I stayed here for work from June to December 2021 I must say every single staff member goes out of their way to make your stay pleasant They listen to your concerns and resolve any issue immediately or within reasonable time

Smiles always Greeted warmly daily by either Eileen or Brandy after work Eileen is especially a genuine soul and great to chat with! Rooms clean with services after hours if needed Just all around professionals treating guests with a personal touch Cons: No elevator but only 2 floors so not so terrible and breakfast was all prepackaged items (due to covid) I’m sure that will go back to normal though

Daniel Kendall

If I could give them no stars then I would The first thing I asked the lady at the front desk was if there were any surprises, no breakfast, elevator not working, etc What they don’t tell you at booking is that they have no elevator

The breakfast is a horrible grab and go! They have no eggs, sausage, biscuits, toast, waffles, or fresh fruit The owner should ask himself if this is what he would want for breakfast! I told the young lady at checkout about the problem with the breakfast, and I got no apology She just laughed about it It seems to me that the reviews have been written by their family The first room I was giving smelled of smoke, and all rooms are non smoking They gave me another room, and it was okay The rooms have wood floors I don’t like wood floors in hotel rooms If someone walks heavy above you, it’s horrible It’s also uncomfortable The checkout time is 11am, and I don’t like check outs before 12 noon I am a diamond member, and the lady checking me in did not want to guarantee me the extra hour I won’t be returning

Shannon R

I had a really great experience here!! Hotel was really easy to get in and out of Front desk staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming We arrived late in the evening, which is where my one and only negative complaint comes from – when we arrived and all throughout the night (when we went outside) there were a couple of men sitting out by the fountain absolutely drunk, being very loud and arrogant

Our room was very spacious, absolutely clean and well kept Bed and pillows were super comfortable, room temperature was great Bathrooms had plenty of linens for all who stayed The pool was very nice looking, though as it was evening it was much too cold to enter The hot tub was fantastic though! We all really enjoyed our stay here! The breakfast was very good, loved the selection of both hot and cold foods and unlimited coffee! Great place to stay near Corpus Christi!

What a wonderful place to stay! Tammy was so kind checking us in, and answering all our questions kindly The Cottage from the outside made me make an assumption the inside was going to be outdated What a wonderful surprise

It looked newly renovated All new furniture from ceiling to floors Very clean, and a very great place to stay for one day or even 6 days plus comfortably A+++

Kimberly Beckham

We stayed in one of the cottages and we loved the retro vibe! Super clean and super comfy The staff was just the best! The house cleaner heard my kiddo playing with the hand soaps and made sure to bring her an extra couple and it just made her day! The location is perfect, not too far from the beach and super close to some of the best places to eat in town!

Kelly Donnell

We stayed two nights in the large cottage (2 BR) It was very comfortable and was an excellent alternative to a hotel room It was quiet, and even though we didn’t use the pool, it looked fantastic

The bathroom is very dated but it was functional! My only complaint is that the bill doesn’t actually explain what they are charging “resort fees” for I feel that there should be one price – a nightly rate – then add the tax – and that’s your total I feel that “resort fees” kind of take advantage of the guest Overall, I’d stay here again

Beds and pillows are very comfortable, the room is spacious, shower has good amount of pressure The location is a bit hidden (behind Embassy suites), but it’s still a good location, lots of restaurants and stores nearby The last time I stayed they had complimentary breakfast, this time I stayed there was no complimentary breakfast, so I don’t think it’s something that is usually included

All in all it’s a nice hotel

Rommel fox

Stay away this hotel is nasty! Checked in the sink wasn’t cleaned and the light in bathroom wasn’t working Tried to call down the phone wasn’t working Went to watch TV and remote wouldn’t change the channel to anything

No microwave in room And the carpets hadn’t been cleaned since it opened there was dirt and stains everywhere The fixtures are rusting nicely This is the worst Marriott I have stayed at

Changhsue Sun (Jeffrey)

The hotel location is good We stayed 2 nights over the weekend for the swim meet at corpus Christi Natatorium The staff are all very friendly

We requested a late check out and the extra bath towels without any issue The room is clean and the bed is comfortable If you come with a breakfast offer then remember to ask the bistro coupon

I stayed here during a last-minute trip with my children to visit Port Aransas and North Padre Island Overall, my stay was great and if I had to I’d stay again It was a bit far from the areas we wanted to visit, but it wasn’t too bad and we made it work

1 The staff here were all very friendly and accommodating I think this was the best thing about the hotel We had to get up early to go to North Padre Island for the turtle release, and the front desk agent opened breakfast for us early before we left No complaints here2 The grounds were clean, as was the lobby3 Traveling to Port Aransas wasn’t that bad, the length of the trip really depended on the wait for the Ferry Getting to the ferry wasn’t that bad of drive, but one of the days we did have a wait to load the ferry It isn’t a big of a deal enough for me to complain4 My only complaint was the room It was clean, the bedding was fine but it did have a very distinct stale/old smell I went and bought Febreeze Spaces fresheners, and while it helped it didn’t completely cover or rid the smell Our things even smelled like the room once we left Other than that, the room was comfortable for us to sleep in, and even with it being on the first floor we heard minimal noise

Me

We literally only picked this hotel because of the big beautiful swimming pool they use as their man advertising picture We get there and check in and they also “charge to the nearest tenth” so your over charged and have to wait 3-5 days to get the over charged amount back Besides that, literally AS SOON AS I paid for our stay, lady at the desk was like “oh ya by the way our pool is closed because it’s dirty”…

We had an 8 year old little girl who was excited to swim in that big pool they advertised If I would have known the pool was closed BEFORE I paid, we would have went somewhere else with a clean available pool I literally typed in “hotels with best swimming pools” so our stay there was basically pointless So if you are wanting to stay here to enjoy the swimming pool, go somewhere else Because you won’t get that here The room was okay! The shower looks cool but the water pressure is horrible and we also saw old boogers wiped on the shower wall along with little curly black hairs in the wash cloths So bring your own linen The pull out sofa my daughter was supposed to sleep in had tons of debris, crumbs, dirt, and unknown junk all on the mattress and under the mattress The sofa had trash like wrappers and junk under it Obviously they don’t do the necessary deep cleaning that should be done for other clean people to enjoy their stay I kept feeling like something was crawling on me while I was in bed but I couldn’t figure out what it was I had a few bites on me when I woke up this morning I wouldn’t go back and I definitely wouldn’t recommend The staff was nice aside from being told the pool was closed AS SOON AS the money was pulled from my card I felt that was done purposely in a sneaky snake kind of way You need to inform people before they check in and pay Not immediately after It’s shady to do it like that

Alex Orozco

This spot was perfectWe loved the service and the roomPool was a little bit dirty but okay

The AC did not work to it’s fullest but it didn’t heat upSome areas where dirty but over all a very good experienceI RECOMMEND STAYING HERE

Overall, I like this hotel The room is comfortable, the breakfast is nice, the location is convenient and most of the staff is friendly You have to take into consideration that this is a touristy area being near the beach, and there’s a lot of guys that stay here for various trade/skill type jobs

It’s also humid and hot All of this causes a lot of wear and tear on any hotel in the area (believe me I’ve tried them all and still came back to this one)However, there are a few things that could totally improve the stay DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE DOORS SLAMMING! IT’S HORRIBLE AT 5AM, 6AM, 1AM I”ve been at hotels where the doors almost don’t close all the way they have things on them that will slow it down and lessens the chance of that happening Definitely try and get a room in the front of the hotel I’m on the backside which is where the afternoon sun is the worse, and people are celebrating a birthday down around the pool area I know this because I can hear every word With my TV and AC on They might as well be in my room or in the hall or right next door I would do anything to be on the front side of the hotel right now, and will be sure to choose my room next time!

Amanda Jimenez

I cant believe I paid $360 (with a group discount) for a 2 night stay at this hotel I definitely didn’t get the Hilton experience I paid for More like a Motel 8

The room had so many broken things that I was surprised anything at all worked The bathroom sliding door was broken and wouldn’t stay closed The fridge didn’t stay cold, the room stayed hot at night and our dead bolt would was loose and would lock us out of the room when no one was inside I ended up leaving and booking next door for the rest of the week

JESSICA MONTALVO

Clean- and I know because I went over all flat surfaces in room and batch room with a Clorox wipe and wipe was always visably clean!Breakfast was GREAT!!! Eating area was also spacious allowing social distancesCheck in was easy! Check out was easy!Smelled clean and welcoming when walking in

I am including the good part as well as any negative part of my experienceThe outside is vibrant and welcomingConveniently located just a few blocks from the beach

A very easy and safe walkThe room I had with 2 queen beds was largeThe stuffed chair was very very dirty as in we wouldn’t use it kind of dirtyThe tile floor was in desperate need of a good moppingMy feet were blackHowever, when I called front desk and spoke to Susan, housekeeping was quick to respond and remedy the dirty floorThe bathroom is super tinyThe bathtub is old and stained, the water pressure in the shower was mediumThe room had a micro wave and a mini fridge both of which were cleanThe hot tub is small but clean and the temperature was perfect making for a very relaxing eveningThey have breakfast items to choose fromI am a person who has zero tolerance for racial prejudiceOne of the housekeeping staff named Lisa, was very prejudiced against her coworkersShe is entitled to her opinion however, she was too comfortable in sharing her views multiple timesShe took the same approach to telling us her personal life difficultiesI am a paying guest on vacation I have no need to know her electric is being shut off or she is facing jail time, or any other personal infoShe has so much negativity oozing from her that it projects a negative energyWe tried to share the thought there is always something to be grateful forShe is not a person open to being encouragedI feel this was our biggest drawback from the whole experienceI would visit again this time I would be more mentally prepared for such negativity from one human being

Brian Payne

If it weren’t for the location, this place would be 1-star Absolutely outrageously priced, hotel staff left dirty and used cleaning carts outside our room the entire time, and the room looks like a shady roadside motel in some nowhere town that’s never been updated This place serves the purpose if you just want a location within walking distance of the beach, about half a mile, but for the price you should get 5-star accommodations and service

This place is a dumpster fire

Ryan Flanakin

Old man is extremely rude and unhelpful Was yelled at for trying to get breakfast 5 past nine He was extremely rude at checkin when there was a minor technological issue with the booking info, the manager saved us

I wouldn’t come back until the old man passes or they provide a better breakfastThe rooms are huge and the pool is great those aspects definitely exceeded our expectations

Nice staff, room very clean Toilet didn’t flush fully Manager told me about a screw you have to adjust to raise the tank water to the appropriate levels

They should’ve already had that properly installed They delivered our breakfast in the mornings Oh, DO NOT TAKE FOOD TO POOL at night Several different kinds of roaches will be in your food within seconds Our $30 pizza was opened just long enough two grab 2 chairs across the pool, came back, had at least 6 big passed roaches on it Other than this, we’d stay here again for $100 bucks less a night Nice room, great staff

Tabitha Bailey

The location was great it was a short ferry trip to port Aransas Beach The service was great too But the room was not the best although the beds were clean the sink bowl was cracked and when you wanted cold water it was a little stream of it and If you wanted hot water it came out a lot faster but that is the only problem we had

Overall a good place to stay on vacation or business

Darrian Bertrand

Hotel room was dirty (something sticky all over the desk and hair all over the shower curtain) and the bathroom ventilation was poor (even with the fan on, within a few minutes of the shower being on the whole bathroom was soaking wet and there was moisture behind the large mirror in the room) This was probably why there was a strong musty smell Breakfast is also only a yogurt or a frozen sandwich, which has to be requested at the front desk

Not terrible for a night or two, but I wouldn’t want to stay there any longer

Keith Lewallen

The heater didn’t work in the hotel The first night i spoke to the the gentleman about it and he confirmed it wasn’t working and he tried two other rooms but they didn’t work either The toilet wouldn’t shut off and the water was running the whole time

We had to use the hair dryer to help heat the room where we could sleep We woke up for the free breakfast but it’s not on, contrary to what is reported on the hotel site You are given a breakfast bag with a muffin, a fruit cup and a granola barTerrible customer service and the manager was never there and wouldn’t return any phone calls They never offered a room that had a heater that worked or any compensation NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Amy Lilly

The lady working the breakfast area was wonderful She kept everything clean, fresh and very tasty with good hot options every morningRoom was great, clean and very comfortable

Our dogs had lots of good clean areas to do what they needed We even used the pool this time and enjoyed it!Only issue we had was getting checked in We got there a couple hours early and was told room wasn’t ready, no biggy since we were early anyway We came back at 3:00 at regular check in time We were surprised to be told it still wasn’t ready Since it was 3:00 we went ahead and unloaded our bags We waiting in the empty lobby (no other guest were there) We finally had to ask around 3:30, when would our room BE ready Apparently the girl at the front desk was more concerned about her conversation with the friend she was visiting with (same friend from early attemp to check in) The manager heard from her office and came out We explained we were exhausted from the long drive and just wanted a room We finally got in a room about 4:00

Angela Casanova

Well we were just really coming to sleep but for the price we paid it deff wasn’t worth coming to our room from a long day at the beach and our bathroom shower had no shower curtain Our room is muggy the thermostat doesn’t work I turned down the AC unit but it’s still not cooling the room The head boards are dirty and the lamps are dirty

The lady at the front was nice Other than that I just don’t think it was worth the money we paid

We rented a two bedroom, one bathroom cabin The floors were dirty upon walking, our socks literally turned brown after walking around for a few minutes The beds are largely uncomfortable, please go somewhere else of someone in your party has chronic pain/illness, they will be suffering

For people of color, warning: there are a lot of confederates here I’ve seen various versions of the confederate flag here and I’m uncomfortable go about at night Stay safe, but don’t let them ruin your fun eitherOther than that, the cabins themselves look cute I suggest renting a go cart ahead of time as they go quickly

Ava Loves

This has become my home away from home It’s very clean & well equipped It’s like renting a little house

My mom & I look forward to it all year We make coffee & breakfast in the morning, sometimes grill out in the evening You can sit outside & have coffee or eat your meal & if you want to swim in a pool instead of the ocean, they have another property that you can do that! The ocean is only a 10 minute walk away though It’s so lovely, the best location & best staff anywhere They have my heart ❤

Crystal E

I love this place! We stayed a while back for my daughters birthday weekend We had three adults and two teens It was just great friendly staff, clean unit, comfortable beds

You can’t beat the location in proximity to the beach and shops, I skated all around the area in the am and it is just the best by far! Told my family about this place many times, I think we are going to do a group trip and use them again We didn’t cool, but we used the fridge it is defiantly a useful asset to have on vacation… especially with kiddos!

This was a great place to stay Cottages are clean and very nicely decorated We had five in our party, and we’re very comfortable

Kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to have fresh seafood in house Great location, walk to all the shops in town, and just 5 blocks to the beach They even have a pool my grandson enjoyed Matthew made checking in a breeze Definitely recommend, and definitely staying again

Eric Hopkins

Honestly, at first sight online, this place looked a little

shady But I gave it a chance because it fit the specifics I was looking for when it was time to reserve a room When my family and I arrived, I was surprised at how cute it actually is We had such a great time there, I just wish we could’ve stayed longer Just a short walk/drive to the beach AND to the strip in the opposite direction What made it better is the fact that “Matthew” made us feel right at home He was extremely friendly, funny, and informative Thank you so much for your kind hospitality! We will definitely stay there again the next time we’re in town

The staff was very pleasant at check in/checkout The side facing the beach had a nice view I enjoyed that the beach, some good restaurants and attractions were at walking distance from hotel

I feel like it could use a little remodeling or updating for the price (lighting, flooring, etc) Carpet gets packed with sand after the beach I would consider staying if some things got fixed,

Scott Dunn

Stayed here 1 night to break up the drive to South Padre, and the location is definitely nice Great to have discounted tickets for the Lexington and the Aquarium available at the front desk, and you can easily walk to both The beach is a 1 min walk, and the views on the bay side are pretty good

Covered parking is nice as well Only losing 1 star for a few reasons It’s called a Resort but it’s really more of your average motel The outside definitely needs a little TLC, but the rooms were revamped well The outlets in our room at least were a little off My wife had a plug on her side of the bed, but I did not, nor is there bedside lamps The last minor complaint is there was no pool Every Hotel/Motel around us had pools, but not the De Ville “Resort” My wife doesn’t go past her ankles in the gulf, so no swimming for us Also a little pricey considering no pool or elevator Other than those minor problems, couldn’t ask for a whole lot more, clean room, friendly staff, a nice shower, and great location

Collins Idoro

Stayed at the De ville for 2 nights (July 2-4, 2022) The Manager and receptionists were hospitable and cool My room was clean and spacious

The bathroom shower pressure is the best I love the fact that I can walk to the beach, the Lexington, and the aquarium without breaking a sweat I’ll definitely be patronizing this property for future stays in Corpus

Great location and pool Nice that breakfast is included, but know it’s average There was a stain on the sheets, room was maybe lightly cleaned before we arrived

Wasn’t sure any of the linens were replaced Bring your own pillow if you stay here They provided two per person, but they’re as flat as a pancake Another thing that was bothersome: The motel says it’s smoke free, but people staying there would be smoking right outside the rooms, so still smelled like smoke We stayed two nights and housekeeping never came into our room to give us new towels/replace toilet paper Upset to spend $400 for two nights and have no turn around service We did go the Saturday and Sunday of Sandfest, so I understand increasing the price, but definitely wouldn’t stay here again You live, you learn

Great place to stay in Port A Close to everything, nice, pretty new, and very clean More amenities in the room than I was expecting for the price

This will be my go-to hotel the next time I visit Would totally recommend So about the clean: Things can look clean and aren’t of course, so I ALWAYS do a thorough wipe down of all surfaces, remote, switches etc, with Clorox wipes every hotel room I stay in Usually, I am pretty disgusted by what the wipe looks like when I’m done, but not here I was amazed at how not dirty they were If you don’t normally do this, after you do it a time or 2 somewhere and see what you’ve wiped up, you will always do it But I was very pleased by how clean my room actually was when I arrived The hot breakfast was typical, but extensive Waffle maker, little pre-made omelets, sausage, hashbrowns and of course a variety of muffins, bagels, etc Everything was fresh and hot when I arrived

The staffs are very kind and was helpful when we asked for recommendations on where to eat Rooms are clean and spacious Super quiet which is what we love

Location is also nice, about 7 min to the beach Caution, this hotel doesn’t have an elevator so if you need help with going up the stairs, do ask for 1st floor My mom had issues with going up the stairs, so one of us had to stay behind her in case she falls Other than that, we would stay here again

At first glance this place isn’t too bad, online As soon as I turned in to the place it was a disappointment It looks like it was really something back in the day

However, once you factor in the price per night and the amenities that they advertise having but don’t, it is extremely overpriced The main building facing the street is still in ruins from hurricane Harvey which at the time of this review had happened 5 years prior If you do a price comparison to other places in the area you are essentially paying a few hundred dollars extra a night to use their pool Which is a nice pool but not 300 dollars a day nice The condo itself needs attention The 2 bedroom was completely outdated There wasn’t an area in the condo that didn’t need attention I attached several pictures I will never again pay 600+ a night to come here I only leave such a high star review because the staff was able to move other vehicles out of our parking spot in a timely manner

Pool area is sparkling clean – it was alittle too cold when we stayed to get into the pools for long The condo was great for our get away Had take out lunch from on-site restaurant and also ate breakfast there

Both meals were good Enjoyed walking on the beach twice a day by using the boardwalk Not too many people on the beach in this area Great overall stay

Sidney Croy

A very lovely resort We went on Memorial Day weekend, and the pools weren’t even that full; there was still plenty of room to have your own space The condo we had was great, and the balcony was huge

Maintenance was very prompt when our TV stopped working Plus, the beach in front of it was not even crowded either A great experience overall 🙂

We enjoyed how big the room was and that they had a little kitchenette with dishes, pots and pans etc The breakfast options could have been better but it worked for my family When we checked in the front lady said they were very short staffed so to get towels if we needed them

The pool can only be accessible through the outside but again it worked out Very good rates and only 25 min away from our destination at the beach

Maria P. Bell

This wonderful hotel is unobtrusive but wonderful Our room was huge, clean, and thankfully on the ground floor The breakfast is great and you get to make your own Texas shaped waffle

We even had biscuits and gravy on Sunday Even though you’re in a small town, you’re only 20 minutes from all the sights Holly made us feel right at home and gave us great local advice Give her a raise!

Lovely Deanna

Pros and cons mixed feelings for sure Justin and Jessica for the front staff are super helpful and kind The other lady I am not sure if she is the manager, but she had an attitude about checking in with my family and also when we asked about cleaning… room service did not come during our whole weekend stay

The hotel rooms layouts are nice and spacious, but needs to be cleaned all around, dishes were dirty, ac was dirty I wore white clean socks and literally were black from the floors… The breakfast was fully stocked throughout the whole breakfast hours, and simple
