First off, there isn’t words for the review of this hotel Starting day 1 of a 5 day stay, it was nothing but a nightmare roller coaster on a down hill trip to destruction Within 10 minutes of entering our room, we found there was no available hot water, outlets didn’t work, shower curtain doesn’t stay shut, and the towel rack fell apart the first time a towel was moved! After walking to the office, because the phone didn’t work either, we were met with attitude and a pile of excuses

The following day we found that the advertised breakfast was a lie, there is no available hot tub, the whole grounds is covered is trash, and the new management shift was even worse than the last Less that 16 hours in and im thinking we need a refund and find a new hotel, but wait! They don’t offer refunds here, only to best suit your needs for your overpriced stay! I honestly feel like a homeless shelter may have better accommodations A 0 start review or lower would be my recommendation for this hotel It would serve better as a condemned and haunted hotel, maybe you could get some hospitality at that point!

Our room was way in the back Parking lot lights were not on We parked abutting the freeway on ramp

All lights thru corridors turned off before around 5:30am at which time it was still dark Our toilet was literally 6 inches from the ground Hard to get water to come out the sink in room No comforters on bed during the winter (not sure about summer) We’ve stayed here before but always in rooms near the front which have been better but after this visit and the price it cost to stay for 2 adults for 1 night we will not be staying here anymore when we drive in from out of state

Tara Perez

Booked for the free hot breakfast that was advertised They said they stopped to for covid Even though everything has gone back to normal

Also room was dirty, shower water backed up, toilet flush was horrible Leary dealings in the parking lot Would not recommend this property at all Every Wyndham I have stayed at has been a bad experience No more Wyndham for us horrible

Our stay here was excellent The rooms we stayed in were clean and adequate Just a short walk to the beach

The fire pit area was really enjoyable Mindy was really friendly welcoming and accommodating I didn’t get a creepy or intrusive vibe from her at all I don’t know what the other reviews on here are talking about, but she was a great hostess for us! King Neptunes next door was a fun bar Nothing fancy Family owned and good people! Not associated with Beso Del Sol, but worth mentioning Hope we can come back again!

Parker Tietz

Hold on to your shoes folks, literally, because this place is a mess and don’t say I didn’t warn youThe manager, Mindy, was extremely hard to work with and talk to, as she kicked us out after one night She claimed there were more than 2 people staying in the studio, when it was only me and a friend staying, and she refused to listen when I tried to talk to her

She is very paranoid and intrusive, she let herself into our room at 8 in the morning while we were asleep She then accused us of having more than 2 people and that my friend was not over 21, which they wereWe drove all the way from Ohio, hoping to spend the week surfing, instead we had to spend it finding other places to stay, after having this reservation booked months in advanceWhen we arrived she must have been watching us, because she called me later the night we got in while we were out to out and said the surfboards I had brought into the room could not be in there To me it seemed ridiculous that I couldnt protect my property from being stolen off the top of my car, especially given we were at a popular surf spotLastly, Mindy gave us until noon to be out of her place, so we had to pack up after only one night and leave Once we left she gave us a very disturbing phone call about how inconsiderate and rude we were for not cleaning the room I also realized after we left that I forgot my shoes in the room, and when I went back to get them she refused to let me into the room to get themOverall a terrible experience, and we did not feel safe

Kevin Bogar

Terrible! It’s not like the picture The room was so small it triggered panic attacks from clostrophobia The entrance to our room located in a alley faced the dumpster and rodent traps from the bar/restaurant next door

You can hear the noise and music from the restaurant so badly that they have a white noise box in the room We moved to a Marriott because this is not what we consider a vacation accommodation The owner Global Connections whom we have as a vacation club for many years says basically that he stays there when he comes to town and pretty much sorry for your loss No refunds, no alternate options and staying at the Marriott was our choice as Global could not find any other accommodations for us so there are no reimbursement for our room There are 2 Besa Del Sol’s Make sure you get the right one Global sucks with customer support and satisfaction!

Interesting hotel, and the layout of the rooms makes a lot out of a little space The rooms are very clean, the staff is very attentive, and the location is great They also have modern ductless AC units for heating and cooling

I stayed here while attending a conference at the Long Beach Convention center It’s about a 10-15min walk to the convention center, and I was able to figure out where I would eat lunch by taking a leisurely walk to the convention center The rooms are small, but for one person it was perfect and I liked how they designed the rooms not to feel small The building is old, and because of that there are more noises than a new hotel (water flowing, floors creaking) The noise was not too loud, but a sensitive sleeper might have a problem The breakfast in the morning is simple: yogurt, juice, coffee, pastries, and oatmeal, but the Colonial Bakery is right next door and they have fresh cooked bacon and eggs I’m glad I stayed here, and I would stay again

Amanda Brenner

I’ve stayed here several times and it is always a great experience It’s an old SRO hotel (google THAT), so yes, the rooms are small They have done an excellent job of remodeling and the staff is amazingly nice

This is now my go-to hotel in Long Beach Wonderful bedding and amenities! I’ve stayed by myself and the full-sized bed is fine With my husband, we had a room with a queen bed The evening wine is a nice touch It’s very walkable to all of downtown Long Beach, so plenty to see and do

Jason K

I’ve stayed here multiple times over the last three years because it’s just a consistently good experience The renovated rooms have character (in a good way), and they’re always clean and well maintained The staff is super friendly, the location is convenient, and the perks (breakfast, wine tasting) are icing on the cake

For the location and the price, I always check here first I do recommend paying the extra for a higher floor if you like a quieter room, as you can hear your upstairs neighbor walking around otherwise

Stayed here by myself and as a woman I felt very safe Was close to where I needed to be for work Was shocked when I realized there was a small balcony with a chair and table

Even though it faced another building it was still nice to get outside for some air Room was a great size with room to spare Would recommend to other people and friends

I would really recommend this hotel due to being very clean and close to Long Beach beaches I really enjoyed my stay and the location of the hotel The breakfast was good ,really enjoyed the waffles But one bad thing Is that the pool had a bad odor Overall, it’s a good hotel to stay at

Karina Valenzuela

This place was great, the room was always clean, house keeper really care about her job she will literally fold my girls clothes if i left something hanging around, she organized the toys daily, clean towels without me asking for even when they ask you to leave the towels on the floor if you want new ones and we didn’t we will always find everything organize, balcony was great for my kids, good food near by the taco place has delicious tacos

I was doubtful and skeptical initially However, this operation is spotless in all the things that you hope for when traveling I felt as if I was visiting a close relative for a long weekend that happened to be away from their home

I, of course, would have the run of the house Plenty of freedom, quaint, and quiet inside of the home However, it is on the corner of a busy avenue yet quiet residential areaUPDATE: bring earplugs Young adults get rowdy beginning Friday night for the weekendNeighborhood folks, cars, bus, coming and going during workweek became white noise after initial 24 hours Being within a few short walking blocks of the Pacific Ocean and good, fairly priced eateries was an absolute bonus Also, being in the midst of well managed neighborhoods gave a sense of safety for exploring and shopping I definitely will return for another vacation stay

Loved this bnb Lovely older home Kept up nicely

Parking was a challenge when getting back from the grand prixOnly drawback was the loud group on the street, around midnight our last night thereBut I would still stay there again and recommend to others

Paso Wines

The only place I’ll stay when I am in the Long Beach area!!! A fantastic B&B where you feel like you’re at home and a member of the family I have been staying here since 2016 and have never had a disappointing moment The bedrooms are bright, very clean and comfortable

The smell of fresh coffee wakes you up and you can amble downstairs for a great breakfast and the latest newspaper The host family is warm and welcoming and very accommodating, why stay anywhere else???

After realizing how difficult it is to find clean, safe, cat-friendly lodging, we were so relieved to come across the Kearney Motel There wasn’t any way to reserve a room online, however, the front desk staff was very nice and informative We were able to quickly book a room upon our spontaneous arrival

The room was spacious and appeared very clean I’m not sure if every room has one, but we enjoyed the unique, ethereal mural that was hand painted on the ceiling The location wasn’t exactly welcoming but, we didn’t feel unsafe at any point I would have given 5 stars but both my boyfriend and I left the next day with some unidentifiable bug bites on our legs If you’re only staying in town for an evening, the Kearney Motel is not a terrible choice compared to some of the other motels Long Beach has to offer

Ladybug

This place is a beautiful little Motel hit out in a quiet neighborhood and the manager is everything the reviews have been saying He’s very kind and helpful to his clientele and he goes the extra mile to make sure things are doing okay for his guest The price is reasonable, and the rooms are clean and smell disinfected

It was a nice welcoming feeling to walk into one of their rooms he even showed me the black light that made the ceiling and the Stars light up Never seen that before so it was fun Nicely decorated with lots of big mirrors and the marble counters make the room look great They may not offer a lot of amenities that other bigger Motel do but if you’re only coming to sleep, watch TV, or just to relax this is the perfect place I would stay here again in a heartbeat I can’t believe a little place like this is hid out so well but yet so convenient to McDonald’s, Taco Bell, and other little restaurants along with Winchell’s Donuts! I think if all you want is the basics and you get the opportunity to stay here you will not regret it Thank you Kearney Motel Loved your roses as a place to pray early in the morning You made my stay very very comfortable

I love history and I love haunted places, so this was a great place to explore from me You can explore so much of the ship at your leisure, or you can participate in a haunted tour I roamed around the ship from 2:30 a

m to 4:30 am by myself just exploring freely and spooking myself out We stayed in a cabin for a couple of nights and it was very comfortable They had a great mix of comfort and convenience along with original fittings, fixtures, decorations that really take you back in timeThe ship has numerous exhibits, Museum areas, tons of information to learn from The staff were very friendly, including the captain who we met at one of the bars on board – he was not drinking, just doing the rounds and introducing himselfWe ate at the Winston Churchill restaurant, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was phenomenal I enjoyed being on this ship so much and I would love to go back

SBBwasaight Vuong

My wife and I stayed at the Queen Mary for our honeymoon in 2017 and it was the best hotel stay we’ve yet had They upgraded our room for free, delivered us champagne and chocolate Strawberries as a wedding present, and gave us a free ghost tour on our last day The ship itself is a fun little museum experience and getting to have coffee on the deck is something you don’t want to miss

I’m sad to hear about all the recent issues the ship has had, I really recommend seeing it while you still can
