I’m giving it two stars because the pool area was nice, but that’s where the nice ends The room was not clean Floors were filthy

I found public hair on the toilet paper holder and bright red hair in the bathtub (no one in our group has that color hair) The pullout couch was nasty dirty I didn’t want my kids sitting on it Sorry Sands You guys need to up your game a little here For the price, it was no where near worth it Would never go back to this place Can not recommend Thank goodness we were only there one night If it were longer, I would have walked out and found another hotel

Kasper Warming

Booked two nights here and came late on arrival day, and all people we saw there where elder really drunk people and next morning we woke up to a bathroom filled with bugs and a balcony that for sure was not cleanedSo this morning we packed up all our stuff in a hurry and left to find a better place for my family, didn’t even care about that we have pay for two nights, just had to get outLocation is great but that is the most positive I can say about this place, shown on hotels

com as an hotel but is a motelSure it has been really great in 74 when built, but it needs a lot of work done to it, just to be a three star motel, have seen two star places in better conditions

Becky More

This is a hidden gem!! Definitely a older hotel but the charm and atmosphere takes you back in time when life was much more simple and relaxed

We will definitely stay here when we travel back to Treasure Island!!! Thanks again we loved it!!!

The staff was phenomenal! From front desk to the housekeepers to valet… they most definitely kept me coming back! The bar and the food was excellent as wellThat being said, I understand it is an older boutique hotel but if you are sensitive to sounds, this will be a bother You can hear everything above you and outside your door very easily, even as simply as someone moving around above you walking or people walking past your room

Not a lot sound of sound proofing and kept me up, it almost felt like apartment style livingHotel staff is very great but structurally, needs improvements & kept me up at night

Em Di Santo

The building is older, the elevator is slow and the rooms aren’t perfect but it’s heritage architecture, and I liked my time at The Exchange a lot, enjoying two different stays so far ~ including New Years The staff are a huge plus (front desk staff are awesome, including Latorra) and the location is great if you’re into downtown nightlife or a walk by the water I stayed with my dog Leroy and there was no stress, with lots for him and I to do nearby

The small menu has a vegan option for me (Hummus Sandwich, very good), Leroy went crazy for the baked (not fried) chicken wings and Jordan makes a mean drink at the stylish bar There’s some work to do, sure, but I’m super happy I found The Exchange; it’s reasonably priced, clean and fun, fun fun

T

My family and I had a fantastic time staying here The architecture was beautiful and the location was perfect—within walking distance to all of our events, near a lot of great restaurants, and close to the shore The staff was extremely accommodating and professional, helping us out whenever we asked, always kind and courteous

Valet was friendly, helpful, and funny I didn’t catch the name, but the two guys who rotated while we were there were wonderful

The manager was out due to illness and his friend was taking care of this property as well as 2 others She was VERY nice and helpful The room was spotless and very comfortable

Best part of our stay was meeting others staying there Quick walk to a quieter part of the beach I highly recommend staying here It’s my understanding the regular manager is normally there 24/7 Hopefully we’ll meet him our next stay there as we will be back!

Jessica Kirschner

Super friendly staff! Hotel was close to shopping, dining, and beach access Robert was knowledgeable about the area, offering several dining options as well as entertainment Check In/Check out were easy and communication with him made after hours check in a breeze

Rooms are smaller (if you’re doing a bigger family vacation) but would be absolutely perfect for a couples get away Living room area has a futon that my two oldest kids slept on while my youngest and I slept in the bedroom Decor is cute and the amenities were greatOverall our stay was absolutely perfect and will definitely be one we come back to again!

Rachel Ross

Best vacation I’ve had as a mother so far! My husband and I took our 8 and 4 year old here for a week The hotel was great had any and all things you would need for an extended stay and was literally less than 30 second walk from the beach I had no issues with noise and I loved that the back of the hotel had its own spray and shower station it made it so convenient! I could rave all day about the service

They have a really awesome gentlemen running the front desk (every day) He is friendly and funny and very willing to give you advice about local things to do and also interested in how things went for you He interacted with the kids and gave us anything we needed to make our time there most enjoyable! I would for sure go again! Oh and might I add the price was fantastic!

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for Memorial Day weekend…it was such a little gem that exceeded our expectations!! The place was clean and beautiful, but what made the experience even better was the great staff We mostly dealt with Tina who is AMAZING!!! She went above and beyond to accommodate us and the rest of the guestsWe brought our own stuff for the beach, but then realized that everything we needed was provided; towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and sunscreen!Thank you again for a wonderful experience, this will definitely be our go to spot at Pass-a-grille 😊

It’s the most intimate, clean, unique INN I’ve been too The staff are top- notch, friendly, quick to address your needs, outgoing and just make you feel so welcome! They have everything you need at your finger tips Beach chairs, beach umbrellas, coolers, a lovely sitting area outside, a delicious continental bfast on the weekends that includes muffins, oatmeal, fruit, immunity shots , granola bars etc

they have free bikes you can ride A great location just steps from the beautiful pass a grille beach- with blue water and white powder sand! The rooms are so cute and clean and lovely! Superb penthouse suite My husband went mad as a real treat for me Gorgeous room etc

However no coffee machine at our location You had to cross the road about 100 yards to get a free breakfast coffee There are enough rooms at our site to warrant this small service I found this bewildering We did use their happy hour for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the chat and the free wine The white beach beyond this hotel is exquisite Is it Bella Vista Beach ? Unsure Our location was at the Bay and our view was beautiful and quiet FOUR AND A HALF STARS IF POSSIBLE 😂

Aniel Jorgen

I usually have no issues with IHG hotels but this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had Luckily we were only there one night Dirty dirty rooms!Upon check-in, the first room we were sent to smelled like someone had just been smoking in there

The cigarettes smell was very strong and I thought they accidentally sent us to a smoking room I called the front desk and the response when I said it smelled like someone had been smoking in there was “I’m not sure maybe it’s haunted” What a unprofessional and awkward thing to say We asked to switch roomsThe second room we were given smelled even worse Immediately upon walking in it smelled like bleach and chlorine There was also a small mold air purifying machine in there with words that literally said “warning, do not use when space is occupied” We told the desk again and the clerk said “oh yeah I forgot, I can just take out the machine” We said absolutely not We’re not staying in a room that has mold and reeks of bleach when we have 2 toddlers with usThe last room we were given smelled fine But all the rooms were dirty, especially in the bathrooms The showers had a film of dirt or sand on the bottom We all ended up wearing flip flops in there because we didn’t want to put our bear feet on the groundOverall I would sleep in my car before paying to stay at this hotel again

Joe Bullen

Danny at the front desk provided outstanding customer service I booked a room with a king-sized bed online However, the hotel had no more rooms with a king-sized bed, so he upgraded me to a suite at no extra charge

There was a burned out light in the room The room had a slight moldy smell that set me sneezing after showering Walls are thin so bass and conversation from other rooms does carry into your room Deducting a point for this factAlso, beds here are not nearly as comfortable as other Holiday Inn Express hotels Might go back to Doubletree again I just think this hotel might need updating Bathrooms were clean though

Greg S

This is such a great hotel and Danny at the front desk was so very helpful All the staff has be very nice and courteous This place is so clean and the up lighting in the rooms is amazing

The location is great for vacation you can be to the north or south end of the county in 20 minutes It’s also only about 20 minutes to Tampa or 45 minutes to Bradenton Thier breakfast is great also

Really enjoyed my stay Off season and discounted as they are doing some remodeling of the restaurant I wasn’t expecting much What I got was exactly the opposite

The manager put forth every effort to make our stay enjoyable The rooms were clean and spacious in a 118 year old building way I’m not sure what people complaining about room size were expecting It’s in the heart of a very nice shopping and entertainment district with everything I needed in short walking distance Breakfast was delicious with a quiet porch to eat it outside Can’t recommend this place highly enough

Patrick Turnbull

After arriving and going to the room I quickly realized that the hotel is nothing like they list it as I literally could not breathe as the smell of mold was apparent, as a result I cancelled my stay and although management wasn’t pleased they refunded me the entire cost, I appreciated that I think with some remodeling it would be a great place to stay

Sherrie Byrd

Had mahi mahi, Brussels and fried green tomatoes Small portions-$1200 for 3 slices

Mahi was good, rice pilaf was excellent Music was great!! Overpriced for the portion size A little strange to go through the servers station to use the restroom Messy area! The place could use some maintenance/ TLC for sure Not sure how the ADA would feel about the tiny restroom- ladies If you go be prepared to pay , eat a filler before you go

Right from the start, you can tell that they are customer focused! That means a lot these days There’s an old world charm to this place that you don’t get in the corporate hotels The hardwood floors and the vintage decor/large nostalgic murals & canvas prints Bring you back in time

They give out free water bottles to start, then anytime you want them The pub/taproom best foods in Saint Pete, and we tried a lot! It’s an excellent place to stay if you want to walk to some of the best little restaurants or down to the pier The bathroom in our king room was definitely smaller than I would hope for since we stayed for five nights And the view of the parking lot wasn’t that great Wish we could’ve had a balcony room, but those booked too fast The other positives made up for any negatives The outdoor pool, bar & staff were the best! Although it was only in the 70s most of our stay, we always took advantage of the sun, lounge chairs, cabanas, drinks/food and the music at the pool! Very cozy feel even though you’re downtown:) Will definitely be back!!

thomas patterson

Stayed here with the family a few nights Great place in downtown Very close and walkable to the pier, and many other things

The pool was nice I would have liked to take a water bottle to the pool deck for me and my daughter but I guess that isn’t allowed, which i suppose i understand I wouldn’t want bunch of rowdy folks sneaking liquor in either The room was nice and the staff was very helpful

Sandy Foster

I love this place! All of the staff – from front desk, housekeeping, wait staff, bartenders, maintenance

were exceptionally helpful and kind This is a historic hotel, so yes, the rooms are a bit small and dated, but that’s part of the experience If you don’t want that experience, go to the Marriott The hotel is clean and well maintained The pool area is a gem in the middle of the city Hotel is easy walking distance to cafes, museums, waterfront, etc The food and service in the restaurant were great Outside dining in long, covered porch is lovely, albeit, somewhat noisy with street traffic, but again, it’s in the middle of the city

Loved this place Staff was great The rooms were nice

I think due to staff shortage we didn’t get any service to our room, but we grabbed some extra towels as that was all we needed Close to the beach ⛱ which was right across the street Close to tourist hang outs We were told there is a free taxi service if you ask at the front desk Had a nice free breakfast buffet I would highly recommend this place The prices are very reasonable

Christine lumbasio

A frequent traveler and always stayed at this place! This time went with my 20 month old son and the staff was absolutely amazing!!! Deborah was knowledgeable and accommodating We loved our room cause it was facing the marina and my son LOVES boats The beach is a little walk but SO worth it! If you are traveling with babies make sure you use the stroller to go to the beach, there is a paved path and once you get on the sand very easy to navigate

Also, the bartender at the tiki was very friendly and we stayed here a whole week and had a great time!!! We will be back! Thank you:-)

Emily Tidwell

We had a great time and everyone was friendly But wanted to share a few things that bothered us for place that said it was a resort1

The pool was not kept very clean I understand its tourist season but it should be closed for at least 45 minutes halfway during the day just to clean it At times it was very nasty2 The pool towels were not maintained Hardly ever did they have towels stocked at the pool We tried to enjoy the hot tub but half the jets didn’t work Like they were clogged up by something3 We really liked the Cabana bar but we kept feeling like we’re going to fall into the chairs They were very damaged4 The breakfast was good but if you came 45 mins to an hour before they stop serving then you probably weren’t going to get much There were some days that the breakfast trays weren’t refilled

We are returning guests from a stay in 2021, Dawn and Justen are great hosts, they called us before checking in to give us information about our stay! We stayed with them for 6 nights from Michigan, and we travel with our small dog and they welcome pets so it’s a perfect place for us to stay The pool is amazing and heated with a water fall The location is great with Mastery’s Brewery within walking distance

The rooms are clean and have a cute beach feel to them They pay close attention to keeping the area clean and comfortable We had such a great stay, thank you again We will be back again in 2023 It is such a great place to stay

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I will for this place I can’t say enough of good things about our stay, and the owners of this hotel The room was very clean, great ac, and the bed was comfortable

The owners of this hotel are so friendly and welcoming, and were amazing to my kids giving them ice pops, sea shells and sand dollars, and even offered my 3 year old a life vest so she could enjoy the pool We highly recommend staying here, and will be back ourselves next time we are in town

My son and I stayed here for a few days while he was home from college It was a terrific value, given its excellent location Close to the beach and the best restaurants and entertainment on the island

We stayed here overnight last night for New Years The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating The room was decent for the cost and nicely amenities

King bed was nice and pillows were comfortable The reason for the 3 star review is based on insulation and privacy When we returned at 2am the neighbors were up and talking and the noise flew through the adjoining room door We had to have the TV on to blend it out Everything else was acceptable but that is not conducive to a quiet evening with so little sound barrier

Patti Blake

I have stayed here multiple times The only complaint I have is when I first started staying here the gave you a bag with a breakfast in it like a muffin and piece of fruit and they offered coffee with different types of cream like French vanilla etc Now they only have coffee with plain cream

They do not offer the continental breakfast any more Over all its a great stay The breakfast not a big deal but man did I need my coffee The staff was also very nice

tom aschauer

Spent three nights and four days here Not once did they clean my room, give me fresh linens, take out the trash or change the towels The ice machine on my floor wasn’t working and there is a neighboring house to the back that has a rooster that crows all day long, so try and get a room close to the front of the building

Or just stay at the Quality Inn that’s about a half block north that looks like a much nicer place to stay Although I don’t know how the rates compare But for almost $800 I think I would have expected more
