This place was good for a one night stay People are friendly, location was good, a little noisy with traffic and trains nearby, there’s a good bagel place on the corner There’s an Acme within 5-10 minutes for groceries

It was hard to get in touch with anyone at the front desk When we needed anything we had to go down to get it, which isn’t too big of a deal because of COVID protocolsThe rooms were clean, you could tell this place has a history to it with how the rooms and buildings are shaped The pool was a hit with the kids, wish it was open a little later The hallways kind of smelled weird The shower was a little weird because one shower head was sticking a little too far out of the ceiling and the other shower head wouldn’t stay put in its holder so we had to hang it onto a handleParking became a little difficult because they had a church in session on site and another conference going on

Erdal Duman

Hi I booked this hotel for my kids to enjoy the pool I have 2 boys

They were ready with their swimming suits thinking that they will enjoy with their parents However, it was a disappointment when we learned from the front desk that the city didn’t approve the pool’s opening This is not our fault and definitely not our kids They deserve the best I contacted the third party where I booked the hotel through that they wanted to talk to the manager about canceling The manager wasn’t here and the front desk associate informed that they will be back on Monday as I asked the third party to cancel but they said they have to talk to the manger

Stayed for three nights, check in staff were amazing! And that’s where it ends!!! Room was dirty toe nail clippings on floor the Housekeeping well I can’t tell you about them! They never came after asking Multiple times for towels and trash removal to no avail finally the night clerk set up the security guard with towels and coffee I sat garbage outside room unfortunately! (YUCKY I KNOW) the breakfast was good! However the breakfast staff rude and unresponsive about anything? It’s not on my list to stay again unfortunately! And I am definitely letting my company know! On the good side two amazing restaurants near by an AMAZING ITALIAN/DELI ACROSS STREET and of course the Mexican restaurant across the street ! Other than that a total flop shame tho !

We came here for in April/2022 for our granddaughter 7th Birthday The staff was awesome The place was very clean, well maintained

Room were nice even the other guests were great 👍 We only spent one day at the pool For my granddaughter and a friend of hers We love staying here at the Holiday Inn If we’re not staying at a 5 star resort this is the next best place for us Holiday inn makes us feel comfortable staying here Always polite and will to help if we ever had a problem with anything We came here for the New mall, Nickelodeon studio A kids must do place for fun

Chris H

Rooms were very clean with a somewhat modern décor Water was not very hot in showers but they were large and comfortable Continental breakfast was available on all mornings of my stay but I would recommend getting to it early and not to wait

A downfall was that families with younger children were staying in rooms next to and above me which made for hearing of a lot of noise from the children playing, nothing to the fault of the hotel Staff was pleasant and made for the stay to be comforting Access to the hotel is difficult coming from Highway 17 due to limited places to turn

After driving all day, we were tired and this motel was convenient off of I-95 Felix, at the front desk was so nice and friendly He is the picture of customer service

We had drinks and a meal at the bar The waiter was great and had our drinks and meal within a few minutes Yes, the meal and drinks were expensive, but I expect NYC to be more expensive than home The convenience of not having to leave the motel for a meal was worth it The room was clean and comfortable

April 6, 2022 Checking in again and this hotel is still excellent service from the manager to the front desk and service and to the maintenance mechanic They all go out of their way to accommodate

The rooms are great, quiet and very clean The atmosphere makes you feel at home, great view of river and the American Dream, and places to eat A must stay

Shannon Willis

I have ear plugs in and can still hear traffic revving by It is very loud here all hours of the day and night There are nights I can’t sleep without ear plugs

Very very thin walls as I can hear the person in the room next to mine on the phone at times The sound of kids crying fills the halls and can be heard through the wall Sticky floors in kitchen, elevator and stairwell Wouldn’t stay again!

Prime location – access to so many different shops and entertainment Nice rooms and affordable I enjoyed staying at this hotel but the biggest feature for me was the pool area

It is large and the seating area was very accommodating BUT the pool has not been open since the covid shut down So please be AWARE IF YOU ARE STAYING FOR THE POOL, IT HAS NOT BEEN OPEN! I have not stayed here because since then So my rating may be outdated at this point But I’ve always called for various occasions to book and see if the pool was available and it was never available So for those looking to book because it has a pool, you might as well skip past this hotel

Another stellar outpost from an outstanding NYC mini-chain serving upscale seafood fareEverything is delicious The lobster Mac n cheese came with SO much meaty lobster pieces

The salmon was impeccable and juicy My friend had the chicken and raved about it too The ceviche was also delicious! And complimentary chocolate pudding desserts! This will be a hot date spot in West Chelsea for the foreseeable future, and with good reason!

Hugh Price

We went for the happy hour It was incredibly tasty, the service was very friendly and efficient and the it had a great ambience I was particularly impressed with the happy hour oysters which were the east coast ones

The oysters were exactly as described them and I found them surprisingly meaty Also the tomato salsa that comes with the calamari with a perfect addition to the meal

First impression is a good one Clean, bit of an odd layout for a hotel , but very friendly staff We booked on line very easily

We stayed two nights Had breakfast one morning There’s a buffet on Sunday morning for $16 a person However we decided to order fresh off the breakfast menu & were very pleased They did a great job with my special order of an egg white mushroom & cheese omelette cooked well Delicious!Only two disappointments: one was the pool being in disrepair That was one of the reasons we booked there I hope it’s repaired soonThe other was my husband had called the front desk with a question and no one answered the phoneBottom line, I really did like the modern interior design It’s a less expensive, good , clean , quiet place to sleep if you’re traveling in the area or going in and out of NYC

S Prosper

I liked it there Very easy to find off the highway The receptionist was efficient and helpful

I got to my room and it was clean and what I expected I didn’t hear any noise while sleeping, everything worked Even the cleaning staff was helpful I overall enjoyed my stay there I even asked for the receptionist to print my covid test for me and she was happy to help Will be back

Abigail Prichett

I had mixed feelings about this hotel There were strange sticky spots on the floor (I do not want to ponder what they could have been) The room was nice, newly renovated

You could tell they definitely cut corners and some things were barely hanging onto the walls The location wasn’t great, I mean it’s conveniently located off route 17 but I didn’t really feel safe going to and from my car At one point during our stay, there were a bunch of cop cars pulled up in front of the building Everything just felt a little sketchy But definitely not the worst hotel I’ve stayed in

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel They compare thousands of booking web sites and typically will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in the area

I’ve been staying here for years If you choose this place you definitely will love it I’m sure! This was a super comfortable space We had our own locker in our room without extra cost (bring a padlock), the food and coffee it’s good, nice and bilingual service (Spanish and English) It’s a safe space to stay just a few blocks from Central Park It’s not cheap but for the location and clean rooms and bathrooms it’s worth it

Sam Frost

Pros:Clean rooms and bathroomNice little cafe downstairs with plenty of tables to sit atFriendly staffCons:There are a Lot of younger people

And when I say young, I mean 16-18 year olds and even younger than that They were extremely loud on the evening, quite distracting when I just wanted to chill I feel like the hostel should have an 18+ age restrictionAlso the cafe closes really early too I’d often get back around 2pm and it was already shut for the day so it’s only available in the morning time which is a bit inconvenientOverall, a pleasant stay I travelled on my own and met a couple of other friendly solo travelers, however most people stick to themselves so if you are relying on meeting others then I’d recommend somewhere else Friendly and helpful staff Also it’s a great location too! A short subway ride to times square/Broadway and a short walk to Central Park which was perfect

Katie Brooks-Halling

Superb hostel! I’m travelling the US alone and NYC was my first stop The room was super clean, as were the showers, the staff super friendly, and it is less than a one minute walk to the subway which takes you straight downtown where all the most common attractions are (line 1) Met the most amazing people and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook!! Very decent pricing for NYC too! I understand why all the reviews rave about it

Highly Highly recommend

I have stayed in many air b&b, but Kevin’s place was amazing, better than the picture! In prime location, the space was modern and spacious I arrived a day later than expected and he was willing to accommodate by changing the dates I enjoyed staying here, wish I would’ve stay longer

The bed was comfortable and the shower is was everything plus more , Especially a long day of traveling I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting union city

Alisa thomsen

Do not let the exterior fool you This place is as pictured It was very clean, queen-sized bed which is very comfortable and a nice couch as well

The bathroom and room were very sanitized and not too far from the city Kevin was easy to get ahold of, entering the building was a breeze and so was him providing a parking pass Definition a great stay for a quick trip

ZeeQ stuido’s

The building’s interior definitely did not match the room itself It was clean, well kept, and had a nice sized bathroom The area can get a bit noisy every now and then but nothing horrible

I truly appreciated that the bus stop for NYC was a 5 minute walk away Very easy access Parking can be hard to find depending on when you arrive, either way Kevin has visitor passes available if you’re bringing your car Overall, I just needed a place to sleep, with parking, and had easy access to NYC This place met all my needs and Kevin was very prompt with his responses to my questions and/or concerns
