Everything was perfectly fine Nothing really to say Although, the pillows were not too soft!!!! I hate too soft pillows

Oh!!!! and the AC unit was not too loud It didn’t run all night long like most hotels It only woke me up a few times AND, the shower water pressure was very nice! I hate having to spit in the air just to get a shower Not at your place!!! The water pressure was very nice! Damnit, now that I think about it, your place was fabulously fine! Pass it on!!!

My fiancé had booked a room online to check-in on 7/22 and to check out 07/24, and paid in cash for 2 two nights We had received a call after one night of stay with a voicemail that we booked for one night and had been checked out and needed to get our things out of the room We called back and kept getting told we booked for night and were asked to show proof of invoice

As we left the family function we came in town for, we realized we had been charged again for that one night when we had already been charged for the 2 nights in April It was the most unbelievable and frustrating experience to be locked out of our room Have to leave in the middle of a family event Have to take a stand that we were not leaving as we had paid Then get double charged and have to show proof of our receipt that should already be available in the system We were also told to email proof to the Joe the Assistant General manager Whom we expected a call apologizing for how things were initially handled after been told a couple of times the hotel was full and we had to check out We were rebooked and the additional fee removed Which we were glad off not sure about any future stays at the Hampton I have a 2 because the staff were nice This kitchen staff very helpful and our first check in and correct check out day was pleasant

Recently stayed for 3 days/2 nights for a family trip Absolutely loved our stay Very kid friendly

Some of the reviews listed stated there were no mini fridges/microwaves in the room so we were a little worried, but when we got to our room we did have a mini fridge and microwave The complimentary breakfast every morning was great and had a lot of different options, my picky 3 year old loved it Customer service from check in to check out was great, everyone was very friendly Being in the middle of downtown it was so close to everything we just walked pretty much everywhere aside from the zoo/aquarium Most of the restaurants were a quick 5-10min walk Downtown can be noisy at night but that’s no fault of the hotel The only “complaint” I would have is the price for the valet, $37 Thankfully you do not have to use that service if you don’t want to Aside from that our stay was great and would definitely come back again

Bonnie Robinson

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay! The suite was very spacious The location was perfect as we could walk to restaurants and entertainment It was a ten minute walk to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The breakfast was delicious and included produce, blueberry or vanilla waffles, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, pastries, etc We were even gifted giant cookies at check-in They offer vaket parking at nearly $40/night but we parked at a lot across the street for $10/day Our only complaint was the couch bed needed to be upgraded as you could feel each metal spring

ANDREW Muir

Great location About a 7 minute walk down 9th to the Rock n Roll Hall which is right beside the Brown’s First Energy Centre I personally continued walking right over to the Flats!!If you can get a corner “20” room there is a great view down to the Lake (Pics attached)

Rooms are older but very comfortable The print marketing throughout the property is whimsical and will put a smile on tour face!!Great coffee and a nice little breakfast buffet to start the morning Car Valet Only; however, you have full in/out privileges 👍Many thanks to Amy, Lewis, and Paul for the great hospitality!! Hope to see you again soon 🍻

Clean, comfortable, modern My husband and I enjoyed a private room with private bath during a night away with friends We were just a few steps away from great restaurants and bars

I checked the online ratings and saw a lot of good reviews So, I booked a room at Cleveland Hostels for my family which was a nightmare Maybe we expected too much after the good reviews but I would not recommend this place to anyone

There was no clear instruction on how to check in and out They didn’t have receptionist and the hostel didn’t have elevator and we had to carry our heavy bags upstairs The bathroom was dirty and the blankets were dragging on the floor which I didn’t find safe with the pandemic going around It wasn’t worth the amount they charge I am writing this thinking they might give better service for the future guests There are so many other good hotels around the same area Hopefully some people find my reviews helpful as well

Jen Bushnell

We had a wonderful stay at the Cleveland Hostel and Guesthouse We enjoyed socializing in the shared kitchen and common area We stayed in a private room with an en suite bath and it was very clean and comfortable! We did not get a chance to check out the rooftop patio so we will be sure to book another stay to fully take advantage of it and the beautiful view!

Rooms and hotel were clean Location is great and close to a lot of things This hotel is older but not really restored

The staff are nice especially the lady who ran the happy hour and breakfast bar I thought the breakfast bar had a lot of choices and the 2 free drinks the night before was a big plusWhat could they have done better?Shower was a slow drain and I hate standing in water while I’m showering No luggage rack and only like 4 electrical outlets in the room (It was 4 of us) No USB ports The elevators are super small, like they might not even be ADA complainant, small Shower gel dispenser was empty Glad I brought my own Tried to call ahead to the valet to get my car but was told they were too busy so I needed to just come down and waitWe would probably stay again due to the great location

Em Perry

This hotel is gorgeous, in a great location, and the rooms are big I’m only giving four stars because the service wasn’t ideal We had to call to ask for hand soap since there wasn’t any in our room, luckily that came quickly

However, we called to ask for a towel and that never came Lastly, the breakfast wasn’t greatI will say, the water pressure in the showers was better than any hotel I have ever been to I’ll definitely be back if ever in Cleveland again

Zoe Heinemann

A wonderful old style hotel Very pretty and very large rooms, just beautiful The staff was always friendly and attentive

I would particularly like to highlight the lady at the front desk Unfortunately I didn’t catch her name, but it was the lady who was at the reception on 6/20 and 6/21 in the morning and at noon A role model for everyone who works in tourism!! Smiling, warm friendly, a very pleasant personality! This is how you would like to be welcomed and said goodbye in a hotel! The location of the hotel is excellent We will definitely visit this hotel again

One of the smallest bathrooms I’ve ever seen in a hotel The room is so small they put the coffee maker in the bathroom! The room looked old and the beds were not soft It other than that, though the window was partially open when we arrived

I didn’t know they could even have windows that open anymore? I haven’t seen that in years! Parking ramp to the downstairs area was super steep and curvy! Our van barely made it back up even on a dry day and no snow! I was glad there was a lobby area with a television so I could watch tv after my wife and kids had gone to sleep already No pool, which was a bit of a bummer The breakfast was your typical breakfast food My kids and I were happy we could make waffles!

Melissa Rosen

I can’t for the life of me understand why there are good ratings of this place It looks nothing like the photos online My coworkers and I were forced to stay here during a work trip and we were all horrified

It feels dirty and has a faint stale smell, the kind you get from a hotel that hasn’t changed its carpets since the 80s Every time I dropped an item on the floor, I cringed The curtain in my room wouldn’t open properly, so the room was super dark (probably to help hide some of the stains on the floor and walls) Turning on a light made no difference There’s not even a safe in the room, which I thought was bare minimum for most hotels I think the heater/ac used to be white, but is now a faint yellow color and is completely useless and switches on and off every minute, making sleeping harder than it already was with the constant temperature dropsThe only positive thing I can say is that the bed and sheets seemed new and were pretty comfortable But it was not enough to help feel relaxed and comfortable in such a bleak, grungy room

Kayla Locke

Staff was very friendly but rooms are dated Blankets, pillows and curtains had stains and my sheet had hair all over it If the curtains weren’t open when lights were on it feels like a dungeon

The coffee maker is in the bathroom 😬 The tub wasn’t draining while I was showering so the bathtub was filling up, it would drain after To get to the parking in the basement it is a very narrow drive, they have parking across the street but there was an event so we had to park in the basement Hotel is close to everything and in a good location

I have stayed here twice, the staff is top notch, the rooms are very clean, and the walk in showers are great This trip I enjoyed a corner king suite, and I was living like a rock star The location is perfect for professional sports, pub crawling, our going to the casino

It’s just off the lake, at the river, and there is also a beautiful national park a short drive away I hope to return to enjoy the area some more

Cincinnati Julz

I enjoyed my stay here Nice rooms offering ample space & large bathroom Stay was friendly and accommodating

Best part was I could bring my furry dogs I will stay here again I think the only negative were linens were lacking i found a few holes in towels and sheets They also did not smell really clean but I find that at most hotels The smell of fresh linens is wonderful but these smelled like they have been sitting in a closet for months after being cleaned I think their laundry service company could do better 😉

Alexis Hill

Our best Cleveland hotel experience thus far! Great location (within walking distance to the casino and tons of restaurants and bars), fun, boutique-style decor in lobby and rooms, and very clean Everything seems fresh and modern Complimentary wine hour was also a nice bonus!Valet parking is fairly pricey at $40 a night, but there’s a parking garage right around the corner that we used for $14 a night

We stayed here for two nights and I have to say that it was very nice especially given the price pointWe had a mini fridge and a microwave in our room which made it so much easier and the buffet breakfast was pretty goodWhenever we came in or called down then there was always someone at the front desk and they were always very helpful and nice

We have stayed at places with what we’re considered better names that didn’t even come close to the amenities and the knowledge and caring of the staff hereIf we need another stay in this town then this is definitely where we are going again!

Christine

Absolute garbage hotel and management My sister stayed there and she needed to use my credit card They would not allow her to stay there without me filling out an authorization form

I filled out the authorization form and clearly stated and signed that she was only allowed to use it for 2 nights Any additional nights they needed further approval They let her stay for 2 weeks I called probably 20 times to talk to management and they said they needed to “look into it” and they would “get back to me” yet refused to do so Or the general manager was conveniently unavailable Gave her two phone numbers and even my email What exactly was the point of you having that form if none of your employees look at it There was nothing to look into unless your general manager also can’t read Completely incompetent and is a pretty big mess up and a lot of money for them to care so little You’re better off sleeping outside

Brook Lujan

Great breakfast They just started back up w/full buffet breakfast after pandemic Have eggs, sausage, waffles, breads, yogurt, cereal, juices, & much more

Curb appeal looks a bit spooky but rooms were nice & great choice of pillows Our room had microwave & fridhe for around $95 w/AARP discount Also, very good Bob Evans restaurant right next door, & Costco only a few minutes away to get gas, etc

The area was very nice and quiet and secluded Upon entering the Glidden House, we were mesmerized by the decor and furnishings We were welcomed warmly

Our New Years Eve was amazing thanks to Tony the bartender and the rest of the great staff Lots of attractions and restaurants nearby so our trip made great memories The rooms in this hotel are beautifully kept up and inviting Definitely would return for another couple nights!

Tony Loret de Mola

Had the pleasure of staying at this gem while visiting Cleveland It was a wonderful experience Rooms were comfortable

The staff was great Breakfast the next day was terrific and the person that cooked the breakfast was also the overall director She was delightful! It was just her third week at Glidden She’s a wonderful example of someone who takes pride in what they do and in meeting the needs of her customers

Bas Debbink

Wanted to go to the Rock and Hall Hall of Fame on the way back from Detroit (by car) and decided on the Glidden House to spend the night I am glad I did as it’s a wonderful place in the middle of the University Campus with lots of food choices within walking distance and only a 10 minute drive to the R&RHoF The rooms were very comfy, if a bit noisy due to the creaking floors (upstairs neighbors), but the suite was very roomy and the microwave and fridge were very welcome

Breakfast was fairly standard but tasty All the staff were very pleasant and helpful This seems to be a popular place for conferences and weddings also, and for good reason
