Not having traveled since before lock downs, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Hollywood, but this place was great! It was clean and unique The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the building felt secure with gates etc I stayed in a budget room, which had everything i needed

It was clean and bed was comfortable There was a small social gathering to meet other guests which was nice! Courtyard was nice Would really like to see breakfast or BBQ in the tiki-garden in the back! I look forward to staying again this summer!

The hotel is really near Hollywood It isn’t far away of Walk of Fame But the location is not so good for walking by foot

A lot of homeless people are living in this areaThe rooms have all you need for a city trip You will invest the money there very well Most rooms have a big bed and a double bed So you can use it with 4 people You also have a little kitchenIn the middle you can park the car for 5$ per day It is absolutely fairI used this hotel with a friend twice At the beginning for 1 night and at the end for two more nights I would book it again!

Red Hot

Cute hotel, absolutely awesome vibes We loved our private room and especially that back patio area It truly felt like I was somewhere else and that completely separated us from the urban jungle outside

Check in and check out was an easy process and the hotel is conveniently located to Metro and the major tourist attractions of Hollywood I definitely look forward to a future stay

I would not recommend this place to anyone FIRST bad thing is my friend had a very inappropriate guy in in her coed room saying and trying to get her to do gross things with him and no one really seemed to genuinely care about her situation Second, They don’t clean well and the beds looked like they have been slept on previously

They also did not give us linens on two of the three beds in the private room and when I asked for linens they gave me a gross dirty blanket rather than a comforter and one sheet also the towels had big holes in them and smelled bad There was very minimal hot water and if you did get hot water it lasted like 5 minutes max I heard other guests complain about this so It wasn’t just my room additionally, SAFTEY and SECURITY was not very good other hostels change the door code every morning to ensure no one has the code from pervious stays or that guests don’t give them out to people who you would not want coming in, or they give you a key card/key but this hostel had the same code every single day which is unsafe and its the easiest simple code The front desk workers seemed like they don’t want to be there except for one guy and the whole vibe is just unfriendly Usually at hostels other guests are hanging out in common areas but they make it so unappealing to come out into the common areas because of how unfriendly the vibe is They told us when we booked that they offered free breakfast but when we got there they were not doing it anymore due to COVID I have stayed at other hostels during COVID recently and all of them still had free breakfast It would have been good to know before booking since I was traveling on a budget The only good thing about this place is in the private rooms you get your own bathroom and a lot of storage for clothes and that it is in a good central location Overall, they need to care more about the customer experience rather than just making money I would suggest they dedicate one of their dorms to an all female dorm too

Very bad experience, it’s very dirty, the towels was covered of black stains the same for the sheets, it seemed that they were Never washed especially the blanket there was hairs on dust etc etc The bathroom was disgusting Like I know that’s not an expensive hostel but it wasn’t clean

To finish it was insecure A junkie was in my dormitory I was very scared And the windows can’t be locked so everyone can come in and stole your stuffsI will never come back again

James Bond

Messy rooms, linen not clean and tv’s don’t work Only thing I liked was the ample source of WiFi but aside from that this place ain’t it Plenty of better hostels in the city to stay at for equal price

Tbh I think day management has something to do with it, because I see the potential it just wasn’t put together properly Do better

The hotel is clearly under new management/ownership which affected our stay along with the remodeling The staff is very green and unknowledgeable The phones don’t work

The rooms are smaller than other hotels in the area I’d recommend looking elsewhere for the price point Perhaps with time, they’ll tighten up their services, amenities, and staff training but I would not consider staying here again

Anthony Sotelo

This hotel is terrible While it has potential, it should not be open during remodeling The bar was not open, the halls smell like mildew and the overall amenities are not comparable to other hotels with similar price points

When booking it doesn’t mention that only 2 floors were available and that the rooms are very tiny We called and left a message to the manager and received no call back No room service unless you ask I highly recommend you stay elsewhere

I reserved a room block at Hotel Constance for myself and guests for my wedding weekend The hotel rep reassured us that the hotel would reopen before our wedding day, however, a month before our event, told us that they would not reopen in time This left us scrambling to find a new hotel

Not only that, Hotel Constance charged us a deposit but failed to return it back to us – nobody is answering phones or emails I am calling on management/ ownership/whomever to return our deposit ASAP

My stay was a little under three weeks This place is a tale of two cities I realized after some time that this location is definitely in a transitional phase

I saw another comment that perhaps it was a different motel before and was taken over by Comfort InnSo let me start with the Positive: The bed is a dream Very comfortable The wifi was perfect Good place to do online work actually as there is a nice desk and comfy work chair Washer/dryer/gym/business center (in lobby) on site Very clean and sanitized The gym had the most essential equipment needed I really don’t think the gym is getting much use anyway so don’t think anyone has to worry about germs The cleaning lady told me they come in and sanitize at 830am every morning Washer and dryer clean and dry perfectly There is a pool, but did not use it Also there is continental breakfast with some basic choices The next day after checking in the parking lot was fully repaved The ladies who do housekeeping are the golden queens of this places Some clean better than others of course, but they are there early keeping up the whole facility and cleaning service is everyday I am always sure to show them respect The price is pretty good but I guess it would be since there is a lot of transitioning going on The room as a whole has luxury style upgrades but over patchwork plaster where there still needs to be some painting done There is an old mixed with new feel But generally the room had a homely feel Microwave and larger fridge was very niceOkay so the disadvantages Like I said the price is good for all that is offered on site, and if you are going to stay now just know that changes are being made The crowd is a mixed bag Sometimes it is very quiet and then at night it can get a little noisy It seems to me that a Code of Conduct needs to be strictly enforced There were a lot of people not respecting rules adults and kids alike I was gone for one night visiting my sister and came back the next night to find that my room had flood and the tub was filled with black water It was also the room below me that was damaged as well Thankfully the worker that night did the right thing by moving me to another room that was very close No issues with the second room Also one night was discounted for the mishap and all was fine at checkout Customer service needs a lot of help Water pressure in shower could be more

Four stars because the rooms, lobby and breakfast room are very clean and modern The hotel has clearly been updated It’s an older place

The amenities in the room are very good I was particularly pleased with the larger refrigerator with a good sized freezer Free hot breakfast is available until 10 am Plentiful hot breakfast sausage, scrambled eggs (probably powdered eggs), boiled eggs, waffles, bagels, bread and a toaster, oranges and bananas The breakfast room requires key entry and is small, so consider taking breakfast back to your room if there are no tables availableStaff is friendly and very helpful

OnlyJadey

This hotel was good for us because the room was clean The bed was very comfortable The air conditioning worked like a charm at 38 degrees Celsius

There was lots of food stores in very close proximity and even a Walgreens The pool was small and had some bugs in it but when it’s that hot you love it anyways The staff were friendly The breakfast was lacking, super small room with only a couple tables, scrambled eggs, tiny sausage patties, cold cereal, tiny muffins, fruit, and waffle iron There is a denny’s down the street

We stayed here for 5 days and did not have one complaint about the place! It’s a small spot nestled between the mountains in Glendale, and super close to the freeway so very convenient A safe place for family, safe to walk as well The rooms modern and clean

👌🏼 Amazing people in the office, and very helpful and accommodating We will be back when we visit LA! ♥️

I would like to recommend this motel to anyone looking for a place to stay around the area They were incredibly accommodating and friendly! The room was clean and comfy, no complaints about anything about the room Everything in the room worked great and had no problems

It was spacious and exactly what we needed We were there for a weekend getaway and spent it feeling like we made a great choice in staying here The price was very reasonable and the fact that it had a gated parking area for the guests was a plus Would very likely stay here again if we come back to the area

I absolutely love this little motel came to LA for a weekend visit and these accommodations were just what we needed We had to extend our stay an extra day and the staff was very accommodating and were able to do so

Nice rooms, clean beds great location and love that its only a few rooms so parking was no issue Will definitely re visit on our next trip

Melissa Lucas

Awful experience There are smoking rooms and non smoking rooms Was given a smoking room

The smell, the touch, and the look was disgusting You truly do get what you paid for – $65 The only bright side was free parking but the moment I walked in the room I wanted to leave immediately The staff was nice but the room made it a terrible experience

Ney S.

One of my top 5 favorite motels! And it’s nestled in my hometown of eagle rock , the room we usually prefer is the smoking room All of their rooms are clean and neat the smoking room never has that left over cigarette smoke smell overall I love ❤️staying at the rose bowl for 3 reasons#1 it’s very budget friendly#2 very very quiet!🤫 (Which personally I enjoy a lot!)#3 the owners are very polite and easy going ( just as long you Don’t give them any problems) 😉

Me and my wife checked in and were greeted by a very friendly receptionist named Michael, who happily answered all our questions about LA and how to get around Our room was spacious and had exactly what we needed The parking was great and the guy who runs it was also very friendly

We saw a few reviews saying the hotel was dated but for a historical hotel it was more than adequate Would happily stay again Thank you for a great stay

Princess Diamonds

This hotel does not look as nice as it does in the pictures online This hotel is not just historic, it is extremely outdated and feels like cheap run down motel instead of a well preserved historic place The hotel does not even have proper heating in the rooms

You are given a small electric space heater to heat your room The bed is not very comfortable and the bathroom is extremely small and cramped To top things of the person at the front desk offered no help and showed no enthusiasm about answering questions about tourist attractions / guidance Even the most basic hotel should be able to do this This hotel was not that cheap so I would have like to seen better service The pros of this hotel is is you do get a nice size refrigerator and coffee maker The room was well cleaned everyday The closet in the room was rather spacious Finally I’d like to say I was fortunate and was assigned a room in the front of the building and got a decent view of the Hollywood sign and Hollywood Hills which was nice

E Robinson

The staff was pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable of the area The vintage architecture, and design principles made the stay very memorable in a city full of hotel options Most surprising was the reasonable price given its vicinity to Hollywood & Vine

… Also I have to mention possible celebrity sightings in the area, due to music stars visiting Conway Recording Studios on the next block over

my man and me JUST LOVE to get rooms here because we always get the same 1 & it costs us no more then $68 – $70 these owners are very picky about how many people and who will be occupying their room while its being rented out for the day/ night check in is at 3pm & check our is at 11am on the nose! trust, they will be knocking at the door, guaranteed! anyways, i always clean the shower myself because once I saw old soap left in the soap dish thats cemented to the wall

i REALLY LOST IT OVER THAT & AM GLAD I FOUND THAT LIKE THAT BECAUSE I HAVE gained a MAJOR germophic awareness & HABIT OF SANITIZING EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM / BATHROOMEVEN THE DOOR KNOBS WITH 75% ALCOHOL WIPES/AS WELL AS THE REMOTESESP SINCE COVID 19 IS GOING AROUNDI ALSO GAINED AN AWARENESS about how unsanitary that was & basically caught on to how the maid just doesn’t care to clean or SANITIZE properly during covid 19 times ESPECIALLYBUT WHAT do you expect for paying the low price here, if thwir isnt roaches then it’s a lazy maid that keeps the price so low! I wish she did her job properly & correctly & most of all EFFICIENTLY so i wouldn’t have to go around sanitizing everything like a nut when i rent herebut oh well that’s pretty much all i got to say about the islander motel in eagle rock! I love the city of eagle rock, by the way& oh yes, one more thing, these owners will NEVER allow anyone to remain in the room without checking out! thats just the way they run their motel business hereNOBODY stays EVER-EVER-EVER ! the place is clear of all guests between 11am – 3pm , everyday! thsy are also pretty nice people once they get to know youALSO, my man constantly has to put batteries in the tv remote, but not the cable box remotei was mad one time when we asked them a second time for batteries because they were dead twice for us & was only GRANTED new triple as one time then told no the second time it happened That was entirely wrongbut that’s what $70 dollar service is to be expected, i have caught on since i motel hop a lotbut choose to stay here because it’s not roach infested, the sheets are clean & the price is right~☆~AUDREY LYNN FEE~♡~
