This past weekend (July 8, 9, and 10) we had 18 of our veterans stay at the Comfort Inn The veterans were attending their first day of classes at nearby University of North America The feedback from our veteran/students was incredible

The rooms were clean and neat, the amenities were plentiful and the staff were top-notch Our guys were able to walk everywhere for food, shopping and entertainment We plan on coming back gain and again! Thanks Comfort Inn!

I routinely stay here for business I can honestly say the all the staff are attentive The rooms are clean, the frontdesk staff are friendly

The lady working the breakfast always has a smileThe fitness room has basics There is a pool but haven’t used it Very close to nice restaurantsEasy access

Mustafa DINCTURK

It is fun to be here; We always bet with my son if our door card will work to open the door or fail again and the one losing usually come back to lobby to recode the card The Associates are very welcoming and polite as a plus side for this place The room smells very old and humid

Staff is great but the rest should be at least from last decade

FINALLY!!!! A decent priced motel in a great location It was clean, quiet, safe, and the shower water pressure was PERFECT! The free breakfast in morning was not great, prepackaged grocery store type foods Coffee maker was down but they offered a carafe of coffee if you wanted

Front desk staff were ok, nothing overly friendly not unfriendly either just there to do their job The room was small – I had a single queen I prefer a smaller cozy room to a huge space though, and it was just me traveling The linens were clean, room itself was clean, and smelled good as well A few basic toiletry items available – shampoo, conditioner, 2 soaps Plenty of lamps, plugs TV on smaller side and basic cable hanging over desk area with this huge fancy desk chair that has a head rest Coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, dorm fridge, and microwave in room Location in the middle of so many things to eat and shopping I would definitely stay there again

Keleni Toiaivao

Nice hotel Clean Staff were polite and very helpful

Rooms were great Clean bedding (linen) Decent bed (not the most comfortable, but I still liked it) and the free breakfast, although very basic, is definitely a plus The only thing they got wrong or should I say need to address is the shower Whoever installed it, forgot to add the door seals Water would leak out during my showers Also, the shower could use some grip tape or a shower mat on the floor It tends to get pretty slippery in there Other than that, I really enjoyed my stayThe area is great They’re right in the middle of everything you’d need Shopping, dining, entertainment It’s all there I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in town

Deborah Malauulu

I’ve stayed in a fair share of 2 star hotels and I’m telling you this one is on its way up Location is near many food options and stores Good clean room on a budget

You get what you pay for and I had such a great experience here from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out Breakfast is light but just what you need to get the morning started

Great place just outside of DC Lots of space in our room I didn’t use any amenities we only had one night, but the room was much better than I expected

We had a bedroom and a sitting room with a door to separate the two rooms It slept 6 comfortably so long as you are not picky about bed sizes We have a full at home so nothing new for us Highly recommend if you have kids

shannon moore

Our room is on the fifth floor and has seen it’s share of visitors But overall is a nice room and the beds are comfy The sofa bed is like any sofa bed sunk in when sitting on it as a couch but the bed is comfy is one has to sleep says my oldest

The hot water is warm hopefully that’s just because we are on the fifth floor but overall the bathroom is very nice The AC in the room is kinda loud but it cools the room down nicely

Melissa Harness

Hotel is older but remodeled The air conditioning is so loud Our first room it actually rattled the floor

They did move us to another room, but the system in there was very loud too One other room they had us in smelled of smoke so they moved us after saying the whole hotel was supposed to be smoke free So switched a total of 3 rooms to get a decent one Also, no hot breakfast as advertised Also indoor pool was so tiny and had a weird green color tinge to it That being said the bed was good Evening front desk clerk was super nice, day time guy was not Overall, not a great experience as far as choice hotels go

Just spent a wonderful weekend at this B and B The beds were comfortable and showers had strong water pressure The best part of the stay was getting to know the owners, Anne and Mark who made a FABULOUS breakfast each day

Hot fresh muffins with berries from their garden were served along with eggs, bacon or sausage All food is absolutely wonderful I asked Anne to share some of her recipes with me Great service as well as knowledge about the area Plan to go back again

Helen Quinn

Beautiful Victorian home, welcoming and hospitable innkeepers We stayed in the cottage which we highly recommend So pretty and cozy

We didn’t get a chance to walk around Manassas at all since we were visiting our son in the Fairfax area Great location, only about 20 minutes from Fairfax Mark and Ann are very friendly and prepared a delicious breakfast We can’t wait to return the next time we are visiting that area

Carol Krieger

Mark and Ann are genteel hosts who have lived in Manassas and been part of the community for 30 years They know so many people and have been involved with renewing the community with eco friendly gardening and preserving natureWe loved the restored guest cottage! And the breakfast was organic fruits and vegetables from their own garden

Ants Everything was fine with this hotel and my stay until I started eating my dinner at the table/desk in the room and then notice little ants coming all different directions towards my food I then search over the entire desk/table and find and kill about 25 ants

I then clean the table/desk with a wet towel and the towel ended up brown/black Rooms are renovated but shows they cannot even keep the new furnishings cleanOther then the ants the room the room was relatively clean with cold AC and no bad or musty smell in the room Gave a 4 only because of the updated rooms and distance to the national mall or it would have been a 3Even though I shouldI didn’t use the gym but it looks very empty equipment wise Apparently hotel has a outdoor pool McDonald’s right next door was clutch and ants would probably agreeI have come to accept choice hotels either have bugs in the room or the rooms are outdated or both and again sadly I was not disappointed with this stay with those expectations

Troy Brown

Overall, not a bad place to stay if you just need a place to sleep Staff was friendly at check-in, bed was comfortable, good location Had AC as cold as it would go for two days and it barely kept the room from feeling warm

The bathroom door squealed loud enough anytime it moved to wake other people in the room Room had a couple floor to ceiling cracks, hallway carpet was stained, and the elevator was beat up and a little sketchy

Lolita Pollard-Kezele

The rooms are remodeled and nice The outside need to be renovated The halls need attention too

They were working on it but it isn’t done They had a big school crowd It’s important to plan for this during breakfast time We just left and went to get our own breakfast at Denny’s But I would stay here again because the room was comfortable

Tasha Deitz

This was a great family vacation The hotel was moderately clean, I did find some random garbage in my room down by the beds However, the service was fantastic, especially the woman working the front desk the morning of 4/14 and 4/15/22

Breakfast was amazing we did get breakfast vouchers with our room when booking I would absolutely stay here again, anytime

Anthony

I stayed here for two nights Check in was pleasant and the property honored my Spire Elite status by leaving a note and goodies inside the room and allowing me to checkout late The location is great being right in the heart of Ballston

The room and parking rates are less than nearby hotels Although the service was good, I’m only giving it four stars because the bed wasn’t particularly comfortable and the walls seemed thinned enough to hear into the next room and the housekeeping in the hallway was disturbing because of this

Robert Norris

Just okay Pillows in the room were either completely flat or hard as a brick I found one out of 8 that was barely acceptable

The biggest negative is the breakfast that starts at 7 am That’s too late when you have to be at work at 8 in DC I do commend that they have a made to order breakfast, but it needs to start at 6 am Room itself wasn’t bad and the bed was decent Final negative is $16 a day for parking

Toilet in room needed plunging on multiple occasions as well I was only offered to change rooms each time Such an inconvenience I was offered 1 night’s stay comped that I’ve yet to receive Been 11 days post stay Plus side: staff was nice enough

Greg Treacy

Love Country Inn and Suites and this location lives up to the standards of the other locations I’ve stayed at Clean rooms, great service with helpful workers and delicious breakfast options Not to far from lots of fun and adventures including Great Falls and even a day trip into DC

This is a great hotel to stay at if you are visiting northern Virginia

Amir Na

Excellent hotel! I’ve been to all the hotels nearby from Hyatt house and Marriot Fairfield in to comfort inn and extended stay This is by far the best and cleanest among them and surprisingly less expensive! The highlight of this hotel for me was the cleanliness and it didn’t fail to impress! The breakfast is also good Good job guys and keep up the good work

Hotel is nicely located It’s trying to bill itself as a resort but it’s really not

It’s missing a nice pool, restaurant and bar It does have some club like features on the main floor nicely done The rooms are well equipped for rental your basic vacation condo but a bit dated Hotel is still running under COVID-19 policies for housekeeping which was a surprise for me

Katie C.

Our family has been staying at Wyndham’s across the country for years and they continue to be a wonderful experienceThe staff is almost always very friendly and personable (we all have our off days) and it’s kept so nicely cleanThe location of this Wyndham is perfect, across the street from the metro & beautiful views

We did have the room keys go orange and suddenly decide they did not want to work on the room (but would on the front entrance since it was past midnight)Thankfully the staff was able to help us get it corrected Would love to come back in the near future

Brandon Clift

Lamar, Marquita, and John went ABOVE and beyond for us during our short stay in DC They pulled out all the stops to ensure that my fiance and I were comfortable and had everything we needed for a beautiful stayOur experiences staying in 10+ other Wyndham locations has varied

After our weekend trip to DC my fiance and I both agree that the Alexandria Wyndham is BY FAR the greatest we have stayed inThe best part is that it is located directly on top of the DC Metro, making getting in and out of DC a breeze It is also positioned perfectly at the beginning of the iconic and historic King Street, which we ventured up and down multiple timesDon’t waste your money staying at an overpriced hotel in DC; instead, stay in Alexandria’s Wyndham

The room was large and the location was close to 66 for easy travel Lots of food and gas options close byThe room needed updating and a good deep cleaning

Sheets smelled like bleach so at least I know they were washed Blankets had burn holes all over them The bathroom was small and not well cleaned Tub and walls needed to be scrubbed badly The walls had what looked like smashed bugs above the shower wall After my shower, the water would not turn off properly so we had to keep going in there to move the handle around just to get it to stop The wall near the bed had burn marks in several spots Our bed sank in the middle and had coils you could feelThe property was well lit and we felt safe

Lillian Rodriguez

The hotel was okay All 3 rooms weren’t properly cleaned Still debris on the floor, Couldn’t walk barefoot socks turned black

My towels were dirty! They had black and brown stains In 2 rooms the bed sets had burn holes in them Had to reclean bathtub, whole in bathtub and so much more Never again Staff never knows how to answer questions

Kariel Caldwell

The chair in the room had black stains on it the table still had food or sauce from the last guest that stayed so in other words it wasn’t clean Room stunk and not like cigarettes It’s a smoking room but smelled worse

Breakfast was TRASH I wouldn’t even call it breakfast it’s like the hotel figure that because there is McDonald’s and restaurants nearby that their breakfast shouldn’t be great but people pay all this money for hotels and should get what they are paying for The comfort suites breakfast was better and they are a choice hotel also I honestly was livid about the breakfast smh so sad and disappointed wasted my time even waking up to go down there Jail served better breakfast than thatonly thing good was the juice 🤷🏾‍♀️

I was informed upon check-in that despite having masks mandates in the state, the staff does not enforce it I also encountered several employees who did not wear a mask at all I saw a large group of guests convened in the check-in area, in front of the front desk and no one was wearing a mask

In addition, my room had a hard stain/residue next to the bed We also found what appeared to be pubic hair in the shower and near the sink Only reinforced the notion that the hotel is not taking cleaning seriously nor the pandemic, we are still in After sending photos and videos, I was comped a night and informed that housekeeping would come in and thoroughly clean the room Upon arrival back into the room, we found the carpet stain was removed but the hair remained I took additional photos and videos We are disgusted Despite the hotel being new construction, well laid out and comfortable furnishings, I am not at all confident that cleanliness and safety are a priority at this hotel Upon check out, I showed the front desk attendant the new photo and videos and she in a nice/nasty tone and attitude dismissed my concerns leaving a further bad taste in my mouth When we called down asking for a late checkout, she was nasty in how she rejected our request

Janet Haggard

Everything was absolutely perfect The rooms were large and clean and the beds were very comfortable The building is beautiful with an indoor pool but the very best part was the staff

They were very helpful and extremely pleasant and eager to assist Good breakfast in the morning I will definitely stay there again when I’m in that area I highly recommend them

Immanuel Watkins

We came up from the Virginia Beach area to see a Washington Commanders football game and stayed at this hotel The hotel was nice and clean, the breakfast food was good and several restaurants and Walmart close by but what made our stay superb was Andrew!!!! He checked us in efficiently as well as several other guests He was professional and courteous and very tentative to each guests

He was working alone and juggling calls, check-ins and grabbing extra sheets for guests This kid was incredible We checked in around 10pm and checked out 10am the next day and he was still there manning the front desk If I had my own business I would offer him a job for more pay because he is a stellar employee for SpringHill Suites He should be promoted ASAP! It’s because of him I would stay in the this same hotel again for the next game Sincerely, Dr Watkins

This is my second time staying at Why Hotel Tysons Corner My first stay went smooth and was perfect, In fact I did recommend your hotel to my family and friends Surprisingly when I checked in in the the second time after coming from a 6 hours flight I was given the keys to a room that had already people belongings in it

The lady at the front desk had no idea it was occupied So I went down to her and told her it was already occupied, she gave me the keys to another room, I opened the apartment and it had people cloth hanging and boots I went down again and told her its occupied, she told me maybe they kept their stuff behind When she came with me to check the room, a lady went out of that same apartment! Finally the 3rd try worked and she was able to find us a clean ready apartment

I wasn’t even able to book anything due to terrible reception I was unable to view the website, so I called Right off the bat, I explained that I was having website issues, so I needed to book live

I informed the receptionist that I was looking to stay 2 nights, and he said he would see what he could do After repeating back the wrong information multiple times, he finally told me there were rooms available: “Just look on the site to book” I hope I don’t have to explain why this was frustrating After I reiterated the details, he said in quite a haughty tone that reservations required a minimum of 4 nights as if it were obvious Why didn’t you just tell me that in the beginning when I laid out the details? He even laughed at me afterwards when I told him I didn’t realize this Looking back on the site, I do see an alert, but the alert itself isn’t very user-friendly if I’m being honest; it’s quite easy to miss-I was very disappointed because friends recommended this place, and they had such a good experience But if this is the the type of person who’s going to be working with guests, then WhyHotel isn’t worth my money, plain and simple Generalizing the whole staff as being disrespectful would be inaccurate and unfair, but it only takes one staff member to lose eager, paying customers Rude reception is never good for business I don’t doubt it’s a great place (the pictures look lovely), and I hope other people have a better experience, but this experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth I don’t think I’ll ever be bringing my business back to WhyHotel

Van Freeman

The WhyHotel Tysons Corner is perfectly located, very easy to get around, and walking distance from bars, restaurants, and grocery stores, like Whole Foods The overall experience was great, with exceptionally clean rooms and everything you need to feel at home The Lobby staff was extremely helpful from the beginning, explaining the check-in process, and providing guidance bars and restaurants around the hotel at all hours of the night

the communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on pictures I would TOTALLY recommend it

This is an adequate hotel, made exceptional by the quality of the staff here Without exception, the people who work at this hotel have been kind, helpful, efficient, polite, and good natured i mean, literally everybody — the people at the front desk who helped me track down my groceries, the woman who makes coffee in the morning, the housekeeping staff: everybody

there was some trash in the courtyard one morning, and by the time i got back to my room from letting the front desk know, it had already been removed Because i am the type of person who cares about being treated well by friendly people who are excellent at their jobs, i would come back to this hotel the next time i am in the area

Interesting place Has no free breakfast, but does offer reasonable made-to-order food selections in their Bistro My room was large and comfortable–but my first without a microwave

an inconvenience as I was staying there for 2 weeks Staff seemed friendly The location was very good for me, and there was a ‘deal’ on pricing which was welcome

Anne Fury

Our family was there to attend a funeral All the staff were so kind to us Sam and Jose at the front desk, Anna and Allen realized that this was not a holiday for us and they were gentle, sympathetic to our needs

We arrived Thursday, Feb 3 and checked out Sunday morning on Feb 6My daughter was staying at the Marriot a mile away with her dad and brother The guys had to check out on Saturday, so My daughter, who I didn’t want to be alone, was able to switch to the Courtyard with no extra charge I’m so pleased with the excellent customer serviceBy the way, the breakfasts were so good! Thanks to all of you for your concern and caring

Visited this BEAUTIFUL park on Father’s day weekend We had a great time There is so much to do

Many many trails Close to the Air and Space Museum, battle field a Buddhist Temple and many other tourist spots to visit This park itself is HUGE, very family oriented, playground, Waterpark on-site, creek, Pavillion, disc golf, so much green space I saw reviews of people complaining about noise from shooting range Shooting range is part of recreational activity here so it is SILLY to complain We were out and about during the day and were not bothered by it You couldn’t hear the noise on the trails at all This park is well kept and super clean We enjoyed our visit and would like to return to check out many trails that we couldn’t on this trip We were in site 97 and had a beautiful view Checkout the 📸

If I would of known that the campsite didn’t allow more than 7 people to unite in one campsite, even though we all have two separate tent sites We had to cut our celebration short because of this reason I would rate it 0! The site manager was rude by saying we’re tracking his campsite It’s raining!!! I dont suggest this place to camp, it floods and there’s tons of mosquitos when it doesn’t rain

Update: the following day we were told that only two cars per site, they told us this the previous day It’s 10 am, check out at 11 and we were toldNot to have more than two car on a site We are loading up to get out of this over controlled place By the way they count kids as adults!

Diane Morgan

They should change the name of this park to “Shooting Range Camground” If you like to medicate your dogs due to being close to a shooting range; if you like camping in a swamp; if you like having to walk 1,000 steps each way to a bathroom; or taking a shower in a FREEZING bath house

THIS IS THE CAMPGROUND FOR YOU! I forgot to mention you are also in the flight path of planes coming in to Dulles No where on their website does it mention a shooting range We were in site#40 and you could SEE the white targets thru the trees! Shooting range is closed on Mon & Tues: but open every other day The shooting even had myself getting anxious to the point of having to play music to try to cover it One day I could have sworn we were in Ukraine; must have been law enforcement (I hope) On our arrival, only 1 bathroom/house was available as the other was closed for repairs I would not call them “clean” and there was no hot/warm water to wash your hands Oh, and they had already turned off the heaters in these areas so like you really want to jump in a shower when the temp was 39 degrees?! So very disappointed in this place It would be ok for a one night stop over, but then only if you could get a FHU site (we could only get water & electric) I can’t believe these 4 & 5 star reviews on google I finally found some truthful ones on other camping sites I gave an additional star ONLY because of their location to the metro to ride into DC The campground itself barely deserves a 1-star

Front Desk associate at the park office was very friendly, and helpful I forgot to print out my Due out? page and she even offered me to print them for me They have ice, icecream, and firewood at reasonable price so don’t worry about buying them before coming to the campground

Campground was very clean, and their shower area is superb, and very clean as well The camping site we choose was pretty good, and secluded Everyone who stayed at the park during our visit was very courteous and pretty quiet overall

Clean bathrooms and landscaping maintained well Family friendly- kids and families roaming happily around Full electric hook up but no sewer or water on site

A dump station and water are available but the fee should reflect this Close to Great Falls National Park While the W&OD trail can be reached it’s not easily done (2 creeks with ankle deep water and over foot high step ups) Finally the skate park posted 9:30pm as when skating should end but skating, loud music, screaming and yelling continued far into the night

on things However it’s pretty expensive for not having any hookups at site Only has electric

Friday night some arguing was going on by the skatepark Could hear it where we were The site next to us seemed to think it was ok to have lots of people and vehicles late at night with their headlights on shining right into our RV bedroom Talking very loudly outsideSaturday night took the dogs walking and for safety reasons we wouldn’t go near the skatepark It was dark and i could hear an illegal dump going on at the two large dumpster that are right there When I woke Sunday morning, the mess they made was disgusting and so sad Both dumpsters were filled (had been empty), and broken glass and bottles all over the ground Trash and bags piled next the the dumpster on left Someone left a beer bottle and carton in our campsite overnight Saturday Too much garbage laying at some sites Cups, straws Just no reason for itHad to wait to fill water and dump our tanks at the station before leaving Glad we left when we did The line grew by the time we were done We’ve never had to wait, or see a line form like this before I think the earlier checkout has something to do with thatIt’s a nice place, but we won’t stay here again

The staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms clean and free of bedbugs, the shower was hot with reasonable pressure, and the room AC could create a blizzardThe room microwave is literally from the 1960s, the fridge froze everything regardless of setting, the smoke alarms are missing, the bathroom fan inoperable, the orange juice dispenser at breakfast dispenses only water, the coffee machine would not dispense decaf, and we had to have our room keys reset at least once a day Our room did not have a “Do Not Disturb” sign, and we had to request one

I’m shocked the inordinately squeaky elevator continued to work, but hey, at least it was loud enough to hear from our room all night longIf you want a two-star experience at three-star prices, this is the hotel for you!

Zack McIntyre (McHomeless)

The staff is friendly and helpful and the facility is absolutely “you get what you pay for” As far as space and comfortability options, the climate is well controlled and the room is clean and well kept The beds are comfortable enough for basic needs and the television is helpful enough for basic entertainment purposes, however, a bedside channel guide would be much more helpful

Overall, it’s not the worst stay I’ve ever had but if you’re looking for a cheaper option for a night or two or are in a rush for a room because your trip is taking longer than expected, this is a reasonable able option for sleep and a quick breakfast the next morning

This was the trashiest hotel I have ever been in Drawings on the bathroom walls Broken hair driers

When we went to breakfast there was no food out so we could not eat The front desk offered no help, and was extremely rude Worst hotel stay I have ever had Do not stay here Wish google could allow pictures on reviews This place stinks!

This is a pretty pricey park for a military fam camp at $55/night You’re getting soaked with DC prices The campground is nice, and the sites are fairly long and paved or concrete pads

There is a dumpster near the bath house and laundry There are also trash cans and ash bins everywhere Verizon service was OK and Starlink was solid as there aren’t any big trees around I would recommend going to your site and setting up, and then drive your car over to Outdoor Rec to check in There isn’t a good turn around spot for once you get there if you’re still connected

Rita Frazee

Not the place to stay if you want to be there long term! They will make you move frequently to give your spot to someone who is passing through It is beautiful there but it ruins it when a soldier has to come home from work at least once a week during the warmer parts of the year to move their camper Wifi isn’t great nor is the cell service

Hookups are all the way in front of a back in site which makes most campers need extensions The cabin has a bathroom with no shower

Palmore Family

The campground is very clean with a beautiful view The concrete pads are nice, they’re advertised as level but they are not Love that is it full hook ups

My only real negative is they Advertise that they have 56 spots when in fact most of those spots are reserved by full-timers, Who live in the travel camp year around They all watch the calendar carefully and keep rebooking their spots I was estimate there are over 30 full time families living there I can’t blame them with the cost of housing here
