I loved my stay here I came here to have a mommy alone time weekend I was in the room most of the time

The hotel was quiet It was clean I loved the floors (no carpet!) The water pressure was great in the shower The breakfast area was well taken care of and had lots of options The staff was friendly and helpful The little area with microwave and fridge was perfect for me to keep sandwich stuff and snacks The area was perfect, seemed safe Close to lots of restaurant options (flight deck down the road was great) I really have no complaintsI found the parking to be a little confusing personally And I wish there was a little more light on one side of the room But that is nothing to sneeze at I would 100% stay at this hotel again and recommend to everyone that needs to stay in the area!

I came to visit South Carolina for my boyfriends basic training graduation It was a very pleasant hotel to stay in The room was very very clean except for some spots in the room, which are out of view, so it wasn’t very important

Overall clean room! The floors were tiled so it was easily cleaned which made it even more comfortable during my stay The TV setup is nice it has many channels to choose from along with YouTube It was a decent sized hotel room! The staff were friendly always greeting guests who came in or who were already staying Breakfast was served in the morning but I never had the chance to try it since I was leaving to see my boyfriend I appreciated their service If I ever come back to South Carolina I’ll stay here in the Best western plus Lexington inn Thank you everyone who works here! Made my stay comfortable and less worrisome for me

My overall stay here was nothing short of amazing The staff is phenomenal especially Tiffany!! She went above & beyond for us Always helpful and giving great shopping & dining tips

Although we had some issues with cleanliness & repair management was always on top of whatever issue we may have had Special thank you to Meka (house services) for being so kind whenever we needed anything! If you’re looking for a spacious room here is your place We enjoyed our two bedroom suite w/two bathrooms & full kitchen Breakfast was nice as well as the M-W social hour! Wasn’t happy the pool was operational but it had some repairs in place Be careful going out the traffic is heavy and is in need of a stop light Our beds slept great, complimentary Dove body wash& shampoo products were a plus Thank you Staybridge for an awesome ladies trip this week😊

From reception to culinary to housekeeping to maintenance; this is one of the nicest most accommodating hotels I have stayed in!!! We had an extended stay there for my job and were made to feel like family It was clean, well maintained, and the staff are phenomenal The food was very good and had a nice variety

Will definitely stay there again if my assignment takes me back!!

A reservation does not guarantee a room! Confirm your reservation Multiple times! My wife and I were thrilled when we found a two bedroom suite that would accommodate us, our two year old toddler, and our dog We accepted the elevated price, acknowledging the elevated price to ensure a comfortable and restful night’s sleep for all

It was quite a shock and disappointment for us to discover the day of our arrival that our reservation had been altered our reservation to two separate, non-adjoined rooms, all without any attempt to contact us to alert us of the changeSince we arrived late in the evening, we were unable to speak to a manager until the next day (Friday) in an attempt to resolve the issue Upon doing so, we were offered a partial refund on the room However, when we were contacted towards the end of the day we were informed that the refund would be a small fraction of what was originally offered and, to receive the full amount, we would need to contact the site we booked through After doing so, the booking site informed us that the hotel would not approve the refund and our attempt to contact the hotel directly has resulted in no responseWhile it can be expected that unforeseen circumstances will arise which require both business and customer to adjust, the failure to communicate these changes and the blatant refusal to follow through with the offered partial refund is absolutely unacceptableOn top of this, the indoor pool on premises, which our daughter was very excited about, had an Out of Order sign up all weekend Even when we were assured by the front desk that we were allowed to go in, the pool was so heavily chlorinated that it was uncomfortable to stay for more than 15 minutesThe saving graces for all of this, and the only reasons why this receives a two star review, is that the rooms themselves were very well kept and the beds were comfortableI will not be doing business with this company again in the future based on these interactions

The guy who checked me in was fine No problem Everything is very poor

Pictures do no justice If you don’t mind the smell of weed, people yelling and screaming outside till 4 am ( not including the dog barking all night) the breakfast was okay Very limited Waffles, cereal, a few mini donuts, and coffee The toilet was loose Other than all that Wouldn’t recommend

beastlycharizard13

I stayed here at one point last year, so please pardon the retroactive nature of this postEven for my standards, this place was in dire need of improvement First off, if I had to guess, the pool wasn’t out because of it being the middle of February when I was here, no, it looked like it had been out for YEARS

The bedside phone wasn’t connected to the wall, and by that I mean it looked like the wire had been CUTThe floorboards were somewhat loose as you could slide them around a bitIn fact, it might not be a stretch to say I risked my life staying here, given how the smoke detector was disconnected/opened up I informed the front desk about it and was told someone come and look, but nobody ever did in the two nights I was thereThe whole area is rather grungy looking to begin with, and the clearly decrepit and abandoned convention building next to it doesn’t help mattersSomeone also got stabbed a few doors down right as I checked out Another review I read about this place mentioned a shooting, so you best be carefulOne good thing I can say about this place is how the front desk was open into the night, given how I left my key in the room not just once, but twice!

Was extremely disappointed in the cleanliness of this hotel Our first room we walked into the bathroom sink clogged and full of curly hair We called the front desk and they apologized and promptly gave us another room

Our second room smelled so bad like wet dog and the sheets looked like someone walked across them in dirty shoes The front desk was still really nice and gave us a third room, this one was much more manageable even tho it smelled of weed and wasn’t exactly spic and span On top of the rooms being dirty they had a bunch of garbage bags piled beside the elevator for a couple days The free breakfast was decent but I don’t think they cleaned the floors as it was extremely sticky and dirty every morning Another annoying thing was everyday our room card stopped working and we would have to go back to the front desk to reflash it I would never return or recommend this hotel to anyone Price was good but I have stay at much better hotels for the same price

Renee Hughes

Front desk girl was super sweet! She gave us the advice to check online for a better price and I assumed she was just being nice When we got into our room I see why she told us to check online for the cheaper rate Our room smelled HORRIBLE

This is supposed to be a non smoking hotel but it was clear someone had smoked in the room The floor felt moist Nothing looked like it has really been cleaning There was trash under the bed skirt and under the sink The only plus was the beds were surprising comfortable I checked for bed bugs but I didn’t see any Only reason for the 2 starts and not 1 was the front desk and bed There was also a hole in the hall wall Wallpaper peeling in the room The area also didn’t feel very safe We saw a few ladies of the night Only reason we stayed was because I booked online before seeing the room I will not recommend this hotel to anyone Also they take a 100$ deposit (which is common) and 30$ a night for a small dog or a cat

Kaitlyn Laferty

I would give this place 0 stars if I could Do not stay here We got here and our room was full of black mold all over the ceiling

The bathroom was absolutely filthy as well as the bedding The room next to ours looks as though it had a fire in it Pool was shut down by health department Entire hotel should be shut down! Left within 30 mins of getting here Awful Disgusting

Great stay at this Residence Inn! Dorian was so helpful and accommodating His level of customer service is way above the norm I actually called before booking and he was the reason I booked this hotel

The hotel was nice The AC worked extremely well on a very hot day Comfortable bed, quiet room and good breakfast This hotel checked all the boxes for a good nights rest

Phe Smith

The staff was friendly but I would not stay here again The rooms need to be upgraded and deep cleaned The chairs were frayed and stained while the cracks of the bathroom have seen better days

The room smelled stale so we had to keep the window open to get some fresh air The hot food was good but the fruit and juice were not good There is not enough parking at the front of the building

I actually booked this hotel by accident but I decided to at least examine the assigned room before changing to my original intent As it turned out, the room appeared clean, the bed seemed comfortable, the A/C was working properly, there was a microwave and refrigerator, as well as an iron and ironing board with a new cover — so I decided to stay My experience was great

The motel seemed heavily booked but there was no abnormal noise from all of the traffic The front desk personnel were friendly and I was struck at how much they seemed to care about the quality of my stay I didn’t realize they had a breakfast each morning until I was checking out at the end of the week, but what I saw at that time appeared to be a quality breakfast in the motel dining area In the future, I will not hesitate to use this property again and I want to say thanks to the motel staff for doing such a great job

My fiance and I had the most fun in this room Compared to any of the other hot tub rooms in a 10 mile radius and the pricing of it it is hands down unbeatableThe hot tub itself is the biggest I’ve ever seen

Every time I get enough points from staying at the equality inn on Augusta road or Clarion I always go to this hotel Using my choice hotel reward points

tessa Trammell

It was over priced for quality and they did not honor the pricing I was quoted with choice who does their booking My bathroom had water leaking from the wall into the floor if you ran the sink It is a smoking room and the vent fan didn’t work so you lose privacy leaving the door open to air out

maintenance was supposed to come for water leak and vent fan nobody showed 3 night stay the staff was very friendly except for one very rude man at the front desk We killed 3 roaches tonight We check out in the morning One in bathroom, one by the little by the small couch and one on the lamp shade by the bed It was a quiet stay for a populateded area That was goodWe were assured wifi never were able to connect We were assured there were smart TV’s that we could use our prime and netflix on there are not any smart TVs here, misinformation Front desk blames who does their booking for misinformation I was given the wrong Check in time and advised if I extended an extra day it would be at same rate I extended after my first day at front desk but it wasn’t in the computer so I was thought by other front desk employees to be checking out had to do another reservation even after working with me some it was a much higher price The quiet is all I recommend and the friendliness of staff except one very rude man at the desk and I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast no matter if you show up when it starts in middle or end the lady is sitting talking none of the hot food is prepared and she acts like the world is going to come to an end to provide it, maybe shes a volunteer and we really did inconvenience her Dang she had me apologizing to her for asking her to get food put out very bad attitude The things you fix yourself are available but not the hot food unless you ask her to make it 3 days my husband was able to get one biscuit and one slice of sausage and that was a few minutes after breakfast started So bojangles, he had to buy when he was supposed to have free breakfast available here before he left for work He said she was sitting talking my same experience A guest had to show me how to use the waffle iron and he loudly complained to her that there was no hot food that morning I guess she’s paid to hold conversation I had to ask her to make me eggs she had an attitude about it There was supposed to be eggs sausage and gravy and hot biscuits that morning she was sitting at a table talking and there was 2 biscuits no sausage no gravy at 7 am The service manager gave me a slight discount for the last day stay that is still $20 above what I agreed to before all of this She was nice but no no no never ever again unless someone comes thru in a much better way Still great cleaning ladies just awesome and all front desk nice but one rude and the lazy woman who was in charge of breakfast

First, this is booked by my husband’s company and hopefully this will be the last time we are here because the first three weeks were not greatconsidering the paper thin walls and constant noise along with the neighbors getting high but this time is awful The second room tonight and the place is just ghetto They half cleaned and the beds are lumpy & made without a care looking all used and wrinkled

I’m exhausted after traveling all day so changing from one room to another that’s just as bad- with no cart to carry any of our luggage- is just entirely unacceptable We will not recommend this place and will let the company know never to book here againThe breakfast is awful with no variety and the coffee is lukewarm at best by 6am

Keioshya Brown

When I checked in the agent was abrupt and seemed distracted from her taskshanded me the keys and didn’t say what room I was assigned to or anything of the sort The auditor however went above and beyond to provide whatever the guest’s may have needed

She always greeted me with a smile and let me know I was welcome there I was alone so this was very much appreciated The room was very clean and trendy while the TV was a smart TV that allowed you to log in to streaming services such as Netflix or Hulu Will definitely stay again

Jason Zheng

The house keeping workers are unprofessional, it’s under quality of Marriott brand management I placed the “Do Not Disturb” tag on the door handle during my stay, the housing keeping person till knocked on the door to check if I was going to checkout, my sweet dream was broken at 8am, I told them that I would check out at noon since I had been woken up The worst part was that envelope I told them to not bother me until my check out time, they still knocked on the door to rush me checkout at 11:15, this is unacceptable

I will never come back to this place again, and continue to post low quality review on internet for other guests caution, not being victims of worst hospitality experience

We stayed on north side and we heard a few sirens when we first got to our place of the 4th floor We thought we might hear that all night long but we both didn’t hear any street noise all night It’s a give and take being close to freeway

The room is very nice The only area I dropped a star was the bathroom I don’t know why the builders didn’t put fans in bathrooms Without fans, you end up with more wear in the bathroom Compared to other hotels on our cross country trip, this was one of the better bathroomsFood/breakfast was great Bacon crispy, nothing was empty at 9am And they had someone servicing the area as neededThe stairwell didn’t have a/c, but was clean Shows the that hidden areas are getting cleaned Someone here is managing very well this hotel Thanks! We’d stay here again

Nicole O

Overall, this is a very nice hotel, but it could be better Just left Saturday morning The breakfast is excellent

The pool should be cleaned by staff more often We went in it a couple of times and we had stranger’s hair wrap around our arms and legs (gross) and there were bird feathers and bugs in the water The only other thing I had an issue with is housekeeping We were told housekeeping does not clean the room until the third day of your stay, and you had to request it They should come every day unless you have the do not disturb sign on the door Or at least every other I’ve never stayed anywhere where I had to wait until 3 days into my stay and then call and request housekeeping Location is very convenient and the bed was very comfortable

DAVIS ELITE ATHLETES

We stayed at the Wyndham location and the stay itself was good 2 issues 1 was handled the other was a pure lie1

Sheets had a NASTY stain on it (Manager on staff was awesome and helped us)2 We were literally In the pool and were told they needed to add chlorine and we could go back within a few minutes 2 days laterpool was not open The pool was the main reason we choose this hotel because of the 114 degree weatherIt’s unfortunate but the rate wasn’t adjusted Such is life

Our family attended a wedding weekend in Columbia and we booked 3 rooms at the Chestnut Cottage Bed & Breakfast From the moment we stepped into the parlor of this historical home we met the owner Mary Sparrow and was immediately delighted we had selected this remarkable B&B The house is loaded with history, beautifully appointed furnishings & the best of charm! The guest rooms were large, beautifully decorated with small touches like flowers in our room, bottles of water, chocolates, etc

but my favorite touch was the delicious breakfasts served every morning gathered together in the dining room Another favorite was the front porch swing and the rocking chairs As you know, a swing soothes the soul and the porch was magical at night! If your plans take you to Columbia, just call Mary she can tell you everything about the history, sites and dining in the area – she is an encyclopedia of knowledge My family can’t wait to visit Columbia and enjoy the pleasure of what the Chestnut Cottage B&B adds to ones life – Culture, Comfort & true Southern Hospitality!

The most beautiful place we could have stayed on our overnight trip to Columbia Mary was so accommodating and made our stay here wonderful! The property is so rich in history and adorned with beautiful antiques Our room was clean, spacious, and even stocked with complimentary waters! Patticake, the resident cat made our night in the cottage even better! I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone passing through or planning a stay in Columbia

It is also within a block from the Township Auditorium, making our trip to the concert we were attending a breeze Thank you for the lovely time, Mary We will definitely be staying here again

casey roux

Had a great stay! We stayed in the Garden Suite room and it was a perfect space for us for one night! Mary had the room ready to go for us right when we got there After we left, I had forgotten my glasses and called Mary and she was super helpful and found them for me and sent them in the mail She was so sweet and awesome! Would definitely recommend!

First off, the room There were used drinking straws on the floor and toothpicks on the edge of the tub Clean rooms are not a priority

The hotel advertises a hot breakfast It is a small tray of scrambled eggs from a bag I asked if their were any plates and was told no I asked if the juice machine had any juice and was told no When I spoke to the Mgr about breakfast, he said it was no longer being offered even though it is clearly stated on the website I responded that I was paying for the room as advertised He said it was the owners decisionStay here if you are desperate There are multiple other options in the area This is a low end, low quality hotel that caters to workers traveling to the areaFor $100 a night, the cost is not worth the room/services offered Not even close

The location was conveniently located next to some nice restaurants and stores The staff was very nice The food was excellent

The mini store in lobby was way over priced The hallways were hot and have this mildew smell The room itself was decent The whirlpool tub was nice being a tall guy it’s not easy to find a tub to take a bath in The shower could use some help water temp is awesome but that shower head sucks no pressure and it sprayed everywhere except down The bathroom gets hot very quick with door shut due to no working vents Toilet had some flushing issues Electronic door lock stopped working properly The room had some nasty stain brown stain on the floor that was sticky to touch after stepping on it Pillows were very nice Bed was horrible felt every spring in the mattress my wife having back problems this bed definitely didn’t help Woke up so sore and unrested Found cigar clippings all over the floor next to the bed

Bad experience from the beginning Drove 3 hours to stay one night, as my son has a tournament for Taekwondo, and we couldn’t even park b/c there was an event at the hotel leaving NO parking for guests The receptionist ignored me for at least 2 minutes after I arrived at the desk

There were NO other guests at the desk, and she appeared to be on her phone She knew there was no parking, but was basically like “I have no solution for you” Rooms smaller than expected, stains all over the floor, and the bed’s sheet have holes All the money we pay, they should be able to afford new sheets! I should have brought my own sheets! Probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again Too expensive for poor service, no parking, and dingy room Disappointed!

Wow I understand $95 bucks a nights for basic, but this is worse Room stinks of what I can only hope is old cigars

Holes in my curtains When I fall into my bed all I feel is springs Springs you say? Surely that can’t be true But it be true Horrible mattress and pillows worse Surprisingly, the hot breakfast is decent Avoid this joint unless desperateyikes

The room seemed cleaned and it was a nice size While i was visiting family the sink in the bathroom backed up and flooded which left the floor wet as well as under the floor boards When i returned i alerted the night time clerk and he assisted with towels

He stated the hotel was at it max and i could not be moved The sheets had a stain which i had to put towels over to sleep i check out of the hotel before my original check out time I contacted the hotel manager Monday morning and she stated to email her the photos of the room and i did I followed up twice which i still haven’t received a response I booked through a 3 party vendor so of course, they don’t care because they’re only getting a percentage of what i paid which is probably more than booking through hotel myself The location of the hotel was the best highlight, close to highway, across the street from the mall and on the same lot as walmart and other brandstore

Where do I start Ok We got there for an overnight stay, we were impressed with the nice lobby and polite staff so we paid the $165 for a room

When we got to the room, we opened the door to a smell of stagnant, moldy air, a huge puddle of water in front of the fridge, torn curtains, a broken side table, broken headboards, questionable stains on the couch, damp towels and bed sheets, and an OdorStop machine running on the deskAll three of us started coughing uncontrollably, presumably because of the mold, and decided this was not going to work We called the front desk and were able to switch roomsThe next room, while much better, still smelled of mold, had a dirty towel in the bathtub, and the plastic coffee filters provided didn’t fit the coffee makerAgain, staff were very nice and accommodating which is the only reason we give this place a 2 star For $165 for a 12 hour stay, we’d expect a much better experience than what we got This place needs some serious TLC

My husband and I stayed a night here for the Elton John concert I was very impressed Felt like a newer building and had multiple entries that only opened with a room key so it felt safe

The staff were all very friendly and helpful The entire building felt clean and welcoming Our room was small but based on the photos I knew that going in The bed was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was clean and organized with towels set up and easy to get to I loved the dispensers for the soaps and shampoos The shower was beautiful and everything just felt nice The breakfast was so much better than expected You had your basics of yogurt, an apple, bagels and cereal, but they also had oatmeal, eggs, sausage, pancakes and English muffins Would absolutely come here again Easy check in and even easier check out Well lit parking lot and felt like a safe area over all Thank you so much!

This is the second Tru in which I have stayed Much like the other Tru, it is decorated in a modern minimalist style Rooms are very small but clean and with comfortable beds

The lobby has a billiards table and an array of little nooks for reading or doing work Staff was very friendly and the hotel is located near the zoo and Saluda Riverwalk Only reason it is not 5 stars is the room size This is Columbia, SC, not Manhattan, there is no reason a modern hotel room should be this small

DO NOT STAY HERE We arrived to find out the pool was closed and there was no ice They suggested my disabled mother and I walk up a hill with a dangerous path to buy our own ice at the convenience store next door

I asked “if one of us falls, who’s responsible??” They immediately backtracked on that suggestion Then we get to our room and the A/C doesn’t work and the volume on the TV doesn’t work We had to switch rooms Then we get to the new room and the TV doesn’t have all the channels that were advertised This place is not very clean either You do not get your room cleaned unless you request it There weren’t any phones in the rooms (they said they were “upgrading”), so if you had an issue, you had to walk to the front desk or call the motel from your cell phone When I asked to be compensated for all the nonsense, we were denied that I was also told that I should’ve called ahead to make sure those things were available Really???? They claimed the issues are listed on their website Well, I pulled up the website right in front of them and showed them it wasn’t there Thats when they backtracked AGAIN and said “oh, it shows up on the website AFTER you have made a reservation and have a confirmation number” What a joke Again, find someplace else to stay By the way, I saw two other people leave to find another place We would’ve left if my mom wasn’t disabled

Service was great! My plans changed at the last minute, and they changed my reservation pretty easily When I arrived, the first room I was given was a little dirty, but they changed my room free of cost, and pretty quickly I felt very safe and the complimentary breakfast spread was really good

Easily accessible by cab and the Comet bus 801
