I was very pleased with the quality of the Hampton Our room /bathroom was extremely clean, which is Super important these days! Towels were fluffy and clean

The pool area was very nice and tidy, lots of fresh towels The hallways were vacuumed, everything had a sanitized look to it Breakfast bar was very hot and well stocked and clean! Overall, an excellent 2 day stay and we will be back!

I was immediately impressed with how friendly the staff was when checking in My room was nice and cool (hard to find a hotel with an A/C that works well), and it was super clean Housekeeping doesn’t appear to cut corners, which is important and refreshing to feel safe and taken care of when staying somewhere these days

Breakfast was great every day I stayed, hot and fresh with lots of variety The breakfast staff was also especially friendly I stay at a lot of hotels for work as an Area Manager for a restaurant chain when I’m helping different locations, and this has been one of—if not the—best experiences I’ve had with a hotel Even the night staff was very friendly and accommodating I wish I had names The night front desk older lady with gray hair and glasses was very friendly So was the gentleman night front desk with glasses, long dark hair The breakfast attendant lady was super pleasant and keeps everything very clean and stocked, also checking on all of your customers, and the little young lady worked hard to help and keep tables clean as people came and went I just want to thank you all for taking care of me during my stay Though I love to sleep in my own bed, if I have to stay in Jasper again for business, I most certainly will stay at the Hampton

Erik

This particular Hampton Inn is probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in

I’m not kidding! The rooms were recently remodeled and are kept extremely clean! The hotel staff was so helpful and friendly The grounds around the hotel were kept in top condition as wellKeep up the good work! We will definitely be back on a future trip to Holiday World!

Overall was a good stay Two things would have liked improved The breakfast was the same every morning

Would like a little change like maybe bacon instead of sausage The other thing was being more strict with guest who decide to stay up late being loud and rude while others are trying to sleep Otherwise enjoyed the hospitality by the staff Thank you

We stayed here for our Holiday World trip Check in was quick and easy Our room was clean, but not thoroughly

We found a cup of water on the ground by one of the beds There was also a Nintendo charger left by the lamp from previous guests I found a few ants roaming the desk (one tried to hide in my laptop) Our room was a ground level room, but we did not have blackout curtains (there were curtains but they didn’t shut It seemed more for decoration) Because of this, anyone in the parking lot could look into our room The shower curtains would not close all the way, so the water would not stay in the shower The toliet also took forever to flush Putting aside the negatives, the breakfast was great The staff were really friendly as well Our keys somehow got deactivated and they were able to replace them They seemed to be short staffed, so that’s why the hotel is not getting the proper attention it needs

This is a well operated property! The GM Corinne is pleasant and the staff very competent The pool water was almost comfortable, just a bit cool Breakfast and good coffee was as expected for a Comfort Inn

The GM was aware of the need for more directional signage to find the entry to the property It was not easy to get to the Comfort Inn

Morgan Hatten

First off, the gentleman who checked us in was so nice It took maybe 5 minutes if that to check in He tolds us all the information about the hotel

Secondly, our room was so clean I always check the sheets and mattress everytime, there was no stains or anything at all wrong Bathrooms were super nice, roomy and clean The whole experience was wonderful I will be staying there next time!(Also its only 10 minutes away from Holiday World)

This is one of the nicest Comfort Suites I’ve stayed in It was clean and the room was very spacious even with 2 queen beds and a couch and desk in the room When I got to my room it was warm in there and I could not get the air to come on

I called the front desk and he had a fan that I could use I LOVE sleeping with a fan, so that was awesome! (And the air did come on) I had also made a boo-boo and only booked our 5 rooms for 1 night and needed 2 nights I called the front desk and the gentleman there was very kind and was able to book us the same rooms for the night It was easy and stress-free I really appreciated the wonderful customer service from both of the front desk guys So thank you for making this trip so enjoyable for me

$168 a night and that was supposedly at a reduced group rate

you at least expect a clean facility at that price Room was dirty, trash still on the floor from prior occupants Took nothing more than a wet rag to counters and desk and without even any cleaners got a layer of dirt Outside hall by the door was never vacuumed Leaves and dirt accrued during our stay The restroom near the pool area as nasty filthy, stink, and had trash on the floor It stayed this way from Thursday all the way up to Monday when we checked out Fitness area was a joke – had a weight machine and several cables were broken and one completely missing making it unusable The poor staff was over worked – we were told that owners/management purposely schedules only one person (one!!) at a time They have to do front desk duty, pool checks, laundry, etc No full time maintenance, which means things are broken and building is run down Completely ran out of towels on Saturday The poor woman at the front desk said she didn’t have time to try and get the laundry caught up Sunday the clerk had to turn someone away from getting a room because they were “booked” In reality, there were TONS of empty rooms, but none of them had been cleaned, so they were turning people away What kind of a business model is this?! I would NEVER recommend this hotel Dirty, no staff, run down facility, broken items, overpriced

Karessa Sanders

There was only one person working at this hotel when we arrived in the early evening She informed us that she was alone and that we probably shouldn’t need anything because she wouldn’t be able to help us if we did The pool area was very dirty, while the pool itself was clean

The bathroom in the pool area was under construction When we got to our room it was clean however the pull out sofa bed that we planned on using for our daughter to sleep on didn’t have any bed linens So we went and asked her for some and she huffed about it and a while later she had laid the pile of bed linens on the counter at the check in desk for us, at least we hoped it was for us The location was awesome as we were worn out from a full day at the local water park They do have long pool hours which we were happy about (11pm)

Don’t let the outside of the hotel fool you The inside is soooo much better- seems updated When you walk in, it smells pretty decent- there’s no musty smell, no smoke smell, etc

There is a complimentary breakfast I think it consists of mainly breads and cereals My husband and I visited for a few days from out of town for my birthday We booked a 2 queen size bed room Its a good size room for the two of us We stayed in room 104 There was a fridge and microwave in the room No coffee maker There was a good size table with 2 chairs The bathroom was a little cramped but the rest of the room made up for it My only 2 cons of the room would be:1 There is no lighting by the table/TV area2 There is no comfortable chair if you don’t want to sit on the bed or on one of the table chairsThe hotel is close to EVERYTHING, which is a big plus

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our experience If you’re legit camping and bringing all your stuff, the tent/camper spots are great But we tried the “glamping” covered wagon – and roughing it was an understatement

The 4 cots provided were soaking wet from all the rain coming in (we needed umbrellas inside), foam cushion on one cot had mold all over it, heater smelled incredibly awful and gave us all a headache and we killed 2 huge spiders right awayI would recommend this place if you’re bringing everything of your own Don’t get me wrong, I’ve tent camped my whole life and should’ve just done that, but the covered wagon wasn’t even livable We left after 15 minutes Great idea, poorly executed

Mark Demske

My wife made reservations for us based on pictures online, Pictures appear to be several years old Place is rundown and overgrown Bathrooms are anything but modern, yes they have a flushing toilet, the shower is 2 valves, which is very unsafe especially for young kids

The Chess and Checker fields were over grown to the point they were unplayable The Tepi as expected was very spartanHowever the next morning we left and stayed elsewhere Would not recommend this property

Katya Huster

Nice place right between French Lick resort and Patoka lake Spacious spots for camping and few tepees to book as well The owner is very responsive

I enjoyed the stay It was nice and quiet, we were able to gaze at the starts tooRecommend for a small primitive style vacation

My family and I stayed here while we visited Holiday World because it was the closest best Western branded hotel and we love this brand This hotel fell a little short of our expectations They had really small cups at breakfast

And the whole hotel felt a little run down Check in was very quick which we enjoyed because we were exhausted Also when we asked for extras of anything they were happily given too us Ants in the breakfast area which is to be expected around sticky syrup but would appreciate better cleaning Would stay again but would appreciate if some updates were made

Kelsey Y

This is a pretty nice hotel, everything was very clean and the people running it were very friendly The hot tub could probably use a cleaning though, there was some black moldy looking stuff around the edge of it The included breakfast was average, could use a meat option and some larger cups but the waffles were nice and everything was super clean

Thanks for a good stay!

Marjorie Osborn

I understand why this place is costly though for $200 per night it was not worth the price The tub was chipped and not something I would soak in The air conditioning in our room was set at 60 when we came in the room

We bumped it to 73, when we tried to bring it down to 71 while sleeping it wouldn’t change It was stuckThe pool is so small It can fit maybe 10 peopleThe breakfast area had cob webs above the waffle ironsThe staff is kind and respectful which is appreciated Because they were so kind it made the stay feel welcoming

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and couldn’t have asked for a better experience Amazing views everywhere you look The cabin was really nice and clean, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and there was also a very nice clean game room

I do want to mention that the hot tub could have used a better cleaning in between people’s stays But after asking for a chlorine tablet, a maintenance guy showed up without disturbing us at all and put one in, and they were super nice about it After that the water cleared up and looked a lot better Overall it was an amazing stay and we most definitely will be returning Thank you all!

Jason Nazimek

The cabin was amazing! It was clean and well stocked with anything we could need The staff didn’t bother us, but were available the second we needed anything The location was really great, too

It was a short, 5 minute walk to the lake The cabins arent too close together either We really felt like we had our own space The hot tub was a nice touchAlso, we accidentally left something and the staff tore the cabin apart looking for it for us Once they found it, they overnighted it to us They were extremely helpful in a stressful situation! Definitely went above and beyondBottom line, if you’re thinking about coming here, ignore the negative reviews and just come It is well worth it We will be back soon!

We reserved two rooms, and both were disgusting Water stains on ceiling, walls dirty and stained, bathroom tile and shower were filthy In fact, we didn’t even take showers before we left because the bathroom looked so gross

Beds were old spring mattresses that needed replacing years ago Hodgepodge of carpet near front desk due to water damage I’m assuming Ice machine area smelled so strongly of mold and mildew that we got a bag of ice from a convenience store I’m not sure how this hotel can even pass a health inspection Very disappointed, as we usually have good stays with Wyndham I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and would in fact discourage people from staying here

Charles Spath

They gave me better rates than Priceline Free Continental breakfast is small and mostly cold but adequate to get a good start to the day The only hot items are waffles you make yourself, coffee, and oatmeal, if you add water to instant packets and microwave it

I say the continent is Antarctica, because it’s a small and cold selection LOLThe night manager was very helpful and I had no problems with any staff during days or nights They offered the best prices in Jasper for a room And when you turn the lights out, all hotel rooms look the same anyway They give a reasonable value, have a pool worth using, and easy access to lots of shopping options
