Thank you so much Jen !!!!! This place is highly recommended and indefinitely the best motel around! Make sure you do your research before booking places to stay here This place has a full bath , kitchen , living room , & decent sized rooms! You will not regret coming to starlight !

Starlight was a great beach motel for sure! Definitely one of the better ones if not the BEST I’ve stayed in at the Jersey Shore All these reviews are true, at first I was like wow

no bad reviews Lol but it’s for a reason! The pool is a great size, as the rooms are pretty big also We stayed in a two queen and a twin The room was also super clean, beds were comfortable and the ladies in the front were very friendly The only thing that we weren’t crazy about at first was sharing a parking spot with someone and having to give our keys to the desk if we park someone in however we didn’t have issues with it so it worked out fine during our trip I will definitely stay here again, Ortley is such a cute area and I definitely liked it much better than staying in Seaside for sure Thanks Ortley and Starlight for a great beach getaway! 💖🌊☀️

Kimberle Leque

This place was absolutely horrible…we had a queen size bed for 4 nights The room itself was very dirty, the toilet didn’t flush, the smell of mold that came out of the A/C was awful, I had to wear a mask…then to top it off the smell of the restaurant and all the garbage that was out for the animals to pick at…absolutely horrible place…save your money…needless to say we left the very next morning, completely ruined our vacation

Colleen Ciecura

A very well run Motor Lodge Cleanliness is priority here! The staff is extremely friendly and they give a feeling of home yet being on vacation!Everything is well sanitized, The rooms are very nice with something for every budgetYou are steps away from the beach and within 10 minute walk or less to some great restaurants

Very relaxing to sit on the balcony and just well relaxNeed to get away for a few days you won’t be disappointed!

Thaddeus Lazor

Room was clean, nice sitting area in front of room, have been coming here for years annually Mattresses were hard, needs some updating Pool was not sufficiently cleaned although we had a little rain in the morning

No more tables with umbrellas, no sitting chairs We were at pool at 12:30 PM A lot of sand on the bottom of the pool and bugs on top and along the pool wall Asked the woman at the desk if someone could clean it and she said it was cleaned at 9:00AM and that’s it I said as a guest it’s dirty, very rudely she responded it was cleaned Not the service and clean pool I remembered I don’t think we’ll be back, very disappointed on this trip

I came across Luna Mar completely at random and had never been to Seaside Park previously What struck me when booking was review after review mentioning how long they’ve returned to Luna Mar (sometimes multi- generations!) Prior to arriving, I corresponded with Tom and he was great answering all of my questions and accomodating my later check in

Once my family of 5 arrived, everything was perfection They truly make you feel like family Tom and his wife are fantastic, rooms cleaned daily, fresh bagels and (good!) Coffee every morning Steps from beach and comfortable walk to boardwalk and amusements Count us in as another family that will return year after year! Sarah & Luca Family

Barely ok Can’t understand how everyone rates this hotel so highly Yes the manager is nice but rooms fall short in terms of comfort: worn sheets and lumpy, dirty pillows

Stained, worn blankets As a small, thin woman the bathroom is hardly large enough to get in, no less turn around At least the AC worked and the shower was decent

Brian Sutherland

The owners were all friendly The rooms are very clean And I’ve heard that this place is the cleanest on the island, and it truly is!! Great cleaning staff and great owners!! This place is a great place to stay for vacations, especially family vacations

The beach and the bay were also walkable from the motel! It was an excellent stay!

It has the most amazing private beach and extremely clean rooms Yes, the parking is very tight, but there are enough spots that are easier to pull into If the parking really concerns you, just park on a side street I would highly recommend this motel for a Point Pleasant getaway Thank you Betty Ann for another amazing weekend!

Best place to stay If your visiting LBI! Free showers in back to wash sand off after beach! Hotel rooms, service,& pricing are great! Al & Christine & family are great hosts as well as very knowledgeable! Awesome location at quiet end of island! Great places to eat & shop at nearby! Beach tags can be purchased here & the beach itself is close by!

Tim Bartlett

We came down to the North Shore in in May while our floors were being redone We had heard good things from friends who stayed there last year, and we were not disappointed We had two of the standard first floor rooms and they were spacious, impeccably clean, and pleasant

We had to do some work during the day, and we found the table provided in the room a good place to work The owner (Chris?), welcomed us and was flexible when we weren’t sure how long we were going to stay I also love this part of the Island, which is a bit quieter and less overrun than the other parts It’s amazing to be so close to the beach This place is *very* good value for money

Katie

We love staying here 🙂 We try to visit every summer!! 🌞 The North Shore Inn is so convenient to the ocean, the lighthouse, and restaurants on the north side of Long Beach Island The owners are exceptional and always so nice and happy to help !! We reserved one of the suites on the top floor and it had the perfect kitchenette for our shore stay We had a microwave, mini fridge, mini stove, and sink

The suite also came with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils 🍽 The accommodations were very clean and tidy and there is an outdoor shower area to wash off before you enter your room

RANDI CARNEY

Booked a room for two nights When we arrived, he gave us room #3 My wife, two young kids and I entered the room, and wouldn’t even put our bags down

It was disgusting! hair in the beds, spiders all over the walls/ceilings, smelled like mold, and bathroom was filthyI went and told him, and he said “Oh sorry, here take room #1, that’s our best room”We walked into that one, and it was just as bad, only this one had blood on the pillow caseI went back and told him we just can’t do it, so he said we would be refunded, and “couldn’t understand it, he had his best cleaner do that room, and he just shook out the sheets himself”that was in july, here we are almost three months later, and he still hasn’t returned a call, or refunded our money as promised I guess some people feel their reputation is only worth a few hundred dollars Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere

Paul Flores

Rooms are small 2 beds, nothing fancy, yet, very clean It was accommodating enough for 2 adults,1 teen, 1 toddler & a just right space for a playpen/ bedParking is tight but manageable

WeHad great service, a very comfortable tiny house experience with a great time for tasteOhh! Also has a small fridge & microA plus for saving $ & reheating leftoversThank you

My family and I have gone to this motel every summer for 5 yearsUsed to be so family oriented and quiet I loved the neighborhood and small breakfast spot next door

After this stay we have decided to not return, which is sadNo issues with hotel in general, accept for the fact that they used to have a coffee bar in the morning prior to Covid and have not brought it back, nor are there coffee machines in the rooms so you have to travel for a morning cup & I feel like that’s a negative for a coffee drinkerMy reasons for not returning are the place is really attracting a crowd of unfavorable peopleThe cursing and fighting is ridiculousThe maid allowed her children at the pool area where they were blasting music with curse words and gun shots in front of my young kidsJust really all around and uncomfortable atmosphere for young children and families anymore

Fly Glizzy “FGF” GThaGoD

We will definitely be coming back, it’s affordable yet cozy My wife loves it too so hopefully we can create memories here with our son as he gets older Definitely recommend the king room, only bad part about it is the stares but I’m just glad it’s clean, doesn’t smell like cigarettes, is a great size, bed doesn’t creak like crazy, it’s just right in space and feels homey

Honest Central NJ

Stayed here for a few months during the winter season They basically offer it like a winter rental The motel is relatively clean

The bi-weekly rooms are very small with a small table, mini-fridge, and a microwave (no coffee maker) The bathrooms are surprisingly very spacious compared to the rooms The televisions themselves are okay but they need to upgrade to a high-definition package because it was a blurry standard definition picture that didn’t fit the screen (it is 2022) The only issue is the maids They have the most annoying maids on the planet

The only redeeming quality is the front desk staff We had a reservation for a King; that didn’t happen Was told: “we will put you right by the ice machine” (out of order)

Room was never “cleaned”; had to go down to the desk for clean linens I defy anyone to describe the water temperature as “warm” Hot water is not in the discussion…”not cold” is the best description The only thing complimentary is water at the front desk

I stayed for a wedding I was in just two weekends ago the wedding was a Saturday and I stayed the Friday before because I was UNABLE to stay the night of the wedding First, the room I booked was not next to the bride in which is was supposed to be and it was clarified when I got To the hotel for check in as I was assured it was the same floor and next to the room

I ended up being on a total separate floor The brides father went down without my knowledge and made sure they changed my room so they ended up doing so…The day of the wedding around 930-10 I brought all of my things to my car and got ready in the bridal suite Hair makeup and all Room card placed on the counter for checkout Busy wedding day it was clearly The night went on and I was downstairs from 2-10:15 pm for photos then the actual wedding I left the hotel to go home with my child I DID not stay a second night yet I was charged as I did I nicely reached out to the hotel management and was basically told, well you may not have stayed but someone must have the room key was “apparently” used well after midnight!? Ok well again, wasn’t me!! The service is horrendous and they should have given me my money back but they did not instead they said well we did you a favor and will refund you 50 percent off… umm? No… my money should have been fully refunded back to my accountI will never stay here again needless to say! Unreal and not good customer service skills here You guys should actually be ashamed!Don’t stay if you don’t have to people Trust me

Could have been a great vacation but read the reviews before booking I’ve never met less hospitable staff at a hotel than here While I was there, the ladies at the front desk managed to make a group of guests — extended family with several generations — feel very unwelcome

I didn’t think they’re unfriendliness would affect me but nope, ruined the whole vacation Better off getting a root canal Or going to DMV Too bad I liked Lavallette but we won’t be coming back here Ever

Amanda Grasso

HORRIBLE PLACE Got kicked out for going through wrong enterance Also stole money from my friends and I and over charged us

Never again Also there was some sort of huge bug in the bed when we got in the room Staff was very unprofessional and rude They were not understanding at all when we accidentally went through the wrong enterance Don’t stay here your stay in lavalette will be miserable

I researched for well over an hour before settling on shore point motel and I’m glad I did! The reservation process was simple and checking in was just as smooth and easy! I’ve never stayed in a motel before so I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect as I’ve only used hotels! Upon entering the room, it was small but more than enough for our stay The room was immaculate and you could tell there’s been a lot of upgrades done It smelled good as well! The ONLY complaint I had was the bed wasn’t up to par for my liking but having nerve damage in my spine after multiple spinal surgeries, I don’t find many beds to be comfortable but that wouldn’t stop me from staying there again

We stayed there so we didn’t have to drive home after a concert at Jenks and the walk to Jenks was less than 10 minutes The lady at check in and the lady at check out were both very friendly and helpful and I won’t hesitate to stay again You can’t beat the price and I can’t imagine finding a cleaner motel in town Just be sure to bring all your own toiletries as they only give you two small bars of soap I’m assuming that’s typical for motels?? Give them a try and I’m sure you’ll be just as happy as I was! ALSO Be sure to visit an amazing little place called The Beanery on Bay Ave The food and coffee drinks were out of this world Will definitely be back there many times

Nicole Karg

We decided to take a vacation to Point Pleasant and booked two rooms at Shore Point Motel The rooms were clean The staff were very friendly and helpful

Even allowed us a later checkout I would definitely put shore point above the other hotels in the area It is a friendly, quiet, comfy hotel and in a great location We loved it so much that we are going back next week! 😁 Excellent! Definitely recommend for any vacation to the shore! Won’t stay anywhere else now that I’ve found shore point Their prices are also very affordable and excellent! Thank you

We have been coming here to stay since 2005 It is our go to They are one of the few places open all year round which makes it a great place to stay for fishing any time of the year

Rooms are clean and well equipped with cleaning service offered daily along with a smile It is close to the beach, the boardwalk, and many good restaurants There is a nice sized heated pool that makes for a relaxing afternoon There is ample parking close to the rooms that makes it easy to unpack your belongings They also do a happy hour at the bar on site where they serve good drinks at a fair price and complimentary food items such as pizza, small sandwiches, soup, mac and cheese, and many other items depending on the day The family that runs it are wonderful people who we consider friends after so many years They are very helpful and accommodating It has become our home away from home You can’t pick a better place to stay in the area You won’t be disappointed

Bontras Snide

Overall, my experience with this hotel was okay The doors didn’t work well and took a lot of jostling to open The helper, Frank(?) was a bit eccentric and gave me a strange vibe but was very helpful despite this

Their breakfast was phenomenal for hotel food, though Their pool was also great They had hot water in their showers and warm beds in their rooms I would recommend it to others but if you do go, then ask the helper before using the doors, just so you get it down

We loved this place! Yes the rooms are dated but that’s ok!! They literally went above and beyond for me and our family! We stayed from April 19th till April 24th I sent them messages asking for our room to be extra sanitized due to my son being on chemo and that they done!! They only came in for room to service it when asked (due to my son being on chemo) they made sure we had a good working refrigerator and all that! The room and beds were super clean they even gave us an updated newly painted room!! And as we was staying there they was working on getting the pool ready for the season!! My kids loved the fact that it’s only a 5 minute walk to the beach, so it wasn’t too much for my son!! That’s a PLUS!! The desk clerk’s were awesome!! They even called to check on us as we was running late to check in (traveled from Oklahoma) The only two downfalls I can express was they didn’t have a breakfast, and the elevator is super small and the doors on the elevator don’t have sensors to stop them!! But other then that this place was pretty awesome for our family!! THANK YOU WINDJAMMER FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY!!

I was visiting a friend there I was actually surprised at how much nicer the rooms were from when it was The Sea Pine Much cleaner and more modern

The rooms are a lot better than some of the hotels I’ve been to in Florida that are in the heart of everything and suppose to be nice I would recommend staying here in the summer when the pool is open

Don’t let the pictures deceive you The room I had was very small and dark The curtains are old and they don’t close completely allowing sun light in early in the morning

The bathroom door was not hung properly as it was very hard to close The shower area, the tub was rusty and old The pictures of the pool are true and the grounds are well kept Review your options carefully as there should be better places for the same expensive price We won’t be back for sure

This place was amazing! I came here once on a whim and now it’s a tradition that I come here every year (so far I’m up to 7 years) What makes this place so great are the employees and owners

and also the rooms are updated clean and the beach is so close It’s really a relaxing stay when I go to Lavallette I highly recommend Tradewinds!!

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this Jersey Shore gem Clean rooms, perfect sized pool, location is awesome ( 1 block to the beach) You are not in the middle of the tourists but close enough to Pt

Pleasant or Seaside to get your fix The staff is wonderful My 5 year old locked the bathroom door twice and they were ready with the special key We will always stay here when the Jersey shore is on our summer destination list 😁

I wish I could have rated better, but can’t This place is not kept well It need investment

This place is dirty The location is great So close to the beach and the action You can’t beat that! The pool looked nice, but We didn’t trust it at all If the room wasn’t kept well so was probably the pool We had such a good time outside, but the aura changed every time we went to the room I could not take it anymore and we left a day early Mixed feelings for sure

If I could do a negative rating I would DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! The box spring was absolutely disgusting! There was blood, food, dirt, unknown white “stuff” and God only knows what else on EVERY side of it! Ironically it still had a dry cleaning tag on it I didn’t have the stomach to look at the mattress

The towels in the bathroom were old, dingy, stiff and spelt like BO The washcloths we’re dirty and one even had makeup still on it The room itself was clean, the tile floors were clean and that’s literally where we slept If it wasn’t 2am when we arrived we would have left We canceled the reservation for the rest of the weekend! There was literally no parking available and we drove around the block of the hotel 3 times before calling the front desk to ask where we were supposed to park (on street parking charged by the hour) and we were told to park in the handicap parking spot even though we told him we were not handicap He said he didn’t validate parking outside the hotel lot so just park in the handicap spot The location was good, but even the staff was horrible and rude! We’re NEVER, EVER staying there again!

I stayed at the Clarion Hotel, Toms River for three nights while I was in the area visiting family The common areas and my room were very clean and well maintained There is an outdoor pool (not heated) which was nice and the outdoor furniture around the pool seemed fairly new

A hot buffet breakfast was available but not included in the rate Good breakfast! There is a nice bar that serves surprisingly good food I had a Caesar salad with grilled salmon that was exceptionally good There was entertainment (music) at the bar on the Saturday I was there Seems to attract a local crowd If you are there to sleep and are not into loud thumping bass be sure to ask for a room far, far way My room was pretty far way but it was still a bit annoying The NJ shore area is stupid expensive for hotels (one would think it was close to the beach for the price) but I would stay here again

Room was super small 2 beds that didn’t look like the sheets were changed very often Heard there were bed bugs here as well

Outdoor pool was pretty nice, but the chairs and tables around it were very poorly maintained as was the exterior siding of the building Room was very bland, boring, and the smallest TV i’ve ever seen Only nice thing was the bathroom, thank god Restaurant was dark during their open hours, and bartender was a very weird man It’s Gross A Dump Wouldn’t stay here again
