Best restaurants in the City of London

The City of London is the home of the Stock Exchange and the Bank of England. It’s a historic financial hub where modern corporate towers rise above the ruins of ancient streets underneath them. Investment bankers, traders and brokers roam the streets and modern offices. Its trendy restaurants places to relax after intense working hours. Tourists flock to the landmark 17th-century St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Museum of London, and the massive barbican arts venue to see plays.

If you find yourself in the City, here are some of the top restaurants to visit.

Coya

A Peruvian restaurant located in the small streets behind the Bank of England, Coya’s cuisine is always a hit, thanks to a menu full of colorful flavors, colors, and textures. It also has a  with excellent pisco sours to compliment the excellent cuisine. It’s a must visit if you feel like tasting Latin America while in London.



Sushisamba

If you are into fusion then this is the place to be. Located on the last floors of a skyscraper close to Liverpool Street underground station, this /restaurant combines sushi with Brazilian and Peruvian food. If you wish to combine great flavor with beautiful views of London, there aren’t many better places than this.

Duck And Waffle

Located in the same building as Sushisamba, this place will appeal more to people who are looking for more traditional British taste. Combined with an excellent  and amazing views it is a good alternative for Sushisamba, in case you aren’t in the mood to experiment.

Hawksmoor

with a couple of locations in the city, this is one of the places to be when it comes to eating steak. Perfectly cooked on the grill with excellent sides and alternatives you will be satisfied with the high standard. It has an excellent Location just opposite Guildhall – the ceremonial and administrative center of the City of London and its corporation.

Coq d’Argent

A long-time favorite, is pleasantly lavish with its exquisite French menu and old-school service. On summer evenings, a roof patio adds charm, making it the ideal setting for pre-dinner beverages.

Oyster Shed

located on the bank of the river Thames, it provides great views of the Shard and the Tower of London. It’s one of the best places in the City when the weather is nice and you will find big crowds outside drinking and enjoying the sun.

The Anthologist

Modern City  and restaurant, just a few minutes’ walk from Bank station, will keep you hydrated and fed. You’ll find appetizers and larger plates if you grow hungry, in addition to a comprehensive wine list and some extremely gorgeous – and strong – cocktails.

Madison

It’s a viewing platform,  and restaurant all in one. A glass lift transports visitors from the ground level to the east elevation of St Paul’s Cathedral. Once inside the  or in the expansive outdoor area, an unrivaled close-up is also available. The remainder is very much like a rooftop  With Ibiza-style music (particularly on Friday nights), fruity cocktails, furniture designed for midday lounging, and well-dressed tenders. There’s also a covered area to keep neatly dressed patrons looking that way.
