We booked a block of rooms with this hotel for our wedding weekend on the North Fork of Long Island We worked with Suzanne Lincoln who was SO incredibly helpful in arranging the block, sharing information, answering questions, and assisting with last-minute requests All our guests were very happy with their stays and it was nice to be able to gather with other guests in the spacious lobby, at the bar, and over breakfast

We would absolutely recommend this property for groups or for family travelers One thing that could be improved is the layout of the rooms There was no closet (which for a wedding with lots of things to hang was challenging) and the room arrangement was a little strange Also, we were staying off-season and it was very hard to find food, coffee, lunch within walking distance of the hotel The hotel restaurants are either not open off-season or are closed from Monday-Wednesday which is when we were there There are very limited take-out/delivery options in Riverhead You would need to drive to get food, which might not be ideal for everyone But, honestly, all the staff at the Hyatt were amazing and so great to work with They were patient and helpful and we would definitely return and recommend it to others

The pool area was very nice with the patio Loved every bit of our trip , I would definitely come back & refer to a friend/ family GREAT JOB STAFFF!

This is our second time staying here, Very clean and comfortable staff are friendly, I’m staying here for more than a week so I wanted the top floor they have 4 floors they gave me the 3rd The people above us you can hear every footstep Very annoying epecially they get up so early and I have to listen to them walking back and forth

This is not a cheap hotel why can’t they build better floors so I do not have to hear someone above walking back and forth Rooms are very clean comfortable beds mini kitchen which is great Bathroom clean but a bit tightAlso the breakfast was Mediocre Whose idea was it to put whole-grain waffle batter? Really?? Maybe let’s have a choice? Breakfast could be better weak coffee It’s a fairly new hotel but I noticed some wear and tear already from my stay a year ago Bathroom faucet very loose bathroom door lock broken Next year when I come back into town I may think about staying here againRequested the top four I

The room was good, the staff was friendly the breakfast was above average and had many choices My only complaint was the aggressive manner in which they try to force you out of your room in the morning We attended a wedding nearby and obviously wanted to sleep in a little

The cleaning staff used a card key to enter my room at 8am after a quick knock and we were in bed Thankfully I had locked the safety latch and then we went to have breakfast around 9am and the staff was waiting outside of our room and asked are we leaving?? We replied no we are going to get breakfast and then put the do not disturb sign on the door out of fear of being evicted from the room This was just unnecessary in my opinion Check in for the next guests is not till 3pm This should not be my inconvenience to even think about the logistics of how they will clean all of the rooms in time, meanwhile 11-3 all rooms are vacant I would not stay here again unless I had to I believe that this hotel could do a little better even though they probably get by with the steady stream of business from local vineyards and wedding venues

It is gone downhill since last year we stayed there One of there elevators wasn’t working upon checking in, we realize that we didn’t have any blackout curtains in out room We notified the front desk and they said they would send maintenance in the next morning

I had to call again that next day to make sure that someone was going to come before they left for the day Maintenance had to hang something to black out the room for night time but then we weren’t able to have any natural light for 6 daysThe curtains weren’t working at all in our room Went down to the front desk one morning and to get some extra towels they said they would have housekeeping bring them up to us and they never did had to go back down again, and we had only use housekeeping one time the whole stay Breakfast was good but you have to get down there early Pool was nice! Customer service wise, the girls were great however there was an on duty manager that you could tell hates his job (Manager On DutyNathaly Joya) Husband had a not so good interaction with him Wouldn’t pay that much to stay there again going to stay at one of the other hotels in town the next time we come

Nugget Queen

First night was great! Quiet hotel and great breakfast Saturday morning! Saturday night wasn’t so pleasant, Girls Dance Team or whatever checked in and it was incredibly noisy and loud then They were running up and down the hallway screaming and just acting like it was a playground Didn’t get any sleep and Was hoping to enjoy breakfast but again the girls dance team ruined that as well

Average and clean hotel with pleasant staff Major complaint is that the Hotel has its main floor reception area bathroom locked and my 75 year old husband had to walk to Starbucks to use a bathroom The reason given “due to Covid” doesn’t make sense since they have an open seating area, breakfast which is included, dining area and indoor pool all open

Just not the bathroom

Dana Olszewski

We never even stayed in the room it was so bad it smelled and everything was very sketchy at check in There was smoke smell and marijuana in the room and coming from the other rooms was partying I was told I still had to pay even though I was not sleeping in that environment and no other rooms available

I switched to a new hotel bc it was so bad The security guard at the front did nothing about the parties and left when I was complaining to the front desk which seemed very odd I was told I could not speak with a manager that they could only be emailed Worst experience ever Was in the hotel maybe 15 minutes Something just was not right

Tara Flaherty

Avoid this property at all costs! Filthy with the most sketch staffThousands of hotel nights and this property is hands down THE WORST!Staff rude tooConcerning activities at this property

Nice, spacious, comfortable rooms with nice amenities Loved the separate work / sitting area that is separated from the bedroom Also liked that the toilet was separate from the bathroom

Beds and pillows were comfy and soft…made for a good night’s rest Front desk staff was super friendly and welcoming Breakfast was great and breakfast staff were very kind and friendly too Overall a great stay…highly recommended!!!

Sarah Young

I had an amazing time here at Springhill! The staff is amazing especially Tom from the front desk! But everyone was super nice and Friendly The rooms are cleaned everyday (Unless you don’t want) plenty of parking

Breakfast is basic but hot and delicious I would recommend everyone to stay here The only disappointment was that the pool was closed due to construction

Valentino Tartamella

The rooms are nice and clean, as one would expect, and the hotel features a tiny pool and fitness area for hotel members The complimentary breakfast is more casual; there is little hot food, one waffle maker, some pastries, coffee, and juice You have everything you need to have a nice stay, and the staff here are very friendly, but the reason for my low review is you’re paying premium prices for an average experience

Wait for some discounts to come and then reserve a night here

We had an amazing long weekend! We were married at the bath and tennis in 2001 and hadn’t been back since! Everything has been newly renovated and you can’t beat the location! The beach was so nice with great service setting up our lounge chairs and umbrellas We also enjoyed the cocktails at the tiki bar! We had the ocean front room, we had our own deck with lounge chairs and a table which was perfect to relax in the morning and at the end of the day! We will definitely be back!

I stayed here last month for a wedding and could not be more disappointed in the behavior of the staff—specifically the front desk attendants and another man who I believe was the catering manager They repeatedly and LOUDLY talked about my group and I behind our backs in the hotel lobby all because we asked about the possibility of an early check-in If you had traveled out of state, took an early train, arrived within 3 hrs of the start of the ceremony, and had nowhere to get ready, wouldn’t you inquire about any available rooms as well? They acted as if it was the most absurd request they’d ever heard and then proceeded to mock and insult us after we left all while one individual from my group was in the business center within earshot of every word they said

The catering manager was the nastiest, he was extremely loud and borderline misogynistic towards my all-female group I couldn’t believe someone in the hospitality industry would openly disrespect their guests in a public lobby like he did (Later, at the reception, he constantly avoided eye contact with me and my group—it was so funny) As soon as they realized the person from my group had heard everything they said, they overcompensated by being overly nice, eventually allowing us into our rooms early, and even complimenting our outfits It was completely transparent but honestly kind of hilariousWhile I am grateful they allowed us to get ready for the wedding in their public restroom, I will not forget how uncomfortable their hostile attitudes made me feel I wouldn’t stay here again; the rooms aren’t even that great—definitely not good enough to warrant that kind of attitude among the staff

John Barrow

The room has been redone recently Looked great before, looks amazing now! The catering manager (or maitre d), William, has an excellent eye for detail Took great care of our clients

The staff is professional and friendly and made sure the guests were well tended to As an entertainer at this venue, I highly recommend it to brides and grooms seeking a wedding venue

We called and drove in at the last minute Erin made sure everything was ready for us and even had someone personally greet us near midnight The rooms are comfy, cozy, and well appointed

The place is very clean and the staff couldn’t have been any more accommodating or helpful if we stayed at a luxury hotel with a concierge service We will definitely become regulars!

Amanda Frino

My boyfriend and I stayed here over 4th of July weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay Our room was nice and clean, with a private bathroom Peter, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly; he gave us great recommendations

The inn is around the corner from Main Street with restaurants and shops We would definitely stay here again!

Kenney Myers

My communications with the owner started off really well I must say They were super responsive and honestly we were off to a great start I arrived late and they did provide me with a late check-in (thank you)

However, there were some negatives The main thing is when I arrived (late at night) the keys were there but when I went to the room it was totally unlocked I’m not sure the lock worked at all It’s an older place so just be prepared for that (it may be what you are looking for) Lots of creaky boards and interesting noises for sure There is a lot of construction in the area as well so be sure to have them describe that well for you especially if you are arriving after dark

I am staying 2 nights here I give the hotel workers a 5 hands down The corporation I give a 2

I am writing this review because I can see that the hotel workers are doing a great job, but the corporation leaves them with few resources The hotel workers were excellent, kind and helpful The issue was there was a leak in the ceiling in the breakfast room When we arrived at breakfast I sat in a chair and it was soaking wet I could not see the wet place because it was a fabric color that did not reveal the wet I went and changed and ate breakfast One sweet hustling breakfast attendant was there I did not want to interrupt them, so I moved the chair and got a new one Then I started getting a drip, drop on my head and shoulder I looked up and there was a dripping vent over me I went to the front desk and told the woman there She asked me to see the breakfast attendant I told her the attendant was very busy (she was hustling as the only person working breakfast) and maybe they could get someone else She said yes, again, very apologetic and helpful So we switched tables and ate On the way back up to the room I let the woman at the desk know I had moved the chairs and there was a puddle on the floor I seriously would have mopped it up if I had a mop 🙂 Clearly there is very little staff I know this is happening all over I feel very bad for these workers they need more compensation and respect I thanked the front desk person for doing all they could

JD Roy

This Hampton Inn location is close to a shopping center with several restaurants The rooms are clean and the employees are courteous Overall its a nice place to stay

Two minor things to keep in mind There is a $10 / night parking fee Also, it is right next to a main highway Neither of these things are bad, but something to be aware of when you make your choice of where to stay

First time visiting Port Jefferson, came across this gem of a B&B, everything about it is delightful from the accommodations, to the amenities, to the service, to the location Could not have been happier with my stay!! I hope to return soon!! Thank you Rebecca & Andrew My only recommendation is to have the grounds manicured, the lawn is looking a bit unkept

I stayed for one night for a wedding occuring at the hotel The staff was welcoming and kind, however, aside from nice front desk employees, there were too many cons to make it worth the absurd priceI booked a room and they did not give me the block price because I called 20 days from the wedding

I was told the group discount expires a month prior to the wedding and I should have booked sooner Okay, fine The 1 night stay was $328 including taxes Okay, fineWe had no washcloths in the room They did not have air conditioning on in the hallways It was very stuffy and downright hot The walls were paper thin and I could hear every guest nearby coming and going My $300 room had a view of an enclosed corridor There were no chairs in the room with two queen beds The toilet paper was the cheapest stuff on earth The toiletries were no more than dove body wash bars Breakfast downstairs was sufficient with good portions and good service but was overpricedI feel like this hotel absolutely jacked the prices for guests of the wedding, failed to honor their discount rate, and lacked basic necessities in the rooms

James Williams

Being an IHG customer for over 15 years I’m used to all what IHG has to offerSo with regards to this holiday inn I would give 4 stars mainly surrounding the pricing which is really high considering I’ve stayed in both the Intercontinental Hotels for cheaper in (could of been out of season though) Manhattan Even so the reception were very helpful, kind (even though the first day I was very jet lagged and I wasn’t firing on all cylinders) and professional

Rooms were comfortable with a nice bathroom and good working ACI’d recommend for a short stop over

Kathleen Corbisiero

This was the second time we have stayed here overnight and we will continue to choose this HI for future visits to Long Island The location is conveniently located between the north and south shores, easy to get to, and the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner The staff are all kind and courteous and the atmosphere in the lobby is very comfortable

The rooms are very comfortable and have great hot showers! A+

Just did five nights and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay Friendly service, clean, comfortable rooms (esp the beds) and a chill vibe They have pleasant, mellow live music in the evenings (maybe only weekends), a nice pool and a tasty free breakfast

Location is great for exploring the north and south forks of long island Plenty of good restaurants in the immediate area, although the restaurant on site is quite good This is our third stay and we’re already looking forward to coming back next summer

Henry Peterman

Disappointed with my stay IHG listed Hotel Indigo as part of their premier hotel category It’s modern design left much to be desired

Our room was in some disrepair and did not meet the description presented I regularly use Holiday Inn Properties in my travels and found this to be subpar in comparison to their other regular and budget properties I would strong advise those who choose to list this property as a premier property reconsider this classification if other properties under this label are in a similar state The staff was friendly and helpful and was the shining part of my stay It would be hard for me to consider staying at another Indigo property

Once we arrived Elouise made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay Easy checkin and checkout The room was immaculate, spacious, pretty decor, stocked with great essentials, centrally located to all the hot spots We went on the most popular weekend of the year(Labor Day Weekend) so it was a bit pricey , but it is normally more moderately priced

Was looking for a comfortable somewhat private retreat in the very busy Fire Island Pines and found it here at Pine Bluffs Our suite was Apartment A Clean, quiet, comfortable bed, air conditioned, Cable TV, great rainhead shower

However, the best part of this spot is the upstairs pool area and the roof deck with a hot tub and excellent views of the Atlantic Continental breakfast was well conceived and the all day snacks and wine at cocktail hour a welcome addition to the amenities for this place Jim and James, our hosts were gracious, nice and helpful in all of our needs and the other guests at the B&B were cool, interesting and private as well A wonderful spot to spend a few days in a beautiful place

Nicholas Veneziale

We were looking for a place just for the weekend as most places rent by the week Despite being out to the Pines for years, never knew about Pines Bluff Have to say, it was a great find and a great stay

Hosts are very nice and accommodating, even upgraded us when our room had an issue prior to our arrival They also gave us an adjacent room since it was vacant so our party of four would be more comfortable Great place to stay, definitely recommend

Richard Garnett

Nice relaxing place and wonderful location! Beautiful views from the hot tub at night, and during the day, and well anything time! Jim is a wonderful host, check out his site for amenities and hospitality (food, snacks, refreshments) Coby, a Boston Terrier with a lovely character and disposition was my therapy while on holiday The place is nice, I’ll come back for Coby! If you’re not an animal person, he won’t bother you

I’ve stayed at a different place each time, this is at the top of the list

Great location! Hotel was clean, the pools were great and I loved the outdoor lounge areas Rooms were clean Used the couch pull out bed and called the front desk for linens

They said that they had to check if they had any linens left for us to use The room description said that linens would be in the closet but they were not there Would’ve been upset if they did not have any linens for us to use but luckily they did Breakfast was good

Robin Lamb

We stayed at the Marriott with our 2 small dogs last night We came to the area to visit our child who is away at college The hotel was perfect! It was very clean

Even though the place was sold out, it didn’t feel crowded or loud We were able to get breakfast without difficulty It was very reasonably priced There are lots of food options nearby The only thing that would make this pet-friendly hotel better would be a gated dog walk area, since the hotel is located on a busy highway Overall, we look forward to staying here again the next time we visit our child

Ricky Long

We enjoyed our stay very much! Staff was courteous, and rooms were clean Abundance of parking The complimentary buffet was top notch

There were to-go boxes ready for guests to eat in their rooms Hot food was individually packaged and constantly topped off by the staff Can’t say enough good things about how clean and well run the breakfast buffet was This Residence Inn is right next to the Tanger Outlet However, in order to get to the outlets, we drove down the road, and then back around We would have walked it, but there’s not direct path across Old Country Road It’s very close to Lavender by the Bay and Windy Acre Farm We definitely would recommend Thank you for making our first overnight stay with our babies as smooth as it could have gone Will be back!
