We loved our stay here The staff was so friendly The room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and we loved the whirlpool tub, it was huge and felt more like a hot tub

The breakfast buffet was great, probably the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had and the views were incredible If we ever come back to Salt Lake City we will definitely be staying here again!

Jim Tinlin

We love the Crystal Inn Downtown Salt Lake We’ve stayed there several times and the staff is amazing I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Scott the front desk clerk

He is so informative and such a nice guy The assistant manager Ben went above and beyond to make our family’s stay enjoyable The rooms are always clean and tidy The morning breakfast is great I enjoy the cleanliness of the hotel and love the indoor hot tub and pool during the winter I have recommended this hotel to many of our friends who’ve enjoyed their stay as well

What an awesome day at Crystal Ranch First of all they return calls! What a concept in todays’ world Secondly, the property and venue is outstanding

Lots of fish, tremendous lodge, excellent vistas and great hosts Lane was an exceptional guide who adapted his style to my experience He knew where the fish were and how to entice their interest I highly recommend this experience! Jon… Kokotrout

We have fished a good portion of the Western US and even abroad and you truly do have a little slice of heaven there in that part of Utah It was even better being able to have the place to ourselves! You guys have done an amazing job on everything… The attention to detail on the lodge and property is 2nd to none Kacie is the BEST… that place would be the same without her… I’m sure you guys already know that… her ability to do it all, attitude and overall demeaner were awesome and her meals were nothing short of fantastic

She had explained all the work you and your brother had put into the property which made me appreciate the property and what you guys have accomplished even more Thank you, Dave We will definitely be back again, possibly for a fun family trip for a few days

Jason Parker

We loved the property It was expansive and beautiful We saw plenty of deer, a variety of birds, and even a couple of elk on the last morning

The breakfasts and dinners were fantastic! Cornish game hen, fillet mignon, and beef wellington for dinners Omelettes, blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup, and french toast for breakfasts Taking lunch to eat out on the river was peaceful and so enjoyable The lodge is nice and we loved our windows looking out over the ranchAnd the fishing was probably the best fly fishing I have ever experienced! I was a little concerned that in May we wouldn’t catch many, but we caught a lot, and it was awesome! My wife came with us on the river and loved being out there and was happy I caught fish Eric was our guide, and he was super patient and great I was like a little kid with him undoing my snags and tangles all the time He never grew tired of having to tell me the same things repeatedly One of my favorite things was that on the first day we caught 5 trout species! We caught mostly browns, a rainbow, a cutthroat, a brook, and a tiger trout That tiger trout was the cherry on top! The other thing we loved was the educational aspect Eric taught me various techniques Most of the time we fished with a dry-dropper and were catching them on the dropper We also fished with just a dry fly and caught some that way Then Eric taught me how to use a Euro-nymph rig I had a good hit on that The other technique Eric showed me was how to fish streamers I had so many hits, including some really big fish, on the streamers I finally caught one on a streamer and was so happy! Fishing on the ranch was simply amazing

This is an older Hampton Inn It desperately needs some attention Not in the best part of town

No refrigerator or microwave in the room as normal in many Hilton properties I was scheduled to stay for 4 nights I moved to another much better Hilton property for the same rate downtownI would recommend this place only if you need a room to sleep in or it is ski season and the rate was good Definitely better hotels in Salt Lake City to stay in

Stephanie Nightingale

Absolutely horrible customer service! An older woman’s husband was dying in the hospital and the hotel wouldn’t allow her to extend their reservation because he wasn’t at the hotel – in person! How in the world would he be able to do that? The woman offered to pay cash but the front counter shooed her away When she asked if he wanted her to sleep in her car, he just shrugged Appalling customer service

All staff were the same None seemed to like their jobs and several talked badly about new management DO NOT stay at this hotel

E. Jeffrey Hill

Because my wife is allergic to dogs and there were no rooms for her at this hotel because ALL rooms are pet friendly We asked to change rooms, no dice

even though the parking lot was basically empty We asked for a refund, no dice because we paid ahead I have stayed at Hilton properties for 40 years This has never happened before, and I hope it never happens again Or I may move to Marriott!

Amelia Manfredo

The employees are great but the GM shouldn’t interact with customers – inflexible to the point of rudeness, though that is often more a corporate issue The rooms are cleaned and well maintained but the building is poorly designed – especially for an efficiency; you can hear casual conversations in neighboring rooms and enjoy the scents of whatever they’re cooking/eating if it is remotely spiced Shared smells are not ideal in a pet friendly hotel

If you can get an isolated room with no out of the ordinary needs or issues, it’s worth saving the money over Marriott/Hampton/Hilton efficiencies, otherwise the headaches here are worth the cost of an extra star hotelKey Tip: kitchenette does not come with utensils, pots, pans, dishware, etc If you’re going to be cooking, that alone might make TownePlace a better choice

Jerry Hardway

Pretty good location with easy access from the airport and interstate Staff is friendly and the hotel is generally okay The place is dated and it does show it’s age to some degree

My wife and I stayed two weeks here and it definitely wasn’t the best stay we ever had but it was acceptable They have a standard continental breakfast every day but no waffles or pancakes The rooms are fairly nice but nothing special Our microwave was old and the platter no longer rotated making it hard to evenly warm up food Our fridge didn’t have a freezer section but was cold enough to freeze water unfortunately There is also no temperature adjustment on said fridge The room did have a nice couch, chair, and table to allow for working from the hotel room The hotel internet was acceptable but we did bring a cellular hotspot to work from The bathrooms are small but look okay The shower was cold about half the time so I assume the water heating boilers cannot keep up with the typical demand from the guests Last but not least our sheets were dirty when we got into the room I definitely wouldn’t stay here if you want luxury but it’s cheap and doesn’t have bugs so it’s not all bad

Amber Dailey

Check in went fine Got to our room, it was decent Left for our concert then got back around midnight

Went to go to bed and pulled the sheets down to reveal 3 long hairs and 2 short hairs in my bed Called the front desk and they said they could move us to another room It’s midnight I’m not going to move to another room in the middle of the night after I had already unpacked all my things Had to be demanding that they come and make the bed with new sheets They finally did and I could finally go to bed Also when I finally laid down you could hear someone stomping around upstairs until 3 am I will not stay here again Not just the hair but the fact you can hear others in their rooms The manager gave us $25 off our stay I guess something is better than nothing but we will not be staying here ever again

Gabi German

Customer service: I said “good morning” or “hi” to more than 5 front desk employees and they didn’t say back All of them standing next to a “be kind” sign I found it sarcastic

Good location, easy access to train and restaurants all around itClean and confortable

We loved staying here! Fran is the sweetest, she made the most delicious breakfast and took our food allergies into consideration, plus her home is amazing and has so much historyWe stayed in the Cowboy room in the bunk house, it was well worth it for the extra privacy The bathtub fits 2, and the outhouse bathroom was a fun touch

The fireplace kept the room cozy warm, and the bed was comfortableThe home and decor are definitely older and well loved, and that is part of the charm Fran gave us a tour of all the other rooms during check out, and we will definitely be back!! She is a sweetheart and loves sharing the history of the home

Nancy Gerber

Very romantic location The beauty of the house outside with the yard that pulls you back in time The inside of the main house has elegantly decorated rooms that made me not want to leave

The kind hostess did all that she could to make us feel welcome and comfortable It’s a great spot to land and be able to forget ab it the outside world even when you are outside in the beautiful yard because it feels so isolated from everything We loved our stay The only drawback was we could have used more pillows and a better source for cooling down the room after we had the fireplace on for too long

Victoria Simpson

My husband and I stayed here for a anniversary We stayed in the Blue Lagoon room; Fran, the owner of the b&b, is very kind and thoughtful The home is very tastefully decorated, on theme with the victorian era, and our room felt very cozy and comfortable, it even had a fireplace! The owner made a delicious breakfast from scratch and then gave us a fascinating oral history of the home! One thing to be prepared for, the rooms have great large tubs, but you may run out of hot water before they are completely filled

Queen

We love the anniversary inn! We booked the English Cottage and loved it! The service was excellent the whole time I enjoyed the cookies upon check in, as well as late night snacks brought to the room, excellent prices and you get 2 of everything Breakfast was great too! The room was cute and the tub and shower were very nice

However Everything could have been more cleaner or replaced Such as tub and carpet Everything was well worth the price and we are making a thing every year!

Brandon Patterson

We stayed in the Presidential Suite The fire place was amazing, but is turned off during the summer months The bath tub was huge and awesome, especially the way it turned into a shower

My favorite part was the balcony It was huge and had an amazing view! We have stayed at the Romeo and Juliet and The Egyptian suite, those were also good, but not as cool as the PresidentialA few words for the management The walls are thin so you can hear everything happening in the hallway The breakfast was not that good, but the presentation was great The pillows and the mattress were horrible My wife and I are in our 20’s and slept horribly They need an update to that bedding and that would help a lot Would still come again, but would come more often with a nicer mattress I suggest you bring your own pillow and blankets to be more comfortable

Sean Carter

It’s pricey but it’s a one of a kind experience, at least without going to Vegas Buyer beware though, not all rooms are created equal and I highly suggest touring them before booking Favorites of ours include the ever popular (and easily the coolest room we’ve ever stayed at) Romeo and Juliet, Tuscany, Jungle Cruise, and 49er suite

Romeo’s retreat was fine but Phantom of the Opera wasn’t worth it and happened to be next to the workers office or something and they were quite noisy Breakfast has gotten a bit better over the years but really isn’t worth the price For the money you spend this location could certainly do better as far as breakfast Still, we’ll likely be coming back several times I’m eager to try out treasure island

Location isnt super close to much Service was above and beyond and helpful Only reason for the missing stars is because you can hear everything in the rooms

We stayed here one night before flying out and stayed here the night we flew back in two weeks later We left our vehicle here which was in one piece when we came back However the first night our room was next to the exit side door and next to the stairwell You Could hear everyone going in and out the door, anyone going up or down the stairs and any conversations in the stairwell The second stay they put us in a room right by the elevator It was the same thing again You could hear anyone getting on or off the elevator Just wasn’t ever quiet which made it not very relaxing Besides that, the rooms were clean the beds were comfortable and the staff was lovely

Mike O’Carroll

Nice clean room Staff was friendlyThe breakfast service was really bad

We arrived Saturday for a funeral Sunday morning there was nothing in the hot food section Bagels and muffins looked like leftovers from the day before Monday there was 1 dried up omelet and a few potatoes Tuesday was better with breakfast sandwichesI spoke with the manager, Sydnee Shiner, she politely explained how everything went wrong with someone getting sick She apparently had no backup I was informed that breakfast is complimentary so if you don’t get it that is OK She emphasized complimentary I will remember that if I want to stay at another Fairfield Inn

Viktoriya Ivanova

Location is great, very convenient whether you need to get to the mountains or downtown and is close to the interstate The hotel is well maintained and the room was clean, staff was nice and they had hot breakfast My problem with them is they let people pay cash for the hotel (which is my understanding against Marriott brands policy)

The issue with it that dangerous criminals can be staying in the same hotel with you I found this out during my last day witnessing police arrest a group of people (one of which escaped in the car) I didn’t ask what they were arrested for but as police moved their cars so I could get out, one of the detectives asked me a few questions and told me the people they arrested paid cash to stay there I view this as a safety concern

The swimming pool was super freezing cold even though it’s indoor Keeping those towels stocked for the pool could use improvement as well More than once I’ve stayed here and same issue with pool temp and towel stock

The breakfast served is amazing, its the best I’ve ever had with selection of choice and hot served items However, the flashing light on the 2nd floor by the stairs was flickering on and off like that the last time I stayed there over a month ago Worst thing to say about this stay is that the elevator was out of order and it’s the only elevator in the hotel, it was out of order the whole week stay That was ridiculousness for those whom have multiple luggage or medical limitations to take the stairs I like the large bathroom and the room set up design I appreciate that the staff mind their own business and not pry into everything I’m doing and the guest I have At some places I’ve stayed required my guest to check-in and have limited time frames that I can have guest, so thank you for that privacy courtesy

McKenzie Schaffer

There was mold and broken wall next to shower Towel rack was broken No remote the TV and the replacement remote from the front desk didn’t work

The leather chair arms were ripped and extremely worn The bed was off its frame – shifted to be 6-10 inches off its frame to the left The refrigerator was enclosed in a boxmeaning the unit cant do its job and keep anything cold The heat has to go somewhereThink it’s more than reasonable to fix these things before you charge guests $200+ for a room Especially one with a broken wall with mold growing over the shower!

Daljit Singh

I stayed here a few nights ago The hotel was very nice, room was super clean everything is up to date The lobby is very clean as well

The clerk who checked us in her name was Bansari she was very professional, very outgoing and definitely good at her job She is the best asset this hotel has We will definitely stay againJust one thing we did not like the chairs in the breakfast are very low

very clean rooms with a full size refrigerator and freezer a full 12 cup coffee pot with coffee provided and paper cups i didn’t look in any of the cupboards because we didn’t cook in the room there may have been porcelain coffee cups as well along with plates and silverware but I am unsure we only stayed one night and was our 1st time staying at a myplace

Bed was comfortable everything was new and clean we definitely would stay again

Kyle X

The hotel and room it’s self aren’t bad, it’s just sketchy They have an extra $100 deposit fee at check-in which I didn’t see posted anywhere but right on the front desk Cool, we paid that and stayed there for 3 nights

The last night we came back to the hotel a little late and after making it all the way up to our floor and room, the keys wouldn’t work We went back to the front desk and they acted like they didn’t know we were in that room still and we had to argue with them for the keys to be reprogrammed since they had shut them off All of our stuff still in the room, and they were trying to deny us access to the only beds we have at 1 in the morning Over $400 for our stay (not including the $100 deposit) and I’m in shock because I’ve never even heard of a hotel doing this I planned to come back and use this hotel often, but not after this incident This made me feel really unsafe, and really unsure about being able to leave my items in the room when I leave to do things If they’re going to cut off my access to the room, who may have had access in between?

Nicole B

We booked through a reputable third party service and the staff told us there were no rooms available when we arrived Multiple other people in the lobby who booked through other services were also told their rooms were oversoldWe requested a refund and were told that we need to get one through the third party service

Then we asked if we could get documentation from them stating they didn’t have a room available to provide as evidence in order to get our refund The immediate response to this was “I don’t have anything to give you”When new guests showed up to check in, the front desk person proceeded to tell us to sit down instead of helping us resolve our issue We were repeatedly brushed off when we asked for updates I realize the staff member was dealing with a stressful situation but she was unnecessarily rude I can’t speak to the quality of the hotel itself but the customer service left something to be desired

Nice looking from the outside but they cheaped out on the thin walls & floors Do yourself a favor if you stay here and only stay on the top floor The people above us apparently had a child’s “birthday party” from 12pm-10pm

We called around 8pm because we could not take the banging and jumping anymore We were told they should be finishing up soon 10pm comes around and the noise has not stopped I mean this was so loud I thought they had to be doing this on purpose there is no way people normally stomp like this for hours Called the front desk again and was told (with an attitude) that she would call them Finally it stopped around 11pm The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the sheets felt old and scratchy The room & bathroom were clean and the room itself was very big and spacious This place has a lot of potential but it seems like they cheap out on the important things I do like that they are dog friendly & the location was good for us to get to snowbird WARNING: The staff & most of the clientele were not wearing masks, If you feel safer with masks this is not the place for you!

Cesar Ladron De Guevara

I will give this La Quinta Hotel the maximum starts Here are some remarks, clean, well illuminated, modern design, good customer service, room service every day no BS Special remarks, quiet place!!! Recommendations: need more work on the breakfast, it is always the same and over greasy

Excellent for families, an exceptional place if you are working locally and you want a place where you can rest and have a pleasant time

Amber Regan

We stay here about once a year just to be closer to some activities This time, we stayed in room 218 on 5/6-5/8 very close to the elevator Not only were the walls and ceiling incredibly thin and the shutting of other residents door’s loud enough to shake our door and wake us up at 6am every day, but our door didn’t fully lock

Upon leaving the room, we would have to pull the door for it to shut all the way also which didn’t feel very safe considering my husband was the one to always remember to do thatWhen we first arrived, there was a used cleaning towel on the couch and a child’s snap-braceletThe dust in the room was almost unbearable, specifically on the desk I would leave my iPad there for the day while we were out and about and it was sickly coveredThe room in general has several damages The water pressure was weak in the showerWe enjoy staying here but this visit wasn’t the same as all our others We didn’t change rooms just because we were out all day anyway This room needs attention and we are disappointedThankfully, service at the front desk is always amazing and the employees are incredibly kind

I didn’t like the hotel, there is no free parking, no breakfast, I had to slam the door so it could close every time The shower was clogged up, the pillows were old because they didn’t keep the shape, the light fixture in the bathroom was rusted, the valance on the curtain was falling, furniture was old, bedding was stain They claimed the pool was heated which was not true

Also they don’t have housekeeping If you are used to someone making your bed, getting you clean towels and taking out your trash, this is not the place You have to put your trash outside of your door and ask for everything else you might need but they didn’t tell us that when we checked in To top it all off they don’t have late check out We paid a lot of money and it was not worth the price in my opinion I paid nearly $1,800 for 2 rooms for 5 nights and they couldn’t accommodate for me to check out 1 hour later in one of the rooms It was just 1 hour Some staff were friendly The only good thing about this hotel is LOCATION !!! There is a few hotels around the same area with more amenities so next time I visit I will look somewhere else to stay I feel robbed for the price I paid

Chayla Teske

Didn’t enjoy that we had to pay for parking

$10 per night per car Must have missed that in the description Hotel is a little run down Receptionist was nice A light breakfast would be nice, muffins or something on the goMake sure to put the do not disturb on your door Even though check out is 11am, room service woke us up walking into our room around 830 Doors have large gaps at the bottom so we could hear everything going on in the hallway Kids running, the ice machine running We woke up a few times because of noise in the hallwayThe only plus about this hotel is the close approximately to city center Temple square is right there, the tram is across the street, City Creek Mall is a block away

Maxwell Krem

Stayed 4 days Check-in was easy, and all the staff were very friendly There is no complementary breakfast

Bathrooms are a little bit small but functional enoughThe exercise/workout room has treadmill (was very fussy), a couple elliptical machines, and a set of free weights: workout options are a bit limited The room and bathroom were cleaned well enough, however On the positive side, I thought the staff were very responsive, and the hotel is very close to the light rail and the convention center

This bed and breakfast was perfect for my wife and I It felt like home rather than the very generic sterile hotel The home was beautiful and really showed the greatness of a home built almost a hundred years ago

It was very comfortable and quiet The staff was friendly The breakfast was better than any free breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel My wife and I went just to have a small getaway and this location was just what I needed It will be on my list of places to recommend and to return to in the future I suggest the French toast for breakfast, it was amazing

Yes Yes and Yes I stayed here for 4 nights with my boyfriend and I have to say this is so much better than a hotel The service was amazing and the rooms are sparkling clean

The breakfast was the best food we had in Salt Lake (Try the lemon ricotta pancakes and the stuffed waffleso good )Coming back each evening felt like coming home The staff and super friendly and seem like all around good people Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome If we come back to salt lake we will definitely stay here again We highly recommend Inn on the Hill

We stayed at Inn On The Hill to celebrate our 20th Anniversary It was so fun to experience the history of the building, and we loved the quiet & peaceful atmosphere, even though it is really close to Downtown Salt Lake City We stayed in the Carriage House, which is a small detached building behind the main Inn

The breakfast in the mornings was delicious and all the staff were great! Probably not the best place to bring small children, but for a couple’s getaway I would definitely recommend it!

The rooms aren’t too fancy, and it doesn’t have the amenities of “typical” hotel

but the employees are great and the location can’t be beat if you need to be near campus, the hospitals, or the cancer centerA nice quiet place to stay

I have stayed with this hotel for over 15 years off & on when my daughter has treatments @ Primary Children Hospital & The University of Utah I made a hotel reservation months ago for us to come again The hotel staff made arrangements for wrong day

For Aug 16 not the 17th When I received email and saw wrong date I called to resolve the problem The gentleman that answered phone was very rude and disrespectful I asked to speak to manager and was told he was the manager Well to you sir : how you became a manager is beyond me I’m a single mom traveling with a sick child and making arrangements months in advanced for you to tell me the day before our arrival there is nothing you can do and it’s not your problem Thank you for hospitality and understanding
