Check in at the hotel was a bit of a mess Room wasn’t ready until 1hr after the 4:30 check in time and they did not give any advance notice The staff seemed very overwhelmed by the amount of guests that day

The bar was closed, so there wasn’t much to do while waiting for the room besides sit in the lobbyThe room itself was good Comfy beds and everything was clean Fair for the price, but nothing too special Felt a little small for our party of 3, but good if you aren’t planning on being in the room too muchTrying to get our car at checkout was tough The valet attendant said it would take about an hour to get our car if we waited He instead gave us the address of where the cars are kept so I could pick it up myself, just a 5 minute walk away Considering the late check in + having to get my own car, I would have expected they offer a discount on the $33 valet parking they chargedIf this is the only hotel with availability, staying here is fine, but there are definitely better hotels in the area

Joseph Jones

Right now they are in the middle of some renovations All amenities are not available The bar was closed, also the gym

There is a bistro that serves food and drinks Shower heads leaked water, but good pressure If you like historic hotels you will like the Lord Baltimore It was quiet inside the rooms except for the occasional emergency vehicle siren The road in front of the building is being repaired, lots of steel plates The housekeeping staff was great and rooms were clean as expected Would like to stay there again once everything is completed

Shantelle Ozzy

I think this hotel has potential Nice lobby, except for the fact that the bar isn’t available, the cafe closes at 9pm, and the gym is closed downMy evening was turned off by the valet attendant

When I pulled up the girl just sat at the desk starring at me and wasn’t interested in seeing what I needed I came out the car and said, “do you do valet?” She said yes with an attitude and said if I haven’t checked in, to go park somewhere else I was so irritated that I went looking for parking elsewhere The location of the hotel doesn’t have convenient parking, so I went back to the valet The website says self parking and valet parking for one price, but when you get there, the valet is a higher price and there is no self parking available I called the front desk and the staff was nice after I told them that they should honor what their website saysAfter I finally checked in and went to my room, there were towels in my toilet The front desk fixed it and brought new towels, but it was just weird The outlet for the coffee and microwave was faulty and there were no cups I had to hold the cord in place for both to workI will say that the staff (outside of the valet) were accommodating I don’t like the location of this hotel or the parking situation, but they are making more renovations, so maybe next year it will be better I think the hotel should update their website to what they actually have available, so that people aren’t surprised upon arrival

Best hotel I have ever stayed in! Friendly and upbeat staff Even the manager was really nice She freaked out when I showed her pictures of the hotel 11 minutes away at Howard Johnson’s

That place was a nightmare! Anyway, at Hyatt Place, my room 512 was very clean and well decorated Everything worked It smelled great and the bed was comfortable I was well rested and was able to check out at 1pm with no problem Definitely recommend 🙂

Beverly Cosgrove

If I could give it a zero rating that’s what they would get Not sure why I was booked here instead of Marriott (both are the same price per night) The rooms are small, very dirty – the room I was originally booked in was the dirtiest room I’ve ever seen!! Carpet was stained

burn Mark’s all over the carpet the bathroom still had used soap and wet rags from the previous guests Asked to move my room and got another one on a different floor that was a little better the girl who handled my check in and room change was VERY NICE!! The free breakfast is just that it was warm to cool have to walk all over just to make coffee I will insist on Marriott next time

Natania M.

This hotel is not bad Unfortunately I do not think it lives up to the Hyatt name In general the room appears to be nice, but the bathrooms and the pool area could use some updating

The breakfast bar was okay but the selections were minimal They serve Starbucks coffee but the staff doesn’t seem like they know how to make it properly I asked for a regular coffee and then they asked me how much espresso shots I wanted… I am also positive I left with bed bug bites the next day I made sure i washed everything I took there when I got home I expected an exceptional experience instead got a mediocre one

The good: It is a beautiful location and an awesome value Room was clean and nicely appointed with more electrical outlets than any hotel room that I’ve stayed in recently Bathroom was very clean

Nice balcony/patio with chairs and table Room was quiet and no bad smellsThe bad: The furnishings are a bit dated, the tv was tiny, and the mattress was sad I could see the depressions of every guest who stayed here in the past No kiddingConclusion: I would definitely stay here again

Dave Methvin

We stayed in the Octagon, a beautiful old building with charm and spacious rooms The staff was friendly and helpful Although breakfast was included with our room rate, the food was not good

On weekends there’s a meager continental breakfast with onion bagels and chalky pastries During the week there is a “hot” breakfast that adds prefab scrambled eggs and dry breakfast meats

Noah McLaughlin

Great place with a very friendly front desk! Always smiles to make you feel welcomed back! At one point we needed some extra towels so we asked them, and they informed us they were fully booked at the time and doing their best to receive and clean towels from rooms and would get us them as soon as possible They got them to us in time, which we never expected but they did and I was very grateful! The employees really care about their job and the people who stay there

My new bride made reservations for this trip, as such, the room was not under my last name There was no social hour, breakfast, snack, or beverage offered purportedly due to covid It appeared that the dining space was significantly reduced due to the fact that the back deck for outdoor dining was condemned

There were multiple signs of neglect in the interior and exterior of the building This building has potential, but will take some work It would not have a bad experience for a $55 stay, but extremely disappointing for the price paid

KH Yoga Education

They are not ADA compliant I was turned away at the door due to my disability after a confirmed reservation in my husband’s name If you’re a person traveling with a disability, stay away from this place

They won’t treat you like a person I can’t speak to the inside of the room, I never made it But I highly recommend finding an alternative place to stay, anywhere else I normally only write about positive experiences, but I would never want someone else to be stranded They don’t want disabled money They will turn you away with an empty parking lot and little other revenue coming in

ilene levin

This is the worst place to stay They have no amenities They claim to have a sheep farm but that is a total lie

The place is completely run down and has not been taken care of They do not have a kitchen The patio doors do not lock and the patios are filthy with leaves, cobwebs, bugs, etc They also claim to provide a breakfast When we checked in, they gave us a small lunch bag with two store bought muffins, individual oatmeal packets and pretzels that they clearly bought from the grocery store They have a no refund policy for a reason because when you check-in, you want to leave right away

Magdelyn Glaudemans

Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was wonderful – staff were kind, room was decorated nicely, and the catered food they partner with was delicious After the wedding, we were all hanging in the lobby, and a staff member came out to offer us a trash can for our leftover snacks and told us we could hang out as long as we wanted, but to just avoid any hallways so as to not awaken guests We really appreciated it!

Holly Valentine

Unfortunately this is the only hotel in town, so there is no reason to upgrade I have to stay here a couple of times a year because it is really the only choice in the area I keep hoping it will improve, but never does

Worst beds in a hotel ever… floor would be more comfortable Also the pillows on the bed would hardly work for a toddler There is one sheet along with a paper thin blanket and paper thin bedspread Can’t imagine staying here in winter The only good thing is the fridge and microwave in the room – definitely bring your own food if staying multiple nights Even the tv system feels like it is 20 years ago

Kimberly Williams

The hotel was fully booked, but the staff treated us like guests and not a job or a nuisance I am excited thinking about visiting family again and staying at the Westminster Best Western!I was saddened by a family that was complaining about breakfast on Sunday They were unkind to the hard-working and kind, young man working to feed the fully-booked hotel! They were loud and unkind not only to the hotel staff, but to their own family members

I share this because I expect this family to leave a derogatory review as they seemed like that sort of people (ironically, the woman’s name was Karen!)

We really enjoyed our stay here The hosts are absolutely lovely and so very interesting The breakfast was excellent

Our room was very comfortable and quiet I was amazed to learn that the inn was sold out because I didn’t hear any other guests It was only when I saw others at breakfast did we realize we were not alone I will stay here again and recommend it to others

My stay at Wilson House B&B was three years in the making, but more than worth the wait I enjoy old charm and turn of the century hotels and houses I had found Wilson House while viewing the Baltimore 10-Miler race start/finish and route

It is perfectly central to the light-rail line serving BWI and Amtrak station, eateries near the art college campus, local eateries down the street, and Druid Hill Park – the race start/finish I stayed two nights Clelia is a delightful, dutiful host Wonderful stories to share, enjoys talking about the multitudes of collections of all sorts of things throughout the house: artwork, international treasures, her husband’s (Guy’s) challenge coins and military (mostly nautical) models, and more She is also a wonderful cook The table setting in the morning, I felt like I was English royalty preparing for tea The evening wine and cheese time was pleasant, relaxing, and a wonderful opportunity to meet other guests Guy was not home during my stay Perhaps another time I am not posting pictures because you need to see it all first hand for yourself My room was the Purple Room A private room with private bath 3rd floor Lots of steps as there are with old, tall homes Window A/C units in each of the bath and bedroom Bedroom closet is a large walk-in with a sitting table should you need to sit down to put on makeup or get ready The shower head is an adjustable wand with multiple settings If the water pressure is weak, turn the head and you’ll be fine Enjoy your stay!

Miss Lapid

Enjoyed my very first ever B&B experience!Guy and Clelia are such wonderful hosts Their house is immaculately clean and filled with amazing items Guy collected through the yearsThe Victorian architecture is complemented by good solid furnishings and modern conveniences

I am so impressed that I already booked another night!

Had a good stay at the Hyatt All of the staff I spoke to were friendly and helpful Room was spacious and the fitness center was clean and well ventilated

Breakfast was better than I typically expect with fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, plus the standard optionsI parked at the garage behind the hotel- it was about $20 for overnight plus part of one dayWithin walking distance there’s a Whole Foods for provisions, and it was a quick easy walk to Fells Point and all the shops and restaurants thereMy room wasn’t cleaned super well and when I asked the staff for cleaning supplies they offered to have my room cleaned again I opted just to wipe things down myself, so they supplied cleaning solution and cloths I’d say the state of my room was my only real complaint You can see in the pictures that the couch and carpet was stained, and in addition to there being food on the desk there was sticky liquid in the ice container and the toilet seat was not cleaned More thorough housekeeping would go a long way

Ashley T

There was construction happening in front of entrance of the hotel but that didn’t create much of a problem at all Upon reaching the hotel, I was greeted by an individual who showed me to the parking garage, the lobby and assisted with my luggage The woman at the front desk was very kind when I checked in

The room was clean, neat, spacious, and easy to access My entire stay there was wonderful Breakfast was included and everyone was helpful and courteous There was also a Whole Foods one block away –so beneficial Thanks to all the great people who made my stay worthwhile; I will definitely stay again when I return to B-more

Danielle Jackson

For the past three months, I have traveled a great deal and I have stayed in countless hotels This Hyatt hotel is hands down the best hotel that I have ever stayed at due to many reasons This hotel is always spotless, providing a great selection of food and beverage items throughout the day, and it sits in prime location

Located right in Harbor East, there is sufficient stores for shopping and endless 5 star dining options Aside from the aforementioned, the most important reason why I stay at this hotel is the customer service! Charlotte at the front desk and Charles in the valet parking always greet me with smiles and wonderful customer service Then there is Stan Stan is has gone above and beyond accommodating me from navigating through 3rd party booking challenges to assisting me with the perfect room for my extended stay! His personality, professionalism and detail of consistent customer care has far exceeded my expectationsI only stay at Hyatt Place Baltimore Inner Harbor when I am in town!

Great place! Definitely worth the price, kind reception, good breakfasts, and pretty clean place No fault of the hotel – but woken in the middle of the night many times to loud cars in the parking and screaming in the hallways I wish the hotel handled that better and also the people who sit/sleep in their cars in the parking lot? They can be a little frightening when you are trying to get home late or leave early

Winter Woods

The previous reviews of this hotel must have been paid testimonials, because overall, this was by far the WORST hotel experience I have ever paid for I will NEVER stay at this hotel again, and I recommend that others looking for a more affordable option stick to Holiday Inn At least they give you the basics

I felt like I had just moved into a college dorm room completely unprepared, with nothing but my suitcaseThe Sonesta ES Suites in Columbia Baltimore was very run down The rooms look amazing online, but they are nothing like that in person The least they could have done was ensure the room was cleaned properly But with trash left between the nightstand and bed, missing bar soap and sofa cushions, spotty hot water, and no cable access, it was not up the standards I expect from a hotel The internet is so bad, I had to go to Starbucks everyday to finish my work I would’ve been better off staying at an AirBnB that had no amenities I assumed that a pet friendly hotel would put more effort into cleaning My room smelled like wet dog all 3 weeks I was there I had to light a candle everyday to try to mask the smell There is also no access ice, water or any type of vending There was a water dispenser in the gym, but to be honest, I’m not sure if it was filtered It looked like they had a snack shop at the front desk, but with all the mess behind the counter, I couldn’t really tell if they were selling the snacks, or if they were for the staffThe front desk staff members are very unhelpful and have terrible customer service skills They act like they hate their jobs and doing anything to assist you is a huge inconvenience The manager I spoke with wasn’t friendly and instead of fixing the issues in the room I was given, just put me in another room that had just as many, if not more, issues than my original room The walls are EXTREMELY thin, so much so that you can hear someone sneeze not to mention entire phone conversations The laundry facilities are trash, so you’d be better off washing your clothes in the sink And breakfast was hit or miss I suppose it’s a good option if you want free food, but if you don’t like microwaved eggs and sausage, just use the in-room kitchen to make better food It may take 30 minutes to boil water on the tiny hot plate, but it’s an option I would give zero stars if I could

Would’ve been much better if we’d had curtains in the eastern facing windows Guess they want you up early Everything is clean

Bed is very firm Building looks like they have recently renovated itAddition: there were only electrical outlets on one side of the bed No table or lamp or anything for the other side We were in room 501 Our friends were in 204 and they did have curtains A/C worked great If anyone used the spiral staircase everyone in the building could hear it To be fair, it is a really old building Not sure I like the “no contact” and all electronic check in I’d at least have liked to have had a phone number for someone if I had a problem Decent place but probably wo t stay there again mainly due to the price being so high and how little you get for it

D S

The positive: The unit was clean Bed was comfortable Air-conditioning worked

Nice TV in the room Neat looking building from the exterior They honored the AAA price for the unit (10% discount) Truly a contactless facility if your worried about CovidThe negative: No staff in the building to help you if you need it When you do need to contact them you have to contact them via email and response time varied significantly (it was never immediate, but they did eventually respond) The phone number for the facility online is disconnected Limited number of electrical outlets in the room making it difficult with 3 people are in the room No where to store your luggage temporarily on check out day if you have a late afternoon flight (there is no front desk)— contacted them via email and was only given an option of paying an additional $45 for a late checkout which was very inconvenient “Cleaning fee” Raises the price significantly of the unit per night We had no one clean our unit while we were there for only 2 nights (our choice), but still paid the flat $75 fee for the cleaning For the same $150 I paid for each night I could’ve stayed at a Hyatt downtown and had breakfast provided plus be much closer to downtown and all of the restaurants/activities Instead had to pay for Uber to get downtown because really did not feel safe walking around the neighborhood

Alice Gottesman

While my stay at the Hotel Brexton was overall a positive experience, I did want to share why I am only giving it 3 stars:- The check-in process is confusing You need to go through it digitally since the hotel is all contactless There is no one physically at the hotel to help you

– The elevator inspection and registration expired in January 2022 I reached out to their virtual front desk about updating it and did not receive a response- Misleading amenities Microwave was listed as an amenity, but the room did not have one—there was one microwave in the lobby Netflix was listed as an amenity, but I had to sign into my own account on their Roku- The bathroom sink was very difficult to turn off and water would sometimes overflow from the handle- The water temperature of the bathroom sink and the shower seemed to have two settings: hot and scorching hot- Paid for a cleaning fee but the room was never cleaned during my 5 night stay- I’ve seen similar reviews, which concerns me regarding the hotel’s diligence in addressing known issuesAll of that said, the room was clean, comfortable, and got lots of natural light However, it’s overpriced for what you get and is best for someone low-maintenance

The entire experience there was spectacular, relaxing and just amazing The two room hotel that my mom and I stayed in was clean, smelled good, and was beautiful The beds were comfy

It had a coffee pot There was a super big tv available with all the channels one would wantBut there are two special people who work here and that is the hotel manager Nikki and the overnight front desk agent Andrew Nikki has so much compassion, class, and honor She really helped my mom and I out when we had an home emergency She was right there with her warmth and understanding Andrew also was a true gentleman overnight He was cool, caring and funnyIt was a memorable experienceHighly recommend a stay there

Tom Hodges

I booked 2 rooms when I got my confirmation it only had 1 room so I called to make sure I had 2 rooms I confirmed on checking in I attempted to book 2 rooms only received one confirmation I was charged for two rooms and then I received an additional charge 2 days later for another room and was unable to get a manager to talk to me to take to charge off

In addition to that the 1 room had a terrible smellterrible service and no follow uphad to call my credit card provider to dispute false charge

Henry K

I hoped for much better I decided to stay here based on being a Hilton member and expecting a basic comfortable room The room was great on the cleanliness side and the amenities were okay which were fine weather decent room setup

The problems were the basics The bed and pillows feel like they were from a cut rate hotel complete with squeaky springs in the bed Very uncomfortableThe hot water was inadequate as well The water barely got warm on the first morning, and a little bit better the second The third morning it was better but it was also later in the morning The explanation was that everyone was probably trying to shower at the same time For a major hotel chain that should not happenThe location worked out well for me but I’ll be considering other options next time down

I will never ever stay here again Decided to go see my sister and her family for the weekend So we ended up getting the holiday inn express

I have never had any issues with a holiday day inn My son woke me up to show me a bug on the wall Then we started seeing more on the window and even one on the bed Once the sun came up you can see that there have been other bugs The room walls had bug splatter juices on its walls 🤢I couldn’t sleep after that My son was hungry, the hotel has free breakfast So I went with him so he can get food I don’t know who eats raw bacon but that food was not good at all The bacon was so under cooked But wait before we even left to go down stairs there was a mouse that was next to my sneaker and ran out the room I did go to the front desk to complain They wrote the information down and said we will see what we can do Maybe we can switch your room, I don’t want another room because we were checking out I haven’t heard from anyone from the hotel As a business they should have at least the decency to call a customer back that had a complaint about where they stayed, eat etc Especially if money was spent But never again will we stay at this Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Owings Mills Maryland
