Let’s see, super thin walls made it so that when the neighbors who didn’t get in until 11 (ok no biggy) let their toddler run around and scream and yell and literally bang on the walls We heard everything The desk attendant said they would handle it but apparently that means totally ignoring it and doing nothing

Was told the pool was open but it was padlocked shut and there weren’t any chairs or anything to sit on just hard concreteFridge didn’t work Coffee maker didn’t work Didn’t try the microwave but I wouldn’t have been surprised if it hadn’t workedNo idea where the ice machine was, when finally found, turns out it was small and emptiedAC barely worked And the beds which were supposed to be queens were definitely full sized bedsPay extra and go down the street to holiday inn or days inn Skip this POS

First of all, I don’t know how this place has almost a four star rating I’ve stayed at hotels that costed me the same amount of money and were much nicer We had to make a last minute trip and this was the cheapest one I could find whose reviews didn’t mention roaches

I decided to book their superior room since it was only $10 more a night and advertised a whirlpool tub When we got our room and I tried to use the jets in the tub they did not turn on Not only that but the tub looked in bad need of some refinishing and caulking I also noticed there were hairs floating around in the tub that weren’t mine so I have to wonder how well it was cleaned beforeWhen we went to check out I told the person at the front counter that the tub didn’t work and she told me I needed to turn a switch on behind the door before I used the button in the tub The person who checked us in did not tell me this and therefore I was not able to enjoy the jets that I had paid for I did not get comped or even a sorry from the person who checked us out Even if I had been able to enjoy it the cleanliness of the tub was still very questionableNot worth the money

Very impressed with this hotel and the staff We had a pleasant stay for 4 nights Their continental breakfast is the best I’ve ever seen

Not only that, all the staff were friendly and personable One morning when my associate slept in and was going to miss breakfast, Crystal was so nice she delayed breaking down the waffle makers and even heated up some extra sausage for him so he would not miss eating They were also very accommodating to little extras like giving us an extra blanket when we asked The rooms were clean and we really had no issues I’ll definitely book with Quality Inn again next time I’m visiting Bastrop

Great atmosphere I also must say, the night time front desk worker (the very spunky upbeat one) was AMAZING I’ve been traveling state to state for work, for an entire year now

Been to 38 states and counting, multiple times each, staying in hundreds of different hotels and motels, and he BY FAR was the NICEST, most GENEROUS, and OUTGOING front desk worker we have ever had the pleasure of meeting And he works NIGHTS Nobody that works nights is ever that nice I work nights and I’m grouchy So that’s really saying something I don’t know how long he’s been working there, but if he hasn’t gotten a raise yet he certainly needs one asap Seriously one of the kindest humans we’ve met in a LONG time I can’t remember his name, but he’s super tan and has grey hair, and you’ll know em when you see em

We used BW Bastrop Pines in for our wedding hotel block and it served it’s purpose beautifully Is it a luxury stay with breakfast to write home about? No Is it an affordable, clean room with Texas-shaped waffles for breakfast? Yes

We had almost the entire place booked Saturday night, and quite a few rooms Thursday and Friday as well The only guests who had any issues booking were the ones who did so after the block rate ended so their fault Lol The front desk staff was very pleasant and congratulated my husband and I when we first arrived there Every morning, there were members of both sides of the family having breakfast together and swapping stories It was lovelyThe most impressive thing the staff did for us happened the night of the wedding My husband and I, along with the majority of our 130 guests, rode the shuttle back to the Best Western and began to congregate in the lobby Most of the people staying in the hotel were there for our wedding so the group continued to grow My new mother in law spoke to Austin at the front desk and secured a conference room for us to continue the party It was perfect for more mingling and face time with our guests We even had all of the leftover food brought in there and it was quickly devoured! It was such a nice gesture from the staff and we really appreciated it! Veena, the manager, was also very nice and helpful I would definitely stay here again!

What a great RV park !! Wonderful facility and wonderful service Very clean and very well kept Fantastic bathrooms with showers and a great laundry room

All brand new equipment Mark and Jerry go out of their way to get you anything you need They have something for the whole family We couldn’t have been happier with our long-term stay at Hope Hill RV Park

Daniel Young

Great RV park Very nice and easy to navigate with a big camper The folks that run it are very nice and more than accommodating

Internet was great Laundry room was nice and clean It was also pay by phone which awesome not having to try to find quarters to wash clothes The shower rooms were very nice as well Only draw back is having to pay basically 2 months rent upfront The second month you pay for they will refund you or you can use as your last month’s rent which is great, but shelling 1500$ kind hurts a person’s feelings lol But with that being said I will always call them first if I’m in the area It’s worth it to be to feel comfortable

Liana Stone

Fantastic park! Numerous things make this place extra special:-Gorgeous rural setting with walking trails and room to roam, but just a short drive from Austin-Nicely laid out sites and overall structure of the park-Four very cool individual shower rooms for public use (definitely use those- basically a spa day!)-Clean, modern, attractive laundry facilities and office space with public seating areas and a huge wrap-around deck-Laundry runs on an app that you download- very efficient, and nice to not have to deal with quarters!-Propane available for sale, but note that there is no public-use sewer dumpWe loved staying here As a fulltime traveling family of six, we typically avoid RV parks because they often feel too cramped- that was not the case here! The park had a nice mixture of longer-term residents and short-term visitors, and a generally warm and welcoming vibeIf you’re in the area definitely bookmark this place

Mark and Jerry are both great to work with and will do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was even better than I was expecting! The owners have really thought of everything The attention to detail was outstanding from personal s’mores kits and free in room snacks, to the beautifully decorated yurts and cozy bedding, to the fun yard games and hammocks outside We spent time hiking around the property along the very well marked trails, we actually enjoyed the hikes on the property more than the ones we did at the state parks

The fire pit and hot tub every night was the perfect ending to our days If you are looking for something out of the ordinary this is the perfect getaway!

Angel Franco

Mi wife, myself, and our friends and son stayed here in a yurt each They are really cool and spacious The hosts provide really awesome snacks, each yurt a little bit different than the other

They welcomed us personally and gave us a run down of the place as we arrived There are lots of trails, a pond for catch and release, and plenty of outdoor entertaining space that includes gas grills for cooking, a huge hot tub, outdoor games, and a large covered outdoor area The only down side of the yurts is the lack of any kitchen related equipment (including a microwave) However, there are lots of restaurants just 10 minutes away in Bastrop and bringing food to grill in a cooler worked out for us tooCan’t recommend this place enough Great hosts, great facilities, and lovely outdoor Will be going back again!

Our stay at the Reserve at Green Leaf was heavenly I am a person who LOVES forests and being among the trees, so from the moment we approached the property I was excited for what lay ahead Here little paths meandered around tall growth pine, cedars and oak

Smooth gravel-paved roads led us to a “campsite” built with luxury in mind We pulled up to a well shaded parking space and approached what felt like a little secret glen: a green grassy area, flowers growing and thriving, and a little deck with adirondack chairs Like all the yurts on the property, ours had such an authentic, in-the-woods feel, yet it was also state-of-the-art modern and perfectly appointed with furnishings, designer color schemes, and the kind of thoughtful touches only a superb host would think of! I loved all the locally sourced items such as freshly ground coffee for our morning French Press, wonderful handmade soaps to compliment the elegant shower and bath, and ample fresh, filtered drinking water (too many air b-n-b’s forget that you need something besides tap water!) My favorite moment of our stay was going on a 2-3 miles hike with my son We followed the well marked paths to such sights as Huckleberry Hill and West Wood Trail, and at one point all we could hear was the whooshing sound of a breeze as it moved through all the trees I should add that we stayed here during the first week of July, during a record heat wave in what is already a hot central Texas climate Yet, we felt cool and refreshed in our air conditioned yurt, with plenty of opportunities to get outdoors in the shade of the trees (or with the add-on amenity of the Owner’s pool, which they maintain at a fresh cool temperature) All around I just highly recommend this place!

Great place, I have never stayed at a b@b before and this was my first experience The rooms were cozy and comfortable We had a little trouble getting in the main house for Breakfast but it was only because we might have been s little late to Breakfast

The cinnamon rolls were amazing along with the rest of Breakfast I highly recommend the Katy house

Jill Walles

Not sure I will have all the words to express how very special our stay was at the Katy House My daughter, two friends and I stayed there to celebrate her 16th birthday What a beautiful and special weekend for us! I’m thinking we should turn this into an annual birthday tradition

Tiffany truly has the gift of hospitality and the Katy House is such a wonderful place to relax and refresh We loved being within walking distance of all the great stuff in downtown Smithville Five stars and more!

Jim Fraser

My wife and I go to COTA quite often and to be up front, staying in Austin has become a big hassel, we met Tiffany the owner of the Katy House and decided to stay in Smithville and just go back and forth to the track Our cottage was Clean, Quiet, and so relaxing! The drive to the track is about 30 minutes on surface roads simple and easy with great scenery! At the end of day we couldnt wait to get back, great breakfast in the morning AWESOME! The local restaurants are also outstanding!Theo and Co

We booked the room because the site said they had a pool, they had a pool alright but it was bone dry When we asked we were told that it had been drained and closed because someone decided to let their kids be entitled, destructive heathens Why didn’t they just call the cops and have the offenders removed instead of punishing the rest of the paying guests? I guess if you want to let your kids run amok and destroy property whole complete strangers ate forced to any for your brats behavior definitely take your kids there

I will not be back!!!!

Absolutely wonderful spot This resort is only about 25 hours away from our home near Houston but you feel like you are so far away from everything when you’re there

The drive down the 3 mile long, curvy and hilly entrances is beautiful and really gives you a sense that you’re getting away from it all When you pull in to the entrance you can just feel that this place is just awesome Every single staff member we encountered were super friendly and nice The grounds are beautiful and there is plenty to do for everyone We love the lazy river/pool area We’ve been several times to Lost Pines and even when it was 107° degrees, the lazy river feels great Plenty of shade from lots of trees and the water is cool We’ve shot skeet, rode horses, taken nature hikes, the kids did build-a-bearthe place is amazing The restaurants are very good too There’s something for whatever you’re into and plenty of room for large groups We’ve stayed in the Governor’s Suite every time and it’s a great room Plenty of elbow space, couple of small refrigerators and a very large bathroom in the bedroom Great place all around and we highly recommend a stay!!

Lorena Abitante

It was really good overall The staff are friendly The property is gorgeous

You do feel you’ve escaped being there I think it’s over-priced at $575/ night They don’t give you a dang thing for that expense Only two bottles of water per room per day The skeet shooting and horseback and all other activities outside the pool cost extra They even charge $18/ day to self park And everything is expensive in the resort One complaint I do have is the lack of the respect to people who don’t have kids I know this is family oriented That’s great However, every night kids ran up and down the halls as late as after 11 pm and by 9 am And they allowed kids to ride scooters in the lobby At one point I’m dodging kids There’s one space where adults have to go in the whole building to have some downtime called Scribes I was told by staff that they are allowing children in there now Sunday through Thursday Just no! I needed some peace for just a bit They need to keep that an over 21 area They also need to close the doors so it’s even more relaxing Please consider that not everyone that visits has children And we deserve a downtime area Like I said, spectacular place with views of the Colorado River and wonderful lazy River Just leave adult areas for the adults Please

Benny Castro

A great vacation that really only needs some extra attention to detail to make it 5 stars and worth the priceI really enjoyed my time here The staff were all so great

Everyone was friendly and made us feel so welcomeThe room was nice Mostly updated and very comfortableMy main complaint with the hotel stay would be the lack of food/water There is no room service available, which is truly bizarre for a resort On top of that, the vending machine on our floor was broken, and the water dispenser was broken So we only had our 2 bottles of water This is something that is so easily rectified by simply having housekeepers stock the refrigerator with extra water on floors with broken machinesThe restaurants were all great The breakfast was delicious with nice variety The bar had a nice food selection tooThe Spa is included with resort stay, which is a really nice surprise There’s steam and dry saunas, jacuzzi and pool, gym and massage All very goodThe only complaint I had is the men’s shower was broken and only had cold water, which really sucks But after a sweat in the sauna you gotta do what you gotta doI really would say it’s great, and deserves 5 stars if they paid attention to the broken stuff It’s not a budget hotel, they should be on top of these minor issues that can take away so much from a guests enjoyment

I hate to be so direct, but in over 20 years of traveling with our RV, this is the worst RV park we have ever visited In fact I would not call it an RV park, but a weed field with a dirt road I would like to be generous as the owner was nice enough on the phone, but the following are the issues:1) There is no official name sign on the turnoff

Just a “now open” sign and the turn radius is very sharp We only found it with our GPS2) No manager was ever on property for the 3 days we were onsite3) The sites are all dirt back-in and not near level4) There are some sites with trees, but not many5) There are no picnic tables or concrete pads for tables or grills, etc6) There is no grass anywhere, just tall weeds It does not look like there has been any care taken with the property7) There are no spaces (grass or etc,) for pets We had to walk our dog in the weeds or dirt8) There is internet, but no cable or satellite We were able to get a very limited amount of channels from our antenna from Austin area9) No other amenities yet the price is equivalent to other, much nicer parksAll in all, we will never go back and we certainly could never recommend it for short or long term stays

In the morning they have bags of goodies for you if you’re on the go The staff members are absolutely amazing They are extremely helpful and accommodating Thir pool was open, but the heating wasn’t working at the time so it was very cold, but completely worth it It was spacious and inviting The rooms were comfortable but don’t have a lot of light I highly recommend staying here
