Alyssa checked us in she was super sweet and helpful made us feel welcomed The room was clean and housekeeping even gave us extra towels Maria checked us out she was super busy but she took the time to make us feel important and made sure we had everything we needed before we left to the airport

Front desk was great! After a long flight from NY I checked in late gave me my room & I was all set Rooms are small and cozy definitely loves the hot water especially in the cold water I asked for a space heater because my room wasn’t blowing out enough heat and they provided me with a an extra blanket

Got a room beside the elevator shaft, which produced a lot of noise, probably due to the mechanisms of the old elevator This was a dark spot for an otherwise comfortable and affordable stay The room was well designed, with all the necessities present despite its small size, which can also be said of the bathroom

Just be sure to bring your own water as it isn’t available in your room and getting some at the lobby will cost you

An eclectic space in the heart of downtown Chicago It’s a modernized, renovated version of an older hotel that has a really nice vibe for creative minded peopleThe venue has a nice selection of books, board games, some instruments to play in the back part of their lobby just past the front desk, elevators, and front bar

The bar includes a tapas-style selection from their food menu It has several craft drink selections that are nicely priced in comparison to other bars in the areaOutside of the eclectic atmosphere, the place is pretty tight So, if you’re claustrophobic, this may not be the place for youThe room that I stayed in was more like a studio apartment minus some amenities like a microwave and mini-fridge If I had brought food back from an outing, I either had to eat it that night or let it spoil Along with that, there wasn’t much room to place luggage bags (especially if you have more than 1 bag) If you’re a taller-than-average person (+6 feet) the beds in the room will force you curl up, not really allowing you to stretch out in the bed I can only speak for that style of room There are other options available through booking on the hotel website I will have to reserve a different room for a more accommodating experienceI’m not opposed to this hotel whatsoever The location, as well as, the ambiance is great! I think that I need to give it another try when I visit Chicago again

My family was stranded by a cancelled flight out of midway around 1am the morning of august 11th with 2 little kids the moment I called the front desk clerk(wish I could remember her name) she was more than accommodating, friendly, and helpful When we got there she had already had new sheets on a pack and play for our son

She offered toothbrushes and necessities since we didn’t have our bags with us She made our bad night much better The front desk lady in the morning was just as great and helpful with everything as well along with very friendly The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was decent as well with that lady being very helpful and friendly as well Would recommend this hotel simply due to the customer service received

Do yourself a favor by saving yourself a headache and night of sleep Don’t stay here The traffic is so loud (even on a Sunday night at midnight)

The beds are not queen beds Our shower drain didn’t drain well so the tub filled up as you were showering The door to the bathroom was so heavy, good luck closing it or opening it The attached restaurant has excellent food but was so slow And prepare to pay $20 a night for parking…yes this is just a standard holiday inn with a normal parking lot

One of the most romantic hotels I’ve ever stayed at Rooms were clean, and a big plus is that they have windows that actually open and you can get some fresh air in the room The front desk was professional and attentive

Absolutely fantastic place We traveled from Tampa, FL to Chicago and needed a late check-in since our flight got in at 11:55pm They were more than accommodating and friendly about the situation

No issues at check-in, super easy process We stayed in a private quad room It had a large shower and bathroom included in our room There was a sink, desk with lamp, and closet There were plenty of outlets to charge our phones We always travel with travel pillows and extra blankets The pillows were nice but I would suggest bringing your own blanket if you can Our room was cold, which I prefer, but it was cold (mid-May) I felt safe and it was actually very quiet I would suggest bringing $1 bills and quarters for the vending machines We don’t typically eat breakfast but there were bananas that we snagged Would definitely stay here again It was perfect for what we needed as we were out and about in Chicago all day

Check in was super easy!! shout out to Scott at the front desk- thank you homie! The shared kitchen/entertainment space is pretty dope, met a couple of really cool people! Each room is a private room, super clean and weirdly smells good! The shared bathrooms were clean, plenty of space, and not overly used so you mostly get privacy! The location is awesome!!!!!! A few minute walk to several bus stops, and in a nice area too!They even have luggage storage so you can roam around the city after check out! The front desk is open 24/7 and their super helpful!! 100% will come here again and already recommending it to my fellow travelers!

Best check in experience Jamal was fantastic and made my check in process extremely easy He gave great food recommendations, including the on-site restaurant

The ladies in the morning were great as well, and the sales manager even took a moment to compliment my shoes Everybody was dressed nice, they smiled and greeted you, and I just can’t praise everyone enough My visit was to bury my grandfather, so to have such great customer service during this time made my stay even better

We arrived late on Friday night and Jessie was working the front desk and he did a great job of getting us checked in without any issues He recognized me as a Hilton Honors guest and he immediately told me about the hotel restaurant, bar and other features This hotel had plenty of free parking and it is great shape

The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced with a great selection There is a nice fitness center and indoor pool Our room had a fridge which came in handy the beds and pillows were comfy and there was plenty of space in our room The ice machine is on all of the even floors We were on the 1st floor so we had to walk up to the 2nd floor to get our ice The room does not have a microwave but there is a microwave downstairs in the snack area that we used to warm up our food when needed This hotel has everything you need There’s also a nice breakfast spot too in this hotel for your bagels, fruits, juices, coffees, and other items This hotel was better than I expected and the service was great!

I had my first Women Conference here at the Hilton Oaklawn / Chicago location and no matter the problem the management worked it out! The catering staff was super excellent and Sue was the Catering manager for our event! Beautiful spirited individual! Because it was geared to women they tried hard to give us a great female staff presence and we truly appreciated it so much! Tom and Greg were the best Hilton Hotel mangers you could ask for! Greg even started cleaning & inspecting rooms to assist in getting our ladies in their rooms in a timely fashion! We fell in love with him! Our Catering agent Anne did her absolute best to prepare the mangers and give us what we needed when we booked the location! The conference food was delicious and beautifully prepared! Javier the custodial engineer went above and beyond! I definitely recommend this location if it’s your first time so that you have a supportive hotel staff who cares!

Aura really needs to upgrade all rooms especially Tryst room I got my package as advertised However, the room was not sound proof, no soap or conditioner in the shower dispenser, blood on the remote control which is a major negative!!!! Holes in the walls and etc You guys better do something because things like that will cause Aura at this location to be shutdown

I will not return to this hell and I want my refund for the blood on the remote control

Cons: Things that were listed on the website were either unavailable or not true (no free breakfast, the pool is NOT heated, the restaurant is not open) If you have a lot of luggage and need to haul it in with a cart the entrance from the side parking lot isn’t accessible (there’s a step to get in the door) and the back parking lot is gravelI think a lot of the cons wouldn’t have stung so much if the price per night hadn’t been so high I kind of ate the cost because I thought I was paying for the amenties, but to get there and have to go to WalMart to get microwave breakfasts and dinners suckedI would only stay here again if the rooms were 100 or less a night, or if they got the breakfast/restaurant situation straightened out

An opened beer was in the fridge, safety bobby pin on the floor, tape literally holding some of the wall together, and the mirror when steamed stated ‘TRUMP 2021!’ I talked to the supervisor when he came in at 4pm only to say they will just take 20% off and can’t find any product to remove the sign on the mirror! Room preparation is a simple task Hotels accept damage deposits, so most issues should be an easy fix, just buy a new mirror or washing product then! Seems very lazy on staff

I’m Hilton member so its a great investment that I did with Hilton it’s totally worth it So highly recommended it if you travel once in a while or consistent travelerBut this hotel just amazed us This place is just amazing, we are loving the service and breakfast 🥞😍 we can have what they added to the breakfast and can also have it freshly made 😁 felt like home seriously

Staff is highly trained and polite Have helped us with all of our random questions The whole hotel is spot less and specious Rooms are bigger than normal Hilton hotels, we always take 2 queen bed and got small lobby, fridge, nice finished bathroom, multiple sink around the room 😁 well that is different well you won’t know until you stay here lol but it’s a perk I would sayNice big parking outside and beautiful view of the road we can see from our room Cool and vibrant place must stay here if you visiting Chicago city and the area around here
