The places was nice , worth the money Location wasn’t as bad as people made it seem It is right off the highway so on a busy day you will hear all the cars but ir didn’t bother us since we were not there most of the time

While we were there we did not see any homeless near the hotel like a lot of the reviews said We did encounter some problems though, first one is we put up a sign for privacy but the room service still went in and changed out the towel’s which was nice but not needed as we had the sign up Second the lady at the front desk on 05/07/22 seemed rude We went to get breakfast , which all they had was outdated cereal and old fruits , we got there 10 minutes before breakfast closed and she basically kicked us out On top of that my sister asked her where the laundry room was at and she replied with “we don’t have a laundry room” Which is a lie because you can see the laundry room in the cameras In the lobby , we later found the paper in the room that told us where to locate the laundry room She did make anyone feel welcomed like the guy that checked us in did Last thing was on the last day we were there someone tried to break into our car good thing we parked it right in front of where we were staying because we were able to get up quickly , we do not think it was any homeless as we would of seen then running , we did see one of the hotel guests run into their car so we think it was a guest The security guard was nice and let us know he will be patrolling the area

This hotel is affordable, I paid $100 for a room with 2 queens, but you get what you pay for to say the least This place is right off I-35 and the rooms are not very well insulated from sound The windows don’t have curtains, and the BRIGHT LED lights outside your door will keep you up (I literally couldn’t tell if it was day or night)

And when we walked in our room, it was dirty and there was yellow static water sitting in the tub The staff was great and immediately changed our room, but then there was spit and a pube in our toilet Which was an easy fix, we can just flush it down However, this just don’t put much confidence into the cleanliness of the roomsThe room itself was nice, newly redone But I wouldn’t call this a hotel, it’s more of a motel, which is expected for the price

Modern up to date rooms with minor cosmetic flaws Very good security, and close to down town Overall a good value for the price!Positive: modern nice flooring, beautiful marble in the showers, and nice bright lighting in the rooms, good security, good price, and close to downtown

Negative: breakfast is very minimal, toast, cereal, coffee, juice Kinda loud from highway noise, so rooms are not sound proofed, could hear people talking outside Fan in bathroom was loose with plastic hanging down, and the door was difficult to shut as it was oldKeep in mind they are currently remodeling so you may see small things that were missed Ie: door, fan, drawer handle, etc

My first night was great, the second and third not so much My second bed had fresh blood stains on comforter I was professional about the situation and notified the front desk calmly

The person radioed a guy to go check it out, when the guy approached me I explained which bed it was and where the blood stains were so he wouldn’t accidentally touch it He didn’t acknowledge me and asked the front desk lady where this was Afterwards he turned around and walked away Comforter never got changed I had to walk my self downstairs again and ask if we could take care of it and I later took the comforter my self up to my room I did not use that bed I just threw the comforter on top of blood stains Breakfast was not very selective, had sugary honey buns, biscuits, sausage links and gravy A lot of military members like my self stay at that hotel while traveling, I’ll make sure I notify our travel system so service members stop getting booked there

We booked Comal River Cottages 403B and 403C on Zink street The cabins were well maintained, comfortable beds, reasonable accommodations, and the softest towels and wash cloths I’ve ever used! The views of the river from the cabin are gorgeous! We saw fish swimming, different bird species and even deer while grilling on the patio The cabin is conveniently located right next to Texas tubes (literally a one minute walk down hill), which made floating super easy not having to worry about parking and lugging the cooler very far

You can see the tubes from the driveway I don’t think you could find a better location to stay when floating the river! Cathy was very quick to respond to any and all inquiries and had very open communication Awesome place to stay!!

Marissa Glass

We celebrated my wife’s birthday floating the river! This property was fantastic and perfectly located walking distance from the start and end of the river There were tons of tube rental places within walking distance as well It was a wonderful experience and we had a blast! One thing I would suggest, is bringing an air pump in you plan to bring your own tube or taking your tube to one of the rental places!

Kayla Patino

Loved this rental! We had a large group and rented both sides! The house was so nice and had beautiful decor Pictures don’t do it any justice The patio was fun to hang out as a group and grill out

It was a perfect location for the Comal river! Just walk across the street to 3 tube rental companies and then can walk to get right into the river Cathy was prompt to respond with any question and maintenance was super fast too! Can’t wait to stay here again

The room and the grounds felt clean, safe and secure The customer service was nice The laundry room was clean

And the shower pressure was great The only downsides were there are not many extras like you have to pay for dishes, there’s no gym, and no office center Oh and you can hear everything through the walls I could literally hear my neighbor snoring Oh and the sheets were thin Overall for the price I paid this place was nice and satisfied the important things

Christopher Bergan

The rooms are very clean and safe The common areas are also very clean, the hall floors look like they have been spit shined Rooms are well equipped for short and medium stays

The facility is very well run, good management/ leadership, every person I have encountered at the front desk/maid service has been polite and helpful Highly recommend Also great place to stay if you are a dog owner, multiple areas to walk your dog and a pet clean up station literally every 20 yards surrounding the building

Mark Bellinger

After reading some great reviews, I checked in to stay for a few weeks

that ended up being eight months! A GREAT place to live my new home away from homeOne of the first things you will notice is that this extended stay hotel is NOT clean it is IMMACULATE! Outside of a hospital, I’ve never seen such a spotless building, both inside and out The housekeeping is done in your room every two weeks, and it is EXCELLENT! There is also a dumpster behind the building where you can dump any extra trash you have to get rid ofAll tenants will be given an electronic “key” This will open your door as well as entrance and exit doors around the facility Your door and most doors in the building will automatically lock The exception is the fire escape doors by the stairs, which are unlocked by lawThe utilities WORK! The AC/Heating units work, nice hot water all the time, electricity never gets shut off, (unless there’s a city-wide power outage) The building is relatively new, built in 2019 Oh, and take my word, you will be hard pressed to find ANY insects in this building!!They welcome pets, but be prepared to clean up after them there are plenty of pet stations outside to do this I am not a smoker, but one thing to keep in mind this is a NON-SMOKING facility!! You can smoke outside (there are plenty of smoke stations), but it is prohibited inside the building In fact, you can even be fined for doing so FAIR WARNING!The management and staff do a wonderful job with customers during checking in or out, and they are great in dealing with any issues their tenants may have Also note that someone at the front desk can be contacted 24 hours a day if there is an emergency or other issue! If you end up staying over six months or so, make sure you are paying on time as much as possible you will be rewarded with great deals!!!Here is a shout out to all the OUTSTANDING folks who make this hotel THE BEST!!MANAGEMENT: Cindy Hernandez (General Manager)Amanda Morris (Assistant General Manager)FRONT DESK: NoelChrisJetaimePatriciaHOUSEKEEPING: AdrianaElenaCynthiaMAINTENANCE: AldoTreyI cannot thank you all enough for the wonderful experience at WoodSpring Suites! Gosh, I love this place I really hope to see you all again!!Much Love,Mark Bellinger

Stayed on Mothers Day weekend, the property is very nice The beds were comfortable, we had a full size kitchen that came in very handy We had a great time at the pool and barbequing

There are plenty of picnic tables and pits for everyone The staff was very friendly and helpful I will definitely return and will recommend to my friends and family

John McRae

They have a kitchenette with zero kitchen accessories except to ice trays and an ice bucket The rooms are fine but the staff could use some education If they would rent a cornhole set or some kind of activity and put some more Lighting on the parking lot they could make some money there

Used to really enjoy the ping pong table but it’s gone 30 or $35 for a ball cap with your name on it, seriously Always strange to me how people pay people so they can advertise for them for free Anyway we enjoyed ourselves and we’ll be back and the swimming pool as well kept and fantastic

Kelsey Horn

Rooms were significantly dated Fridge leaked everywhere Beds were super uncomfortable

Only 2 pillows a bed and they weren’t all that great Staff was not overly friendlyPool was nice and access to the river was convenient The game room was a jokeThis is not glamping!! Don’t fool yourselfBest part of the stay was seeing the deer and hand feeding them

Service was great friendly staff Well protected Breakfast was good oatmeal needs a little work big oatmeal fan coffee was good

They have a Starbucks inside 24hrs witch is awesome if you are a fan! TV was fuzzy witch was frustratingRooms where okay I would of liked A bit more space in the bedroom Area The restrooms in the room are claustrophobic I would have liked a more spacious restroom ! Parking is 17 a night it’s not a bad price compared to other hotels It was a good stay just not sure I could stay again since restroom are really small

Matt Roe

We had two rooms for my family for a week The rooms were clean and well kept Yes the bathrooms are small but really how much time do you spend there? The staff was helpful and friendly

The pool is small ish but room enough while we were there It’s a 15 minute walk to the bars and most restaurants This means the hotel is quiet at almost all hours It’s not a 5 star breakfast but we ate well everyday we stayed with no complaints If you book through Texas tourism parking is free otherwise it’s 17 a night which considering some of the other places I saw in the area is still not bad I would definitely stay here again

david godwin

I can believe all these people posting how great this place is???? It does meet up to Hyatt standards The breakfast was a disaster had to wait 20 minutes to get in at 8 am The place was filthy and food not replenished

In addition food was everywhere on the counter! No one was cleaning the food distribution area nor the dining area Very disappointing! In addition the mattress is so soft it gave us a back ache Where is the great service people were raving about? Will definitely not return here Leaves a bad taste in my mouth for Hyatt

Awesome home only about 7-10 mins from base, depending on how many stop lights you hit Bedrooms are a decent size with a TV in your room and TVs in the living rooms as well Pros: spacious comfortable living areas with modern appliances

Large garage with room for 3 cars 3 miles from I-35 with a couple of food stores and a Walmart nearbyCons: instead of having cable, you have to subscribe to streaming apps The garage opener is via an app, which leads to technical difficulties like getting signed out of the app unexpectedly or getting disconnected from the network The rooms are locked via turbolock app Again some technical stuff like if the battery runs low, you get locked out of the room, like I didLastly, this house by far beats staying on base in lodging It’s a great getaway from work in a military friendly neighborhood The landlords, even though deployed at the time, were more than gracious landlords and got us whatever we needed, without question

Rosalyn laughlin

I enjoyed my stay here All of my questions were answered in a timely manner My GPS took me straight to the location which was a plus because I hate being lost

I like a clean environment and this crash pad exceeded my expectations The linens were fresh, bathroom was super clean and no smoke or sight of pest The only thing missing was a home-cooked meal

First of all, Nicole at the front desk was the sweetest, most accommodating and informative young lady that I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with! She found out we were here for my birthday and wrote me a personal card and gifted me my favorite chocolate! The hotel is clean Bed is extremely comfortable (important for arthritis) Location for local tourist destinations is perfect

Riverwalk and Alamo within 5 minute walkThis one is a “must stay” for a reasonable rate! You do pay for parking But they valet your car and it’s safe All good experiences here!

Hotel lobby looks clean and fresh The front desk manager who checked me in the first day was kind and friendly I had to stay for over 8 days for a business trip and booked the hotel late

Location was close to where I needed to commute to so walking to and from everyday was easy Custodian ladies were kind I only needed their services maybe 4 times throughout the week but were helpful when I only requested towelsFor breakfast I only ate on the weekends but the variety was similar to normal business items The main proteins varied from day to day and I liked that they left the leftover coffee until emptyI didn’t use the pool but the week I stayed it was well below 35 degrees F on average but guests (my room was facing the pool) seemed to be able to enjoy the heated function and the jacuzziI left around 11am on check out day but was glad to see their check out time is noon That extra hour of packing was helpfulI did get charged some nights for valet parking when I didn’t have a vehicle at all and didn’t speak with the valet attendant during my stay The hotel was kind to resolve the misunderstanding and provide a refundOverall, I’d stay again but just remember to check the receipts to resolve any misunderstandings before you leave The adjoining hotel is also nice too I’ve stayed at both and Fairfield was convenient to avoid the price gouging

Jeorgina Cruz-Beltran

This place was amazing from checking in to checking out I was so impressed with the heated pool the hot tube The shampoo and conditioner in our room was something impressive

The whole staff was super helpful and very friendly Breakfast was great and free with the stay The place was super clean Very close walking distance from the Alamo So thankful we will be coming back soon

We had a great time at this Wyndham location The staff was friendly and helpful, the common areas and our room were very clean we enjoyed the pool table and gaming table The roof top pool in the 6th floor was awesome

It has two 3ft deep sides and the middle is about 4ft The hot tub was great They also have a small shallow pool on the side very private and great for little ones They had daily things in the lobby like one day they had ice cream pops, chips, juices and sangria and the next day breakfast pastries and coffee The location is great, it has direct access to the river walk It’s a nice walk, about 10 mins to get to the restaurants My only con is the parking The only option is Valet parking for $22 a night You can come in and out as much as you want My issue is that you have to wait for them to bring your car and if you leave something in your car again you have to wait I just prefer to have access to my car at all times But the valet employees were very nice Overall we loved it and wouldstay here again

Great stay! It was nice to have a fully stocked continental breakfast Some of the food quality was average but overall satisfactory for the value The hotel was very clean and staff did a good job at being welcoming and greeting with a smile

The rooms were a little undersized and lacked any significant storage but the facilities looked fresh and was constantly being cleaned so overall would recommend a stay here Our primary reason for choosing this location was aproximity to the heart of the Riverwalk vs value The outdoor pool was nice but could have used some additional seating

Lacey Johnson

Great experience! Rooms very clean and nice Had to wait for our room to be ready which was a little inconvenient but not bad as the front desk staff was helpful and informative House keeping came and lightly refreshed our room as we stayed a few days which was much appreciated

Breakfast was wonderful Lots of choices Will definitely stay again

We booked a two night stay in a one bedroom king bed room for our anniversary When we arrived and checked in and got to our room, it was a standard double with queen beds When my husband called down, they claimed they’d “upgraded” our room to a river view with patio

Of course, they couldn’t “downgrade” us to a one bedroom with a mini kitchen, microwave and king bed because one wasn’t available I’m not sure if they don’t realize that prices are listed for rooms on their website or what, but we clearly got shafted We didn’t pay for the wrong room, but we happily would have considering it was our 27th anniversary gift to ourselves There was also the “add on” surprise he set up with champagne romance package that was to be placed in our room and that wasn’t done and when he questioned them after the fact, they claimed their third party contractor couldn’t do it on the first night and did we want it on the second? So he was disappointed with his surprise aspect One other negative was if you’re like us and ordering food in or bringing your own, bring silverware and glass if you take your own drinks They have paper cups for coffee and plastic for silverware We took our own champagne and had hoped to have a partial kitchen Maybe the one bedrooms have those things but the front desk doesn’t The rooms were nice and clean, and the service staff for the room checked in and made sure we didn’t need anything on the second day
