This was our host hotel for our motorcycle club national annual event and they were more than accommodating and the rooms were clean, spacious and on point Only complaint was the fact that there were no microwaves, those came at a $5 a day extra cost, but we survived just fine and they were more than understanding of all the bikes in and out day and night Good central location with plenty close by in walking and driving distance and a 24/7 Dennys right there in the parking lot as well

Plus we were only about 20 minutes from Santa Monica Pier, so that was amazing Very pleased with our weekend stay, checked in Thursday with ease and out Sunday with the same to smiling, helpful staff

BEWARE—— BED BUGS!!!!! 0 stars if I could!! Stayed here from out of town for a last minute family event The hotel has a bad crowd hanging around & homeless The areas aren’t clean, trash everywhere- but that’s not even the worst part

THEY HAVE BED BUGS! BEWARE!!!! I’ve never dealt with this anywhere else in my life, and that says a lot because I’m from Vegas! I had no clue what this was I took her to the ER Had to foot a bill, and medication for her! We books through a 3rd party website so the manager Anthony wasn’t much help, other then saying ” I need to investigate this ” – I will say as soon as we refunded form the hospital I demanded a new room & that they did However I’ll say when I said they had bed bugs they looked *unsurprised* and switched the room However that room also had bugs! I would have switched hotels but I already spent over $50000 at this one and didn’t have the time to do that due do time restrictions I kindly asked for a refund for every night expect the first We will see how that goes!!

There is nothing special about this hotel; but critical reviews do not match my experience The room and hallways were clean, comfortable beds The bathroom is small but clean and everything worked

The area represents the standard ethnic area of Los Angeles The price is very low for this part of Los Angeles Excellent access to the metro The parking fee is normal for the city One caveat: breakfast is not available and zSi can’t say any nearby options yet

Xandra Bolotin

I would not recommend this hotel They are unfriendly and petty And yes, they charge you $10 for parking without letting you know beforehand and their parking isn’t even secure

The rooms are subpar The two women working at the front desk were the worst I believe one was the manager I’ve never had this experience at any other Hilton before except for this one and I will definitely not be staying here again I did reach out to corporate and unfortunately they sent my complaint back to the manager at this hotel who called me and instead of resolving my issue, kept telling me how I was wrong and refused to help Nothing positive worth saying about this hotel I highly recommend you stay elsewhere

William Butler

First there was the parking fee that I was not aware of until I checked in My corporate website did not show they charged for parking, but other hotels in the area showed their charged parking with the fees If I had known they charged for parking

I would not have made a reservation there I woke up in the morning with bug bites I moved the bathroom trash can and found packaged medication behind it Walking down the third floor central hallway caused the floor to move underfoot and make noises Not very conductive to feeling like the floor was solid underfoot Originally reserved a 3 night stay, but I checked out after the 1 night I cannot say that I would stay there again

Came up to attend a wedding down the road in Malibu Good clean hotel, seemed full and busy Good location near the 101 Fwy and next door to a Trader Joe’s Market

Checking was easy and was great by a energetic employee who made sure everything was taken care of The room was clean and kept up nicely Had no issues with the room or amenities The hot breakfast buffets typical 2 kinds of ready made omelets, good size sausages, home fry potatoes, cereals, oat meal, fresh fruit, breads, yogurt, coffee and juices I would stay here again

martica davis

Stayed for a wedding in Malibu Amazing front desk staff! Beautiful grounds, outdoor patio, and small pool area Buildings were fairly easy to navigate, but main interior areas could use a deep cleaning, as could the rooms

Our room (Building #2) was in desperate need of updating and a deep cleaning, but rooms for others in our party (Building #1) were more updated The linens could also use some updating they were quite rough Our stay was extremely quiet, which I enjoyed The location is great and the parking was good I feel like the price of our room should have been $50-75 cheaper for it to feel like good value Okay place to stay if you need access to Malibu

Hope Emry Ortiz

We were very happy with this hotel It was very clean and the room spaces were great The check in process and staff were friendly and helpful

We appreciated the free breakfast, though I think it will be better once the buffet reopens post-COVID We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub, which were very comfortable and clean The room was also very quiet, especially considering we were right over the freeway

It’s a reasonable price for such good location, it’s closed to the sea, 5 minutes walk and you can reach the beautyThe staffs are very friendly people, they make me feel very welcomed and supported, I wanted to extend my stay for one more day, but accidentally made another reservation online in a different room, they resolved it very quick and smooth without asking me to move to another room, I really appreciate thatWhat I personally don’t really like is it’s not a tradition hostel, not many social scenes are going on, more like a private hotel room but is forced to stay with other three people, most people are friendly thoughI was expecting more conversations, but it seems like many guests don’t really want to engage with you, it might be a bonus if that’s what you wantthey definitely have clean and comfortable bed

Vid

I have spent here 3+1 nights My experience was surprisingly good The staff was very friendly and helpful, the epuipment of the room was enough, the breakfast was okay

The night was a bit noisy because of the club under the hostel, but it was not so disturber The beach is very close, the Santa Monica Downtown is on the bus line number 1

DeShon Jackson

I stayed here for a week or so I had gone to the hospital for a while and my things were left here and was told by staff, counter desk and manager that my stuff would remain in storage I moved to Texas and stuff was still there so I called weekly to hold my things which they said they would for $3 a day

Well I get there and my stuff is gone Nearly 4k of jewelry among other expensive items The front desk Blue who I had talked to multiple times said my things were there and the manager was charging 3 day and he notified them Well he decided to not help me with the situation because of how angry and also rude I had became as the woman manger decided to not allow me to speak my side, shut me down, treated me like dirt and it’s all recorded She deflected the blame off herself and her staff who Blue her minion who pretends to be neutral or nice was not helping though he was the prime person in communication and handling the matter just was a cowardThough I can admit I wasn’t the nicest if they had any people skills or cared at all they would have understood my frustrations and didn’t Did absolutely nothing but make me feel worseAt this point I have no issue with a civil lawsuit with this company and the staff that runs this place I wasted time and money flying back to Los Angeles for these things and was told lie after lie and was treated like dirt over itIt can be a cool place or last resort to be but be ready for them to throw you under the bus when they have an issue

Great location and views but WOW its EXPENSIVE We treated our selves to this park for 3 days and the location is good, near the beach and about a 20 min drive to Venice, west la, 30 to Hollywood (factor in traffic) we had partial ocean view but it was still nice

We paid almost $1000 for 3 nights which was too pricey

Worst hotel/hostel experience in my whole lifeIt’s relatively easy – this hostel did not honor our reservation and did refuse us to sleep in it – after a strenuous talk with their manager they completely refused to take the charge back from my credit card – now I will have my credit card issuer to take it backWould never ever stay there again!

No hot water I asked several times about the lack of hot water and I was told to just let the water run for 5 to 10 minutes I felt bad about wasting so much water but let it run and it never warmed up

When I complained at the front desk they told me they couldn’t do anything but they would have management contact me Of course management never did contact me I felt a partial refund would have been appropriateThe room itself was clean and efficient A little small, but not an actual issue Parking was tight, but was able to park in a covered spaceNot sure I’d recommend it based on management and the lack of hot water, especially not at the price we paid

PET OWNERS STAY AWAY, Poor Customer Service! This place lists as pet friendly, but I did not receive a welcoming experience by one particular receptionist When I booked, I confirmed with the initial receptionist that I would be bringing my small dog She confirmed this was okay and sent me my receipt

However, when I was a half hour away on the day of check-in, there was another receptionist who called me to say the hotel had made an error by booking me in my suite, and there would be an increase in daily pet fee I explained that my dog was an ESA, certified by primary care MD, hypoallergenic, well-behaved, and traveled and flew with me everywhere She was unapologetic, and rather than argue with her, I agreed to pay the difference as I was limited in options to book elsewhere because of the same day arrivalThe suite in itself, had some cleanliness issues – the hot tub had what appeared to be blood so was unable to use it, there was a 6 inch strand of blonde hair (I have black) on one of my towels, a used sponge for cleaning dishes, balcony that was filled with balls/sticks from the tree, and the heater rattled which needs repair I unfortunately had a poor experience with the one receptionist so was unable to request for these to be fixed When I explained some of the problems at check-out, the receptionist immediately compensated me to my original pet fee and stated she would look into the other itemsAll in all, save yourself the headache, and book your stay elsewhere!

My husband and I were just looking for an affordable clean place to sleep/shower and this little hotel was perfect When you walk into the room you can smell it’s been cleaned It was small but comfortable

Loved how it was in walking distance to everything We also had breakfast included at their restaurant and that was good as well We had an issue with our shower and they switched us to another room without hassle Could use some better sound proofing but overall a great place to stay

It was great! I met great people there and I made some friends Great location and very close to the muscle beach Better than the hostel I have stayed in Arizona

I would have given a 5 star if there was no bed bugs I got bitten on my neck, head skin, arm, and they are very itchy Hopefully, they won’t infest in my house That was the only downside to this place

Mathilde Cusson

I stayed there 2 nights but almost didn’t come back for the second one John was very nice during the tour of the location but it was never precised that they have rats/ mice on the premise and one of them got me up all night chasing it away I ended up in the morning tired, With a hole in my bag that the rat managed to do to reach through my stuff

When I talked to the person in charge in the morning, she didn’t even look at me as she was on her phone and finally said « sorry we should have let you know » which is very limited… I will not recommend !

When we arrived the hotel was undergoing renovation which made us a bit skeptical But the moment we walked into the lobby the experience was beyond exceptional The staff was super friendly & treated us with professionalism but like long time friends

The rooms were clean & parking was great The free breakfast was an actual breakfast!!!! We couldn’t have been happier

Such a great place to get away with your family Animal friendly they have designated areas for your pets to do their business Kids had a blast having their own room

rooms are very spacious and modern bathroom is big perfect lifting and glass shower doors staff super nice and helpful house keeping is also on top of their game Pool was being remodeled at the time of stay but they have a great seating area and huge lawn with tropical flowers to take amazing pictures also breakfast is served I recommend you get the burrito with sausage and potato kids loved the eggs and oat meal orange just is good too A little on the higher end of pricing Hopefully in the future they might do an awards program to ear points or discounts for returning visitors I like how it’s close to a grocery store and gas station it’s right next to the freeway but you couldn’t hear the cars or trucks go by due to the tall trees There is a huge ditch so I would recommend keeping your pets in a leash becuase mine almost ran away and fees in to the ditch you would have to can 911 to help your animal out but other than that my kids loved staying here and so did the boyfriend I highly would recommend this hotel to anyone trying to have a local getaway

Stayed there end of February into March for 5 days We definitely underestimated this place Perfect location for us

Our drives were on average ONLY 20-30 minutes from everywhere we wanted almost To all the popular places Staff were extremely nice, helpful, and no complaints Ability to have our room cleaned everyday Valet parking was quick and worth the money Even late at night when everything was closed a staff member opened the snacks for us Only complaint was that our balcony door was broken and didn’t close all the way and we were fading the 405 so it got loud but we managed to fix it a little Told the staff and they are aware Definitely staying next time we visit LA

We stayed here for one night at the end of May 2022 The hotel has a nice contemporary feel and the pool and fitness area are lovely I wish we had known about the freeway that runs next to the hotel before we booked because it’s really noisy

There was no soundproofing against the road noise We asked to change rooms and were told they were fully booked so they gave us earplugs! Also interested to read about the complimentary valet service on here because we were charged $34 and it was obligatory

Surge Vargas

The stay was not too great I had requested a room with a glass door for the shower I was given a room with a current

When I called to request a changed of room they did not have any rooms of the same type with glass doors even though I was reassured there was before checking into the hotel The current was kind of dirty, so I did not take a shower The room was kind of dirty The bed was really comfortable though, so that’s a positive I probably would have left, but I had an event I had to go to When I was checking out I was getting charged for their “complimentary” ride I was charged twice for a ride to the gas station When I brought it up I was told that it was more than 3 miles The gas station is across the bridge The charges were taken off, but I had to wait for 2 people to review the charges who initially brushed them off I would not stay here again and would not recommend anyone to stay here There are cheaper alternatives that do not embellish, falsely advertise “complimentary” items, and at least compensate for the inconvenience The 1 star is only for the bed and because I could not give a 0 star review

I have stayed at this hotel numerous nights since November of 2021 as my company opened a new business nearby Overall, the staff is incredible and my stays are pleasant I would agree with all the reviews that this hotel front desk is really bad and lacks serious customer service

Very rude, poor phone etiquette and make you feel like you are a severe bother to them I do however want to give a HUGE shout out to Jeffrey as he is the ONLY employee at the front desk with proper customer service and excels in delivering a excellent experience! I now tell all my colleagues when booking or needing assistance at this hotel to only ask for him Congrats to Jeffrey! You are a rockstar! The bartender is also by the the best! Your lucky to have these two on your team! For the rest of you and your management team…step it up!Coming from an Ambassador Elite

So we are at the beginning of our stay and already some disappointment I requested extra towels three times and it took me walking to the front desk to retrieve them myself There are 4 of us in the room and they had given 3 bath towels

1 of which had a dried blood stain on it Plus side there is breakfast regardless if you stay with Townsend Suites or Courtyard The pool is quite popular, so be prepared to find a small crowd there I will update my review along the way

R. Hoffman

This property is split between two different brands – Courtyard and Townplace I’ve stayed at both and prefer the Courtyard by far 2-star rating is due to the lack of cleaning on the Townplace side) and having to babysit my Bon Voy account to get credit earned with my stays here

The beds are comfortable and rooms are nice size The property can be loud if staying in a room along the highway or north side of hotel (animal shelter next door) It’s convenient to the 101 as well A bit isolated in terms of restaurants nearby LA Fitness is next door but gym is doable at hotelRecommend NEVER booking the Townplace side My only attempt to stay on Townplace side included not just 1 but 2 dirty rooms Ultimately I requested to be moved to Courtyard side, which the front desk accommodated after I showed them someone’s dirty towel was under my sink (and let them know I didn’t have any clean towels which I realized when I was getting out of shower so had to use the one and only washcloth to dry off) The room switch apparently caused issues crediting my prepaid stay for Bon Voy points I’ve been trying for 25 months to get it resolvedLocation is super convenient to my office otherwise I would find another Marriott property that is more consistent and doesn’t hassle me for Marriott pointsUPDATE: As you can see the property GM responded and claims my points were added That is absolutely NOT TRUE As of 8/13/22, I am still missing credit for the 2 nights I stayed on the Courtyard side of this property I have spent way too much time groveling for points that should be automatic RIDICULOUS!!!

This is a unique place nestled in Topanga Canyon, about a 10 min drive to the nearest town, and 30 minutes to the beach Driving around here can be kind of difficult/stressful if you’re not used to mountain driving The roads are steep and curved, and not well maintained, so it’s quite bumpy

You definitely want a working parking brake because some parking spots are on a steep incline Also, the area is not well lit at nightThe hotel itself is beautiful with good views of the countryside There are some outdoor porches you can sit on and sip tea in the mornings Very peaceful and tranquil There’s a state park within walking distance with some trails, but it’s not leisurely walking We brought our trekking poles and were glad we had themThe rooms were immaculate and cozy However, the sound insulation is not great at night We could hear people talking and walking upstairs I’m a light sleeper so I found that a bit bothersome The rooms don’t have individual AC so we woke up hot, but opening the windows helped cool it downThe breakfast was very tasty and homemade We enjoyed meeting the other guests at the hotel and had some intriguing conversationAll in all, it was a good visit for some quality time as a couple

My wife and I stayed here on the night of our wedding We did late check-in, which was convenient The room was clean and pleasant, the architecture of the buildings was attractive, and the breakfast was yummy

However, the owner, Warren, sat with us during breakfast and we had an unpleasant conversation with him Simple chatting would have been great, but he kept steering the conversation towards the perils of collectivism, the dangers of immigrants, and the merits of social darwinism I don’t demand that my innkeeper have the same ideology as I do, but my wife and I stayed here with the intention of relaxing, not to be sermonized at or provoked into a fraught political argument

Well, it will be a source of talk 🙄(Original)オーシャンアベニュー沿いサンタモニカピアからマリーナデルレイ方向へ車で1 〜2分(混んでなければ)サイクリング中の現地女性2人が写真を撮っていたので話しかけてみると、イーグルスの歌のモデルのホテルだとの事で一緒に記念撮影しましたが、後から調べてみると、あの名曲のモデルは無いそうで…まぁ、話の種にはなりますかね🙄
