(Indoor restaurant)Food 68/10 prime rib special was great, shrimp tempura was fun Crab cakes were packed with crab but could use some better breading

Drinks 5/10 had one send back Not sure they are using fresh citrusAmbiance 6/10 we were placed in the back room due to a late reservation Felt far away From everyonePrice 5/10 reasonableStaff 8/10 apologetic, sweetI’d go back to drink at the pool bar and listen to live bands on the weekends in the summer!

Took a quick day trip to the Jersey Shore and decided to stop at the Engleside Inn for dinner The food was great but what stood out to me the most was the amazing customer service, particularly from one of the hostesses, Julia Julia was incredibly friendly and did a phenomenal job of working with my party and I to get the table we wanted and to ensure that we had an overall great experience

I would definitely recommend stopping here for a bite to eat and wanted to extend my thanks to this extraordinary young lady and the rest of the hardworking staff at the Engleside inn!

Christopher Hiester

Service was extremely slow and inattentive We waited 40 minutes just for appetizers to arrive There were bus trays *on the floor* in the corner of the dining room in full view of my seat

It was unappetizing to see (and probably a health violation) servers crouching down to put dirty dishes into bus trays on the ground, right in front of me during dinner The dining room is dimly lit and looks like it hasn’t been updated since the Reagan administration Although there are spectacular ocean and bay views just outside, you wouldn’t know it when you’re inside the cave-like dining room with few windows This place is screaming for a Robert Irvine makeover I won’t be back Ever

Stayed there for a spontaneous weekend and was happy with everything! To start the staff was so courteous and friendly, the rooms were clean and very well stocked with towels and everything you need The pool was very nice and convenient Breakfast was excellent and location was perfect

Very nice atmosphere all around lively but peaceful

The hotel was nice It is so close to the beach You have to walk a bit if you don’t eat onsite

There is a 24 hour convenience store with some snacks, drinks and coffeeThe beds are very hard and I woke up sore everyday It is just slightly better than sleeping on the floor At this price point, I expected better beds Also the heated pool was like bath water I like warm water but this was way too warm

Brian Peykar

Disgusting hotel, do not stay here! I stayed at the hotel on 6/26-6/27 I was supposed to checkout on 6/28 but we had to check out early due to the unsanitary condition in our unit For starters, the unit had a moldy/mildew smell

We had a problem with our air conditioning emitting an extremely high screeching noise every few minutes I contacted the front desk at 7 pm to notify them that the air conditioning unit was not functioning properly and making a very loud screeching noise I was told that a maintenance worker would be at my unit in 30 minutes 2 1/2 hours later a maintenance worker showed up In the interim, I had also notified the front desk to let them know we had a significant ant infestation in the bathroom The maintenance worker showed up at a time when my family was sleeping and could not do the repairs needed He also intended on spraying the toxic chemical ROUND UP in the bathroom to treat the ants Round Up cannot be used indoors and is meant for treating weeds, it also happens to be toxic I shudder at the thought that he may have sprayed it earlier if we were not in the unit I was very upset that he thought that was a solution to the problem Due to the issues with the AC unit, we were forced to sleep through the night without air conditioning which is obviously extremely uncomfortable To make matters worse, my 3 and 5 year old complained that there were itchy in the middle of the night and we turned on the light to now see that there were ants in the bed and on their body I would not expect for these instances to happen in a lower cost hotel let alone a hotel that costs over $300 a night I complained to the front desk person and was assured a manager would contact me which never happened

Fantastic location; suited our family perfectly Right on the beach, plus a pool so you can have your choice of water recreation Simple rooms were cool and clean with plenty of hot water

Owners were great, cleaning staff thorough and pleasant We parked for the week and used bikes to move around the island Grocery store a couple blocks away for basic snacks Highly recommend for active vacationers that just need a comfortable, clean place to crash Quiet area Great find

Glen Ahern

If there was a zero star option, I would choose that one The staff was disrespectful and downright rude to their guests We were threatened to be kicked out after jumping in the pool twice

As we came back from the beach one time to wash the sand off of our feet with the motel hose, a staff member rips the hose out of my teenage sisters hands and accuses us all of not having rooms Overall, a horrible stay with some horrible hosts

Cosima Alampi

Absolutely would not recommend Room is beyond tiny Can’t even move in it

Air does not work , constantly shuts off and rooms are so hot, no over head fan or any other options It’s just small screen unit , that is attached to the outside wall with all windows and doors so it doesn’t cool down the room even a little and shuts down every 10 Mins for 5plus mins at a timeBed had stains all over quilt, i have photos, there are several not just one and very visible , which means the staff saw them and didn’t care No elevators, no help w/luggage2nd floor “ocean view room” is not an ocean view it’s a sand dune viewThere is no way this place has the rating it shows on here because I can assure you what is described in the reviews posted is absolutely not what you get

We think this property is just beautiful We stayed there years ago & thought it was nice Now we see even more improvements and the cleanliness & organization are managed so well

We believe the young lady at the front desk who helped us & was lovely was Abby We will be very embarrassed if that is her name considering how nicely she treated us!! It may be her job doesn’t mean it will happen! We also enjoyed our lunch at Mainland & met Alexa & Christine Also so nice & food was yum!!

Geometry Craft

This hotel is really nice to stay at, the restaurant has good food and is pretty clean, the pool and hot tub are also a nice addition to the main hotel building When you go outside, besides the outdoor part of the restaurant, there is so much more you can do that is right on the hotel grounds There’s a small but nice putting holes outside of the pool, but the main area outside comes with go carts, a large adventure course, and small, but nice arcade

The adventure course was really fun, the employees are always nice and friendly The go carts are also a fun time, and are kept up nicely The arcade also has a few fun things inside This hotel also has a nice location, being right near the ocean, along with easy access to shops and other places Overall, would recommend this hotel for anyone that has the money to go!

Shannon Carter

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your resort This site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is the best rated in this area

I’ve been coming here for years If you decide to stay here you won’t regret itThis is a great hotel as part of the Holiday Inn chain and the most recent renovations have created a fabulous new bar and restaurant area with great food and drinks We stayed for a wedding which was great, very well managed and great fun overall stay

Such a lovely motel with a very B&B vibe We were warmly welcomed It was such a pleasure to meet the family who owns Ella’s

We travel to Barnegat Light every year for Running-for-Joy5k but this was the first time we stayed overnight The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable The bathrooms are large and clean with good water pressure The delicious breakfast was served to order by the family in a bright homey kitchen I look forward to returning again this year and would recommend Ella’s to anyone

Jeff Bilansky

Stayed here for a few days, very relaxed atmosphere, SUPER cold AC in the rooms which is nice after a long day on the beach (had to turn it down a few times it was so cold) The staff is super friendly and laid back Great experience and would highly recommend it

It’s not a high end hotel (keep that in mind), it’s a family owned motel and the rooms are clean and quiet, the flat screen TV’s have over 200 channels in case the weather does not cooperate and you get ‘trapped’ in the room for a few hours Super trip, thanks Autumn! I would also recommend her sister-in laws restaurant across the street open in the evenings BYOB super fresh food & sea food not too expensive (I had surf & turf for under $40) most entree’s average $25 The Motel is very conveniently located same distance from the marina one way as the beach to the other, easily walking distance, Viking village next to the marina also easily walking distance There’s a convenience store & gas station across the street which is nice for ice and other quick items There is a grocery store 2 or 3 blocks up towards the light house for larger items No microwave or fridge in the rooms so bring a cooler to keep in your car We’ll definitely be back! Very relaxing stay

We really liked this hotel We only were able to stay for three nights and it was in our budget First off, I was nervous about being so close to the main road but we heard nothing except for once when an ambulance went by

Our friends were staying in the next room, she knocked on our door and we told her to come in and even yelled it and she could not hear usThe pool was fantastic and clean, just the mats hurt my feet, but my feet are really sensitiveIt was across the street from a bagel shop that cost us less than 20 bucks daily for a family of 4 breakfastThree blocks from the beach Close to restaurants and amusement areaRooms were clean!Great viewing areas for sunsets! The only downfall was the room was totally out dated and the TV was really small Better pillows, newer carpet and bathroom this place would be a 10Definitely coming back

Lisa Shucker

I stayed here with my family back in the 90s and it was okay back then Well, nothing has changed, and that’s not a good thing The furniture is all the same

The comforters are the same The lighting in the room is the same and it’s terrible The bathroom was in desperate need of a face lift It’s outdated to say the least Our bed sheets were also not changed, the bed was just made every night At least put on fresh sheets The pressure in the shower was bad and it drained so slow that you took a shower in 3 inches of water the entire time There was a bug on the sink that had died (did anyone even clean the room before we got in?) The fridge was set to the coldest setting, but it was still warm The indoor pool closed at 9pm The wooden furniture to sit on to enjoy the bay would have left us with a million splinters Not even gonna try to sit on the medal furniture as it (and all the outside door knobs) had ruse on them The cost was still pretty high too Would have stayed some place else any place else if there was any place that had rooms available I’ll forgo the trip next time before I stay here again So sad

Nicole Sposato Torres

Been coming here for years and never had a issue other then my kids locking the safe with teddy inside 🙂 This is a motel in a beach community so don’t expect 5 star service The pool is really nice on the bay with a shower, there’s 2 rooftop terraces and they have Bayfront suites It’s nice being on the bay and being a short walk to the beach

There is ample parking and it’s close to alot Theres a bagel joint directly across the street and it’s my favorite motel to stay at when I need one on LBI

Stayed for 2 nights with my family during the American angler tournament We arrived late at night and we had a very nice welcoming from the owner Although the office closed at 6 pm he came back from his house Asked for a late checkout and it was granted with free of charge

The rooms are spacious and clean Room #16Thank you very much for sure will come back

Zach R

When you think of beach motels you think of shabby rooms with tile floors and no amenities but Haven Beach is different The rooms are nice and clean, they’re carpeted and come with AC units that actually work and they’re well stocked with all the things you’d expect The prices are very fair and the employees are all very kind and helpful

Georgeann Wenner

Location is good and view of bay is good Rooms need remodeling Carpets are very musty

Had to leave windows open to get fresh air Bathrooms are very small and old Shower head is like a sprinkling can over your head Room 2 had many small ants in the bathroom and along back wall Owners did very little to help us 2 towels were given to us for 4 people Had to ask for more towels Double beds would be better if they were gueen and newer mattresses Bedding is old also Price is cheap but I would not stay here again

Me and my boyfriend spent Valentines Day here, and the hotel service and property exceeded our expectations The hotel is spotless, and the staff were amazing Has a indoor self parking garage, that was heated and you can enter the hotel easily and take the elevator to check in

I unfortunately booked a room without a balcony and didn’t realize, they upgraded me free of charge The Living Room restaurant is perfect for quick bite to eat and the drinks are Amazing The room is beautiful, perfectly decorated and clean The linens were so soft and I love the space, easily can entertain a family without feeling overcrowded Perfect place to get away for a weekend I will surely be back, and would recommend anyone to go here We didn’t get a chance to use the pool or jacuzzi we came a little too late, but definitely will when we return

Kay Bee

This place is great Complimentary valet, someone is always there if you need something, the food is great The room was huge, and really nicely maintained

You also couldn’t hear any other guests in their room (top or neighboring) and the hotel was sold out My family of 4 enjoyed the accommodations and everything it had to offer My only complaint is that we had a very intimate view of the AC unit for the hotel We couldn’t see anything other than that and for $400 a night, that’s not what I want to be looking at Would absolutely stay again, but would request a room with an unobstructed view

Gilbert NGUYEN

We stayed 1 week from Thursday to Wednesday over Easter We booked a 2 bedrooms with king beds, for 2 adults and 2 kidsPrice is ok as I guess everything is a bit more expensive around Easter Sunday

The room price increased from 299 to 459 just for the Friday and Saturday, it seems a bit excessiveRoom was large, cleanness could be better but I will come back on that topicOur room was not ready at 4pm We had to wait until 5:20pm Do not get all your stuff from your car until they confirm room is readyWe ate at the restaurant on our first night The food was really good and we wanted to come back on our last night but they are closed Monday and Tuesday unfortunatelyWe cooked dinner the other nights and there is minimum equipment but it was sufficient Only expect to cook simple dinner and to use the dishwasher every night as there would not be enough dishes for the next morningHotel had multiple wedding in a row so it was packed of guest coming for 1 night max and it creates massive amount of work for the cleaning staff and now I understand better why our room was not ready on timeI saw cleaning staff exhausted by the afternoon and noticed rooms left in terrible state by guestI really believe staff do their best under the circumstancesOur room was at the very end of the 3rd floor (top floor) which is a perk as it is much more quiet Otherwise expect to hear your neighbor and all the kids running in the hallwayI will conclude my review with the pool The size is not adapted to the hotel capacity It could be easily double the size For me it was a huge disappointment and seriously dangerous There is no supervision so you see kids and teenagers diving from everywhere and in the middle of people Expect to be kicked under the water, and to be splashed We ended up going only when not crowded which was super rare

My husband and I just stayed a week at the hotel with our 2 young kids The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly There is a hotel and an Inn section

We stayed at the Inn which is the furthest from the music and we didn’t hear a thing The restaurant is delicious The location is perfect to walk to the beach, restaurants, ice cream and mini golf There is no coffee maker in the room, there is one by the front desk and coffee shops in walking distance We were a little surprised that parking was limited Overall, this is a perfect getaway for a couple or small family!

Dennis Doll

First-time customer for dinner July 8th Great atmosphere Many empty tables yet it was 15 minutes before the server visited our table

My wife had the crab cake sandwich which was very good I had the Jumbo Shrimp and Crab over Linguini inparmesan cream sauce There were only 4 shrimp They were not jumbo and were barely large Could only find small bits of crab in the sauce It was good but nothing came with the entree and at $34 it just didn’t seem like good value I’m willing to come back and try again

The reviews say it all John and Judy keep this BNB alive with outstanding service and accommodations My wife and I had the chance to really learn about the business and the owners while we stayed this past week

It’s an Americana story where hard work and caring for others pays off They are CONSTANTLY working It’s one of the best experiences in LBI and as others mentioned, it’s steps away from the beach A great place for all ages, but maturity is required Thank you for your hospitality John and Judy As John always says “Live Long and Prosper” God bless

My husband and I stayed for a short two nights in the ocean cottage room We absolutely loved it The room was adorable and right next to the pool area

The bathroom was on the smaller side but that was ok John and Judy were exceptional, always asking if we needed anything or how our day wasThe breakfast was incredible and so relaxing to sit on the porch each morning to eatThe little touches made our stay and we can’t wait to come back!

This place was absolutely horrible…we had a queen size bed for 4 nights The room itself was very dirty, the toilet didn’t flush, the smell of mold that came out of the A/C was awful, I had to wear a mask…then to top it off the smell of the restaurant and all the garbage that was out for the animals to pick at…absolutely horrible place…save your money…needless to say we left the very next morning, completely ruined our vacation

Colleen Ciecura

A very well run Motor Lodge Cleanliness is priority here! The staff is extremely friendly and they give a feeling of home yet being on vacation!Everything is well sanitized, The rooms are very nice with something for every budgetYou are steps away from the beach and within 10 minute walk or less to some great restaurants

Very relaxing to sit on the balcony and just well relaxNeed to get away for a few days you won’t be disappointed!

Thaddeus Lazor

Room was clean, nice sitting area in front of room, have been coming here for years annually Mattresses were hard, needs some updating Pool was not sufficiently cleaned although we had a little rain in the morning

No more tables with umbrellas, no sitting chairs We were at pool at 12:30 PM A lot of sand on the bottom of the pool and bugs on top and along the pool wall Asked the woman at the desk if someone could clean it and she said it was cleaned at 9:00AM and that’s it I said as a guest it’s dirty, very rudely she responded it was cleaned Not the service and clean pool I remembered I don’t think we’ll be back, very disappointed on this trip

I was visiting a friend there I was actually surprised at how much nicer the rooms were from when it was The Sea Pine Much cleaner and more modern

The rooms are a lot better than some of the hotels I’ve been to in Florida that are in the heart of everything and suppose to be nice I would recommend staying here in the summer when the pool is open

Liliana R.

Don’t let the pictures deceive you The room I had was very small and dark The curtains are old and they don’t close completely allowing sun light in early in the morning

The bathroom door was not hung properly as it was very hard to close The shower area, the tub was rusty and old The pictures of the pool are true and the grounds are well kept Review your options carefully as there should be better places for the same expensive price We won’t be back for sure

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Windward The room was clean and they make special efforts to remind everyone to keep sand outside The outdoor showers are very nice–roomy and stocked with soap, shampoo, and conditioner

The people are helpful and friendly Location is great, right near the beach and a short walk to the main downtown shops and restaurants We would definitely stay here again!

For my family summer beach vacation staying at The Windward is our absolute favorite! I think this is our third year staying here and we look forward to it every summer David and his family are such amazing hosts, as well as Michelle and all the staff The rooms are super clean and well taken care of

They are super responsive when we ask for extra towels or anything we need We just love how conveniently located to the beach and all the restaurants and shops it is We also love the coffee/tea bar in the lobby The feeling of comfort and being at a home away from home is just what I love for my family’s summer vacation Thank you David, family and staff for another great stay at your beautiful Windward Inn

My husband and I booked a last minute Beach Haven trip and couldn’t be more thrilled that we found the Windward for our impromptu stayOur room was quaint, cozy, and clean, and I loved the the keyless entry for the room The owners and staff were delightful

I loved the quiet and relaxed vibeIf your preferred hotels are the Ritz or Four Seasons, the Windward may not be for you – but if you’re relaxed, undemanding, and down-to-earth, I can’t recommend the Windward enoughThe Windward will be the first hotel I try to book when I visit Beach Haven in the future Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Best place to stay If your visiting LBI! Free showers in back to wash sand off after beach! Hotel rooms, service,& pricing are great! Al & Christine & family are great hosts as well as very knowledgeable! Awesome location at quiet end of island! Great places to eat & shop at nearby! Beach tags can be purchased here & the beach itself is close by!

We came down to the North Shore in in May while our floors were being redone We had heard good things from friends who stayed there last year, and we were not disappointed We had two of the standard first floor rooms and they were spacious, impeccably clean, and pleasant

We had to do some work during the day, and we found the table provided in the room a good place to work The owner (Chris?), welcomed us and was flexible when we weren’t sure how long we were going to stay I also love this part of the Island, which is a bit quieter and less overrun than the other parts It’s amazing to be so close to the beach This place is *very* good value for money

We love staying here 🙂 We try to visit every summer!! 🌞 The North Shore Inn is so convenient to the ocean, the lighthouse, and restaurants on the north side of Long Beach Island The owners are exceptional and always so nice and happy to help !! We reserved one of the suites on the top floor and it had the perfect kitchenette for our shore stay We had a microwave, mini fridge, mini stove, and sink

The suite also came with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils 🍽 The accommodations were very clean and tidy and there is an outdoor shower area to wash off before you enter your room

Stayed here Thursday thru Sunday You can’t beat the price for mid-week or weekend It’s the best price for any room on the entire island

The rooms are super cozy and comfortable Locations is amazing Walk to everything (beach, ice cream, restaurants, bars) Beach badges included and the room even had a mini refrigerator and a freezer It was great for my family Rooms are clean and owners are attentive We arrived early and were able to pick up the beach badges then the owners called us when room was ready so we had an early check-in We like supporting locally owned business Would def stay again!

Absolutely horrible experience We booked this hotel as part of a wedding party We were told check out was 12pm when booking, but ended up getting kicked out at 11am

The room was disgusting The sheets were stained and not changed, because there was loads of sand in the beds The door was broken and wouldn’t lock The rooms are run down and outdated Bathrooms are gross For almost $200 for a weeknight, we expected much better quality

I have a hard time understanding all of the glowing reviews for this motelOn the positive side, the room was clean and the shower worked wellHowever the room was advertised as having 2 queen sized beds

Not true They are full-size beds, not queens In fairness, the room is so tiny that queen beds wouldn’t fit And the mattresses on the beds weren’t very comfortableParking is inadequate When we got back to the motel that evening, there was no room in the parking lot It didn’t help that there was a large pickup truck taking up 2 spots But there was no one in the office to speak to, so I had to park on the streetOur 2-bed room had a divider down the middle with only 1 A/C unit in the room So the people on the side with the A/C froze while the other sweated A/C was very loudSound proofing seems non-existent as one other reviewer noted, so when the early risers on the second floor got up in the morning you could hear them stomping around

MIS PARK

It was difficult to find a room on the day because it was the holiday season, but fortunately, there was an empty room Of course, it was much more expensive than usual It is located about walking to the beach

It’s cleaner than I thought and the water pressure in the bathroom is strong The staff did not provide information on the Internet Wi-Fi The office was also closed at 8 pm There are plenty of towels and the air conditioner works well, so I’m satisfied with it

Darcy Baia

We arrived to our hotel and walked into an empty front desk a note was left that there is no one working the hotel and we would have to drive to another hotel to check in ( their sister hotel) 😳 disconcerting

I travel a lot for business I have never seen such a thing Nonetheless we go get a keyWe arrive back in the room finally and realize there is no internet No front desk for assistance so we call the other hotel… they give us a Code that does not work we call right back and no one answers we tried for an hour Completely ridiculous We are here on business and absolutely need internet We now have to leave the building to complete our meeting and finish our work for a time sensitive projectI am beyond upset Unacceptable At least answer your phone for your guests Shame on this business!

Sarah Manfredo

Would I have preferred a beach house? Of course; but my family of three comfortably fit in a room with two queen beds and, most importantly, we were able to get a booking only 2 weeks in advance I was expecting it to be kinda scary but honestly, it was absolutely fine for us Luckily we got a room at the end of the hall so I think that helped matters

I saw there was a pool that seemed crowded most days but that’s not my scene We really just used the room as a place to sleep Probably wanna bring your own pillow if you can Staff was friendly When we were checking in, there was a drunken, out-of-state guest causing a disturbance and being really rude to the women behind the desk We only caught the tail end of the exchange, but I remember thinking I admired the staff for keeping their cool during the chaos and still treating us kindly despite just being berated Would recommend if you’re just looking for a place to crash and clean up

We had the pleasure of staying at the Inn at Rivers Edge after our wedding a few weeks ago Patty was wonderful and the house itself was immaculate and BEAUTIFUL We were able to have some of our wedding photos shot from the bedroom balcony that over looks the water, and down in the marina that is located on the property behind the house

Breakfast was served the next morning and it was delicious! This was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast and it was a wonderful and fun experience If you ever have the opportunity to stay a day or two at the Inn, you will not be disappointed!

This was our second time staying here We love it The rooms are beautiful, beds are so comfortable, the little details are so appreciated , like robes in the closet, water in the fridge, and some snacks for midnight raid

Breakfast is fabulous our host Patty is an amazing cook, and the way is it is presented was wonderful The views are spectacular There is a restaurant just next door that serves wonderful seafood as well as other items We only live 45 mins away but when I come and stay here, I feel as if I left the state 🙂 very relaxing Bonus Patty has a very cute puppy named Janelove her Great place

Kristina Magolis

We stayed here to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and it was great! Patty and Jane were the very best hosts! Location is right off the river, close to a very good restaurant and about a half hour from the beach Our room was clean and comfortable Patty made us fresh fruit and granola as well as unlimited peach waffles for breakfast

It was the perfect relaxed and cozy spot for a quick getaway We highly recommend it and hope to be back soon!
