We had a wonderful time with our family Lovely rooms with lots of space to stretch out after a long day in the car We had a late lunch in the hotel restaurant and felt really safe in the large, well ventilated space

We had dinner in our room since it was a bit more crowded by then Though there are other places nearby to eat, the food in-house was excellent with several really good vegan options The staff was incredible, there was always someone to ask a question of, we requested extra linens and received them immediately The market by the front desk was also very convenient for last minute things When I went to load up the car before sunrise, there was security personnel in the lobby which made me feel safer about being outside alone in the dark Our only critique is that our room had a door to connect it to the adjacent room We heard some loud talking /laughing late at night It was very minor and it seems if you are close to the door your neighbor will hear you

This is a must stay!! If I had more time I would have booked extra nights! The hotel is simply beautiful and the staff is super friendly I met and spoke with a manager (Mr Matt) , dishwasher (Mr

Tim) , clerk (Mr Phil) and server (Ms Brittney) all in 1 day and every last person was very kind and professionalI didn’t have opportunity to see pool or workout area but rest assured you will not be disappointed with your stay at this hotel It’s somewhat secluded BUT you are close to restaurants etcThey were having a wedding when I arrived As a titanium member I was able to go to club on 7th floor for cocktails ($5 each) and breakfast the next morningI highly recommend staying at this hotel!!! The photos online are an exact representation of what to expect!!!

Lamont Ross427

Did not rate the rooms because we have not stayed there But the 1st impression was wonderful, we went to see if we can see the place We are looking for a place to have our wedding reception, the Manager took time to show myself & wife the facility & he explained that he had his wedding there

Great 1st impression, so we are thinking about hosting our wedding reception there Really nice

I could not believe it was that clean in all the areas I was in including the room Then to add a full morning breakfastwas topping the whole the stayAnd yes the staff behavior was respectful

I’ve never paid a price like that before but was glad I did and check out was not until 12 noon After that, stay about a week later stayed at another company hotel because it was cheaper and was disappointed that I couldn’t be back here Don’t know to pay mortgage price for a room but did enjoy my time

Tammy Houser

I enjoyed my stay very much The room was clean and the pillows were the most comfortable pillows you could get from a hotel The fire alarm was messed up and woke us up at 4 in the morning and when you have a 4 and 7 year old to wake them up was not good

The pool was also down for maintenance wish they would’ve told me when I booked the room a month in advance It had been down since February and I was there in May Still would go there again

Tania

Our stay was OK Staff was very friendly Lobby and breakfast area appeared clean

Dissapointing that pool was under maintenance so we could not use that Our room appeared clean, however there was a heavy layer of dust around the sprinkler in event of a fire The AC was VERY loud so we had difficulty sleeping in the night Also mini fridge was not working so we were unable to use it No remote for TV We did speak to front desk at checkout so hopefully it will be fixed for the next person staying there Receptionist was apologetic, very nice, and took notes We only stayed one night as we were en route to the South They have a fitness center It’s small, but useful No complaints with equipment But my biggest complaint is 1) 14 min limit on treadmill No one was using the area at all so I think it’s silly to have it auto shut off after 14 min Fitbit doesn’t even register a run unless it’s 15 min or more Whatever I just restarted to try and get the full benefits of a workout 2) After my workout, I was shocked to see no towels, disinfectant wipes to wipe anything down Gross Hand sanitizer was out I am not one to wear masks everywhere but if the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that sanitizing high germ areas and hands are very important especially for a fitness area While things are no longer shut down, masks are a thing of the past, there should still be disinfecting materials available in a fitness centercovid or not, but especially after what was experienced during the pandemicBreakfast was descent Overall for the price, it was OK Our next trip down South we will likely stay else where though

While the front desk attendant was polite and friendly, and the price was reasonable, the room itself was severely lacking We had specifically requested/booked a non – smoking room and the room reeked of cigarettes The television was oddly aligned in my opinion, and the furniture (what little there was) was dated and had clearly seen better days

Curtains and the bedspread had holes from many and varied encounters The bed itself, while thankfully lacking in any flecking or other signs of vermin, with clean sheets, was old and not very comfortable Other amenities (shower, bathroom, etc) also looked very old and dated and the sink was leakyIn summation; I feel with a top to bottom renovation, the place could be salvageable Would not stay here again Not expecting the Ritz for the price, but definitely a more comfortable room with some better amenities

Great location, walkable to restaurants and stores Super cute, updated but kitschy feel to this old building The decor is super cute

Fun bar area, and the rooftop pool is perfect for lounging although you may need to fight someone for an actual lounge chair! Also I wish the walkway between the pool and rooftop car was actually usable but it was locked Rooms are cute, bathroom is absolutely tiny, as in, only one person can even fit at a time but also cute

We checked into Graduate Richmond on 8/4/22 to attend a Conference Upon checking in and arriving to the room, we knew it was not going to be the greatest experience The carpet was filthy, the shower curtain had stains and the room just looked old and dated

We cleaned the room ourselves because it appears as if housekeeping was lacking All of the furniture in the room was completely dated and it was just dusty The building appeared completely dated We figured we would be there for only 3 nights, so we attempted to make the best of it Our party had headaches after the first nights stay which leads us to 8/5/22 Our party had headaches all day long When we returned to our room the night of 8/5/22, our carpet was completely wet We all woke up again on 8/6/22 with headaches and it was just unbearable the night of 8/7/22, so we called the front desk to inform Nicole that someone in our party was really sick and we needed to check out a day early Nicole’s response was that we would still be responsible for the cost of the stay No offer to solve the issue, switch rooms or anything So we loaded up and went downstairs to check out I asked Nicole if there was an issue with mold in the hotel and she then stated that she would send an engineer up to our room to inspect It was only after I mentioned mold, Nicole mentioned possibly finding a replacement room disregarding a person in our party was really sick Nicole mentioned that someone would be in touch? Please be mindful of some of these issues mentioned before booking here The hotel hallways are not clean, the carpet is in need of replacement and it smells bad As of this time, no resolve

Hannah Peters

I booked this hotel during the $30 deal and I definitely would not go at the normal prices When we arrived, it took about 30 minutes to get checked in We had to wait for the desk attendant to find a room

The room looked nice when we came in but we soon found there was no way to adjust the thermostat on the wall and the one under the window sill didn’t work well at all There were beads like from a kids necklace and sequins all over the carpet as well as a discarded sock It seemed like it hadn’t been vacuumed The beds were nice and comfyWe also had only three towels and no hand towels or washcloths in a room with two queen beds The soaps on the shower wall, one was missing a spout and was moldy insideWe went up to the pool which was fairly small and a guest was cleaning it out with the net because it was so dirty There were also no chairs! There was one lounge chair and two tables All of which were taken (some of which occupied by employees) There was plenty of space for more chairs there just weren’t any A kid ended up offering us his chair and some people who came after ended up just laying towels on the groundThe game room was fun but most of the games were broken or missing pieces If we had payed any more than we had, I would’ve been mad

I have stayed at the Linden Inn on previous business trips I much prefer the classic feel of the Inn as opposed to more corporate options The Inn has a charming and unique feel to it, and the rooms are dressed and decorated accordingly

The rooms themselves are huge in comparison to any hotel in which I have stayed My room had all the necessities – coffee maker, fridge, microwave, iron & ironing board – and was quite charming in appearance The hot water pressure (a personal pet peeve of mine) was excellentI had minimal interaction with the staff, but they were all very polite and helpful in terms of advice on parking and restaurantsThe Inn is located in a very pleasant neighborhood, and is in close proximity to everywhere I needed to beAll in all, a great experience, and one that I will repeat the next time I am in Richmond

Calvin Thumma

The staff was super friendly and very polite The hotel itself is super adorable It’s not as polished as newer hotels chains but the old building is very nice

The beds were comfortable, the restaurant down stairs was yummy The only thing holding this back from being 5 stars was the AC They tell you not to set the AC below 70 due to it freezing the system, so we had ours set to 71 The room never dropped below 77, the high outside for the day was 78 With the being said, we will definitely be back next time we’re in Richmond

Pat Machowski

First time in Richmond Even though we only stayed one night this is one of the best Hotel experiences I’ve ever had The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable

They are more than willing to go out of their way with whatever you need as soon as you check in I talk about atmosphere in my reviews a lot because I think it’s an important component to any location you visit, whether you’re staying the day or for the night Walking into the Linden has the feel and familiarity similar to your own homeI also wanted to mention a member of the staff who helped me out the night I stayed here I couldn’t get the vending machine to work and was about to give up when she called me over and handed me four of her own fizzy drinks, free of charge It might seem like a small gesture to some but was incredibly kind and totally unexpected Where I live things like this rarely ever happen, back up North The people here, and in general in Richmond, are really one of a kind I can’t wait to visit again someday Highly recommended Thanks for a great stay 👍 👍

NON-SMOKERS BEWARE! We brought a group here recently and booked non-smoking rooms Four out of the five rooms smelled overwhelmingly like smoke I have asthma and upon immediately entering needed to use an inhaler

When we told the front desk this, Peter initially laughed at the complaint saying people smoke in non smoking rooms He offered us a refund or Febreeze If it was just myself, I would have taken the refund right then and there Since we had a group we had to confirm that we could move everyone elsewhere It took about twenty minutes to secure lodging elsewhere When we asked for a refund, because of the smoking rooms the refund was no longer available He said he’d give 50% for each room because we used all the rooms for thirty minutes He was completely rude and offered contradicting statements throughout our exchange If you have elsewhere to stay, especially if you’re sensitive to smoke do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere

LaVonne Jackson

When the room was booked online I didn’t see where or if they a $50 deposit notice on the site When I went to check in they told me I had to pay that deposit The room were upgraded which was good but the appliances like the lamp was rusted

The last I stayed there they had a bug infection I had to move rooms They do have breakfast there

Easy location to get into Richmond the back way Airplanes have not been an issue, the rooms are quiet Lots of cameras make it feel safer

Maintenance is responsive and friendly Front office staff are professional and very pleasant I haven’t had housekeeping in, but they’ve offered, and the rooms are clean It’s a good deal at that room rate They have sold out every night, so make sure to book early in the morning or the previous day I would not recommend the hotel beside this one It’s a completely different atmosphere over there, and separated by a fence

Kaitlyn Tate

This Motel is definitely the best kept motel 6 The rooms are clean and the people are awesome No unwanted bugs and lucky for us no pet fees and great rates

Tiffany, Miss Grace are Tia are wonderful and very attentive It’s extremely well lit at night in the parking lot and no creepy, unwanted behavior at night I would definitely recommend!

David Lyons

If it wasn’t for the holiday and the last second trip to the area, I would have immediately canceled my reservation as soon as I entered the lobby The staff was nice, but the place reeked of pot and they had their friends waiting talking about going to the strip club in front of my 6 year old daughter The entire property had the smell of pot everywhere including the non smoking room I got

When the AC was turned on, the smell filled my room making it unbearable It’s a shame as it appears that the room had recently been renovated and it’s already ruined

This review is more for the customer service than the stay or facilities I left a nice pair of nice sunglasses and didn’t realize it until 3 weeks after my stay I thought I had just lost them, but didn’t know where

I called, a rep asked me to describe the lost sunglasses, confirmed they were in the lost and found, and offered to have them shipped to me I paid the postage, emailed them the label, and got my shades back a few days later Thank you!!The hotel was nice place to spend a few days while my son had a swim meet in the area Please staff, decent breakfast early in the morning, and nice desk area in the room that made it easy to do some zoom meetings

Morgan C.

I wish I could leave ten stars! This location is fantastic- ample parking, extremely clean, beautiful interior and best of all above-and-beyond staff like Merry Roseme Everyone we interacted with was wonderful, but she really made sure we were happy and enjoyed our stay at the hotel We will only stay at this hotel from now on when in Richmond (which is often)

Oh, the round-the-clock coffee and great breakfast spread in the morning were also much appreciated!

The pictures on the Google profile are very misleading I walked in and the lobby was full of very loud people making a scene The lady behind the counter was super nice

The manager was very accommodating giving me a room facing the direction I wanted so I could see my truck The room is extremely dated and run down Mold on the ceiling in the shower and the shower head sprayed narrow to the point my shower took twice as long as what I normally take The toilet was plugged and unusable and no it wasn’t from me Looks like it hasn’t been painted in a very long time and the clock and phone didn’t work The washcloth had a bunch of holes and I had to fold it over in half before I even attempted to wash my behind The towel was adequate for the size of a child About the only decent thing was the mattress was pretty comfortable and I actually liked the TV up by the ceiling and there was lots of channels and even a guide which a lot of motels don’t have so you can see exactly what is on In it’s current condition, I would not stay here again

Ashley Eubank

The lady at the desk was very nice and polite However, the hotel just wasn’t pleasant The halls and lobby had a strong smell of weed

My room, a nonsmoking, luckily didn’t smell too bad There was some ants in my room But the biggest issue is that until 3am, people were running up and down the halls, banging on people’s doors Staff clearly didn’t do anything about it So it’s impossible to get any sleep Great location, right next to airport Just didn’t see or get my money worth

Tamela Randolph

I wish I could give this motel a negative score! We chose this motel because of its convenient location to the airport and to friends The first evening, the police were outside the front door, and this was indicative of our stay The emergency door at the end of our hallway was blocked

Our microwave control panel was loose There were some weird stains on the carpet by the mini fridge and also on one of the walls The lights in the bathroom flashed so much we had to keep them off The hot water handle on the bathroom faucet was broken when we got to the room The ceiling over the shower was falling down No one ever came to fix anything The hallway door wouldn’t shut and lock unless we pushed/pulled on it and messed with the handle The key lock didn’t always work Good luck getting anything for breakfast Some mornings there were no cups, so we couldn’t even get coffee or juice The first morning there was no coffee When we did finally get coffee, it was full of grounds We stayed five days and only once got anything to eat – two yogurts- during breakfast hours Very rarely have I ever said I wouldn’t stay somewhere again, but I won’t ever stay here again The only good thing I have to say is one of the guys at the front desk was very nice during check-in

The good: This is an older hotel, and it shows its age, but the bed was comfortable, linens were clean and no stains, AC did the job, water pressure in the shower was incredible Breakfast was good; the make your own waffle thing is pretty neat and the lady manning the breakfast was friendlyThe bad: The bathroom was not clean

The toilet seat was up with dried urine clearly visible on the underside of the seat I had sanitary wipes with me, so I just cleaned it myself Since I was cleaning the toilet, I started just wiping down the whole bathroom The tub was also in need of a real scrubbing, leaving residue on my wipes The shower head had lime scale that should be removed The sink faucet was broken in a way that it sprays water forward The floor had a handful of hairs Honestly,, I should probably give a 2 just bc of the bathroom I didn’t need it, but the microwave was also dirty insideOdd: There was no ice machine in the building, but there was the old standard hotel ice bucket in the roomI waffled on leaving a review, but when I checked out, no one asked me how my stay was, or if I had any feedback So, here it is

Karen C

Hotel is tired and in need of renovations Carpet was so dirty I had to wear my sandals when in the room Dark hairs on the wash cloths and shower wall

House staff was rude when I asked for clean cloths Bd was extremely soft Room was noisy from guests outside who were drinking and smoking just below our room Fro t desk staff were very pleasant

Miriam Silver

Avoid this one Lovely lovely staff, truly, BUT dirty rooms Not upgraded Bugs in sink, leftover peoples dirt and wrappers on floor

Not vacuumed Likely not sanitized AND gave us key card but walked into someone else’s room during day when they were sleeping or whatever Not our room EGads It was dark People there Mistakes, yes, but all told, extremely difficult experience Borrowed sheets and blankets from local friend, afraid of whatever in the room Sheesh Not confident on Best Western Really didn’t want to give any stars Dark dirty drab old rooms

Bathroom has rusted toilet paper holder and door(see pics) The shower head has mineral and lime buildup(see pic) And there’s a strange stain on the front of the sink wood(see pic)No continental breakfast option but that’s normal for a Bonvoy, however there’s a restaurant serving breakfast from 0630-1030The beds have a nice selection of pillows and the comforter/sheets are good quality There’s a nice shelf with bottled water right at the entrance (can’t miss it) And to my surprise the remote control is inside a plastic bag (see pic) with a card stating all the surfaces they clean that most people wouldn’t think of(see pic)The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash but they’re not individually portioned, they’re in a dispenser, which I find to be unsanitary and open to having anyone put any chemical they want inside the containers(see pic) so id suggest bringing your own The shower head comes out like a tsunami and doesn’t adjust pressure l, only pattern; if you have kids this will be a problem as it is very powerful and may be painful for them to useOverall, this hotel is comfortable, the bedrooms are is clean, and reasonably priced for what is provided They could benefit from polishing the metal surfaces, fixing the rusted door in this room, ensuring the front of the bathroom cabinet is wiped down, changing the shower head or at least cleaning it, and returning to the individual dispensers

The sink and shower were both awful The toilet made very loud clanks whenever you sat on it or moved an inch Horrible water pressure, women at the front desk were cold bordering on rude

Our second night the room next to us was very loud I called guest services and they said they would handle itThe partiers were loud until 2am When I asked the next morning they said I would have had to call several times because the first one is only a warningThey should have told me that on the phone If they say they are handling it why on earth would I push the issue They said something was being doneWhen I complained (politely) woman at the front desk was very rude and dismissive and accused me of getting loud which was definitely not trueThe bar was pretty nice though

The staff was very polite and helpful which normally would get four stars The location to the venue we attended was greatUnfortunately there was no mention the pool would not be open (which was the main reason our family as well as two other families stayed at this hotel

) Having to explain to grand-children why they can’t use the pool was not something we should have had to deal with The breakfast was also a disappointment The powdered eggs were terrible and the sausage was not too good either The remaining choices were iffy at bestAs for the room, it was nice and clean The water pressure in the shower however was non existent It took three times longer and a considerable amount more water to rinse off than any normal shower should

This hotel has great prices and is always clean The staff is always professional and courteous I like that they have a refrigerator and microwave in the room

I would recommend this hotel to anyone The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the walls are thin there You can hear the conversations in the next room so you know they can hear you too

I remember staying here when I was younger and they had a pool Every weekend this would be the spot we’d come to just to swimSince they’ve gotten rid of the pool and changed management it is definitely not the same

Management and housekeepers do the bare minimum when it comes to the cleanliness of the rooms It’s in a great location and not far from anything you need But once you get inside a room you realize the price does not match what you’re getting Between the stains on the walls, curtains look like a child put them up, and general cleanliness of the room as a whole is unacceptable This was a last minute choice but I’m not so sure we’ll be coming back until the staff takes cleaning more serious especially with Covid and many other illnesses going around

Sub-par experience, luckily it was just for one night I brought my own pillows and blankets, and I am glad that I did The comforter was stained, the bathroom cleanliness was below average, the paint was scraped off of the walls in multiple areas, lots of dust/dirt buildup behind the night stands

The walls are paper thin, I could hear every car that drove by, and the man snoring in the room next to me sounded like he was in my room Upon checking in/out, you have to do so at the outside window There’s a sign telling you to ring the bell when you need service, but the bell did not work The gentleman behind the desk was on his phone and took quite a while before noticing that I was standing outside Overall, it’s not terrible if you’re just crashing for one night, but not recommended for an extended stay
