Thumbs up to “General Manager” Rakesh Patel He made sure I had the best service I could ever ask for staying at that hotel He helped make my stay very good while I was there

Plus everything was clean when I checked into my room Patel recommended places to eat, transportation to take, and helped me when I decided to extend my stay His knowledge of the area is impressive An besides my room being clean I had a microwave & mini refrigerator for my use The only problem I had there was the plumbing When I was just taking a whiz it was all good, however when I had to drop more than that the toilet was responding very slow after that You definitely have to wait for the water to settle before you can use it again An it took time, there maintenance needs to increase the water pressure Other than that I liked my stay there

If you need a room in the area, it is the best option overall for location + priceIt is clean, staff polite and courteous, comfortable and the #1 suggestion I give guests who visit, but require their own spaceIt is not hit or miss They are consistent

Happy Camper

I am not going back to this place I have been here 3 times They don’t change their beddings , they just make beds

First night, I slept on top of the covers, they had yellow stains on the between the sheets On my second visit, the room seemed clean On the third visit, the duvet cover had blood stains or something like itBed sheets were wrinkled indicating they were slept in and there was napkin behind the nightstand Hire a house Keeping manager with 20/20 vision to walk through the rooms Extremely disgusting!

Thank you for an amazing experience! It’s a gorgeous location, makes you feel that you’re in Italy! I wish I lived closer The sangria white and red and peach drinks are amazing, delicious! We will be back many times in the future and my friend is thinking of hosting a fundraising event there in the future Thank you for also donating an amazing tour and experience for my friend’s fundraising event

Jaime Lonergan

My husband and I spent a weekend at the bed and breakfast for our anniversary Everything about the stay was amazing We don’t live far from the winery and frequent it often, but we have 3 young children that we’ve never left overnight

This was the perfect “destination” The room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated We stayed in the American Suite The staff was so friendly and accommodating They made us feel like we were vacationing (rather than staying 20 minutes from home!) Prior to checking in our room, we did a Founder’s Room experience Celeste made sure we got the most from our tasting, and helped us choose wine we’d truly enjoy I cannot recommend Lynfred enough We had the best weekend and anniversary thanks to Lynfred

John Lambert

Good wine and cool historic building, but no longer allow kids on premises at all or at any events Used to be a good place for families to visit, but now totally unwelcoming We have tasted at numerous wineries around the country, but that’s the first time we have ever encountered that

Really disappointing We were planning on joining the wine club but didn’t since we wouldn’t be allowed at any events or tastings

Let me start by saying DO NOT STAY HERE if you have any other option at all First of all, we were travelling and could not make phone calls, no where in my booking did it tell me how the shuttle operated and I tried everything to contact the hotel with no response DAYS before we needed it Finally after waiting 1

5 hours at the shuttle pick up I had a family member phone and turns out you need to book it Every other airport hotel shuttle was running every 15-30 minutes So that suckedSecond, once we were at the hotel wow it was horrible Very shady people everywhere We booked a room for four adults, 2 queen beds were specified in the booking We got to the room and it was two VERY small maybe double but more like twin sized beds So we asked the front desk about this, and he sent us to a new room Upon opening the door to that room it was occupied!! With the same size beds anyways Finally the front desk said go to a king suite with a couch So we went, and there was no couch Just a chair!! So we crammed into 2 small twin size beds! All of this for $200! Just horribleThe room was very dirty, smelled like smoke and drugs, the carpet was gross and very few lights worked Again, you should NOT stay here We tried to be polite and ask about any sort of reimbursement but they almost laughed at us, got angry at us, and were not helpfulDO NOT STAY HERE

Phillip Conley Jr

The room(s) were filthy, bedsheets not changed, stains/wet spots in the carpet that hadn’t been attended to Fresh stains on the walls Entire floor smelled of cigarette smoke

As I was talking to the front desk associate, another guest complained about the same thing on a different floorThe room door was not secure, door handle was just about to fall off The door itself had many cracks in it, if someone tried hard enough, they’d be able to look into your room I hope google allows videos to be uploaded to our reviews soon so you can get the entire experience of how awful this place is Customer service is a minus 5 stars In pursuit of my refund, I was lied to on multiple occasions about my refund being issued and it clearly hadn’t (which resulted into a month of me calling weekly to get answers) As we are still battling a pandemic, not only a pandemic, but other horrific viruses and things alike, this establishment doesn’t have sanitation as a priority Again, its not just the room that was in grave condition, but their customer service, ethics, and (business) acumen is gravely as well If you read this and decide to try for yourself, I wish you the best and hope what happened to me and my family not happened to you and yoursDO NOT STAY HERE! PLEASE PLEASE I BEG YOU, DO NOT STAY HERE I observed the previous reviews before my attempt to stay here and I wanted to see for myself There’s ABSOLUTELY no circumstance would I stay here, I’d sleep in my car before I’d lay my head in one of these germ embalmed rooms The photos I took were first impression, I took them as soon as I entered the room

Kaitlyn R

Read through the reviews below The room was extremely gross and definitely not cleaned or sanitized in any way shape or form Nothing looked like it had been wiped down or even vacuumed

The carpet, oh boy, the carpet, it needs to go, there is no saving it, it was pulling up from the floor, had stains everywhere and dirt piled in the corners and edges The walls, bathroom and doors were disgusting Ants all over If you have another option, stay ANYWHERE else

This is one of the worst hotel experiences that I have ever had The staff was pretty friendly upon check-in, but it went downhill from there We needed a place to sleep for my son’s wedding

Nothing extravagant because we were so busy Every time we returned to our room it smelled like smoke, very distinct smell that resembled drug use The response from the front desk was, “That’s weird” On the second night, our car was broken into Nothing was stolen, but that was the final straw We decided not to stay the last night of our reservation Since we prepaid, they refused to refund the final night’s stay I would not recommend at all There are much better places to stay that are very helpful, friendly, and sympathetic

Priyal Mangla

10/10 *claps*The lady at the front desk, provided the best customer serviceWe were a family of 4, and we reached the hotel well before the checkin timings as out flight landed at 7The lady guided us to lodge the luggage and wait for sometime

And to our surprise, as soon as the room was ready, she checked us in! We also received a room upgradeThis woman was an angel in disguise I can’t recall her name, but I remember she wore specs had black hair and was youngTheir breakfast menu included everything essential Omelettes, waffles, and breads were super good and deliciousThe place is at a very optimum location- bus service is nearby There is a supermarket and Dunkin at walking distance too

Then when I arrived, they were very attentive Second, my room was ready, very clean and comfortable Third, the rate was reasonable Fourth, great location in relation to O’Hare airport Hope to stay here the next time I’m in the area

Nicole Perkins

This was one of the worst experience ever I can’t believe how they lied this is not a 4 nothing hotel It’s ants all over the rooms they are not cleaning the rooms like they are supposed to

No microwave in the room The bathroom was still dirty Someone used it didn’t flush the toilet My key didn’t work to my room we tried 3 times before she gave me another key When I told her about the ants she said well it’s ants everywhere I’m sure the purpose of saying that

There are so many reasons why this beautiful Hotel deserves 5 stars and more! I will start with the ambiance and amenities The Waterfront Room is gorgeous with lovely acoustics for a wedding ceremony or event for dancing The outdoor space on the riverfront is perfect for ceremonies and then of course the grounds are gorgeous for cocktail hours too

No one can COMPARE to the fabulous RAINBOW ROOM! Hello!?!?!?! A light-up dance floor with cool spots to grab photos from?! Yes please The food is fabulous and the staff is even better Kelly makes sure that clients are happy and that events are executed flawlessly She’s got a great eye for detail and is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS optimistic and coming up with unique and cool ways to make events successful The owners take great care of this venue and it shows WE LOVE HOTEL BAKER!!!

Me and my husband went to St Charles for the first time I saw the pictures of the hotel and thought it is a good little historic place to visit and stay

I booked the hotel for two nights We got there late and the whole lobby was under construction, They gave us a dirty room with used water bottles under the bed and dirty bathroom that smelled We didn’t make a big deal as we didn’t want to ruin our trip, however we asked for a room upgrade The receptionist told us that we have to check out from our room at 1100 am and they will give us the other room as soon as they clean it We follow up with them 3 times and they told us that the room will be ready soon Five hours later in a weather of 10 degrees, after we heard no news, we went to check again and they told us that they are going to charge us $500 dollars for sanitation and the claim that we were smoking in the room which was a complete LIE! They even charged our credit card for 2 nights when we stayed only one night I called them and asked for the manager to call me and she never returned my call At the end they removed the second night charge and I had to call the bank to dispute the extra charges I traveled all my life internationally and THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE THAT I EVER HAD!!!! I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY WHO WANTS TO ENJOY THEIR TRIP AS THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR GUESTS AND THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY PROFESSIONAL COURTESY FOR THEIR GUESTS!!!!!PS never give them your debit card as they are going to charge you without any explanation

Jennifer Mencias

We recently attended the Easter Sunday Brunch that Hotel Baker hosted and it was a delight They had an impressive spread of food that spanned three different rooms The variety of food from pastries, to custom omelets, full breakfast items, seafood spread, meat carving station to many lunch/dinner items no detail was skipped

Oh and don’t forget the most amazing dessert section!!! The service was great, everything was top-notch! Thank you Hotel Baker for a great experience!

We stayed here over Easter weekend of 2022 for 3 nights Although they don’t offer breakfast and there is no pool, it was a very nice stay The hotel and room appeared clean and smelled good

The room and bathroom was spacious The bed a little too firm for me We could have used a thicker or extra blanket as there was only a very thin one there All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel and would stay there again Also has a nice location

Eiler Spayd

I wasn’t expecting a luxurious stay at a rate of $66/night but I expected at the bare minimum a clean, comfortable stay My first impression of the hotel had animals running around the lobby and the hallway areas as well as my *non smoking room smell strongly of cigarette smoke The no-smoking policy is obviously not enforced regardless of signs and expectations of guests

Also, I had specifically noted on my reservation that I wanted a non-first floor room, as a young woman traveling alone and I was placed into a first level room with an easily accessible window that did not lock The room appeared clean at first glance but under further observation was dingey I found myself booking at another hotel as I could not stand to stay in a smokey-smelling and unsafe environment The 38 star rating for the hotel is not a good description of the hotel For any travelers or extended stay guests, I would suggest finding other arrangements

Mitch Miculescu

My girlfriend is in love with the place from top to bottom! We travel so much and we are so grateful for a place that makes you feel like you are at home!So clean, and the rooms are very large and have all the comforts of home, but it’s the ENTIRE STAFF that make your stay so enjoyable and safe!Everyone is doing their jobs with the best attitude, and it’s just a huge deal to be reminded of what CUSTOMER SERVICE used to be!!I can’t say enough about the whole experience and again it would be impossible without a truly kind and dependable stafflike the crew at EXTENDED STAY AMERICA SCHAUMBURG, ILLINOIS!!KUDDOS TO EVERYONE WE WERE ABLE TO HAVE THE PLEASURE OF KNOWING THROUGHOUT OUR STAY! THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR MAKING A STRESSFUL TIME FEEL LIKE A VACATION!!

Had a great stay Beds were super comfortable Checked in was smooth

I came in late due to flight cancellation so I asked for an upgrade and they gave me a king suite with jacuzzi for a small fee Breakfast was great with hot sandwich, eggs and waffles, it was busy in the morning with everyone coming all at once but did not have to wait Rooms were clean and tidy Staff was attentive Would definitely stay here again Close to everything No nuisance place

Eryk Fairchild

Overall a really great experience! Loved the temp of the room, it was clean, VERY comfy bed, great shower, and the staff was super nice Our son accidentally soaked the whole bathroom and all the towels, they gave us replacements promptly, no fuss Breakfast was fine, they had this really cool pancake machine making minis they my kids loved! My only complaint is a common one for celiacs like me, need more gluten-free options! Will stay here again for sure

What impressed me most here was the service Particularly the AM

Desk Person Lisa was super friendly and personable I was particularly impressed on the last day of my stay I had to leave particularly early Lisa had the complimentary breakfast ready 15 minutes early at 5:45 The breakfast included fresh waffels and scrambled eggs The room was small but it was clean

Christina McElroy

As soon as I opened the door I could smell that my room would be satisfactory It smelt clean No dirty smell, no smoke, no dog

Upon entering, I found that is was indeed clean No finger prints on everything No dust Everything was full, and filled Floors were cleanWhen I checked in there was a new person being trained Before his trainer arrived to him I said I was checking in He said, ” Give me your ID” Personally that alone is my only complaint I’m not really complaining, but merely stating the fact that you were my initial impression of the hotel and how my stay might be I would suggest a softer approach, as in a way of say may I get your ID, or and your ID? Not give me

Kylee Cook

Upon arrival, we were surprised to see this place is a motel, not a hotel Minor setback

we can roll with it, usually HOWEVER, once we got to our room, we were greeted with a horrible musty, dirty smell and there was a dried blood stain on the curtain I didn’t want to take my shoes off, let alone get into the bed All night long, I felt gross and was terrified I was going to find bedbugs The bathroom looked like an old closet that had been converted and the floor was sticky and the towels stained and yellowed I would NEVER recommend coming here and would give this place zero stars if I could! I picked this place originally because it was a good mid-ranged price and a decent location as we were out of town for an event Never, ever again I will spend the extra 20$ or so and stay somewhere else next time We couldn’t wait to get out of that room

Kristin Crooks

My name is Kristin and I own a wedding planning company So, when I say that my expectation for my wedding venue was higher than the average Bride, that is an understatementQ Center had everything I wanted in a wedding venue

Everything in one convenient location, but different spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception I am not a fan of flipping over the same room to use for two different functions, it doesn’t leave room for qualityNot only did Q Center have all of these options, but there are also hotel rooms for the guests to stay in and different rooms for the bridal party to get ready for the big day inWorking with the Q Center staff was a huge stress reliever for me Traci was our coordinator at Q Center and she absolutely knocked it out of the park for us She was so easy to communicate with, always responding to anything I needed so quickly She was efficient, organized and made me feel at ease handing everything over on the big day I am so thankful for her!The entire Q Center staff was polite, kind and enthusiastic about my wedding day and I could not appreciate that more We especially loved the security guard at the gate, Bonnie, who was an absolute delight She was the perfect personality to greet guests when they arrivedThe food was amazing! All of our guests were raving about the food from the dinner, to the salad, to the appetizers to the late night bites We got SO many compliments on the food The serving staff was so helpful and always ready to lend a hand, with a smile on their facesQ Center has so much to offer that the average wedding venue does not I have no regrets about have our wedding here I could not recommend this more highly to any potential couples who looking for a wedding venue Q Center will make all of your wedding dreams come true, with top notch service and a smile to accompany you throughout your wedding journeyThank you, Q Center, it was absolutely epic!

I stayed here for a school related review course This is a compound basically that probably used to be a college of some sort Now it’s rented by universities and corporations for events

While the room was a little small, the bed was comfortable I’ve paid more for worse There’s an on-site gym and a bar For the convenience of staying where my review was and not having to travel from another location, and dinner was included (cafeteria-like), worth the stay all day Would highly recommend

Patty Brummond

If I could add more stars I would! We held our son’s wedding here this past weekend and things could not have gone better The food and beverage staff was outstanding The facilities are clean and well maintained

Even when the weather forced a change in plans, the staff was ready to accommodate the Plan B with ease It was a memorable weekend and we are so grateful to the Q Center!

I never trust a hotel where you need to pick up a phone, on the front door, and announce your arrival Nor, do I trust a hotel where I can’t understand what the front desk is trying to convey to meI’ve stayed here in the past, and it’s gone down hill a lot

Stillit was priced well You can tell that no expense has been put into the upkeepRoom was decent Clean Roomy Bed was SUPER soft When I sat on it, I thought it was going to engulf me They really need to install grab bars on the tub/showers, as there is nothing to hold onto Toilet/shower area is small They seem to cater to families, so expect to hear kids screaming in the hallways Overallit was okay

Nathan M

Housekeeping does a “what they have to, to get by” job So much is out of date and/or in poor repair (the elevator, out of order – the “fitness room”, entirely out of order – the pool, all closed up) My remote control was tied together with a shoelace The beds were comfortable, and the bedding clean

The breakfast was decent, for a free breakfast This place is 1/3 or less the price of any of the nicer hotels in the greater Chicago area If you can overlook all the rest, its not horrible I’d stay here again for the cost savings, but nothing else

Rachel Holst

I read reviews before staying here, there was a lot of reviews about the lack of cleanliness but you never know if there’s a change in staff or what not so I stayed there this past weekend I had two rooms and both were quite gross, stains all over the floor, jelly beans and other miscellaneous items were scattered throughout the room, and there was stains on the bedding We were originally on the first floor, the windows do not have screens and do not lock, being young women I didn’t feel comfortable staying in a room anyone could open the window to and crawl into the room so I asked to move rooms to an upper level (windows still didn’t lock but way less chance of someone breaking into the room through a window on a higher story) the rooms were still equally gross but safer in my opinion

The sink had a leak and the staff was aware previous to us staying in that room but didnt tell us Wouldn’t stay here again and don’t recommend it to anyone

She’s made me and my husband feel more than welcome and comfortable during our 3 week stay The housekeeping doesn’t always keep up with exchanging towels, supplying toilet paper and giving fresh bed sheets but every time Monica was on shift she always checked and made sure that everything was satisfactory and our needs and wants were met Thank you for the wonderful stay

Fairly nice hotel My wife is a housekeeper, so it was definitely “DIRTY” according to her, but when hotel staff are only given 15 minutes to flip a room, what can you expect Sheets were clean

down to the mattress pad (yes, she checked)There were a LOT of kids at the hotel the weekend we stayed so the pool was overflowing It was quiet at night thoughBreakfast is hot as others have said and plenty to choose from, but the floors are in need of a sweep as others have saidOur floors had been replaced with laminate, so less concern of bugsFor $100 on a Saturday night on St Patrick’s Day WeekendI suppose it was pretty good

Fantastic service, excellent rate A bed so comfortable I don’t want to get out of it Absolutely spotless room

So glad to find this place after dealing with another Choice Hotel that I would NOT recommend–the Comfort Inn on Barrington at Hoffman EstatesEdit: Just had their wonderful breakfast that is included in room rate Waffle station, cold cereal, scrambled eggs, link sausage, fruit, toast, coffee, juice, and more–all done rightAnd the bathtub is fantastic for soaking They have a pool and hot tub here, but I won’t have time to try those

Avoid at all costs Yes, it’s in a convenient location, but it is dirty I’m also sensitive to humidity, and it was VERY humid in the lobby and the room

We ran the air for three hours and the room was still too warm The maintenance guy was less than helpful We ended up spending just $25 more per night to stay at a much nicer place 10 minutes away

The room my husband & had chosen was HYPNOTIC The staff was great & the room spotless & there’s also a little store in the front where you can buy different fun items if you wanted Loved it we ended up staying overnight, I’m so glad we did because theres so much to do

Will have to go again & pick a different room * It’s great this place is 10 minutes from our home & didn’t even know 😁 *

Nice location You do have to be a member, which takes 4 hours to get approved during working hours or 48 hours otherwise I think membership was $30 for the whole year

After you get approved, you get to choose the options for the room (champagne etc)This location is motel style with the parking in the middle The office is right at the entry and they have all types of stuff available for purchase, like water, soda, candy, chocolate strawberries, bubble baths, lotions, flowers They only car info they need is the make, model and color, license plates are not required We were staying in the Prism room and it was very neat There were rose petals on the bed and the floor They also had 3 playing dice complementary as part lf the assembly The jacuzzi and shower are combined but the toilet is separated There were more then enough towels and also bath robes which were available for purchase too The color changing lights above the bed are super fun to discover The only downside is the TV is not smart so you won’t be able to connect to Netflix or any provider to watch a movie if you choose so Overall a great experience
