Thumbs up to “General Manager” Rakesh Patel He made sure I had the best service I could ever ask for staying at that hotel He helped make my stay very good while I was there

Plus everything was clean when I checked into my room Patel recommended places to eat, transportation to take, and helped me when I decided to extend my stay His knowledge of the area is impressive An besides my room being clean I had a microwave & mini refrigerator for my use The only problem I had there was the plumbing When I was just taking a whiz it was all good, however when I had to drop more than that the toilet was responding very slow after that You definitely have to wait for the water to settle before you can use it again An it took time, there maintenance needs to increase the water pressure Other than that I liked my stay there

If you need a room in the area, it is the best option overall for location + priceIt is clean, staff polite and courteous, comfortable and the #1 suggestion I give guests who visit, but require their own spaceIt is not hit or miss They are consistent

Happy Camper

I am not going back to this place I have been here 3 times They don’t change their beddings , they just make beds

First night, I slept on top of the covers, they had yellow stains on the between the sheets On my second visit, the room seemed clean On the third visit, the duvet cover had blood stains or something like itBed sheets were wrinkled indicating they were slept in and there was napkin behind the nightstand Hire a house Keeping manager with 20/20 vision to walk through the rooms Extremely disgusting!

Pretty gross Our room wasn’t cleaned before we checked in and the voicemail to contact the staff was full By the time we could get ahold of them, we had already assumed the staff’s tip to buy cleaning supplies and cleaned the room ourselves

Writing this review because management doesn’t seem interested in replying to the email I sent so I am happy to let others know they should not stay here

Charlotte Caddel

We had a couple issues (A/C not working, middle of mattress collapsed) but they were fixed fast by the staff (we would have been moved into another room if there was one available, apparently, which is nice) Overall, besides that, the stay was great Really nice apartment with two beds and a fold out couch, two bathrooms, and a washer and dryer

Nearby is Loyola of course, but also places to eat (Five Guys, etc) and a CVS for shopping Plus, it’s right next to the train (subway) station Great stay, all in all

Jennifer Price

We were impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, and the professionalism of the staff The “rooms” are more like apartments; complete with a full kitchen, sofa bed, and bedroom There are even balconies for sitting outside in warm weather! The location is convenient to the Red line “L” station, restaurants, and of course, the Loyola campus

The Flats at Loyola Station will be our first choice when visiting the city

This is one of the worst hotel experiences that I have ever had The staff was pretty friendly upon check-in, but it went downhill from there We needed a place to sleep for my son’s wedding

Nothing extravagant because we were so busy Every time we returned to our room it smelled like smoke, very distinct smell that resembled drug use The response from the front desk was, “That’s weird” On the second night, our car was broken into Nothing was stolen, but that was the final straw We decided not to stay the last night of our reservation Since we prepaid, they refused to refund the final night’s stay I would not recommend at all There are much better places to stay that are very helpful, friendly, and sympathetic

Priyal Mangla

10/10 *claps*The lady at the front desk, provided the best customer serviceWe were a family of 4, and we reached the hotel well before the checkin timings as out flight landed at 7The lady guided us to lodge the luggage and wait for sometime

And to our surprise, as soon as the room was ready, she checked us in! We also received a room upgradeThis woman was an angel in disguise I can’t recall her name, but I remember she wore specs had black hair and was youngTheir breakfast menu included everything essential Omelettes, waffles, and breads were super good and deliciousThe place is at a very optimum location- bus service is nearby There is a supermarket and Dunkin at walking distance too

Stayed here a few days while visiting the area on business First, let me commend the front desk staff Everyone I spoke to on the phone was so helpful

Then when I arrived, they were very attentive Second, my room was ready, very clean and comfortable Third, the rate was reasonable Fourth, great location in relation to O’Hare airport Hope to stay here the next time I’m in the area

Nicole Perkins

This was one of the worst experience ever I can’t believe how they lied this is not a 4 nothing hotel It’s ants all over the rooms they are not cleaning the rooms like they are supposed to

No microwave in the room The bathroom was still dirty Someone used it didn’t flush the toilet My key didn’t work to my room we tried 3 times before she gave me another key When I told her about the ants she said well it’s ants everywhere I’m sure the purpose of saying that

This was a beautiful Air B&B for two! It is right across the street from DePaul (Lincoln Park) and a 5 minute walk to the El for a 15 minute ride to the heart of Magnificent Mile The owner was very kind but unfortunately COVID caused her to not feel comfortable to have long friendly conversation Great stay for a DePaul parent visit and if our daughter goes to DePaul we would definitely try to stay again! Down the street are fun restaurants and there are parks to enjoy

The room was very pretty and comfortable Big tip!! Have breakfast/lunch at the Bourgeois Pig Cafe

Lindsay Hoover

Very warm and welcoming; exceeded our expectations! We were in the city to visit family in the Lincoln Park neighborhood for the weekend Loved our beautiful, large and sunny private suite We are frequent travelers and had never experienced an inn quite this special

Perfect stay in a bustling city neighborhood (ps, special touch: The host ran out to pick up fresh organic cream for our coffee, because that’s the way we like it Such a delight)

This Comfort Suites is run down but they are doing their best There is no breakfast to speak but the staff is friendly During the week it is a nice quite place but on the weekends this hotel is hopping

Loud parties, cigarette and marijuana smoke and lots of people running around If you want to relive your college days I highly recommend booking a weekend stay here

Hannah Jones

NOT for groups!!!We were promised a meeting space with our group, and this was a deciding factor in choosing the hotel However, upon arrival we were told that the new owners do not rent out the room or that it would be $300 (which is a drastic overprice, the room was not good quality other than having tables and chairs) The only bright spot was the evening employee who listened to us and helped us work out something for our group of students

I would NOT recommend this hotel for groups, especially if you are looking to have space to be together The new management is horrible, and clearly they don’t value groups We were also scolded for a noise complaint that was not even our students I would never come back

Clean, comfortable room I got upgraded to a king suite Nice staff

Ideal location for me Just three things I was not happy about-Channel up/down on the TV remote didn’t work Had to manually put in channels Hard to do when you don’t know the channel numbers-Phone in room didn’t work-I was told pool was heated It was not

Cat 3

Pros: Comfortable beds, quiet, the pool is huge Showers had good water pressure The front desk guy that I saw the most was super nice and helpful

Cons: Things that were listed on the website were either unavailable or not true (no free breakfast, the pool is NOT heated, the restaurant is not open) If you have a lot of luggage and need to haul it in with a cart the entrance from the side parking lot isn’t accessible (there’s a step to get in the door) and the back parking lot is gravelI think a lot of the cons wouldn’t have stung so much if the price per night hadn’t been so high I kind of ate the cost because I thought I was paying for the amenties, but to get there and have to go to WalMart to get microwave breakfasts and dinners suckedI would only stay here again if the rooms were 100 or less a night, or if they got the breakfast/restaurant situation straightened out

Richard Willer

AWFUL place to stay including management I took pictures of my room that I will be posting on other social mediaThe room was not cleaned

An opened beer was in the fridge, safety bobby pin on the floor, tape literally holding some of the wall together, and the mirror when steamed stated ‘TRUMP 2021!’ I talked to the supervisor when he came in at 4pm only to say they will just take 20% off and can’t find any product to remove the sign on the mirror! Room preparation is a simple task Hotels accept damage deposits, so most issues should be an easy fix, just buy a new mirror or washing product then! Seems very lazy on staff

Lovely hostel experience! Check in was simple and accommodating Clean and tidy room Great outdoor sitting space out back

If you get there early enough, they have parking available- which I definitely recommend splurging to get if you bring a car To park on the street, I noticed you needed to have a permit The breakfast in the morning was simple yet good too

Absolutely fantastic place We traveled from Tampa, FL to Chicago and needed a late check-in since our flight got in at 11:55pm They were more than accommodating and friendly about the situation

No issues at check-in, super easy process We stayed in a private quad room It had a large shower and bathroom included in our room There was a sink, desk with lamp, and closet There were plenty of outlets to charge our phones We always travel with travel pillows and extra blankets The pillows were nice but I would suggest bringing your own blanket if you can Our room was cold, which I prefer, but it was cold (mid-May) I felt safe and it was actually very quiet I would suggest bringing $1 bills and quarters for the vending machines We don’t typically eat breakfast but there were bananas that we snagged Would definitely stay here again It was perfect for what we needed as we were out and about in Chicago all day

Alana Aly

Check in was super easy!! shout out to Scott at the front desk- thank you homie! The shared kitchen/entertainment space is pretty dope, met a couple of really cool people! Each room is a private room, super clean and weirdly smells good! The shared bathrooms were clean, plenty of space, and not overly used so you mostly get privacy! The location is awesome!!!!!! A few minute walk to several bus stops, and in a nice area too! They even have luggage storage so you can roam around the city after check out! The front desk is open 24/7 and their super helpful!! 100% will come here again and already recommending it to my fellow travelers!

This place is run very very well My first encounter was with Debra, who was extremely polite and very helpful Then when I checked in, she bent over backwards to accommodate us in every way

She’s been consistently pleasant, and goes the extra mile Everyone has been great Darryl always checks up on us, as does Marco, and Keith is a fantastic general managerThis stay has been a very pleasant surprise because of the very efficient way that it’s runRecommend

Elizabeth Beyer

The price is affordable for short and long term stays The staff there are very friendly and super helpful Monica is one of the best staff at the hotel

She’s made me and my husband feel more than welcome and comfortable during our 3 week stay The housekeeping doesn’t always keep up with exchanging towels, supplying toilet paper and giving fresh bed sheets but every time Monica was on shift she always checked and made sure that everything was satisfactory and our needs and wants were met Thank you for the wonderful stay

Kathy Bellas

I Also am wondering why this Hotel isn’t rated higher I have been to many, many Motel6 and this is the best one I ran across by far I really think they are rated too low

Karla works at the front deskShe is very polite &patientAlways Greets u with a smile and never has a attitude problem with the guestWorks very good under pressureKeep up the good work!!

Fairly nice hotel My wife is a housekeeper, so it was definitely “DIRTY” according to her, but when hotel staff are only given 15 minutes to flip a room, what can you expect Sheets were clean

down to the mattress pad (yes, she checked)There were a LOT of kids at the hotel the weekend we stayed so the pool was overflowing It was quiet at night thoughBreakfast is hot as others have said and plenty to choose from, but the floors are in need of a sweep as others have saidOur floors had been replaced with laminate, so less concern of bugsFor $100 on a Saturday night on St Patrick’s Day WeekendI suppose it was pretty good

Barb Price

Fantastic service, excellent rate A bed so comfortable I don’t want to get out of it Absolutely spotless room

So glad to find this place after dealing with another Choice Hotel that I would NOT recommend–the Comfort Inn on Barrington at Hoffman EstatesEdit: Just had their wonderful breakfast that is included in room rate Waffle station, cold cereal, scrambled eggs, link sausage, fruit, toast, coffee, juice, and more–all done rightAnd the bathtub is fantastic for soaking They have a pool and hot tub here, but I won’t have time to try those

Michelle Howe

Avoid at all costs Yes, it’s in a convenient location, but it is dirty I’m also sensitive to humidity, and it was VERY humid in the lobby and the room

We ran the air for three hours and the room was still too warm The maintenance guy was less than helpful We ended up spending just $25 more per night to stay at a much nicer place 10 minutes away

Everything was rich in history and so deeply connected with authenticity that it took my breath away

I absolutely loved the stairs from outside and the doors coming into the lobby and of course the spiral staircase outside, that lead to the upstairs balcony which had a Jacuzzi I especially love the French doors going into my room, it was adorable and very homey, having access to the balcony straight to the hot tub was why I picked it I slept like a rock and really enjoyed being able to go into the kitchen when I get up randomly at 4/5 am This kitchen had almost everything I eat at home plus a few other amazing choices The other guests were awesome and friendly, and it feels nice to connect with others that are also from out of state Beautiful place wonderful atmosphere and will be coming back! Thank you so much Don!

Keith Weisz

Absolutely fantastic experience Brooke and Don’s communication has superb By far the nicest B&B we have ever stayed in

The location was perfect, the room was magnificent, and the breakfasts were delicious I could not think of a better place to stay for a weekend getaway to Chicago Thank you so much for helping making this trip happen!

Khelsie Mercado

This place was one of the best BNBs I’ve ever stayed at The property & building itself was very beautiful, lots of nice touches throughout We stayed in the Venetian suite, which led out to the patio/deck, although we didn’t get to enjoy that much because of the snow

Breakfast was pretty standard, but loved how readily available the food was in the kitchen (which is basically my dream kitchen) The surrounding area is really nice; walkable bars & restaurants, but also quiet streets/neighborhood We will definitely be staying here again!

I stayed here twice in the last 2 weeks, and had a great experience both times I stayed in a shared room I highly recommend this beautiful spot if you like saving money while still getting a great place to sleep

All the people I met were really cool, respectful, and kept their areas nice Do remember to bring a lock if you’d like to secure your belongings All of the employees I met were great, and the rules were clear and logical for a hostel Best price in Chicago for what you are getting, by far

Srujana Kuna

The rooms were clean and spacious We appreciated the closet in the room that allowed us to put luggage out the way The kitchen and common area were clean and easy to use

The staff (front desk and cleaners) was very accommodating and very helpfulThe bath tubs had leftover water in a depression towards the front It was not great but not gross There was a line for the bathrooms around 8-10am so have to plan around that

Alison Zimmer

The location is great Check-in and out was simple and staff were friendly The room was basic, but clean and well-equipped

Sometimes you had to wait for the bathroom, particularly in the mornings when people would line up for showersOur room was right next to the lobby and you could hear all conversations – including some at 1am and 6am It wasn’t super rowdy but I wish the quiet hours were better enforced/the front desk asked people to move to their rooms or outside
