I just had to leave because of having surgery but I have to say this is the best place I’ve li4in since returning to Los Angeles 15 years ago The rooms are fully furnished and comfortablethey are the best studio type of apartments i have seen in LA

The rent is better than places not half as nice The weekly maid service is a bonus you won’t find anywhere else They laundry is cheaper than anywhere I’ve previously live The management i is outstanding in their treatment of tenants I’ve never felt more comfortable anyplace else I’ve lived It’s convenient to the freeway and between two great shopping areas as well as the library, senior center and other places to explore I’m hoping they will have a room for me after I recover from my surgery I can not give a higher recommendation for them than that I would rather live there than anyplace else in Los Angeles

Very bad experience, the location was ok but terrible service and disgusting room , sheets duty , no iron on the room , the blow dryer burn in my hands , I left my phone charger in the room and I call the office to they send it to me and the guy very disrespectful, he doesn’t want shipping to me and hang up the phone , so I don’t recommend this hotel if you don’t want a bad experience find another much better option, trust me I will never back to “epic hotel” 👎🏻

My mum and I just stayed here for 2 nights The hotel staff are very friendly, the rooms are very clean, we had 2 double beds in our room on a little platform, very spacious, very comfy and clean The safe worked too, and theres a mini bar in the room with a fridge

Room service was great (we never usually use it, but thought we would take advantage of it this time, I ordered the buttermilk pancakes, they were definitely worth the money, very tasty!)The rooftop bar was so cool, a very relaxed environment Didnt get a chance to use the pool though although it looked nice

I ended up checking in to The Standard SUPER late I had originally booked a large room but was pleasantly surprised to be told that I was upgraded to a ‘Gigantic’ for free! I was told that there are, “definitely some perks to checking-in a bit late sometimes!” My companion and I went to go check out our room, which was pretty cool There isn’t a door to the bathroom, but rather this VERY see-through curtain, nonetheless the room was nice and provided amenities were sleek and well presented

We then had Dinner at the hotel restaurant which was VERY dimly lit, but the service and food were pretty good After eating, we proceeded to go and check out the infamous rooftop which was actually super cool! Nice view of the LA city and a very good ambience with the design choices, versatility, and drinks! The biggest pain-point in my opinion was parking The hotel valet charged $40/night and there is a only one valet at a time in my experience, so in both cases I needed my car it took a little longer than I would have preferred Otherwise a good stay overall, would recommend!

Fairly nice room, the check-in process is awful and I can tell it’s not just a one off given the other reviews Had our reservation cancelled and forced to re book another room Not very helpful staff

There is also no privacy between the bathroom and the rest of the room, a giant glass panel stands between the shower and the other space, exposing the user fully Not what is expected of a hotel at all!Rest of the hotel is lovely, very nice rooftop pool bar and the rooms are nice bar the bathroom area

Kind of torn on how to rate this placePros:-Location is good-Parking is good

-Front desk gentleman was very nice and respectful-Rooms were clean and can tell they were recently updatedCons:-Beds are firm Very firm Me and my brother both noticed this They’re clean and seem to be new, but yeah firm-if your in the first floor, you can hear people walking in there room Nothing crazy but noticeableVery nice place for the price though

I wanted a budget motel that didn’t have the scuzzy characters that you would find at a Motel 6, nor did I want a place that catered to people with pets, so Value Inn fits the bill It is nicely maintained on exterior, with lovely rose gardens lining the parking lot The rooms are clean, but not spotless

The TV worked well and the towels were not scratchy There was a little refrigerator in the room where we were able to preserve our take ot food and drinks There is a liquor store right next door( how convenient!) If they had coffee in the motel or the rooms it would have been a plus, but Solid Coffee Roasters, on Bellflower Blvd nearby, has excellent coffee For a good bagel or croissant, go the the iconic Bellflower Bagels, which sports the California Deco giant concrete doughnut on it’s roof There are tons of Mexican, Asian and Mediterranean restaurants in the Greater Long Beach and bars galore, so food and entertainment is plentifulThe motel staff is helpful and pleasant I would stay there again, no problem

Room on 1009 has the best view of the nice buildings and city life Stayed for two nights and its perfect Room was very clean and spacious

Having a corner room and large windows in 3 corners means lovely views of LA downtown The bed and sheets are comfortable Two sinks and spacious restroom was gracious Very nice experience: customer service, room, location (surrounded by great restaurants and whole foods walking distance is a plus), and the Roof top views and the bar really top it all like cherry on top! Wow, thanks for the wonderful experience, highly recommended!

Great central downtown location across the street from Whole Foods and close proximity to then LA Live I stayed in the single room and overall enjoyed the experience The hotel has a unique hipster vibe

One downside was the city noise due to the location so it’s definitely not a tranquil experience But other than that I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re in the area

I travelled from the uk with two friends for super-bowl weekend and stayed at the freehand for 3 nights before moving on! and what a weekend it was , location is superb with the hotels aesthetic and rooftop bar definitely exceeding an already exciting expectation This gem is a little slice of LA as you imagine! Probably the best rooftop bar in LA! Rooms were very nice clean and comfortable and the vibe was awesome! Will definitely be returning in the future! Thanks so much for making my first time in LA great!
