My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night because our reception was right next door at MEC We were not impressed… We didn’t have time to check in earlier in the day so when we got there after the reception they said we couldn’t check in because it was so late

We apologized for not being able to check in earlier and basically had to beg them to let us check into our honeymoon suite which we had booked for months They never told us what time check in ended, so how were we supposed to know? Finally they decided to let us check into our room But overall the front desk service was very bad The manager, who I had been in contact with for months, was there too and he didn’t seem to care that we were the exhausted bride and groom just trying to check in on our wedding night I’d expect more from a hotel right next door to a prominent wedding venue

Kryptic Studio

Stayed for a week Horrible staff due to the rude and impoliteness Once I was ordering food from Uber and the desk counter lady yelled at the delivery driver and banned him from ever coming to the hotel

The rooms are bare minimum Chairs are falling apart, stains all over the carpets/ bed sets, However the maids were really nice and cleaned well if you brought the issue to them

Deb Walter

We stayed here because it is so close to the Entertainment Center but for the money, it’s not a very nice room Needs updating for sure Lamps looked very old and one didn’t even work so lighting was terrible

Has green worn indoor outdoor carpet Found a small Christmas bulb along the floorboard next to the dresser Don’t know how housekeeping missed it! Also there was a used bar of soap in the shower Eww! No art work on the walls Mattress was pretty comfortable Not worth what they charge Definitely are paying for the convenience of being close to the entertainment center Staff was very nice

Yes, we can recommend this motel Prices have gone up for hotels/motels, so we were trying to find a fresh and clean place to stay in the Twin Cities location that was handy for our visit This La Quinta Inn worked out perfectly for that

The price was much less than the more centrally located Mpls lodgings, and parking was free There is no pool, but we never use that feature anyways Breakfast is included in the price and was good Room was clean Lobby was dated, but clean Fresh paint on outside of building and interior hallways , lobby and breakfast dining area are kept clean Staff were friendly and helpful A safe, comfortable and pleasant stay

Denise Johnson

The key cards didn’t work, due to a malfunction in the lock, so we were locked out of our room until the next morning We were given another room, but were not able to access our belongings There were bugs in the room, breakfast options were slim

Beds were comfortable, hotel is older, needs some work Staff was nice enough, I have not received a refund for the room we were locked out of, as I was promised I wouldn’tchoose to stay here again

Jamia Naomi

I had to edit my review because I had TWO wasps in my room ! They’re infested with other bugs as wells so they didn’t take my call serious! I have a 2 year old with me That was an incredibly dangerous situation!! Some of the staff members need to work on their attitudeother than that the cleaning crew is great

Their supervisor could use some work The breakfast is great! As long as you avoid the staff and bugs you’ll be fine

Brides beware, if you’re thinking of booking a room block here, reconsider We booked our June 2022 wedding block a year in advance with the hotel manager who at the time was so helpful and let us choose one of the few suites they have so our wedding party would have a place to get ready and we would have somewhere to go after our wedding in the evening I called a week before the wedding to confirm every person’s hotel room that was in the room block as well as our booked suite was correct to make sure there was no stress for the big day and they assured me everything was fine and provided all of the information requested

Our guests booked their rooms throughout the year and upon arrival many of them had numerous mistakes with their rooms or were double booked or were booked for the wrong nights When I arrived to check in they did not have our suite that we booked a year in advance to use as the bridal suite available We were told there was a plumbing issue in the room and it was no longer available, if someone books an entire room block around a bridal suite room you should probably let them know before they check in at 7 PM the day before their wedding that their room is not available… we were instead offered a small room with a Jacuzzi taking up most of the living room as a replacement The front desk girl working that evening clearly started five minutes ago and was on a Bluetooth headset with her manager the entire night learning how to do her job repeating verbatim what her manager was telling her to tell us… Other people from our wedding party spoke with the manager as well and nothing was done about our room not being available I’m sure that our room was just fine and they messed up the reservation or purposely gave it to someone else for more money as it was suddenly available the following day later in the evening but we didn’t have time to change accommodations in the middle of our wedding and we didn’t need the room anymore as everyone was already ready hours before overall the hotel was dirty and dated and I wouldn’t have chosen it again even if it weren’t for all the headaches It was very stressful and luckily was the only thing that went wrong with our wedding It’s too bad the wonderful manager we originally booked with had since left and management has clearly fallen apart and quit hiring competent staff If you’re looking for a hotel block for a wedding I would not risk the stress of this location

I stayed here on 4/28 The lobby is your standard Americinn Looks stately and clean

The breakfast was good for the price and being freeMy issues start with the hotel room They are recently remodeled in the sleeping area and look nice However the bathrooms are old The shower head was almost completely covered in calcium and the water was very hardThe door had a bend in the metal footer which was sharp, and the carpet on the wall was peeling If you stay here, remember extra pillows, the ones supplied are smallThey have a pool which I did not use

Front desk staff were incredibly nice and professional The room was very, very clean Nice bathroom soaps

Also the rooms have NO CARPET! I hate hotel carpet It’s always so filthy But not here! Instead they have lovely grey wood flooring And those lamps-clear acrylic with bubbles in them Very pretty and up to date decor Beds and pillows were so comfy! And like I said, it was so clean! Great price I highly recommend!

The room was clean, the hotel was well kept, and the free breakfast was good However, I had an issue during check in that tainted my experience throughout my stay I had a six-hour flight delay due to a snowstorm, so I ended up arriving at the hotel at about 4:30 AM the following morning

(I had called the hotel before my flight to inform them about my late check-in and my situation) But when I arrived, I was told that my reservation was cancelled and that I had to make a new one The employee told me “You said you would arrive at 4 AM, I was waiting for you, and I had to do the audit so I removed the reservation” The way that was communicated made me feel like I was to blame for a situation that was out of my control Not only that, but I ended up paying more for a king bed because “all the queens were full”, and I had to pay more than the rate I had when I originally booked on Expedia a month ago And to top it all off: the duration of my stay was 4 nights, but he mistakenly charged me for 1 night, so I had to return to the front desk the next morning to add the extra nights Needless to say this was very distressing to deal with after a long night of traveling and lack of sleep I do want to acknowledge the friendliness of the rest of the staff, however, especially the one girl who worked with management to resolve my issue and honor my original room rate I had chosen this hotel because it was within my budget, had good reviews, and was conveniently located near my boyfriend’s house Unfortunately, I do not think I will be staying here again

We came to Eden Prairie to see our grandma in the nursing home a few blocks away from this motel We enjoyed our stay here in room 309 The room was clean

We like that there was not carpet but hard flooring instead That’s less dander etc Breakfast was eggs, sausage, waffles, a variety of pasties, bagels, breads, cereal, Oatmeal, yogurt, juice and milk Staff spoke limited English but were friendly We reserved a room for both our parents and us Our parents came into town earlier than us, paid for their room and left to see our grandma We then came into town and repaid for their room plus ours This was re-credited to my card with no issues The location is basically right across from the EP mall It’s an older motel but clean and comfy Like most motels post covid the room isn’t cleaned until you leave That’s not an issue unless your a little piggy It’s not hard to make your own bed They are willing to clean it if asked and offered extra toiletries Overall it was a pleasant stay

The staff was very helpful and friendly But the room was exceptional!! I loved the layout of the room, so many convenient outlets and the bed was so comfortable I appreciate the thought that went into designing the bathroom! It was very inviting and comfortable

The room was also so incredibly clean! Thank you for making me smile after such a bad day!

Benjamin Welle

The hotel is in a nice area of Minneapolis, and the staff was nice That’s about the only reason it received 2 stars instead of 1 The air condition kept cutting out and the staff said it’s because if you try to set it below 68/69 degrees, it randomly cuts out

So I set it to 69/70, and it’s still regularly cutting out The room stayed between 75-78 the entire stay Also, the shower curtain isn’t long enough, and it’s a walk in shower, so if you shower the ground is sopping wet in the bathroom I tried to go down to the hotel bar this evening for a drink where it’s a little bit cooler, and the bartender just didn’t show up, so it was completely shut down as well This was an extremely disappointing stay at this hotel Do better Marriott

Nice place Very clean Very Nice front desk staff

There was an Issue with the cleaning staff They started knocking on our door at 8am, waking us up They continued to knock on the door up until checkout, even letting us know we only have 5 minutes until checkout Super unprofessional I paid until 12pm, I can stay until 12pm So kind of left with a bad taste in my mouth Everything else was great 🙂

The highlight is the breakfast Waffles are good Beds definitely are not queen size

full size is more accurate With that being said the rooms are clean and it’s comfortable The parking lot is beat up The elevators are nice and fast The pool area is in the lower level and was fun but a little bit of a small space The hot tub is closed

Jenna Downey

The stay at this LaQuinta was really comforting At first glance, we thought the hotel room was pretty small, old, and were bummed out the patios weren’t able to be accessed When we checked out the pool, we were stunned because it looked out-dated, but we enjoyed our stay here nonetheless! We found the pool enjoyable even though there wasn’t much to it, and were bummed that the hot tub wasn’t working

The only real big downside was the breakfast The orange juice tasted extremely watered down, and the options were pretty limited The biggest things that mattered though was the cleanliness of our rooms & the friendliness of the staff! The rooms were tidy and clean but the walls were very thin, and we could be heard (talking in normal tone) from outside the room and we could hear others talking and moving around outside of ours All of us found the beds uncomfortable, and all of my friends had one night where they all would wake up every hour or so due to noise We booked this place due to the lower price in Minneapolis and since it was near everything, so if you’re looking for a budget place this is a good option, but consider everything listed above!

Amazing rooms Comfy beds Fridge, microwave and tv

Staff charged my card for my entire stay versus just holding my card for incidentals even though the room was already prepaid through their website! Each staff member I spoke to you gave me a different story asked to what was happening, which made my stay miserable considering they took a significant amount of money off of my card You have to reserve your shuttle from the airport Which comes at the top of every hour They state that they will shuttle you to any venue that you want but when trying to go to Mall of America which is 10 minutes away the only shuttle they had was at 6 PM and they would pick you up at 8:20 PM, the mall closes at 8 PM so you have to stand outside underneath warming lights which don’t work until the shuttle comes We used the shuttle two times and each time it was late by 30 to 40 minutes Even with that being said I tried to go to the mall called them at 5:45 and they said the last shuttle goes out at 6 PM but it was too late to order the shuttle because the driver was already doing other things The breakfast was horrible the only salvageable thing would be the waffles The apples were not even good The milk tasted gross and there was nothing except sugar for your coffee No eggs or yogurts “Hash browns” Were simply just potatoes cooked with no frying or seasoning The hot tub does not work and they will no longer be using it because it’s broken and cost too much to fix it according to staff, the pool has way too much chlorine in it and it’s freezing cold I am giving this a 2 star because the rooms themselves were fine

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it could not have been more perfect It was comfortable, clean, and so so so cozy! The inn keepers were so kind and attentive and we really felt at home It the perfect walking distance to the lake and a bunch of great shops and restaurants, which makes everything just that much easier

Thank you for a great stay!

Jill McFarling

We had a great weekend getaway at this Inn We had the cardinal room which gave the additional space of a table/chairs and kitchen It was very quiet; we didn’t hear anyone else from our suite

I loved how soft the water was; very relaxing in the big tub Delicious breakfasts The location is perfect for walking to restaurants and shops Easy parking

Mark Schabert

We stayed here for a one night anniversary vacation and time to ourselves, as we have seven children and live just a few minutes away, but didn’t want to leave the kids for too long or be too far away from them in case they needed anything We had been hoping to enjoy the lake and bike trails, but due to the unseasonably cold weather and snow, spent the afternoon/evening at the Mall of America and the night at the Inn We had a wonderful time, and the Bird House Inn was a lovely experience! Although we did not have the pleasure of meeting the owners, everything was clean and welcoming and the breakfast was very nice

The Inn is very quaint, beautifully decorated and affordable The new bathroom with large hot tub in the Bluebird Room was so nice We hope to do this again sometime Thank you!

not so much Front desk was not friendly, room was clean, sorta, but nothing was plugged in, no shower gel or shampoo in shower, left 1 toilet roll with empty cardboard toilet roll, only 1 cream for 2 coffee??leave 4 next time My spouse is allergic to feather pillows and we requested the polyester pillows Was told don’t have any leftI always recommend Hilton and Homes2Suitesjust not the one here

Was here on an extended business trip First thing I noticed was that every single plug-in I tried to use would not securely hold the plug Very frustrating when needing to plug in chargers for my laptop and phone

The microwave was missing the spinning wheel under the glass plate Modified cleaning was expected and understandable However, when service was provided it was not the best

While checking in we were greeted by a very pleasant young man He was the ONLY part of the experience that was goodOur room-A nail was sticking up and was very painful when stepped on

It was located right as you walk in or come from the bathroomSeveral pillows were horrible They washed them too many times and the inside was just big clumps of stuffing clumped togetherYou could hear all the road noise while trying to sleepIt was super muggy in the roomWhen I got to our room it was opened The door was being held open by a coat hanger at the top of the doorThe bathroom tub/drain was brokeThe faucet was extremely loose and you could move itIf you want somewhat nice TP, I suggest you bring your own 🤦‍♀️If you like to sleep in a “dark” room, this is not the place for you The 2 shades they have no DO NOT keep the light outThe bathroom door knob was clearly put on wrongThe bathroom was EXTREMELY small The tub was meant for a child, very shallowThat was just the Room! The hallway had cords hanging from the ceilingThe pool area… if you want a relaxing Hot tub, go elsewhere It was good temp, lots of room, but the keys were very weakThe pool was extremely cold and not heated up to state regulationsWe were told we had free breakfast But when my daughters went down their, they were told they had to payWhen I checked out I thought it would be nice to see someone dressed somewhat professionally, but I was wrong No name tag so I have no clue who she was She was dressed in street clothes, not professional attireI let her know my issues, but she didn’t care She barely said anything to meI did let the front desk know, but I guess they do not have a maintenance crew on site to fix issues The nail was something I would think they would want to fix asap He did say they were booked and no other rooms were availableAll in all, stay elsewhere!

My first time coming here was pleasant enough to come back a second time Now, this second time has been a dis service to me and the general manager is rude and doesn’t wanna give me a room I booked online I called corporate and they have rooms available but the general manager lied and said they didn’t

When the general manager heard me on the call with corporate the general manager admitted to having rooms but if I wanted it I would be charged extra on top of the room Also, the first time I came here I didn’t have to wait for a available room Now, this second time I have to wait until 3pm to receive an available room without an extra charge I won’t be back to this hotel ever again The lady was a cute fat white Caucasian brunette Didn’t wanna say her name This happened at the 7745 Lyndale Ave south, Richfield, MN 55423 location

Friendly staff, helpful with recommendations for dinner, clean and comfortable amenities, made to order omelets and pancakes along with breakfast bar, renovations within the hotel are not a hindrance Across the street from a shopping center which makes things convenient Bus stop located in front of the hotel- other reviews state “loitering”, but aside from local bus patrons, there was not an issue with “loitering

Upon check in, staff on duty was not visible and/or present and when she did arrive at the front desk; there were no greetings and/acknowledgments extended to myself and/or my husband I had to wait for her to come from the back to attain service Throughout my stay at this hotel; there were never any staff present at the front desk

I always had to wait several minutes for them to come from the back and reappear to assist their guests… Staff is/was cold, unfriendly and shared no concern, important or needed information with me and /or my husband A male staff told us to read the rules written on the elevator walls (Verbatim: We should have read the rules written on the elevator walls) 😲 I did not and still do not know how to respond to this statement or command)Our room was not cleaned, even after personally requesting the service due to a spill on the sheets Staff said workers do/did not speak English and therefore, do not understand and only nod their heads 😲 (I received so many non caring excuses, attitudes and behaviors from the staff) We had no bathroom tissue to use from day one (We we’re completely out) The front desk gave us a card to request daily housekeeping service on the date of our checkout/departure with another guest room number/ private information written on the card: Room 509 (My stay in/was in a completely separate room) I spoke with a male staff at the front desk about the significant substandard to non(zero), quality of care and safety concerns due to my receiving another customers private room /information, and he immediately became hostile in demeanor, voice tone and attitude and began to tell me to be quiet because he was going to talk and tell me how the hotel runs I immediately became fearful of this staff worker due to his excessive and Increasing amount of aggression/warlike verbal uncontrollable outbursts towards myself due to my sharing the present experiences during my stay in which I paid the amount of money requested by IHG, in exchange and agreement for a pleasant, clean, friendly and safe environment and staff; and none of these agreements were met and/or happened for myself and/or my husbandLastly, a staff member told my husband and myself that we could both retrieve two free snacks each upon check in We retrieved one free snack during the morning and returned the evening and retrieved the second snack and we were charged on our credit card in the middle of the night, (fraudulent, immoral, dishonest, and overall dishonest) service for the snacks I am a 21 year total disabled Amy Veteran and I use IHG to stay when I to travel for medical appointments and/or VA related concerns and this is the most unethical, disrespectful, selfish, zero integrity, zero honor, zero dignity, zero excellence and zero commitment to their guestUpon advocacy for myself; I am/was treated with confrontational, unfriendly, unwelcoming, malevolent, negative, uncomfortable and frightening, oppositional and I’ll-tempered staff interactions and servicesI would never recommend anyone to stay nor give your business to this IHG I never say never; but today I am asking anyone who has/is considering spending your hard earned money at this IHG… Please don’t do it… Take a few extra minutes of your precious time and look a little longer and choose another company who desires and enjoys the people in whom they have agreed/pledged to service in exchange and/or agreement/return for an agreed amount of moneyOur hard earned and worked for moneyMy fellow brothers and sisters in arms, please do not solicit and/or support, physically stop by or look in the direction this sad, unappreciative and disappointing hotel… and staff…Thank you… I

This is a public service statement as well as a rating This place was a disappointment and I would suggest that you seek other hotels in the area I selected this motel as they had indicated in their on-line advertisement that there was a lounge and a restaurant in the hotel, but there was not

The price of the hotel was actually higher than others in the area (that offered hot breakfast in the morning as part of their stated price) Not only did Sonesta not have a restaurant, but they did not offer a complimentary breakfast; they did have some very basic and limited breakfast items at a counter that were available only for purchase For example, there was no complimentary coffee in the lobby I had to purchase a cup of coffee from a counter, after waiting 15 minutes for someone to man the counter and pour me that cup of coffee The cup of coffee was nothing special, but they charged me $600; and the worker thereafter indicated that it would be another purchase for a refill If you wanted to eat something for breakfast and if you were to purchase just basic items (hard boiled egg, small box of cereal, banana and some milk) it would be cheaper for you to drive to a local restaurant and buy breakfast There were no USP ports in the room to charge devices The hot tub was warm at best and the jets were weak To top it all off, before we arrived there was a ceiling tile that fell in the hallway near our room, and there was water and wet carpets on the hallway floor during the duration of our stay Seriously, you would be better off spending your money at another hotel in the area, you would then have free coffee, a warm breakfast, and USB ports for a lower price

We originally stayed here for a week and then extended for a longer period of time because my husband is working here for a month or soAt first the hotel was great except for no breakfast, not restaurant or bar ! ThenThe hot tub was drained and we were told they were refilling it and putting chemicals back in but a week later nothing was done to it and the pool was cloudy and green too ! Evidentially there was no maintenance done on it and no one seemed worried about getting it doneDanielle is great!! ! I can’t say enough about her customer service and her personality! She speaks to everyone in a friendly , respectful manor unlike the manager Amber! Amber is very rude and complained to us about working as many hours as she does which I feel was very unprofessional and no excuse for being so rude ! I’m guessing she treats her employees like she treats hotel guest and that’s probably why the whole housekeeping staff quit on her one day ! Our entire stay we never asked for our room to be cleaned because the housekeeping staff was so overworked so we would ask for sheets and towels and kept our room in order ourselves Again I can’t say enough about how great Danielle is ! The staff should take lesions from her about customer service !

Bad service Was hung up on trying to make a reservation Was going to stay for a wedding, but decided not to after talking to Lynn, as I’ve never received such rude service

The pool and the hot tub were closed No free breakfast I get there is a labor shortage, but that is no excuse to be rude to potential guests I decided to stay elsewhere
