The thing my wife and I liked most about this hotel was the front desk personnel Very friendly, ( MsJess & I forgot the gentleman’s name) helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating, etc

When we got to the room, it was just somewhere to lay our head Old furnishings, very old rusty appliances Housekeeping was not friendly at all; we spoke to a few and got no response, they didn’t clean the room we were in 1 time, we even found articles of clothes from last persons that stayed there TV kept going in and out, but it was a lot better than one of the sister locations we were initially booked to stay (Really run down looking) and it was like a motel- enter from the outside so we switched to12161 Lackland Rd Location We just rested which was good!

Took a small vacation and stayed here for a few days, the room was nice and neat, check in was easy and the clerk was friendly It was really quiet the whole time and was really easy to relax While I was checking in someone asked about laundry saying all the dryers were full, the clerk handed him trash bags and told him “if they don’t take them out then you can just stuff them in this bag and use the dryer

” Ended up not doing my laundry there

Tim Hansgen

following up on a review I left earlier which included rusty stove tops, cigarette burns in the carpet, the smell of mold and mildew and the cabinets falling apart, I wad leaving this morning and found a used needle laying behind my work van more than likely from people shooting up drugs at night I will never stay here again, period the lack of concern for the care of this property is lacking severely

My friend and I had the pleasure of spending an evening here over the weekend It is a beautiful place very clean and well-kept We had the two downstairs rooms, which were just great! Fresh peanut butter cookies when we arrived, a fabulous breakfast the next morning! The owners are so very nice and friendly, and before we left we felt like they were friends instead of the innkeepers

This is a charming, quaint and romantic place to stay Located right on the Missouri river at old town St Charles, which in and of itself is an amazing place to go

This little house can sleep 4 and it is just a neat stop We stayed here for our honeymoon We want to rent the main house with some friends for a weekend stay at some point, because it sounds even more amazing

Renee Brown

We were needing a last minute accommodation for our mini vacation and Audrey graciously fit us in!The Riverside Guest house is beautiful and has everything a small family needs for a getawayThey thought of everything They even provide some snacks, and drinks

We are already planning to be back! Plus you can’t go wrong visiting downtown St Charles Historic district Smoke and Salt and the Bicycle Shop are great places to eat The Escape on Main adventure is top notch and we enjoyed an orchestral concert while eating ice cream at Kilwin’s Even with the flooded river the whole experience was wonderful

It was very unprofessional, we were there for 4 days for my bday We wake up get dressed, puts sheets and towels outside the door, saw housekeeping in the hallway as I was leaving, I said to myself perfect timing, they were cleaning rooms Saw other sheets, towels out on the floor as well

So I come back, sheets, towels were still sitting outside the door, I was LIVID 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Walk inside the room, they hadn’t even step foot in the room We didn’t have towels or ANYTHING!!! Call down stairs, she said when the night person come in he’ll bring it up, no one ever came, call down there around 10ish And asked was anyone gonna bring clean towels are sheets up, she said I’ll call and see what’s going on, they eventually brought it around 11:30 We will NEVER come back SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE

Brian Baker

Made our reservation almost 2 months ago only to get there to check in and find out that they didn’t have enough rooms Housekeeping didn’t have the rooms done at 5:00 pm and the front desk couldn’t or wouldn’t guarantee our reservation The place is now a Holiday Inn as well and the Holiday Inn is an Elimwood

Very poor way to run a business and almost 24 hours later we still haven’t received our refund I’d give it zero stars if that was an option

Jane McGowan

Our room was very humid The carpet was damp The bathtub did not drain while showering

The breakfast was good and offered a good selection The staff was very friendly and accommodating The hotel is close to many restaurants It is close to the airport We used the shuttle service twice It was very good We thought a lot of the GM being willing to drive the shuttle That is above and beyond Thank you!

Tara Point was amazing! Reservations and check in was easy (we reserved our cottage a couple months in advance), the owner is really nice and accommodating, and the views are breath taking We came in on a rainy weekend (see photos), but the experience was still just as good We stayed at Dogwood Cottage

It was nice, clean, and quiet I got up early the morning of check out and just sat on the porch and enjoyed the sounds of nature I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to get away (and it’s in Grafton y’all!)

L Lea

We loved our stay at Tara Point Those looking specifically for free breakfast (like the google heading says) should know that they do NOT provide breakfast We didn’t care as we weren’t looking for that

The view is incredible Check out the hill you drive up and down to get there The cottage we stayed in was clean and comfortable We hiked at the nearby Pere Marquette State Park and ate at the winery at the bottom of the hill

I have stayed at another of places, this place is in my top five I love the character of this place

It’s old and they keep that feel So do expect that your going to have some old issues I am live with the bed I want to take it home with me if you ever get rid of the furniture let me know I’ll come back here for the bed the rooms were super clean And the service was amazing I felt like that really wanted me here and they appreciated I chose this hotel

Torrence Jack

We were able to secure LAST minute lodging at the Ruebel which we were very thankful for The Grafton Inn blew booking due to not answering the phone The rooms are clean, air conditioned and ours had a fridge, coffee maker and a nice view

Constant access to a beautiful balcony commons area which overlooks the river It’s hauntedwhich was kind of cool Didn’t see Abagail, but our room deadbolt unlocked by itself several times while both of us were in the room (right after we just locked itmore than once) So that was interesting The bar will likely not be open in the hotel but right down the road are a couple places with great food and drinks EASY parking and a gas station right across the street The hotel was quiet and we would stay again We had fun

Only 4 of 5 because I nearly never give anything 5 stars Rooms were a good price We had a room with a balcony overlooking the indoor pool! Our waiter in the evening was awesome

Very soft beds The night lady at the front desk ,with the piercings was great! Very helpful! I wish their winery would have been open However they were short staffed and I understand that! They even had a pack and play available for our toddler! Hope to stay there again soon!

Terry Menz

We love visiting the Lodge We spent one of our anniversaries there and enjoyed hiking, birdwatching, and seeing the early wildflowers in the spring We visited nearby restaurants as well as the Lodge’s own excellent restaurant! The pool was refreshing after a day of hiking, too! The ambience is wonderful and the staff so friendly

We would recommend the lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

karen martin

We absolutely love this place which is why I feel I need to be honest It needs a makeover or someone who really wants the lodge to be the best it can be It has the potential to be an awesome place and experience but falls short because of maintenance problem’s and a lack of TLC especially in the cabins

The rustic historical atmosphere is great but should still be clean and updated A small fridge and microwave is something expected in a hotel now and definitely in a cabin but here you have to pay an extra ten dollars a day if you want a fridge I truly wish someone who had a real interest and love for the place would take over instead of a corporation who just wants to get by The lodge deserves it and so do the customers that love staying there As far as the restaurant goes, the food is great, service is good but again with just a couple of small changes it could be way better Of course we will be back because there is still alot to love about this place but we’re always hopeful that someone who has a real interest will give the Lodge the attention it deserves

I stayed here while traveling cross country with my dog The staff was VERY sweet and the location was excellent There were just a few things that were concerning

the suite had a very strong bleach smell—it was almost nauseating and the room needed airing out The room was nowhere near the pool, but it smelled like an indoor pool Additionally, the grounds/facilities were immaculate and well cared for, but there were some very unsavory characters just sort of hanging around, making it a bit dodgy to go out and walk my dog I stayed as close to my room as I could, as a result Finally, the hotel does not provide any coffee in the morning, which was disappointing It really should I was told that I could make coffee in my roombut really, a hotel should provide coffee to guests

Kelissee Garrett

The hotel was nice, the rooms were very clean The beds were comfy and checking in the workers were very niceOnce I got my room key, it was connected to the wrong room, so I had to go back, and it ended up being an easy fix

The room was 80 degrees when we got in there, we called about the air and they said it was working, so we stayed the first night The second day it got up to 85 in the room, they had Maintenace come to the room, and he said he wasn’t authorized to work on the unit, and we had to wait until the next day which was not acceptable Unfortunately, they didn’t have any rooms for us to transfer to and we had to check outchecking out I had to wait 25 minutes in line because only one person was available, and it was very busy

Liz Grose

Beware – they dropped our group of reservations and did not reach out to let us know until we called to confirm We had made these reservations approx 3 months in advance and received confirmation numbers According to the front desk, this hotel was recently bought out by another company and lost a large group of reservations when the systems switched over

Luckily we called to confirm and found out before we got there but still have to scramble to find new reservations on our own two days before our stay! They offered no compensation and did not attempt to help us find a new place It’s probably a nice hotel but Reserve at your own risk and call to confirm multiple times to be safe!

Larry N

Overall a quality facility at a reasonable price My room was comfortable, quiet and well maintained The staff is attentive and helpful

Breakfast is provided, but is of marginal quality I tried the breakfast once just once, and ate out afterwards I would stay here again, but first I will try a different hotel when I am in the area again

Marianne Hardin

I have stayed in many Hamptons in several cities for work so I guess I had a certain expectation This one is def smaller & altho we slept well & our room was very clean, bed comfy etc

I did not care for the partial wall for hanging our clothing or the slide door for the bathroom It was hard to shut quietly if you do not wish to disturb The Front Desk was friendly, parking no issue, and the Breakfast was for the most part very good It is also very nice to have your choice of coffee, tea or hot cocoa upon arrival or anytime as it is there for Guests in the Lobby We would probably stay again, but prefer the bigger & older Hampton Inns much better!

The staff here were just wonderful—the receptionist on the night of 1/31 was amazing, I was too tired to catch his name but he was wonderful Knew just how to streamline everything and was very competent and kind The shuttle drivers were so nice as well

My room and the lobby were very clean The hotel had availability at short notice in the late evening for a reasonable price, and it was just a short, complimentary shuttle ride to and from the airport Only stayed for one night but would not hesitate to return!

Stephen Gannon

We stayed for one night while traveling for a softball tournament Our thing is good price, safe area, clean property, and hot waterAs for price it was more than we had been spending this summer but it was very competitive for the area

The one gotcha is the 25 dollars in taxes for the one nightAs for safe area it was alright The area definitely is not as nice as it used It is just before the neighborhoods start One nice thing is it sandwiched between another hotel and restaurantThe property was clean but it is an older hotel Lobby and breakfast area was nice Somewhat limited seating in the breakfast area Our room was clean The AC did have a bit of musty smell It had just rained quite a bit so it was fairly humid and the AC was working fairly hardDefinitely had hot water and plenty of it Our room also had a microwave and mini fridge Ice machines on each floorThe front desk staff was very friendlySince this is a Drury property its really hard to beat with the breakfast, popcorn and soda The breakfast was somewhat limited but when you add in what it would have cost for 3 people to go out and grab breakfast its not terribleOverall we would stay at the property again

Angela Barker

Loved Catherine at breakfast, she was kind to my children and attentive and on top of it They had a popcorn machine for special socials but weren’t able to make those Fridge froze our food but did not keep frozen our ice cream🤔 The rooms were clean and comfortable, I like the closet space

Would have used the pool if we weren’t busy traveling It’s in walking distance from Bandanas BBQ which we tried Would recommend for a comfortable and convenient stay near St Louis
