The Right Honorable Daniel Berulis

Staff is amazing The night crew in particular They went well out of their way to help accommodate an error in booking and made sure I felt valued and important as Marriott customer

Whoever runs this location must truly pick out the best of the best for employees and the whole place was immaculately clean Even the cleaning staff were overly polite and courteous , they held the elevator for me and then insisted that I take it and they would wait, as well as opening doors for me everywhere I went This was an amazing experience and should be a five-star hotel

Alize Shrue

My stay at the courtyard was a work trip The staff was mostly friendly except the restaurant/bartender she seemed annoyed with her job The room was clean, basic amenities and basic television , maybe 20 channels

Also there were spiders and ants present and I did get bit a couple times ! The housekeepers were nice It’s in a good location to get to the beach abs other things

Jose Meraz

My Stay was excellent I was visiting Sarasota for a vacation and I have to say that it was a beautiful hotel, pool was great, and let me tell you the jacuzzi was great as well I read some comments on here about not having enough towels but that is not true they do have enough towels and staff was really friendly too

I am from California so the temperature of the room was great I also would love to stay again at this hotel in the future because I really loved Sarasota

From the moment you walk in you’re greeted by the two most wonderful young ladies with smiles that make you feel instantly welcomed!!! Our room was clean, very modern and overall very nice The pool was amazing and refreshing, the tiki bar was a blast with the most absolute best bar tender Denise, once she takes your first drink order she remembers your name and makes sure you are always taken care of, making everyone feel as if they come first Top notch service here from the office all the way through!!! This is by far one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at and I will definitely be going back as well as highly recommending!!!! Thanks so much for welcoming our family and making us all feel right at home!!!!!

This place was absolutely AMAZING Older? sure

undergoing renovations? Absolutely The room was spacious, updated, pristine and wonderful Check in was effortless Tiki bar was VERY nice, bar tender was friendly and prices were more than reasonableONLY ISSUE – this is a VERY INEXPENSIVE place where you are getting MORE than double your money as an experience HOWEVER – this ALSO means that the “Riff Raff” chooses tom stay there Persons can be friendly, or rude We found 80% friendly, the other 20% wanted to ENSURE that everyone know they were there, they were visible, and that they didn’t care what ANYONE else thoughtManagement did the best they could, but in the end – not a whole lot they could doWould we stay again? 100% yes! Will be our “go to” next time

It would have been five stars, but they charged me the $250 breakage fee even after I painstakingly cleaned that apartment from back to front following all guides given to me and nothing was broken The most damage done was probably my father coughing up on a pillowcase in his room, so as far as I’m concerned I got charged $250 over a pillow caseAside from that it was a nice stay, one recommendation I would have is to hire a better exterminator, there are bugs crawling all over the outside of the units

Spiders, wasps, lizards, pretty much everything Florida You expect to see a bit, and there were not any bugs inside but it can freak some people out there were also ants on the patio which just went everywhere Also, our unit was fully stocked except for detergent for the dishwasher, might want to double check that

Absolutely will never stay at this place again If you have kids don’t stay here because they hate kids They have a very rude pool monitor who watches constantly through a camera and when not looking through the camera walks around the pool area checking for pool passes and rule breakers

And by rule breakers I mean kids that like jumping in pools or playing with pool toy or people eating at the picnic table in the pool area when all you’re allowed is water in a bottle My son was jumping in the pool and granted there was a sign that says no jumping but we honestly didn’t see it so this woman makes a point to point at my and tell him no jumping it’s unsafe and written right there on the board Again it was but could have been told in a less rude condescending manor Then after she left my son did get out of the pool again and when he was getting back in decided to jump in, I pulled into the side and told him that the rules are no jumping After speaking to my son this woman came walking in fast and says she heard me talking to my son but she wanted to make a point to tell him as well no jumping again and told him she would be watching him through the camera if you already heard me tell my son not to be jumping why do you have to exert your authority to say it again? We then saw her walking all around the pool area and asking every single person to show her their pool pass There was one woman that was there with her husband and he had his pool pass but she had not brought hers and she was forced to leave the pool to go get her pass and told that they would come back to check to make sure It just seemed that the only thing you could do at a pool was sit quietly in the water not even lay in the water as there are no floaty beds allowed either or lay out on lounge chairs and do absolutely nothing else I understand that rules are rules but their behavior in enforcing these rules were very rude I was so disappointed in this because I used to stay at this Villa when I was a kid and wanted to have my children experience the fun of staying here but all they got was a very boring experience as well as interaction with rude staff members

Esmeralda Cruz

so far the experience been unpleasant we had a horrible experience at a Holiday Inn at n Expedia but decided to check it out before booking I went into the office to get more information and was told they’re not in charge of bookings and it has to be done through the listed website

The elderly lady at the receptionist office was too busy talking to some guy and seemed very bothered with all my questions about check in and what the process there is like She just kept repeating that the office closes at 3pm and if we check in after, there will be a key with our room info outside of the office we attempted to keep searching for stays, but everything close was fully booked (tournament nearby) — so we booked the app stated the check in time was at 5:00 pm, but I was hoping to maybe attempt to check in early so I called and the lady said, “I’ll call you back later” without getting any information about me lovely, how do you know who’s calling? I waited 1 hour and a friend of ours book at the same place, so I called off a different number and she once again seemed so bothered about the check-in questions (keep in mind, Expedia doesn’t say anything so we were all confused/worried since the office closes at 3pm) The lady once again just stated to check in after 3pm and the key will be in a box with a map and did not want to address the other questions we had So, no now we are just waiting until 3pm — fingers crossed that the room is well taken care of and the experience is better *will update with more info*Update: the rooms are nice Perfect for a family Lots of room It’s been our first night here and the rooms were deeply cleaned They had extra towels for us The pool area is clean and the lady working there was a sweet heart She explain all the rules to us and things to do Even asked what she recommend us to do

E’ala Burgess

I love that as a Hilton honors member we get a $10 credit per person for breakfast, it’s the reason why I always book garden inn Breakfast was yummy and our server was absolutely wonderful, very friendly However I was a little surprised that they do not have any fresh fruit for the pancakes or French toast

The night time gentlemen at the check in desk was very kind and even helped to store some pies for us in the restaurant fridge until checkout Which meant so much to us, because they were for my mom, and I wouldn’t have been able to do that without him! All in all, the service here is fantastic and the employees really match the Hilton way by giving great service to their guests The pool is also a decent size, and gets lots of sunshine so it’s nice to lay out And it’s nice that they have brochures with all the things to do in the areaThe rooms however are a different story The beds are extremely uncomfortable, hard and old The room has a very clear musty odor as soon as you open the door (probably from the very old carpets and curtains getting stuff spilled on them over the years) There are no fans in the bathroom so pray nobody needs to go number two during your trip And the pillows under the cover are completely yellow The hotel needs a serious renovation, especially being in such an upscale town like Sarasota Being an airport hotel is not an exception, especially when there’s another newer Hilton in the same parking lot

Theresa Hoban

The hotel is very spacious with nice modern decor The restaurant and bar had good food and drinks but only to go because they have no servers The pool is large and great for families

The staff were very nice and customer service oriented They have some cleaning and repair issues The grout in bathroom was moldy, stain in bathtub, wallpaper peeling and stained, carpet had dark spot needing cleaning Shower curtain is loose from wall Furniture needs touch up where it’s scratched up They made error on final bill that I caught when I was home They corrected it and got the $10 refunded

Ana Lopez

Booked this place because it is pet friendly and my family and I were traveling with my small dog Our stay was OK, nothing extraordinary but we did not book any extraordinary rooms I like that they do have a pool available

Only thing that we did not like is the welcome We booked online 2 rooms and when we arrived for check in, the guy only gave us one key We then realized that we booked for 2 rooms, went back and asked He said that since we didn’t say anything he didn’t know But don’t these people have a computer screen in front of them with all information? Like we were already charged for both rooms, but if we don’t say anything we don’t get both keys? Also, he didn’t ask Very sarcastic tone was given For a one night stay its fine but will look for something else if its for longer

The staff here is phenomenal The breakfast, always wonderfully stocked Housekeeping is kind

We stayed here 5 days Did not meet one staff member who was rude , and met many who took their time to ask how you was doing and have conversation They shampooed carpets often when people left My ONLY COMPLAINT was the pool was not cleaned 5 days where there it was not touched Was disappointed that we paid for hotel to swim at and wouldn’t swim in it because it was too dirty

Heather Carlson

Location okay Super confused on how it’s “remodeled” because the only thing that’s new is the entrance waiting area Carpet in rooms is disgusting, general decor in rooms is super outdated as well as TVs and service on TVs

I have never been to a hotel that doesn’t have a hook or rack for towels No hooks besides two on backside of bathroom door So no where to hang your hand towel or swim suits Super tiny closet that was just gross Beds were comfortable but that is the only plus to this place Fridge had stains in it My pillow smelled No place to plug the coffee maker in unless you moved it and then no refills on coffee for 5 nights there Went down one morning for coffee and OJ for my daughter Coffee was sour so most likely left over OJ machine was off which I didn’t know so I kept trying and finally realized it when an employee yelled “It’s off! HELLO?! It’s off” Super super rude Pool is TINY! I would say 80% of the people staying here were construction workers working in the area I would never stay here again I’ve stayed in a lot of places and this was the worst of them all

Jose Dominguez

My stay at the Country Inn and Suites was great I just been relocated to Sarasota by my company and I’m glad that I was able to find this property Special thanks to Katie at the front desk

She took time to show me some of the rooms prior to my stay and she was very hospitable and professional I have recommended this hotel, to some of my co-workers that will be traveling down to Sarasota in the future

My wife and I visited this past weekend for our anniversary From the onset it was a wonderful stay The hotel has been renovated from the 20’s, but still maintains some of its original feel

The gentleman at the front desk was phenomenal! Luke is who you’re looking for when you stay He is genuinely happy to be there, is a wealth of information on local places to eat, shop, etc, and makes you feel like you’re the only guest he has! I will definitely be staying there many more times

We currently live in Georgia but from Bradenton My mother recently passed and we needed a few rooms for family to stay in so we could have a celebration of life I have to say that they did not disappoint! The rooms were big, clean and welcoming

The staff was WONDERFUL!! Let me say if this company reads their reviews you have found a Gem in Luke!!!!!!! I don’t think I ever seen this sweet young man without a smile in his face and with such a welcoming personality Even while phones were ringing off the hook he maintained a great attitude both with the callers and the guest infront of him We needed to extend one of our rooms for an additional night due to car issues, Terra worked it out for us and was wonderful as well Before leaving we made reservations again in April Thank you all for making a stay comfortable!!

The SureStay is not a 5 star hotel, nor does it claim to be What it is is a very reasonable place to stayThe rooms and the bathrooms were clean when we arrived, and they were cleaned well every day

The beds are comfortable, and the showers had good pressure, although the hot water didn’t get too hot

Pankaj Upadhyay

I don’t know why there are some bad reviews We stayed there for one night last month and for 3 nights around 7 months ago and both of the time, it met our expectations Bed was cozy, water bottles were complimentary and coffee was not bad

This hotel recently got transitioned to a new ownership and the new owner was very polite and humble person and considered all their guest’s special requests I wish him luck for a good business I along with my family will always consider this hotel whenever we are in town We love Sarasota and Siesta key beaches! Thank you!

Nichole Oxendine

We were originally booked at the Holiday Inn Sarasota Ap, however it was the middle of the night when we needed to check in and we were staying about week I booked through Expedia and because itv was the middle of the night the dates were not allowing us to check in immediately I called Expedia and They were able to get us in here

We stayed in the Captains Quarters yellow room for three days and had a fantastic time The room was clean, well stocked with towels, toiletries and a nice kitchen, they even had a big warm blanket for watching the sunset at the pier on the bay They were so accommodating to our questions and last minute requests

The look was awesome and private Really an oasis for our couples getaway You are right across the street from a gorgeous beach and just a couple of blocks from downtown bridge street The trolley took us where we wanted to go Beautiful place, location and service Can’t wait to come back!

Nice little place right on the beach! Rooms are nice and spacious Could use some updating on the outside area Lighting in the seating and access to beach is non existent

Doesn’t scream comfort or relaxing Photographed a wedding utilizing the staircase and beach! It really is a beautiful place but could be a gem with a little love!

The most perfect place we could’ve rented last minute for the fourth of July Our room had it’s own private walk-out to a patio with a grill, tiki hut with round table, beach chairs and a hammock From our private piece of beach you could walk past the foliage that kept things nice and private to the main beach

Gorgeous views from our room as you’re laying in bed All the maintenance requests were taken care of professionally and quickly Plenty of parking Our room was very updated with all fresh paint, new floors and furniture I highly recommend staying here We had an absolutely blissful time

I 100% recommend this hotel and would definitely coming back

This is fun hotel with a wonderful staff It has a youth hostel vibe but it’s great for families The beds are very comfortable and the decor is wonderfully playful

The one problem with the room is that space efficiency comes at the cost of privacy There’s a sliding door between the toilet and the shower so you can only close one at the time! The lobby has excellent snacks and a coffee bar

We were there to help my Mother-In-law close the deal for a new house in the area We always stay at Hampton Inn’s for we always have had fantastic experiences This was no exception

The staff was absolutely excellent! They even let us print some contract material, which went well beyond what is required The pool and breakfast were equally excellent The one issue is the mattress for the pull out mattress was slightly soiled, but in no way takes away from the overall experience Very well done!

Stay was great! Service was great! Friendly staff was great! Clean rooms! The Manager David was a star Great customer service very attentive and quick to help with whatever you need Location is not far from main attractions and low traffic so big plus there

We enjoyed our stay and will be back at this hotel next time we are in Sarasota

KAM

Edit to add: David Alexander the GM may want to stop making slanderous remarks This is my account – I posted my honest review!!! You and your employees have HORRIBLE customer service!! Once again

video will show there was no disruption at your hotel but will show your crazy behavior!! Stop being a bully!!! The owners of this property should be ashamed to have you as the GM!! You are showing your true colors by your slanderous responses to my review!! This is my account!! No one has made any false accounts Your accusations of such are disgusting!!Nothing about my review is false You have horrible customer service I don’t need to complete a stay at your hotel for me to write a review on my personal experience I was not disruptive and there is video proof of that You threatened to have me removed but I calmly left your hotel with no issues Your staff is poorly trained in customer service The GM David Alexander was very unprofessional in his dealings with me I have every right to post my honest opinion on my experience with the staff at this hotel If you don’t like what I have to write then you should have treated me with more respect!! If other people have posted bad reviews that has nothing to do with me This is my review and I stand by it!!

Joel Appel

I can no longer, in good conscience, continue to recommend this hotel Their customer relations are non-existent and the General Manager makes false accusations I would tell you that there are several nearby hotels with comparable or perhaps even lower rates

I myself suggest trying the Hilton Garden Inn by the Sarasota Airport They have excellent customer support and will go out of their way to accommodate you Additionally, this Hilton gets 5 stars for cleanliness

The beach was 2 minutes away The staff was super friendly There are shops, restaurants, ice cream shops, etc within walking distance Your are about 100 feet from a trolley stopwe loved staying at sunrise gardenThe only real con was the lack of water pressure in the shower You may as well wash your hair in the sink It was annoyingly brutal 5 stars if they figure out how to fix itIt was bad 8 years ago and it’s still bad Not a deal breaker though

Pros: this complex is an adorable, quaint, old florida style complex Very convenient for walking to the beach, restaurants and shops The pool and grounds were well kept

Any maintenance people i interacted with were very nice and responsive to what they could take care ofcons: unit 4 is one of, i believe 4, units that have an upper unit Something needs to be done to cut down on the noise transfer from the upper unit It was as if big foot was walking around I was awakened every time the upper tenants got up to use the bathroom And if they were very early risers, my sleeping in was ruined the moment they got up and started moving aroundalso, the bed was the most uncomfortable bed i’ve ever slept in Both of these issues were pointed out to local vacasa personnelsummary: i would stay here again if the mattresses are replaced and i was in one of the units with no unit above

We have stayed here 4 times now always in number 4 It’s an overall AWESOME location on the north end to get to free trolley, City Pier, Waterfront restaurant and Rod and Reel Love the heated pool area, gas grills, and pet friendly policy

However, we are considering not staying in that room anymore due to the vacation rental next door that is a house with a pool and the last two times we’ve stayed the kids (and parents) were SO loud every day that when we got back from our day we couldn’t enjoy our beautiful patio area Also, the bed is only a queen size which would be ok IF it was a decent mattress but we both had backaches from sleeping in the “dented” mattress WiFi very spotty in the room and a few buzzing outlets that need repair! Also with new owners it seemed a bit unorganized operationallyno dish detergent or coffee supplied and no one around if you needed anythingmight as well stay at a vrbo or bnb if I’m going to do all my dishes by hand (no dishwasher) strip the beds etc

I had a horrible expiration at Best Western Our first room was beyond filthy, I even have pictures to prove it The rooms smelled horrible and were not worth it in any capacity

I am clueless how this was reviewed and rated at over an 8 If anything, a negative 8 would gave been more appropriateSo after the disgusting room and having the inconvenience of having to change rooms and waste our vacation timeAfter we checked out, the active manager came out and literally yelled and screamed at my husband and then me while in the parking lot because we wanted to put a regular Walmart bag with 2 empty cups and a couple candy wrappers in their outside trash can At first Wayne wouldn’t even give me his name because I told him I planned to review my disappointment and dissatisfaction My husband went in to get the general managers information so we could reach out directly, but Wayne was now inside and ignored my husbandBetween the horrendous customer service and the condition of the room and hotel itself (there was spit/ flem on the floor of the elevator and just filth in general!) I wouldnt even recommend this place to be a doggy daycare! Worst hotel expiration of our lives! Be smart and chose anywhere but here

The rooms were very clean and well taken care of The staff was friendly and always greeted you when you came in The housekeeping was great and always replaced our towels, toilet paper, took out the trash and made the beds

Great air conditioner as wellBreakfast is included here but we did not eat it because neither of us are breakfast people I’m sure it was good as well!We were here for 5 nights and I’m glad we chose this hotel

I had a bad experience the first time I stayed here, I only went back because it was the only hotel available that night The jacuzzi rooms here are awesome I wouldn’t stay in any other room

I definitely recommend this hotel to someone who likes to shop as there are plenty of stores all in that area of Bradenton The hotel is hidden from busy Cortez road behind a Cracker Barrel The breakfast was better than most hotels and the rooms were very clean!

When checking into a hotel, I am very picky I work at a Marriott property After reading the reviews at this property and seeing the photos online I decided to give it a shot, and we couldn’t be happier!! This property gave such a cute boutique hotel vibe

Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, good quality linens, etc Pool area was clean, hotel provided towels, tiki hut had good drinks and upon checking we received 2 complimentary Staff and management was friendly, helpful, professional, and extremely responsive to any requests Definitely recommend staying at the golden host if you are looking for something affordable, clean, comfortable and central to everything 5/5 stars
