We chose this hotel because the location was convenientThe breakfast was very good

The room was clean and the bathroom very clean The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve had in a hotel But the main reason I’m giving a five star is the staff was outstanding When we left I left two good shirts in the closet 100% my fault Getting home I realized my mistake and called them The shirts were at the front desk and I Asked them to mail them to me if the cost wasn’t too high as I live 4 and 1/2 hours away The manager Ash is mailing Them to me and he is covering the cost I insisted I pay for it because it was my mistake He was more insistent that he would take care of it at no charge I highly recommend this hotel for the cleanliness and outstanding staff and management

Clean, comfortable rooms with a great staff! This is our go-to motel when staying in Northwest Indiana Welcoming lobby area where everything is spotless and tidy Halls and vending areas were well maintained

Our room was very clean and refreshed daily during our week stay A/C unit was one of the quietest we’ve experience in a long time No grumbling and rumbling every time it turned on Room lighting was good, towel and linens were more than nice, very good mattress and room seating No complaints at allFront desk was always friendly and helpful When ever we saw staff at the desk they always took time to smile and say hello Jay took care of us at check-in and was extremely kind and outgoing, a great personality for this position We met Tina taking care of the breakfast area and had a nice conversation with her, very personable Breakfast always included hot items like eggs and sausage/bacon as well as a waffle maker Plenty of fruit, cereal, yogurts, muffins and always presented well Area is kept spotlessAfter driving 10 hours to get home to GA, my wife realized she left her prized make-up mirror behind in our room She contacted Ash the next day who quickly confirmed the oversight on our part and was more than happy to box up the item and send it to our home So extremely kind! I may be missing a few names (David and Kendall? and others) but everyone was so niceThis motel may not a fancy pool but it has everything one needs for a comfortable stay, the most important to us is being a kind, friendly staff, clean, comfortable accommodations and a nice breakfast to start the day It’s in a great area for restaurants and shopping, pretty much anything you need Well lit parking area, always a safe feeling Will stay here again in the future, high recommend you give them a try

Have never been Room was very nice and clean Nicely decorated

Shower was very nice We asked for an extra flat sheet that was never brought to us Our room had service rooms or something above They were very loud above us in the morning, and it actually woke us up when we were looking forward to sleeping in They kept dropping stuff above us and were very loud Our room was in front of the building near the busy street which was very loud They need to invest in better windows and sound proofing

Aura has always been a great spot to stay You can rent for a couple hours or for a night (must rsvp for overnight stays) I like that there’s different rooms to choose from and their reasonably priced

This is a Lovers Hotel, definitely meant for couples It’s a great place to take your significant other for a nice relaxing night together Though you must have a membership to even rent these rooms (M: $50, For a year)

J.O.B Telinfo

Aura really needs to upgrade all rooms especially Tryst room I got my package as advertised However, the room was not sound proof, no soap or conditioner in the shower dispenser, blood on the remote control which is a major negative!!!! Holes in the walls and etc You guys better do something because things like that will cause Aura at this location to be shutdown

I will not return to this hell and I want my refund for the blood on the remote control

It wasn’t excellent! It was beyond expectations!!I’ll definitely go back when I’m in town to visit The Managers name I can’t remember but she was Amazing It was around Easter of 2022

See I was visiting my daughter, and I was coming from Kentucky It was still early in the day but I was tired from driving So I called the hotel to make a reservation and not only was I accommodated I was able to check in early and was approved a discount! That alone speaks volumes The room was clean and sanitized The bed which was a King sized envelopes you especially with the fluffy pillows! I wish I had more thumbs so I can turn them all up! Again you’ll always have my business!

The reviews for this hotel are FAKE! The room was not thoroughly cleaned There were coins on the floor so it couldn’t have been vacuumed, stains on the walls and curtains, grime on the shower walls, and the bathroom tile was disgusting There was cereal in the drawers

There was a foul smell as soon as we walked in that we attributed to the water in the bathroom The toilet did not flush right and it backed up after about 3 flushes – when we called down they said not to flush toilet tissue down the toilet because it was not biodegradable There was no one on duty until 11pm to help with the plumbing, my husband requested a plunger and the front desk told him no So we waited, no one ever called or came In the morning my husband went to the desk in person and they said maintenance was already gone but they did give him a plunger at this point Any area outside of the main lobby had a strange/dirty stench The walls are also so thin you could hear the neighbors coughing like they were in the same room I’ve stayed in better motels This location hasn’t been updated in years You can plumbing damage on the walls Comfort Inn should be ashamed of itself We were in town for my father in laws funeral and because of booking through bookingcom, we could not get our money refunded/afford to go elsewhere I sprayed Lysol consistently, purchased travel pillows from the store, and made the best of an already stressful situation

I had the best experience at this hotel more than any other First I was greeted by the friendly front desk staff as soon as I walked in Demetria from house keeping went above and beyond making sure all of my family’s needs were met

Rooms were clean and comfortable Rooms and hall ways were very quiet Thank you Demetria for the amazing hotel experience

Honest review: it has been a great spicy stay with my significant other! The pros of this location- private entry, easy access & carrying luggage to room, beautiful rooms, clean, elegant, and the spa jetted tub is to die for So are the showers I wish they had microwave because once I get into this hotel, I plan to not leave & enjoy the beautiful hotel

The atmosphere around you feels like you’re ready to get it on! They sell s$x toys at front desk, and other amenities The beds are comfyThe negatives/cons are… my bed was awfully squeaky the shower head isn’t burning hot water in my “aspire” room, also neighbors!! What really takes away from the experience is hearing outside the doors, the cleaning ladies I could hear everything they were doing, as if they were right outside my door Also, it’s awfully close to the airport, meaning you constantly hear the plane leaving and going every 5-10 minutes, so everything was amazing but… Noise!! I want to fully feel/be secluded & it was weird spicing things up hearing conversations & people passing the doors like they could also hear what goes on in the room

JayNicole Discovery’s

Bed made, bathroom clean with plenty of dry towels The room needed to be wiped down It was so many webs and cob webs in the room

A spider🕷crawling from the glasses 🥂 There’s no one to essort you to your room to explain how things work Was very helpful with calling the room because my trunk was open Need more customer service training on how to greet people It’s close by a local fast food restaurant

Lu Lu

I really enjoy coming to the axis on Pulaski,it’s a little getaway for my partner and I,but our recent visit this year was disrupted by some loud rude banging on the door at about 5 am And it’s not the first time we’ve had this happen,we return cause we love the tub hoping it will be quieter and more relaxing just keeps happening at odd times of the night I reached out to let them know and was told to provide my number for a follow up call and never received a call

It’s absolutely beautiful and our room was perfect It was beautifully decorated and updated, clean, and felt like home Caryl was also very nice and, her communication was great We will definitely stay here again when visiting our son at school

The Hamlin House in Hyde Park is, by far, our favorite Bed and Breakfast in Chicago! It is everything we needed in a home-away-from-home, and more! From the moment you approach the home, in the safe and beautiful neighborhood just a couple short blocks from The University of Chicago campus, you feel at ease It’s a stunning, classic mansion, with spotless hardwood floors and bright natural light throughout the home Over the past couple of years, I have stayed in various rooms, the Green Room, Blue Room, etc

And, every single room was so beautiful and clean The owner, Caryl, is the most hospitable, kind, professional, and lovely host of any Bed and Breakfast we’ve stayed throughout the country She gives us all the privacy we need, and yet, she is so quick to respond to any of our questions and/or requestsIt is without any hesitation, that I would recommend The Hamlin House in Hyde Park to any family or friend looking for lodging in Chicago

Marilyn Moy

This is our second stay at Hamlin House and we are already booked again for the spring! The location is excellent ( bus to Midway Airport, Metra to downtown Chicago, and steps from the UChicago campus The rooms are a unique way to experience the famous architecture of Chicago They have all the amenities of home with plush white towels too! The breakfast of croissants or fresh scones and fresh OJ is delicious

Talking to the other guests is always a highlight of our stay Finally, Caryl and Philippe go out of their way to make sure our stay is comfortable! They are such kind and interesting people! If you’re lucky to have a room available when you book, you should definitely stay at Hamlin House!
