I can’t recommend breakfast, we did not include it into the price There are good options around The hotel is super friendly

Rooms are spacious and clean No smell (I am extremely sensitive) No pool which is unfortunateThe hotel personal is very responsive and thoughtful Thank you for a comfortable staying

Lily Smith

The breakfast buffet was outstanding, but the service is even better! The staff is so friendly! They also have a Starbucks The gym was great We experienced difficulty while purchasing a movie, so we called the front desk

They had someone with OnDemand call our room in a matter of minutes, who walked us through how to fix it It was so helpful! Loved everything about our one night stay!

Very nice hotel for a couples stay during an extended Valentine’s weekend Looks like 1970s business architecture, but the inside is quite nicely decorated, and rooms were very nicely appointed It was not very busy, and the prices were excellent and worth the upgrade to the Executive floor with whirlpool baths

Staff was friendly The interior floorplan layout seemed a bit odd and which door is really the main entrance is confusing given this is also a conference center The entrance needs better signage and marking

Greg Seidel

I have stayed at this hotel twice now

once last year and the other time was this past weekend I had such a good stay here last year that I couldn’t wait to come back Well, things changed Last year I would’ve given the hotel 5 stars This year, 2 starsThe Good:- The hotel is located in a forested area with neaby trails that you can walk- The lower level has a pool, hot tub, sauna, and fitness center- Breakfast buffet had an alright price with good offerings- Most guest rooms have a spacious sink area outside the bathroomThe Bad:- The cleanliness of the building took a major nosedive compared to last year When I checked-in on Friday, there was garbage everywhere Empty cups in waiting areas, litter on the floor, and there was a silver breakfast tray (from the previous visitor) that sat outside my room (601) for the entire weekend You cannot tell me that no one from housekeeping noticed that tray sitting there for 48 hours- Pool area might need a refurbishment soon There was rust on the floor and mold on the walls and ceiling (I know it’s a pool area and it’s going to eventually happen)- There was a police investigation going on down the hall from where I was staying- Noise can be so-soOverall, would I stay here again? Maybe to a probably not

Jeff Axelrod

Absolutely disgusting pool with black mold on ceiling tiles and walls Every time we were at the pool there were no towels Staff didn’t have enough towels to bring to the pool to accommodate the guests after we called them for help

Pool chemicals must be pretty harsh; my skin was peeling for several days after the visit Temperature controls in room didn’t work, keeping the room about 5 degrees warmer than set all night Beds were extremely comfortable and room was clean Phone system didn’t work half the time Staff did the best they could under the circumstances and were extremely nice Shower pressure was abysmal but jetted tub was nice

Great location for shopping and dining The room was spacious except for shower which was narrow I forgot to request for a fridge and microwave

Chanel Hamer

I stayed at Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel, for my birthday (3/4 -3/8), I had a lovely time, even when I locked myself out of my room (more than once) I was given extra rooms keys with a smile The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the GM went out of his way to make me feel welcome Only negative is that I wish there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room

other that that I have highly recommend Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel

My husband and I came into town for his 40-year High School reunion It was a great experience! After a long drive and exhaustion, I called the hotel to see if we would be able to check in early Maria was the sweetest and told us we could

That set the tone for the perfect stayThe rest of the staff was very friendly Beautiful hotel and cleanTo it off everything was within walking distanceWe had a wonderful stay and will be back

Vinh Le

Despite the other reviews, I went anyway and to find that people there are really nice especially Maria Just a hello and we had a great conversation about life, great customer service The hotel may need some upgrades but don’t we all; I think we should stop judging and just focus on the positive sides of thing and just enjoy it

Cause if you are able to be at a Doubletree Hilton during this pandemic time, pat yourself on the back and just go enjoy! ❤️ For me the highlight was meeting another like minded person and connecting while enjoying the Pool that indoor outdoor pool as you can see in my pictures is def amazing Go live it up and Thank you Hilton for a relaxed time much needed

Eric Bell

Service was pretty good but the nightly fee they charge for what amounts to tips for housekeeping was kind of cheap If the housekeeping is good I’ll tip accordingly, but don’t fail to disclose this when I book it then I find out when I get there that it’s mandatory Overall pretty good hotel, nice and clean, but I didn’t get a chance to visit the attached restaurant and the shuttle service isn’t very reliable as I had to hail a few ubers

Beautiful room, warm and welcoming staff, and a historical building given new life It’s a magical spot I loved the welcome we got, multiple staff members helping us check in and giving tips and recommendations

The building is gorgeous I am not a fan of the musky woodsy scent they are curating in the lobby but I trust their process otherwise Our room was clean, cozy, and even has a partial view of the lakeThe restaurant on site was great! The food is fresh and hearty and the staff was so friendly and helpful I wish it was easier to get food to your room from the hotel! The pigs in a blanket and bacon mac were a great way to wind down a long dayThe bar to the left of the entrance had the most welcoming bartender who made me a delicious bourbon drink with a bit of a light finish I’d gladly drink again The bar space is the attached photo! Thanks for the wonderful welcome! We are excited to be here the next few days

IK

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay here! The hotel is clean and provides a great history behind its location, and the staff is incredibly friendly The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hotel key cards are actually made to look like famous NU alumni student ID’sOur stay was special because of the bartender, Tara

She made excellent conversation and was extremely accommodating when my partner and I came in right when the bar closed Her kindness made our night and elevated our experience here

Ken Mann

Really poor customer service ruins an otherwise interesting hotel that’s loaded with charmThe joy of staying in a place that’s not a cookie cutter chain A place with a wonderful personality

The staff is warm and courteous with no canned speeches What a pleasure talking a real peopleThere’s a refrigerator in the room and your 1 and 1/2 blocks from a Whole Foods marketSince there’s only one elevator and it’s very slow, I suggest booking a floor you can walk to

The pandemic cutbacks have really made this place inferior to what the Marriott standard used to be We certainly can get by without daily maid service, however there was one tiny bar of soap for two nights for two people We had to move it back-and-forth between the shower and the bathroom

There’s in room coffee to make in the morning, but only enough for one out of two morningsBoth TVs were unplugged, and it took us a few minutes to figure out that we had to plug them in to get them to workThere was a clock radio, but the buttons to reset the time to the correct time only worked for minutes, but not for the hours I guess everyone travels with a cell phone, so the clock in the hotel is now superfluousThe computers were down when we checked in, and they had to take a photo copy of my drivers license and credit card Of course, they said they would shred it once it was entered, but in this day and age, businesses are not supposed to leave that information visible to employees at any timeWe called the front desk to ask for an hour delay at checkout time, but we still had someone knocking at our door half an hour before the promised checkout time to clean the roomThere is a morning coffee bar downstairs, but on a Sunday morning when it was busy, I had to ask for the cream containers to be refilled There were no stirring sticks, but I snuck a spoon from the buffet next-doorWe did have a lovely well presented buffet breakfast for a large groupThe room was clean, and almost everything else was in working order, although the shower drained extraordinarily slowly The room was clean, and everything seemed relatively new and freshHopefully as pandemic fueled staffing shortages improve, they will be able to undo some of the cuts that they’ve been forced to make

Michael Pinto

My wife and I had a night away and stayed here, close to our homeNice and clean hotel and roomSince my in-laws booked us the room as a surprise, they booked it through hotels

com instead of Bonvoy direct They were nice enough to honor my Gold Elite status and the amenities that are associated Very nice of themNice hotel, nice staff, and an a around solid property I will definitely stay here again for a local hotel

Mike Lurie

I will give you the good, and the not so good I hesitate to call it bad, because it really wasn’t terrible, but worth notingFirst, the good

Hotel staff were AMAZING! They were so friendly and helpful From the front desk staff to the breakfast staff to the bar staff – they could not be nicer With every interaction I felt like familyThe room was very spacious and very clean Every room is a suite, so there is a separate bedroom that can be closed from the remainder of the roomThe price was amazing, I wold have expected to pay much moreNow for the not so good I was there in early July, and it was hot outside However, the A/C in the hotel was on overdrive It was so cold in the hotel lobby, bar, and eating area you almost needed a coat or sweatshirt In fact I did see several older folks bundled up because it was so darn coldSame with my room When I first opened the door, I was surprised at how cold it was I had to turn off the A/C to get the room up to a manageable temperatureAnd while the room was super clean, you could tell it is in need of updating The bathroom was great, but not very bright And the sink drained very slowly Also, the hot water faucet would leak when the cold water was turned on, making a sizeable puddle on the counter All of these are easily fixed if they were to spend some time making regular updatesI am still providing 4 stars because the good far outweighs the not-so-good Will definitely stay there again, as it is close to highways and friends and family when I travel to Chicago

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a stay This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area

I have been coming here for a very long time If you decide to stay here you will love it I’m sure! The rooms are clean and the elevator is fun to ride Wonderful place with great architecture and plenty of parking You can use the sky bridge to get to the parking garage and even the near by hotels and Donald’s Stevenson Convenient Center

Justin

Stayed recently for a conference Good stay overall Comfortable and clean rooms

Housekeepers do a WONDERFUL job and were friendly Elevators get backed up because 2 of the 4 didn’t work the whole weekDecent food options in the hotel but limited options in walking distance – all high priced tourist traps $20 breakfast buffet is steep but not surprising for the area (good omelets!) Front desk staff are helpful and friendly You could do worse if needing to stay right next to O’Hare, but if you’re here for the “City” of Chicago, I’d look elsewhere

Mickey Cain

We had a wonderful experience As soon as you walked through the doors you knew you wasn’t in Kansas anymore (joking) the rooms are all very nice and clean and great accommodations Every day the maid came and made our beds in the mornings and made sure we had clean towels

Everything was also clean in the lobby’s and elevators We visited for the anime central and had an absolute blast We definitely will be back next year Thank you for having us and give us a wonderful experience

Every single light in my room could only be turned on at MAXIMUM BRIGHTNESS It was not even possible to use the bathroom in the middle of the night without fully turning on this bright white light (see photo), which made it rather difficult to get back to sleep afterward I shared a double room with a family member, and there was no way to turn on a small light to work or read without waking her up – even the “reading lights” next to the beds were this same bright, undimmable white

The room was otherwise pleasant, the staff are just lovely (really exceedingly friendly and helpful, would give them six stars if I could – they partially opened the lobby coffee bar early for a handful of guests who came down before their official 7 AM opening time), and the courtyard is beautiful, but the lighting issue is just such a huge problem for a hotel room (after all, the point is ultimately to _sleep_ there)

Said Abushamleh

I saw an unrecognized transaction from them I called them, the hotel rep told me it is an internet fee Well, I was told that the internet is free at the check-in

My Expedia booking also shows that the internet is free as well When I mentioned this issue to the hotel rep, she refused to refund this hidden fee, and when I told the hotel rep over the phone that I am going to post a low star review about this, she seemed careless and she said yes go ahead and post a bad review on us!!!

Check in was fast super friendly person the room extra clean and beautiful The bathroom was over sized different sort of sink just don’t turn it on full speed but the shower is wonderful Beds comfortable but small extra soft pillows

We got the shuttle to airport in the morning runs every 15 minutes on time There are 3 restaurants on or around property They are all kind of high end in price but good food We ate at there personal restaurant and enjoyed our meal Will definitely use this hotel again for future travels Also parking in in a garage so cars not left out on lot

Jiri Tvrdik

Everything was exceptional except that the phone system in the rooms continues to be a mystery with me It would be helpful to have some directions in using itThe rooms have everything I need, even a very comfortable chair with foot rest

Room service was great, food excellent and and hot The bed was like sleeping on a cloudI will continue coming to Loews when traveling through Chicago because of the high quality It’s an exceptional home away from home

Spencer Ray

If you are coming to the Rosemont area, this is simply the nicest hotel The rooms were updated, comfortable, and large The toilet paper and bathtub size could be improved in the 1 bedroom suite

However the shower and water pressure left nothing to be desired for a hotel The bedding was the most comfortable I’ve used in the areaThe service was second to none I was here for a busy convention and there also happened to be 2 weddings that weekend at the hotel At no point did I feel Loews was short staffed or made any service concessions as others have The text service was wonderful and every single staff member I interacted with in person or via phone brought a very high level of professionalism and enthusiasm They should sincerely receive commendations for their hard work and effortI did not like the parking garage if it is busy you might be parking on the high floors, I wish I utilized the valetI only wish it was closer to the convention center I’ll be staying at Loews for all future events at Donald However, utilizing a shuttle for hourly service or we would be a great value add service for a busy convention

I rarely write 3-star reviews but I thought this might be good for anyone with families to readHere are things that we didn’t like about this hotel:1 The living room is very noisy and bright

I have 2 teenagers, and we thought the pull out couch would make a good place for one of them to sleep to give them some space It did not work out well They have glass panels in the hotel room doors, which was pretty, but it let in all the hallway light You could also hear everything from the outside They were very busy during our stay and they lounge area was noisy into the middle of the night We could hear this despite being on the 5th floor2 The staff was mostly nice but not always helpful My son got sick while visiting He unfortunately did not make it to the bathroom in time We cleaned this up ourselves because it was out son and we didn’t want to make the cleaning service do it However we didn’t want to keep the towels with vomit in the room I put it in a plastic bag and took it to the front desk for laundry and the lady looked at me like I was crazy I also had to twice ask for beddingThings we did like about the hotel1 The complimentary drinks was a nice touch and appreciated Unfortunately it does get pretty packed during that time so you may not have a place to sit2 The location is perfect Close to other hotels, conventions and the train station is within a 5 minute walk

You get breakfast for each day you stay you get two drinks between 5:00 and 6:30 each day u stayHallways and elevators were way too hot Elevators need at least one fan or two felt like you were going to have a heat strokeRoom was decent I like the setup

Nice size tvs the shower could have been deeper water pressure could have been harderEven though we were by the airport didn’t really hear it unless you were standing outside so that was a plus didn’t get a chance to get in the pool but the area we were in was pretty good restaurants down the road Casino shopping $33 parking but it’s well worth it because you can get in and out without them charging you each time you leaveFirst day of breakfast eggs sausage French toast make your own omelette oatmeal regular toast muffins bagels and cerealSecond day eggs sausage pancakes make your own omelette regular toast muffins bagels cereal oatmealI do recommend this place and I will stay again🙂

Standout staff Accommodating and truly kind Rooms were fine, although both rooms I stayed in had issues with shower temp and water pressure, and multiple common areas like the bar and restaurant were under renovation

They did their best Overall this is an outstanding property under renovation to keep up the standard of service you expect from their brand A great place to stay The attached Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is a game changer

minghao liu

I’ve been to at least 10 Renaissance hotels around the world, and this is easily the worst Renaissance hotel I’ve lived at The service was terrible There was no hairdryer when we checked in, and when I tried to call the front desk, nobody answered, so I had to come to the reception

Also, they weren’t able to provide any slippersThe buildings are quite old, and due to renovation, only half the amenities are open Sound insulation is terrible We were hearing constant door slamming and children screaming, despite us staying in a CORNER ROOM! We got woken up before 7AM on both days we stayed there The shower has very low water pressure, and it takes half an hour to do a “quick” shower There’s also no access control for the elevators, which means non hotel guests can get to any floor they want Fortunately, this neighborhood is relatively safe, so this won’t pose too much of a security riskThe only upside is the price We booked two nights for $135/night, after taxes and fees, which is a good deal for the Chicago area around the memorial weekend However, with the problems mentioned above, this hotel isn’t worth the price

CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFT: We stayed here for a wedding and the room was very nice and clean However, our car, parked in the hotel lot had its catalytic converter stolen overnight Unfortunately, there are no cameras on the parking lots so the police couldn’t do anything

The GM returned my voicemail and did comp our room which was very appreciated (but not much to offset the cost of a new catalytic converter) The theft of catalytic converters is not unique to this hotel, but its proximity to 94 definitely makes it a target I personally feel like putting in cameras is an important step the hotel should take A Marriott should provide some level of security I’m a student and this financial loss is not easily absorbed Just be aware!

Room is much better than I thought it would be (although I don’t have the good view to look outside), but the bed is comfy and the bathroom has plenty space (it makes a big flush sound though so I think other room can here it) The transportation is very close to the hotel so it’s very convenient The road is quite calm and quiet, and there are many restaurants nearby to check out

I once spent the night in a hammock in a Central American jungle during a civil war & that was more pleasant than my stay at the Hilton Orrington in EvanstonRoom 1: We arrived at the Hilton Orrington in the evening and were given a room on the lower floor I asked if one was available on a higher floor and they said no

So we checked into our lower floor room There were blood stains on the bedspread, the hinge was ripped off the closet door, the room reeked of cigarette smoke, and the armchair was filthy and looked as though someone had vomited on it So the next morning we went down to the front desk, told them of the problems, and were given a room on an upper floorRoom 2: The carpet was covered in stains, the air conditioning didn’t work & there were wasps in the room We asked about having the air conditioning fixed and were told that many of the air conditioning units in the hotel didn’t work and that they would put in a work order with maintenance I asked for a fan, but they said they didn’t have any I would like to note that it was 98° outside during our stay and 78° in our room So I killed the wasps, tried to ignore the carpet stains & we suffered through the heat that night Went out for the day, got home at mid-afternoon The air conditioning had not been fixed Went down to the front desk and requested a new roomRoom 3: The very surly man at the front desk gave us a new room but we refused to move until we saw it It was 80° in that room & the air conditioning didn’t work Went back to the front desk and asked for a different roomRoom 4: Smaller than the other rooms, with stained carpet and a postage stamp size bathroom, but no flying/stinging insects & the air conditioning worked However, when we woke up the next morning the bathtub was filled with tiny spiders Fortunately, they were easily washed down the drain with the shower headOverall the staff at the front desk (with the exception of Brittany & Andy, who were lovely) were apathetic, disinterested, unhelpful &, in the case of the thin man with the beard at the front desk, overtly hostile I had assumed that the Hilton brand represented quality, but in regard to the Hilton Orrington, this is clearly not the case

Be aware if you are booking a room with a king size bed, you may sleep on a double bed! Although my online reservation clearly stated Room with a king bed, i was told by staff that my room has a “smaller size king bed” (!!) and if i want a full king, i need to upgrade The bed only had 1 night stand and was super small I just didn’t like the fact that my wife and i were lied to and staff/hotel only cared about charging extra for sth i had already booked! Stay away from this hotel!
