ProsNice and comfortable dorm room for a couple of nights Pool area is also very nice

ConsThought that it was a bit weird to not have any drinking water available for guests all day until the bar opens at 5pm So if you’re hanging out by the pool you have to walk to the supermarket to get water Surely it wouldn’t be a big deal for them to have a water cooler?I guess it is!Found the staff generally pretty moody and unfriendly, except for Evan He was super friendly and chatty The others were notIt was also pretty disappointing to be moved on from our sun loungers or table by the pool each day, because they have people come in from outside the hostel and they want the space for themSo regardless that we’re guests staying in the premises, we still got kicked offNot coolOverall, I wouldn’t rush back

Decent value for money if you prefer a more social experienceDorms and bathrooms are clean and convenient enough The location is great with the beach, restaurants and a grocery store nearby

There is absolutely no kitchen whatsoever to use whereas most of the area turns into a restaurant/bar in the evening Thus rooms on ground level tend to be fairly loud

Danielle Higgins

First time staying in a hostel so my review may not be correct The bed was comfy The weekend I came to Miami was extremely cold and the rooms were freezing

I understand its bare minimum but no full size mirror in the room Also no washcloths provided please bring your own I felt safe Met a ton of people Will try other hostels in the future

Excellent place to stay Across the street from the beach Pool area is beautiful and rooftop is stunning

Rooms are comfortable and clean I will say that there was a bit more sound to be heard from neighboring rooms on the weekend, but overall it was a wonderful stay The front desk staff is welcoming and they always have smiles on their faces Really helps brighten the whole experience to be met with a smile Thanks from North Carolina 🙂

Hotel Croydon was a wonderful place to stay for our last minute trip to Miami Beach The hotel itself is located in a great area that felt safe, was close to the beach and had many wonderful bars and restaurants around They have clearly taken an effort to address some the of the concerns of prior guests

Everything other guests noted in prior reviews as being a negative seemed to have be addressed The rooms were clean with comfortable beds The restaurant on site was reasonably priced with large portions and good food They held our luggage for us on the day we checked out so that we could still use the beach and pool while awaiting our flights The only negative I have was that the glasses in the room were not clean, despite being “cleaned” I prefer disposable plastic cups in hotels so that I they are actually clean instead of just wiped with a rag by housekeeping Would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Miami!

We stayed at Hotel Croydon for three days and two nights, August 1-3, 2022 Location is great and the staff is friendly! Cheap overnight parking garage about 10 mins away for $8; however, it’s the little things that brought my rating down My daughter dropped her charger and it rolled under the bed

She went to retrieve it and her hand came out dirty! There was a lot of dirt and dust up under the bed so it appears the housekeeping staff does not clean under there In addition, there is not a fridge or microwave in the room, which is very inconvenient when traveling with children Even if you utilize the restaurant for meals, there is no way to warm your food up if you have leftovers Also, the prices of the items in the mini bar are 3x the normal rate, and they charge a 17% restocking fee Lastly, there is no business center on the property When I approached the front desk about receiving a fax she stated she did not know the fax number so she would have the GM call me with the information; however, no one ever called me nor came to my room So I had to create an online fax account to receive the documents through email and then went to a public library to print them Overall, I would stay here again if the rate was right, but the conveniences that come with a less expensive hotel chain seems to meet the needs of my family better

One of the coolest places you can find I hope other people don’t know about it Actually, forget whatever I said and don’t come here

This place is so horrible that only I and people I know deserve to stay9 and a half out of 10

Duh Sunnyday

Would have been a more pleasant experience because the room is nice But the maids love to stand outside the doors and scream back and forth in Cuban for extended periods of time Like for hours! Just shut up and clean the rooms next door already! They don’t need to be so loud! This isn’t the first time either unfortunately

If it weren’t for this it’d be better

I really enjoyed the hospitality and great customer service from Gabby and Ovy They both were really friendly, provided quick, and efficient service The hotel was located right next to the beach walking distance

The hotel provides beach towels, umbrellas, and chairs There are restaurants in walking distance of the hotel that were great The room was clean and up to par The bed and pillows were comfortable The cleaning service woman was very helpful in changing sheets due to a personal accident There were very accommodating and answered questions in a professional manner I was able to check in earlier than expected and leave my luggage with them safely until I return upon check out I truly consider someone to stay at this hotel if you were looking for a private quiet and pleasant stay in North Beach Miami

Hope Marshall

Cute hotel, in a good location; walkable to most “incidentals” (supermarket, bus stops, coffee shops) Also, a short walk to the beach If you’re big on opulence, this probably isn’t the place for you, as it is more functional than it is “pretty”

It is as if someone fixed up their spare bedroom real nice for you – but that’s part of the charm The only minor annoyance: (1) wish there were mini blinds at the rooms’ window, instead of a pull-down shade, as this would let more natural light in while maintaining privacy; (2) not having a shower caddy or someplace to rest your items while in the bath Overall, I had a good stay, and would recommend

Cleveland Street Preachers

THESE EVIL PEOPLE AT THIS HOTEL TOOK MY MONEY! I travel a lot and this was a terrible experience I’m usually not that picky with hotels, but this place was full of evil people that work there When I went there, there were tiny bugs everywhere

They had a man come and “spray” the bugs, and he put maybe a couple squirts on some baseboards That’s it They offered a different room and when they did the room smelled like smoke, so I asked for another room They didn’t have any, so I wanted a refund for the remaining nights I couldn’t use and they refused to refund me! Called hotelscom and they spoke to the owner and he didn’t care! They essentially robbed me! I left and found another hotel because I wasn’t going to sleep in a room with bugs and deal with shady people that only cared about liability These people here are very evil! Don’t do business with these wicked people

We have had a wonderful stay here Everyone has been so nice and helpfulI want to especially thank Angie for taking such great care of us

I told her about my love of Cuban Coffee and she made me some that day And then the next morning, while making my plate at the breakfast buffet, she brought me a freshly made Cuban Coffee She was truly a wonderful person Thank you so much She really made our stay

Katie McDonald

The woman that checked us in was great! Best part of the stay The evening clerk was exceptionally rude and seemed put out by the guests I saw walk to the desk Our room really want clean either

Styrofoam pieces in multiple places and the previous guests water bottles The sheets are very itchy and don’t fit the bed very well Door dash can not seem to find this place for deliveries either, it was a major headache It just isn’t somewhere we would stay again

D Rich

One night stay Located on the north side of MIA Two issues: (1) the elevator closest to the lobby was not in service and the secondary elevator was a long walk to get to it, so we had to use the stairs! (2) an alarm, possibly on airport property kept going off ALL NIGHT, so annoying! Would have been nice for a small discount due to both issues

The young man working the front desk when I arrived was very pleasant and engaging He did his job well and as the face of the hotel that evening, did the hotel justice by his pleasant demeanor

The guy at the front counter very nice, however according to him he was the only on duty that night Our room AC was set on fan and I could not adjust/change the settings (room never got cold), the TV would NOT come on at all, we unplugged it and try a different outlet and it never came on, they did NOT have toiletries as they were completely out (front desk guy stated) and we was never offered to change rooms Will definitely NOT be staying there again

Charissa

No hot water in shower or sink, called front desk twice- no answer- went down to front desk no customers around Front desk lady was unhelpful, unfriendly and acknowledged they knew that there are numerous rooms that the hot water doesn’t work Refused to offer us any compensation for our troubles, wouldn’t switch rooms when I requested it, stating, “ I don’t know what other rooms don’t have hot water…” she stated that other customers are having hot water issues as well

So they are aware, yet, not offering compensation for their problems Hotel old and dated, photos look better than in person, very loud room…next to freeway and loud elevator, mold in shower on ceiling and walls Dark, poorly lit hallways and rooms need attention and updating Outdoor pool is freezing cold Workout room is lacking, only one machine functioned (when I tried all four)Front Staff unwelcoming and unfriendly Didn’t welcome me or acknowledge me as a reward points member- I had to ask at check out if I was given my points Not the greatest area, very far away from the airport & no hotel shuttle as advertised on their website For the price we paid, very poor value Would NOT recommend staying here Worst Holiday Inn property we’ve ever stayed at, we are frequent travelers I choose Holiday Inn properties for their reputation, this hotel doesn’t fit the Holiday Inn standards Find someplace else

shannon Conway

This hotel service is terrible Do not recommend staying here You should not put your diamond elite customers in the rooms that have no hot water

Then tell them oh sorry it’s something we can note, but there is nothing we can do Then when you ask for a hair dryer 3 times and you say ok no problem and it never comes I don’t usually post bad reviews but I do expect a hotel to make traveling for work suck less, not more I don’t think that’s asking too much

This place was recommended to me by a friend and it was a total hit! From the first call to check availability, the treatment was 5 stars Both Vanessa and Luis made me feel welcome and ready to help make the stay perfect! The apartment is very clean and steps from the spectacular beach Also very accessible to restaurants, pharmacy, supermarkets and pure entertainment

Highly recommended! From now on my place to stay whenever I visit Miami Beach! My son and I had a great time!

I’m usually very skeptical to tell people of my great finds for the fear that too many people will find out and I won’t have it to myself anymore! However, this one time, I will actually say – Please stay here!! You will not be disappointed The rooms are spacious and meticulously clean I have stayed here more than a couple times and I continuing coming back and will continue to do so

There’s free parking and the beach is right across the street! Unlimited beach towels and chair use at all hours of the day (and night!) There’s cute pool with comfy lounge chairs Additionally, you’re near all the shopping and delicious restaurants that Surfside/Bal Harbour have to offer If that isn’t enough, the managers, Vanessa and Luis, are seriously the best! They look out for you and are genuinely concerned on if you’re enjoying your stay and offer to make it even better with every chance they get!

Missy Marrara

This review is quite late, but just as sincere We absolutely LOVED our stay at Sun Harbour Vanessa was the most charming of hostesses and absolutely nothing was too much to ask

She was generous, kind, and anticipated things we might want or need The rooms are lovely, well stocked, and very clean, the property is delightful and in a great location to enjoy the shops and dining of Surfside and Bal Harbour The beach was an easy walk across the street, with towels and chairs provided by the hotel We can not wait until we return to Bal Harbour and stay at Sun Harbour again We couldn’t have asked for a better home away from home

We had a very pleasant 4 day stay The room was clean and the bed very comfortable The staff were very helpful and cleaned daily

Helen in reception went out of her way to assist us It was quiet and restful The beach is very close by and to top it all the weather was perfect! Would certainly recommend Very good value for the price

Jocelyne Clémençon

We booked via Bookingcom because it was a reasonable price but still enough (approx 200$/night) and we stayed for six days

We got an upgrade for a room with a kitchenette The kitchen had a table with two chairsThe bed was a king size and I wished there was one more cushion per personThe bathroom was okay, but everything is a bit rusty or outdatedWe got fresh towels each day The floor wasn’t cleaned each day, however I am not sure if it is something day do each dayThe hotel is located right next to the main street and the windows are old So you can hear everythingThere are curtains but light will come through all nightThere wouls have been options to get beach chairs and towels We didn’t need itThe place is okay, but you need a car to reach restaurants or shops

Jon Chang

Hair everywhere every day Hair on the floor the first day, different hair on the walls and towels the second day, and even different hair on the towels and floor the third day Definitely don’t clean the floors or vacuum the carpets

Toilets, shower, sink, and bed linens were clean every day Front desk staff was really friendly Location to the beach is great, but proximity to food and bars is inconvenient Even for such a low cost, it’s not worth it

Oh now that I see this is a hostel as well, it makes sense My friends and I rented the entire place on Airbnb for a weekend It was large and accommodating, but we found it strange that all the rooms were numbered and now we know why

The kitchen was very under stocked, so I wouldn’t expect to cook anything unless you bring everything The bathroom was also not stocked with body wash/soap and there was only enough towels for each guest to have exactly one It would be nice if they had more towels and made sure that the bathrooms had soap The home was very clean overall, but I would suggest that they not use so many plug-ins The fragrant smell was overpoweringGood location

Anton Vorgin

Hello! I liked this hotel, it has a good location, it was convenient for me to get from the hotel and back to the hotel The hotel has its own parking also a very reasonable price !!! the hotel consists of three two-story buildings, on each floor there are 5 rooms, one shared toilet with shower and a shared kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee machine, as well as a toaster

the rooms are not big, but everything is clean and tidy! overall this is a good offer on the hotel market!

J.G. Weeks Jr.

This place is great I haven’t even finished my stay, but after a couple nights here I can honestly say this place is awesome It’s a hostel, as plainly advertised, so it has shared spaces, which is definitely an experience and kind of fun

The bedrooms are private and locked via key codes It’s super clean, cool, and comfortable, and the service is amazing The price cannot be beat for the accommodation

The location of the hotel is perfect for freeway access We were able to head out to our sight seeing and return at the end of the day with ease The hotel property seems a little older, but the rooms themselves are modern and well maintained

We were in a king bed suite that had a separate bedroom area The room was incredibly comfortable, it felt like being in a private apartment We’ll absolutely consider staying at this property again

Pamela Lyle, MBA

Oh boy

let’s start with the positives It’s a quaint hotel in a good location Close to great dining and golf course Very lovely staff That’s it!!The negatives outweigh the positives for me The room was extremely damp Felt like a damp basement There was mold in my bathroom I took a picture of the mold I will try and upload it The carpets in the hallways were dirty The grounds and parking needed attention as well

Edward Streiff

The staff was nice and the hotel was decent for the price The showers were fancy with multiple Jets and the water pressure was really good It kind of feels like a motel because the the different buildings and how you get to your room but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable

The only I had was the cable TV The TV itself was fine but lost of the time I just had a green screen no matter what channel For me on a work trip I was hardly in my room so it wasn’t a big deal but if you like to watch TV before bed or your the type that sleep with the TV on this will be a problem for you
