We are Club Wyndham owners at this location

I loved everything except issues with the pool area people were leaving stuff in chairs and then leaving and going back to the rooms or somewhere for hours at a time so that left there no chairs for people that were actually at the pool Especially the Cabana chairs somehow I feel there should be monitored by the facility When we reported it they kind of just acted like there was nothing they could do about it

Anarcho Monk

Right next to some beautiful views, the resort has 4 pools, a game room, from 9am to 10pm as well as a 24-hour gym, spa, and computer room with printer It might not serve breakfast but each room has its own kitchen with fridge, microwave, oven, and sink The best part was the free laundry room

The parking validation was a breeze thanks to customer service

David Levinsky

Great location to enjoy the national harbor area Not too far from Washington DC The facility doesn’t have its own parking, but there’s a parking lot across the street, which the timeshare acts as the intermediary

My guest arrived first and instead of asking how long they plan to stay, they assumed they would stay the duration of the reservation and issued them a parking pass for the length of the reservation When they left 2 days shy of the reservation, they were told there is no refund for unused time The lobby and common areas looked nice My room was a 3 bedroom suite with a balcony The room was a decent size, the amenities were a bit antiquated, and the rug was disgusting My grandson, a 15 month old, was with me and the dirt on his feet, daily, was unacceptable Unless Wyndham plans to renovate, I don’t see myself staying there again This is not the first Wyndham timeshare that I stayed at that seriously needs an upgrade It makes me wonder what they do with our maintenance

Perfect place to stay when in Alexandria, close to King street Close to town square, site of the Saturday farmers market We where able to walk everywhere in the area, especially down to the busy wharf area, which was just a few blocks away

Nicely decorated and maintained Inn, very clean Mattress in the Harrison room is very soft and low to the floor, otherwise it is a very nice room, with plenty of space for two people Communication with Jim, the owner, was fantastic via emails We would definitely stay here again The location can’ be beat, the hotels in the area , although they are on King Street, are quite far away from the wharf area

John T

Absolute perfect spot for our weekend getaway! The host provided excellent communication and support during our stay The “Madison” room was great Spacious, comfortable bed and modern bath

Excellent street view of historic Alexandria Beautiful historic home with tasteful updates throughout The gorgeous kitchen included a coffee bar The dining and sitting rooms are excellent for larger groups and families Don’t be concerned about the non working fireplaces We stayed during one of the coldest nights and were plenty warm The room also included heating fans Parking is also very convenient directly behind the home Dining options are numerous and a short walk away The George of Old Town exceeded our expectations We will definitely book again!

Adrianna Kruyt

We had a surprise 30th birthday at the George A number of guest came from out of town and stayed in the rooms The hotel is the perfect place for hosting with beautiful decor, a huge kitchen and awesome outdoor space

(The historical aspect was a cool bonus!) The rooms were huge, gorgeous and really comfortable It was very easy to get in and out, the surprise went off without a hitch!

Ants Everything was fine with this hotel and my stay until I started eating my dinner at the table/desk in the room and then notice little ants coming all different directions towards my food I then search over the entire desk/table and find and kill about 25 ants

I then clean the table/desk with a wet towel and the towel ended up brown/black Rooms are renovated but shows they cannot even keep the new furnishings cleanOther then the ants the room the room was relatively clean with cold AC and no bad or musty smell in the room Gave a 4 only because of the updated rooms and distance to the national mall or it would have been a 3Even though I shouldI didn’t use the gym but it looks very empty equipment wise Apparently hotel has a outdoor pool McDonald’s right next door was clutch and ants would probably agreeI have come to accept choice hotels either have bugs in the room or the rooms are outdated or both and again sadly I was not disappointed with this stay with those expectations

Troy Brown

Overall, not a bad place to stay if you just need a place to sleep Staff was friendly at check-in, bed was comfortable, good location Had AC as cold as it would go for two days and it barely kept the room from feeling warm

The bathroom door squealed loud enough anytime it moved to wake other people in the room Room had a couple floor to ceiling cracks, hallway carpet was stained, and the elevator was beat up and a little sketchy

Lolita Pollard-Kezele

The rooms are remodeled and nice The outside need to be renovated The halls need attention too

They were working on it but it isn’t done They had a big school crowd It’s important to plan for this during breakfast time We just left and went to get our own breakfast at Denny’s But I would stay here again because the room was comfortable

Hotel is nicely located It’s trying to bill itself as a resort but it’s really not

It’s missing a nice pool, restaurant and bar It does have some club like features on the main floor nicely done The rooms are well equipped for rental your basic vacation condo but a bit dated Hotel is still running under COVID-19 policies for housekeeping which was a surprise for me

Katie C.

Our family has been staying at Wyndham’s across the country for years and they continue to be a wonderful experienceThe staff is almost always very friendly and personable (we all have our off days) and it’s kept so nicely cleanThe location of this Wyndham is perfect, across the street from the metro & beautiful views

We did have the room keys go orange and suddenly decide they did not want to work on the room (but would on the front entrance since it was past midnight)Thankfully the staff was able to help us get it corrected Would love to come back in the near future

Brandon Clift

Lamar, Marquita, and John went ABOVE and beyond for us during our short stay in DC They pulled out all the stops to ensure that my fiance and I were comfortable and had everything we needed for a beautiful stayOur experiences staying in 10+ other Wyndham locations has varied

After our weekend trip to DC my fiance and I both agree that the Alexandria Wyndham is BY FAR the greatest we have stayed inThe best part is that it is located directly on top of the DC Metro, making getting in and out of DC a breeze It is also positioned perfectly at the beginning of the iconic and historic King Street, which we ventured up and down multiple timesDon’t waste your money staying at an overpriced hotel in DC; instead, stay in Alexandria’s Wyndham

Over priced during the week, medium priced on weekends Staff is attentive & polite, rooms very comfortable and clean with great selection of pillows NO microwaves in any of the rooms so you must go down to the lobby which makes it very inconvenient as you’ve got to down dressed which takes completely relaxing out of the question

Breakfast has always been quick, hot and ready but ends by 9:30am – so much for sleeping in when on vacation I’ve frequented this hotel while on medical trips to specialty physicians in DC & visiting with family so needless to say I’ve enjoyed my stays

Spiral Tote

Over priced during the week, medium priced on weekends Staff is attentive & polite, rooms very comfortable and clean with great selection of pillows NO microwaves in any of the rooms so you must go down to the lobby which makes it very inconvenient as you’ve got to go down to the lobby and deal with the microwave than is in a low spot on the shelf in the hotel’s food store

There is a fridge and coffee maker in the room Breakfast has always been quick, hot and ready but ends by 9:30amThe hot water in the sink takes 8 plus minutes to get hot The shower head cannot be moved whatsoever The elevator carpet needs to be cleaned as it smells like the seaweed on a beach or worse

Anthony Noyer

I totally agree with the guy who posted this “It was rather disappointing, it was not as good as the ratings said, and it is also 19 miles from the nearest metro station, not 1 mile The breakfast was poor, but it was in walking distance of many great restaurants

The beds were comfy, but the room was tiny and so was the bathroom The water pressure was fair but it took about 5-6 minutes to get hot and sometimes it would change temperatures in the middle of the shower unprompted Overall it was a fair hotel but I wouldn’t suggest it to my friends” I would also like to add that you gym area needs to be renovated with fresh new colors to freshen up up the room and attract younger demographics It felt like going back in time to the 1990

The Capital Hills Flats studio I had was great and perfect for what I needed on my first trip to DCRoom: The studio was clean, modern and included a very comfortable bed, a kitchenette, plenty closet space, good sized bathroom with tub, and a nice writing desk that viewed the cute neighborhood The kitchenette included dishes, silverware, a Kuereg coffee machine, etc

Location: The flat was walking distance from the Capitol and National Mall Everyday of my stay I was easily able to walk to all the different museums, memorials and monuments Also, it is not far from Trader Joe’s or CVS if you need to pick up some snacks or maybe thing you may have forgotten or need On the way there, you can pass by other local shops and boutiquesOther Accommodations: Laundry machines and detergent are available for use in the basement This was very convienient, especially for those that don’t want to pack a lot of clothes Your own hamper was provided as well in your roomLastly, the staff was very accommodating and was willing to assist me in any questions or requests I hadTo conclude, I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit DC

Just wanted to leave a review based on customer service I’m on my day off and doing uber eats deliveries for extra money The front desk clerk was so condescending it was laughable

He rolled his eyes and shook his head irritated when I explained I would need a signature to confirm the delivery of an Apple product He was rude, classless and embarrassingly unprofessional

I stayed here for a week on a school trip and it was great Our group was well accommodated, and the staff were all very helpful The rooms were really nice and clean, and there was a whole kitchenette and a balcony

It was also within walking distance of a lot of other cool destinations I had a great time at this hotel and I would definitely recommend

Katelyn Collins

I reserved a hotel room for my fiance’s birthday We had a very pleasant stay The staff greeted us warmly and were very accommodating

They even upgraded our room for free! The room was very spacious, like a 1 bedroom apartment, with an attached balcony There was a decently stocked kitchen attached This is a pet friendly hotel, and a dog bed and bowls were provided at no additional charge The gentleman at the front desk even offered to walk our puppy for us There is a hospital close by, and the noises that come with that, and just DC noise in general, but they offer ear plugs, sleep masks and white noise machines The bed was comfortable Wifi was complimentary (a bit slow at times tho) Overall, I would stay here again

The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable The staff was very friendly and helpful The valet parking was convenient

The dining room wasn’t open and the breakfast they offered was average It would’ve been wonderful to be able to have breakfast in the dining room Plastic wrapped muffins and tarts, yogurt and coffee was all they offered There wasn’t much room to sit and eat I’m not sure I’d stay here again for the price they should have the dining room open

dave

I recently spent three nights here and was thoroughly impressed with the service Everyone that I encountered from the front porch to first entering my room was polite and helpful My room was in a corner, with a view toward Washington

It contained the appropriate amount of space, with ample closet room and a well laid out bathroom Every morning, there was a selection of breakfast treats, juice, and of course coffee and teaVenturing out the first afternoon (with little knowledge of Alexandria), we were pleasantly surprised to learn that we were in the middle of the old area of town with various activities and a broad selection of restaurants available to us Walking around near the Morrison was a pleasant experience We enjoyed our stay hereAs bad luck would have it, I discovered when I arrived home that I had forgotten a package and left it at the hotel It had no current contact information attached, so I was worried about what would happen to the item As soon as I called the contact number, I learned that the package had been discovered, and stored in a secure area Within a day, it was on its way to my home, and it arrived safe and sound the following day I was impressed at how helpful the staff was each time I called for a progress reportFor my next trip to Alexandria, I will stay here again, and I highly recommend the Morrison for others

Brandon Acosta

The Morrison House was the perfect location to host our wedding ceremony and reception! We also stayed at the hotel the week of the wedding and had an exceptional stay thanks to all of the incredible staff From the people at the front desk to the team setting up for the wedding everyone went above and beyond to make our experience special This was definitely one of the most hospitable places I have stayed at and cannot thank everyone at The Morrison enough!

This was a great family vacation The hotel was moderately clean, I did find some random garbage in my room down by the beds However, the service was fantastic, especially the woman working the front desk the morning of 4/14 and 4/15/22

Breakfast was amazing we did get breakfast vouchers with our room when booking I would absolutely stay here again, anytime

Anthony

I stayed here for two nights Check in was pleasant and the property honored my Spire Elite status by leaving a note and goodies inside the room and allowing me to checkout late The location is great being right in the heart of Ballston

The room and parking rates are less than nearby hotels Although the service was good, I’m only giving it four stars because the bed wasn’t particularly comfortable and the walls seemed thinned enough to hear into the next room and the housekeeping in the hallway was disturbing because of this

Robert Norris

Just okay Pillows in the room were either completely flat or hard as a brick I found one out of 8 that was barely acceptable

The biggest negative is the breakfast that starts at 7 am That’s too late when you have to be at work at 8 in DC I do commend that they have a made to order breakfast, but it needs to start at 6 am Room itself wasn’t bad and the bed was decent Final negative is $16 a day for parking

The good:-Great big kitchen with two ovens, three refrigerators, two dishwashers, and everything you need to cook-rooms have private toilets/showers (huge plus Never seen it in a hostel before)-good location close to metro, some cafes, and grocery

-a bit cluttered at the entrance, but overall very clean and comfortable-a shared laundry room-tv with netflix, hulu, apple tvThe bad:-not much really Could feel some tension among staff, but that’s pretty normal when you work with othersIt’s an okay place for an okay price I’d consider coming back

ᄀᄌᄋ

I do not really understand why only three reviews were here so far This is just an amazing place Very close from downtown and convenient transportation, at the same time very quiet outside unlike the hotels in the downtown since it is just at the midst of normal residence

Very close to a nice market closing at 12 am We can use the refrigerator and cook, the dish washer Very clean and everything is kept perfectly The quiet rule is very nice at night The free breakfast is not just a toast but includes some bakeries made by the bussiness owner who might be in the age of moms of teenagers Pretty friendly environment and privacy is respected If I have chance to visit DC again, I will definitely come here again With half price of hostels in downtown, I can enjoy much more things than there

Beauti Dreamer

a really great place to stay while in dc, everything is minutes away from downtown the place is always spic and span I really felt comfortable in this place, they give complimentary breakfast every morning and the linens are always clean, you meet great people here and the rooms are a great size comes with your own bathroom, and coded doors

so my things are secure with or without the coded door this place is so quiet that it feels like my home away from home, great customer service whenever i come to dc i will always come here

Great location for a week Clean and great staff Manager was an expert at handling issues

However, some variables that need addressedPesticides smell: travel a lot and never experienced this anywhere else It not pesticides, some distracting smell existsSecurity: door locks could be upgraded Window lock are actually broken in certain rooms Definitely the one I stayedBottom line: a great place and recommend

The Courtyard Springfield is a somewhat run down hotel that does not live up to the other Marriott properties we have visited Bathrooms were marginal in upkeep (Running toilets, squeaky and hard to close doors, damaged towel racks)$10 per person parking fee

Three of us arrived in one car so our one night parking fee was $30 for a single vehicle When we booked, the website gave us the total with all fees Did not include any parking fees Seems like a backdoor way to hide the real cost of the roomAC could not keep the room cool or control the humidity Not a comfortable nightIn general would not recommend this hotel There are many other better options within a couple of miles

Kristi Germ

The rooms had an odd smell The mattresses were nasty Urine or throw up stain on mattress near the head of the bed

The other mattress had what looked like dried boogers or bed bug shells in the cracks The windows open, but the screen was completely ripped so we had to keep it shut Cost extra to park and breakfast is not included Not worth the $170 Won’t return*Pictures attached

I have to say that the front staff is very helpful and professional My original room was nice, updates bathroom and very clean I had a issue with the TV since it didn’t work at all

Matt the attendant on duty came and checked it out, once he noticed that the TV needed to have a maintenance call, he switched my room without issues, double checked to make sure all amenities were in working order and then delivered the new room keys to me My second room was the same from the first I was right by the elevator, but did t hear a thing, seems like the room are well insulated Bed was comfortable and the amenities were in point I’ll be here again for my next work trip, glad to know there is a great staff here

Samantha Oney

The rooms are comfy and stylish and the hotel was nice and clean Though we were disappointed that the pool was closed and the shuttle wasn’t running But the staff were all very helpful

The breakfast bar was especially delicious with lots of choices, all kept fully stocked and fresh by Miss Debora She was so kind and friendly and very helpful She made sure to chat with everyone and make sure we all had what we needed It was a great way to start the day

Stayed at this location for almost a week Wished they would of extended my stay but that didn’t happen The person that made my stay enjoyable was Deborah

This is probably one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in DC The staff are super nice and welcoming, always making sure your visit and stay is enjoyable and going out of their way to make you feel welcomed All the ladies working here are angels

I was scheduled to arrive late at night, and Jessica waited for me and checked me in when I arrived at night The hostel is in a very nice neighborhood (Capitol Hill) Although it’s not close to the tourist sites, the Metro is 2 blocks away, you’re right by a grocery store (Trader Joes), and surrounded by great bars and restaurants The wifi worked on all the floors (no spotty signal, it was strong on all 3 floors!) and rooms were super cool (a respite from the scorching DC heat) The rooftop patio was nice, and the outdoor patio Delicious chocolate chip pancakes were served every morning, with coffee TV had majority of the streaming services on it to keep you occupied, lounge on the 3rd floor had books and 2 computers The only complaint I have is that the bathrooms are kinda in a very awkward spot (located smack dab in the living room) Anyone can see and hear you walk to and from the bathroom (and what you do inside), and when you walk out, the whole living room can see The men’s showers are also next to the living room/kitchen, and anyone walking by the kitchen can see everything going on in the showers, making it slightly uncomfortable Rooms were a bit cramped and small But overall, the hostel was very clean and modern

Honest review If you value security find another hostelThere was definitely some positives The staff were amazing, and the beds were fairly comfy

That’s about where the positives ended unfortunatly for meI was unable to feel secure inside the hostel The outer front doors stay unlocked the whole time, and the front doors, while locked have a hole in the middle for sliding documents through, that could fit a small arm and someone could easily just open the door from inside The rooms themselves have zero locks on them (completely unacceptable in my opinion) They do have lockers, but they are all on the second floor (dorms on all 3 floor) and definitely not big enough to fit a larger backpack, and not enough for every guest, so there is a chance you won’t get a locker and have to leave your stuff in an unlocked roomThe rooms were too small, with barely any room between the beds You will feel like a sardine can in the rooms, and I have zero idea how it passed fire code inspectionThe men’s shower area has no lock on the door and it’s just off of the kitchen I’d hate someone to be eating and get an eyeful they don’t want to see while eating When I was there only one overhead light in the bathroom was working, the other was flickering, generally meaning electrical problems, and apparently it had been like this for a few days There is rust all around the base of the bathroom light fixtures, meaning they aren’t meant to be used in a moisture rich environmentAll in all, would NEVER stay here again, or reccomend to anyone unless you are in a real pinch Even then sleep with all your important stuff basically attached to you so you can feel secureUnacceptable for the price I paid for the hostel I did not feel safe or overly comfortableBut as I said, with all that, the staff truly are wonderful! They are super helpful and accommodating and great fun to hang around
