Food bar was closed early We got there at 8pm and it was closed No drink bar like the other double tree

The hotel itself is ok However, the front desk staff was exceptional I usually stay at five star hotels when I travel which is very often

Although this hotel is definitely not a five star the staff is I believe the front desk person’s name is Diane I stayed here nearly a week Every time I passed by the front desk she was asking how I was doing and whether she could do anything to make it better There was also a cohort of her with this beautiful ring that was also outstanding These two made my stay above average

This Hotel is a Great Value for all that you receive The staff is Courteous and Pleasant to deal with The property is in a prime location within walking distance to the Premium Outlets and minutes from Gurnee Mills

My wife and I have stayed here several times as it’s clean and comfy The pool and hot tub are inviting I have used their treadmill and fitness facility and find it exceptional Their personal touch begins with a warm delicious cookie on check-in Enjoy your Stay!

I had to stay at this hotel due to workmy stay was over a month in length

It provided a bed and basic amenities The reason for such a low rating had to do with the lack of upkeep or maintenance The roof was recently installed However the roofing job was not the greatest craftsman work Strong winds blew off one side of the the newly installed roof I informed front desk staff about it The elevator was always out of order I could take the stairs Upon leaving with many suitcases it would have been nice to use elevator At minimum meet ADA compliance for someone unable to use stairs In the month that I stayed here, things required maintenance, all were never resolved during the month of my stay For example the complimentary washer and dryers Several out of order The main areas such as hallways were untidy The laundry areas were also filthy and tattered with dryer lint etc A front desk person always grumpy The marijuana smell permeates the entire hotel Not sure what they can do about it People loitering in back of the hotel, smoking pot openly I wouldn’t stay here again Management needs to address the poor condition of this hotel The rooms needs a makeover

Adrian P

Spent three weeks staying there for work Older hotel but very solid Comfortable room and even a DVD player that I used a lot

The location can’t be beat: they’ve got a million great restaurants in the area Laundry was free which was a huge plus The staff was super friendly too the whole time My only complaint is how noisy it was, especially at night

We are checking out today our stay was very nice The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean The room we stayed in was the king whirlpool suite the room itself was nice and fairly standard for a hotel room

The whirlpool tub in the room was clean and overall a nice way to relax The complimentary breakfast was decent The amenities include a pool, hot tub, and gym The highway is right by the hotel but I could not hear any traffic from inside of the room Overall the hotel is a 10/10 from me and I do recommend coming here

Spacious rooms I thought we accidentally got a suite but nope just that big The pool is HEATED

Best pool experience ever The hot tub bubbles so much it’s like a caldron (good thing) The breakfast is awesome, I mean, they have egg white omelettes and a machine that makes fresh pancakes Best hotel experience ever I’ll never stay anywhere else on MY dime

Aaron Swarvar

Reminds me why I stopped staying at Holiday Inn 15 years ago Location is good Everything else is decidedly mediocre at best

Parking is rough Furnishings are well past their prime Seems clean though Nothing is “crisp” Creaks, groans, stomping, and noise like I haven’t experienced in a loooong time Light sleeper? Stay away I only stayed here because my usual go-to was booked (Doubletree), my backup was booked (Hampton), and my 3rd choice was over $200 (Fairfield)

Jackie Cheyne

The room was spacious and somewhat clean When I checked in, the desk clerk was in jeans and shirt Wasn’t accustomed to that with holiday Inn

There were ants in the roomThe lock did not work on the door, and the keycard had to be reset They had cold breakfast dued to inventory issue Had an issue with the bill, asked to speak to manager, they were not in, asked for him/her to text me for I would be at work Never received a text or a call, called again, left message, did not receive a phone call Called guest relations and explained the issues She resolved the issue by giving me 10000 points in which I would receive in 7 to 10 business days Lmao

Me And My Family had the Best Experience with Fairfield By Marriott , the staff were always polite and welcoming The Continental Breakfast was Really A Good Variety, My granddaughter loves waffles so she really enjoyed them Our Suite was Really Big I was surprised that the room had a couch that lets out to a bed

Me And My Family Will Definitely Be Coming Back Again

Ariena

I’m only leaving this review because I walked in to drop off a door dash and the lady at the front desk had the worst attitude not sure maybe she was tired but still I even told her have a great night and she hesitated to say it back than said it with such lack of wanting to say it Not sure but if your in the Hospitality business regardless what time it is and whether it’s a guest walking in or not you should be so rude especially when I was trying to be very nice and polite to her

I definitely wouldn’t book a room here if that’s the kind of service I would be given as a guest

Pat G

First time at this hotel & I DO NOT RECOMMEND I left an hdmi with an iPhone adapter & my bikini when I checked out Neither item was turned in

Before checking out I was cleaning up & left the my phone in the room & when I went back for it the male housekeeper was taking it out from his pocket!! Managers never reached out to communicate Very bad experience for the first time visiting We definitely will not being coming back!!

Pros: 1) Clean & modern The bathroom looks amazing 2) Bed was comfortable

3) The staff were niceCons: 1) I fell down the muddy slope between the parking lot and hotel, a walkway would’ve been nice 2) I almost lost a finger sliding the shower door closed 3) I set the room thermostat to cool to 66 F, it did not change from 75 F 4) I don’t know what continent the continental breakfast came from but I never want to go there

Gagan Dhall

Clean rooms, quiet environment and friendly staff Very convenient location as well Many places to eat around including the restaurant in the hotel which was out of service for renovations during our stay but looked big and good as I peeked in

Extremely friendly staff, especially Becka walking distance to CTCA but they also provide shuttle services every 20 minutes If you are a light sleeper make sure you ask for the parking side room not the street side

Most rooms air conditioner doesn’t meet the standards of someone from Texas 🙂 The water pressure could be a bit better but overall very pleasant experience There are only three handicap spots sharing with several other businesses so expect to either be dropped off by someone caring for you or plan to walk a pretty great distance

Anthony Street

Great location Good restaurants near by Coffee shop on site

Rooms were clean and comfortable It was quiet Good view Price was a little high in relation to accommodations, but not extremely high They also offer a chill meeting room Good for business or romantic travel But if travelling alone I would select a different hotel

Lasalle Nazario

Staff was first class for sure, clientele not so much Pool looked nice but it was a friggin madhouse with kids on Valentine’s Day weekend?!?!(not behaved kids either)Also the next morning the staff were on top of cleaning everything Floors, windows, rooms

was pretty impressive This place is clean for sureOnly cons were they charge for parking(get the $3-24 hour pass so you don’t have to pay $2 every time you come back to the garage They don’t stress this option at check-in, so make sure to ask if you missed it) Also they charge for a continental breakfast($9) but also have a buffet option for $15 Food looked decentThere is a very nice restaurant connected to the hotel called the Corner House It is on the pricey side but food looked good I only sat at the bar unfortunatelyAll in all a very nice hotel if you’re not worried about budgeting(remember you get what ya pay for)Edit: We just found out the night we stayed, there was a shooting 2 min away in a local bar that left 4 or 5 people with gunshot woundsreally Racine?!

Chad Nichols

Good location right on the harbor Upgraded to harbor view room after the first night for a few bucks more

beat money we spent as the rooms are noticably bigger Front desk staff wasn’t overly friendly but accommodated our room change request Hotel was supposedly full but sure didn’t see anyone even at breakfast we were about the only ones eating during the height of breakfast time The 2 queen bed rooms that aren’t harbor view are too small and the beds are basically against the wall so very difficult to get in and out of bed

Ally Hayes

I’m a mom with 3 teenagers and they guy at check in offers me an “upgrade” to a king size bed from my 2 double room “for only $60 more a night” Really? Read the room! Do you want to sleep in a king bed with 3 half grown adults? The Staff was not accommodating If I want to buy milk at 9pm for the cookies you gave the kids at check in that should be an option

The shower did not drain good at all After a 10 min shower the water was mid calf so I had to turn the shower off and wait for the water to drain The “continental breakfast” is not free $9 and an option for buffet is $15 save your money and go to Roosters 5 min down the road The pool is very small At checkout they never said anything about needing a parking pass to get out of the garage I used mine from the night before, it didn’t open the gate I hit the call button and it didn’t even budge I called the number and the guy on the phone kept telling me to hit the button after multiple time of telling him the button was broken and not pushing in he said hold on let me call my colleague He calls my phone back and says try your ticket I told him the machine already took my ticket After 10 min back and forth and a line of annoyed drivers behind me they finally lifted the gate I did not get my monies worth and will never stay here again at $250 a night for 2 double bed Ridiculous!

This hotel was amazing to work with for our wedding block Nick the manager was great to work with- explained everything, shared links to book and always accommodated us with any requests we had The day of was terrific, the rooms were so nice and the meeting room we booked to get ready in was prefect

The receptionist we worked with that day was so caring and nice- she was wonderful to all our guests I would highly recommend using this location as a wedding block

Shannon Gaska

We used this hotel for a wedding block this past weekend (8/6/22) We worked with Nick T for setting up our room block and he was a delight! He was quick with responses and very accommodating when we needed to add additional rooms to our block

We were provided with a mix of kind suites, king rooms, and double queens which worked great for our guests Our room was very clean and perfect sizing for our wedding party to get ready in Check in and check out were seemless and all of the staff were so nice and friendly We even got to chat with Nick during our stay On our wedding day, staff were congratulating us and telling us how wonderful everyone looked It was a nice touch on our big day Our family really enjoyed having the pool available to kill time and the continental breakfasts were delicious!!! Highly recommend this hotel for your stay or a room block!!!

Had a great stay overnight with Michelle We enjoyed the amenities of the hotel, the nicely remodeled rooms, the very comfortable bed and great breakfast in the morningVery nice hotel, clean and well maintained

What a great location for anything in Racine, centralized, right off of Hwy 20 yet quiet and comfortable away from the highwayThanks for a great stay!

Dimitrios Drossos

If there was lower than 1 star I would rate them that DO NOT stay at this property The owners have no regard for basic sanitation

See the pictures below My sheets had blood stains on them and management instructed their staff to make the bed anyway When I asked for a refund of my room because I opted not to stay there anymore, management informed me that because I, ‘stayed in the room for more than 30 minutes, there is nothing they can do’ What does it matter how long I was in the room for? Is every guest expected to pull all the sheets off their bed from the second they get into the room? This is ridiculous I am now suing them and involving the Department of Health

It bums me out to write this, but we did not have a good experience this morning I understand the world is understaffed, but it wasn’t as busy as restaurants typically are on holidays We had a 10:30am reservation, ended up starting to eat at 12pm

When we first ordered, things seemed okay, but 20min after ordering, the waitress informed me my meal wasn’t available & provided me a menu again and apologized She didn’t come back till about 10-15min later to retake my order When we got our food, it was bland, undercooked & my moms toast burnt- we couldn’t finish eating I tried to eat as much as I could, but now I actually feel sick, cause my eggs weren’t fully cooked🤷🏼‍♀️ But I was starving after two mimosasThe staff could tell it wasn’t great as they comped us a bit on our bill, but I was pretty disappointed as I wanted to take my mom somewhere nice I’ve had drinks here before & ran into similar issues with increased time waiting for service & expensive drinks I feel the price should match the food, atmosphere & quality of service, which unfortunately wasn’t there We still provided a decent tip as it wasn’t totally our waitresses fault, but sadly, we won’t be back😔

Ben Devine

Have had great dining experiences here ever since I moved to Kenosha in early 2021 It been almost a weekly staple for me and my girlfriend and it’s never disappointed us Our regular server Allison and the new chef Alex are very polite and friendly making us feel welcomed and valued as a customer

I’m excited what new menu items will be introduced in the future!

Mark Angelo

We had a terrible dining experience at Apis We went there to celebrate a special occasion on Saturday, May 21 with a group of eight We had made a reservation long in advance

Food was pretty good but portions small, even when ordering the Large plate items Service was terrible For starters the server only brought 3 menus for the eight of us to share We asked for more but never got them Once we ordered it took over 45 minutes to get the first plate of food Then about every 10-15 minutes another plate would come out It took more than 2 hours to get all of our food, so each family member ate separately Our server kept coming to our table to ask us how everything was even when we hadn’t received any food, which really puzzled us, and each time we asked about the status of our food and each time we were told the kitchen was really backed up The kitchen was clearly out of sync and in chaos After all the time at this restaurant we went to another restaurant for appetizers afterwards We definitely won’t be returning to Apis again

We stayed there over Aug 5-6 The food was hot, staff where very nice Room had a little small but it was only when we flushed the toilet

So I believe it’s the city’s water We had a room next to the pool for the most part it was quite Pool seemed busy most of the time We never used it as to it was always busy when we where not at the Ren fair But when we booked we also didn’t book because of a pool So wasn’t that big of a deal we didn’t us it Room was clean bed/blanket where clean!

L

Breakfast was good – offering both cold and hot items – the selection was limited but filling, though we all (other guests too) had to keep asking for items as they kept running out due to having many patronsWe needed additional towels one evening, and initially were denied and told there were no towels available We desperately needed new towels (we cleaned up a spill in the room earlier in the day and now had a guest in the room physically ill from a migraine and had hoped to take a bathe/shower with a dry and clean towel) – I had to actually explain why I needed additional towels – after explaining the issue – then I given a few small towels that go on the floor to step on after a shower and were told they were hand towels – when I pointed this out – the front office clerk reluctantly and eventually were provided 2 small bath towels and he did not do so with a smile but made us feel like we were putting him out and really did not deserve the towels

Initially, he literally told us that they did not have any clean towels to give us — and this was after 9 or 10 pm I found it hard to believe that they had no clean towels in the entire hotelOur room had a bit of a musty smell, which I could have over looked, but I guess the whole towel issue and how I was treated was the finally breaking pointWe traveled over 8 hours to stay the weekend to visit a sick family member, so we were already stressed and just wanted to have some clean towels for after our showersOh, and you need to let the front office know by 8am if you will be needing any room cleaning etc We found a small piece of paper in the room on the evening of the second day – after the towel issue – stating that information So, I guess if you are staying – ask when you arrive for clean towels for the next day – just in case you need them I had no idea at 8 am that we would have a spill in the bathroom and that one of the guests in the room would develop and significant migraine

I would’ve given this place a 5 star, had it not been for 2 thingsThe guy that checked is in was stuck on “how educated he was at his job” He missed the idea of customer service

We were exhausted after being on the road , we are truck drivers He wanted to make sure that we knew the policy on credit cards when another party is paying and is not present at check in He took it to a point of being argumentative about the possibility of fraud, continually over talked me which was so rude2nd- we had to park a couple of blocks away in The Brat lot, due to the construction in the parking lot that we were not made aware of Again, really inconvenientThe room was clean & nice size, bed was nice Other than that, nothing to grandThe woman at check out was a belle! Simply wonderful!

The quality of the guest rooms are OK, some are better than others Someone set my room to 80 degrees on my arrival for my last visit and I had to run the AC in mid March to cool it down to a comfortable sleeping temp Also, please stop with the breakfast attendant serving food in the mornings

It takes forever, and no one wants to wait in line for that stuff

I live in the area but I came along and stayed with my cousin that were visiting I slept on the pull out bed but I was kind of disgusted by the state of the inside

There was a toy wedged in there and it was very crumby I was also suspicious of the big brown stain on the floor There was this coffee table that opened up to put stuff into, it was already open and very difficult to close as it was broken and I felt like no one tried to fix this when cleaning the room But i slept fine and the complimentary breakfast was okay

My son said he got a room with a hot tub paid 200 dollars so he and his gf could celebrate his birthday He’s not one to complain but I will for him because this was gross and unacceptable for 200 dollars He said there was a spider in the bed and worst of all it was dirty and when the jets turned on it looked like dead skin cells just blowing around the tub

That would have made me vomit and I would have came down and demanded a refund at that point and left to go else where So gross! I told him he should have said something Nasty Have a talk with housekeeping please and do better at maintaining bath tubs showers hot tubs Jacuzzis and so on Maybe even an exterminator from time to time so people don’t have spiders in their beds
