My one night stay at this Fairfield Inn was a great experience The location is easy to find and near the highway Having booked in advance, check in was simple and quick

My room was very clean and up to date It was well-equipped with all the essentials The bed and pillows were very comfortableBut there was one oddity in my room The artwork (see included photo) was out of place for this quality of hotel However, I’ll probably remember the image for a long time Why? It is driving me crazy trying to figure out why the “artist” included the letter “R” twiceIf you want a snack or drink before bed, I suggest you bring your own There were no vending machines There was a “market” near the check in desk But the selection was limited And the prices were highThough I didn’t use it, the indoor pool looked inviting The atmosphere in the room was bright – rather than the dark closed in feel of many hotel poolsThe included breakfast was nothing special But it was freeCompared to other nearby hotels, the price was only slightly higher And, in my opinion, the added cost was worth itWhether traveling with family or on business, I highly recommend the Fairfield Inn near Dayton, Ohio

Matt Furrow

Stayed here a few nights while visiting family Prices were comparable to other hotels and the staff were friendly helpful The hotel, like most businesses in the service/hospitality industry was short staffed, but for the most part that didn’t impact the stay

Room was clean and comfy, and the location was nearby several other restaurants and had easy access to the highway

Heidi Aigner-Bailey

The hotel was very clean and one of the friendliest places we have stayed When walking in and out of the hotel, the front desk staff would greet you and talk with you about how your stay was going and how our baseball games were going The cleaning staff was beyond friendly when you were interacting with them in the hallway

Brady, who is the receptionist at the front desk, shared stories about her own child and was beyond friendly with our children I would highly recommend staying in this hotel

Hotel could use a thorough cleaning The carpet was filthy through out the hotel Our room had a very strong odor perhaps because they allow pets at the hotel

Our couch was very stained, and we didn’t want to sit on it Mold on wallpaper in bathroom and it was peeling No mattress pad on bed and toilet ran the entire time No wonder the room rate was $89 a night Not a good experience, I felt so unclean staying at this hotel Can’t believe it was a Marriott

A C

First time staying in a Marriott hotel, was not a terrible experience, but was honestly expecting a much better stayThings I thought was great:1 Taylor greeted us very professionally at the front desk, she was nice and patient and wished us a great stay

This and the warm welcoming atmosphere at the lobby really left a good first impression!2 Staff were really quick to help We couldn’t find the hairdryer and the shampoo in our bathroom was running low, but we were quickly helped and the staff that kindly sent these items up to us were very nice3 Our check in time was supposed to be 4:00 PM, but I was notified that our room was ready for us at 9:00 in the morning, which was a nice surprise!Things that were not so great:1 At first glance, our room seems nice, but after a quick walk through, we noticed stains on the wall and on doors, a moldy bathroom, leaky showers (our bathroom door was flooded with water), dirty mirrors, and unclean bed sheets Was disappointed since we were really expecting more from a Marriott hotel, and I don’t think this meets the standards of a Marriott hotel2 Hard water We were not able to wash our hands or our bodies clean because of the hard water3 Wifi Our phones worked fine, but our laptops weren’t able to connect, not sure why4 My card was overcharged by 30 dollars, front desk said it should fall off in 3 to 5 business days, but that was an unpleasant surprise

Deb Kirby

Rooms (king suite) are nice size But ours had SEVERAL stains, on everything Carpet, pull-out sofa cushions were pretty gross

Worst thing was the SHOCKING amount they charged us for 2 dogs under 20 pounds each $75 for first one, additional $50 for second dog $125!!! If we hadn’t been dead tired and needing a place to rest right away, we definitely wouldn’t have stayed here We have NEVER been charged such an exorbitant amount for pets ANYWHERE Will never stay at this chain again

Oh My Word

This place is pure heaven! Obviously an entire room dedicated to hot tub bliss is an instant yes However, there was so much else to love The fridge and pantry was stocked The bed was huge and comfy The check in and out was so effortless They made a guest reference guide that included everything you might need Seriously, I don’t want to tell the world how amazing this place is because I want it all for myself but to keep it secret would be cruel Have a great time!

Michelle Gibson

BEWARE! When I checked in to the Inn, I was shown around the property and was told by the owner that there was a “friendly ghost” that resided upstairs in the attic The room that I rented was also upstairs on the other side of the attic door When I was too afraid to close my eyes, I left the premises

I expressed my fear to the owner and requested a refund for my nights stay She was harsh, not friendly and non agreeable Very very bad customer service I would have been fine if she wouldn’t have told me about the ghost!

Ed Sowinski

Rode my bike out from Columbus to spend a night of exploring the Oregon district and visiting as many local breweries as possible ( there are several ) My host was super nice and invited me to share a glass of wine with her and some locals on the patio Then over to Blind Bob’s for the bestest burger ever! Great trip! I will do it again next year

We stayed here for 8 nights while in town for my son’s graduation The staff was super accommodating to our needs even got us a fridge for our room It is an older Red Roof and the electricity is not updated yet to handle a fidge in every room at this time

We were able to all the extra pillows and blankets we needed to make us comfortable All the staff is super nice Overall the rooms are nice, just need a few touch ups here and there They are super clean I carry a special black light that can detect bodily fluids and I didn’t see any all all anywhere I was very pleased with our stay Would definitely stay here again when I come back to visit my son in the future

em s

The room was clean and that is the main thing We stayed in a double queen The beds were comfortable

The room was a little on the small side We stayed on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator, so it was a pain to cart our stuff up the steps You should be aware the room has no fridge or microwave, a major draw back with kids We stayed here because we needed a pet friendly hotel The bathroom was very small and the tub would not drain The only give you 2 pillows per bed and they are very poor quality, so I recommend bringing some extra pillows The price is reasonable and the room is clean but it’s lacking in room amenities and the slow drain on the tub is a pain

Kayla Keefner

DIRTY! Shortly after checking in we noticed green on a sheet which looked like bile/vomit and asked the front desk for clean sheets which they provided and they were very accommodating While changing the sheets we noticed huge stains all over the mattress which were disgusting! At this time we decided to check out and find another hotel and the front desk staff and I’m assuming manager were very nice about it, but we will NOT be staying again The pictures online are very deceiving! Beware! It looks remodeled on the inside but clearly very dirty

This Holiday Inn Express is right off of I75, easy on/off highway and close to a number of good restaurants and small shops Staff is friendly and professional, always courteous and pleasant to deal with The only bump was a non functioning juice machine at breakfast both days

Rooms were very clean, towels decent, and a nice indoor pool Will need to visita again once the hotel updates are completed

Neal Mansfield

The staff were warm and friendly The room was semi clean but the duvets were visibly dirty and had cigarette burns literally all over It was a non-smoking room

The sheets were so old that some of the threading was sheerThe bathroom door sticks to the point we couldn’t get out The phone in the room was filthy dust and skin between the keysThe refrigerator freezer was dirty The curtains were hanging off Oddly the mattress and sheets were comfortable We didn’t see any bugs (we checked) but there are birds living in the ceiling We heard them most of the night We have chickens so it wasn’t super annoying The next guest might not think so though The hotel could stand more attention to maintenance It has the potential to be a decent hotel We were just passing through

Heidi Morrill

Booked this hotel to stay a weekend while visiting family I like to think I thoroughly research hotels before I book them but I wasn’t prepared for the very poor state of my room-I requested non-smoking and the first thing I noticed was a heavy cigarette smell

-The curtains and bedding have holes in them-The bathroom had grime in the corners of the flooring and bath-The furniture and the door are all in poor shape The door looks like it was taken from a prison or something-There are giant cobwebs in the corners of the room and the smoke alarm doesn’t look like it was installed or put in place properly (perhaps batteries were recently changed?)-The phone in the room is missing a lot of buttonsOverall, I believe the hotel needs to reevaluate the quality of their rooms as they do not appear anything like what they have on their site

Taia Carter

If I could give a negative star I would! This was a last minute decision to stay over night, due to the boys basketball tournament in Dayton! The hotel in general looks dark and dingy The room smelled of bleach, it was suppose to be a king size non smoking There were cigarette butts behind the bed, the covers and sheets had burn holes

The bathroom had missing light fixtures to keep moisture out from the steam of the shower The floor was uneven and had horrible gaps in between pieces of flooring There were people in the parking lot loudly expressing their dealer was pulling up soon It was just so many things wrong, ended up not staying there! Was informed I wouldn’t be refunded any money, I literally checked in and left the property to run a few errands None of my personal belongings were in the room The guy at the front desk said he could show us another room, who in the hell wants to stay in a crack hotel! Never will I ever stay with Days Inn again!

My family and I needed a place to sleep last night on our way to Tennessee from Michigan We weren’t looking to spend a lot of money as we were checking in after midnight & checking right now in the morning You get what you pay for & we know that

The two staff members that I interacted with were nice The rooms were fairly clean, just in need of some maintenance I did notice some stains on the sheets, but no bugs! The tiles on the bathroom floor were broken, but the shower water pressure was really nice! The hotel itself smelled like marijuana My husband chuckled as we walked in and asked if this was a dispensary or a hotel, lol Breakfast was ok! Bagels, yogurt, waffles, biscuits & gravy, cereal, oatmeal & coffee We would stay again for a quick night if we were passing through Really my only complaint is that the room has sheer curtains, so parking lot lights were really bright coming into the room

Jennifer Pickering

When my wife and I pulled in we parked close to the main door in front of a room that had a broken screen and window frame Next to that window panel in the same room was what appeared to be a dead mother in law plan that was upside downThe staff was friendly when we checked and throughout our stay

Our room had an odor to it which we could place what it was My wife thought it might be smoke, but I didn’t think soThe room wasn’t cleaned very well The sink and tub were dirty and both had hair in them We would have left, but we didn’t want to have to get another place for only one nightBoth beds had dirty and stained sheetThe hot tub had warm water, but didn’t function The pool looked like it had a film in itThere was no elevator and the carpet on the stairs was warnAt least there were no homeless people hanging around like at some other hotels in the areaWent down to breakfast at 6:30 AM and they were already out of items and they were gone and not being replaced By 7:30 more items were gone

Jen Of1

Let me start by saying they got bed bugs, for the price you have to pay is very ridiculous We had asked for a smoke free room, what we got was a really smokey room When you opened the door it hit you in the face

We went and told the receptionist and she didn’t care I have bed bugs all over my body This place is nasty and needs to closed down I don’t think the bed linens are being changed, there’s blue stains all over one of the beds I had go ask for something to spray in the room and it didn’t even work I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone Another thing I have to mention is you can hear everything your neighbors are doing We want our money back I want to leave 0 stars

We were in town for a soccer tourney The hotel was overbooked Many families that reserved a double room were put in a king room with pull out couch

Yet the hotel only had sheets to make it with They were out of blankets and pillowsPart of our contract with hotels is a hot breakfast The hotel said they served breakfast till 11 We had an early game and came down at 7:30 There was no food – just empty trays The employee said they told the kitchen there should be more food soon Our team waited 20 minutes for food It never came on Saturday morning and we had to go There was yogurt but not a spoon to eat it with That night in the lobby the bar was cash only – their credit card machine wasn’t working When I asked to speak with a mgr the employee said that they were off for the weekend and gave me an email address We were assured that Sunday morning there would be food for breakfast Sunday morning my family went down for breakfast at 8:30 Again the dishes were empty We were told they had been filled 5 times what else can she do? Well I guess keep filling them until breakfast service is over We are out both mornings and spent money that we should not have had too We had hot water but some teammates said they did not We are supposed to stay here again in May for another tourney and our team is going to try and change locations

Briana CARTER

I would never purposely choose this hotel We were at the mercy of a soccer tournament booking site, which put our team at this location The location is centrally located near the mall, restaurants, and other shopping venues, which was nice

However, the hotel itself left quite a bit to be desiredAs I was driving up to the hotel, I was immediately struck by a dark and dingy vibe During the night, I couldn’t even find an exterior sign that indicated it was the Doubletree hotel However, in the daylight, I could see the flag and the sign at the entranceWe had utilized the Hilton check-in on the app The app would not allow the exterior door to be opened so we had to go to the front desk to “check in” to receive keys The young woman working the front desk was very nice and professional I would give her 5 stars on her professionalismOnce we received our keys we headed to our room There was only two bath towels in the room for the a two room suite with a king bed and pull out couch, which was odd No bedding for the pull out couch but we didn’t need it Others in our group indicated extra towels were not available until they were done washing themmost hotels have a nice stock/supply of towels availableVery weird smells in the hotel and the hallway Hard to pinpoint the exact smell The room said it had been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized It did seem mostly clean but there was a candy bar under the bed and coffee pods still in the coffee machine, which made me question the cleanlinessThe pull out couch when using as a couch, does not keep the cushions in tact, they sink far into the abyss of the blank space in the pull out couch part so you feel like you are dipping down into the couchI understand cost cutting measures are to be expected due to these times but the soap has been reduced significantly to the size of a quarterI always bring my own soap so not an issue for me personally but if you are going to supply a quarter size soap for the shower, you might as well not supply any soap as it is too small to really do anything withOther people in our group had much worse problems but those are their stories to tell!

Jennifer Dardano

Ants were all over the place, especially in the bathroom and on the counter space where the fridge is Headboard was fabric and stained The shower curtain wad ripped in several places, looked as if an animal got to it

The digital key worked but we always prefer an actual key card as well and front desk handed one over without asking for ID or checking identity on the app The doors to get into the hotel did not close all the way or lock so it did not feel particularly safe in our 1st floor room The hotel itself is really run down looking and there were a group of people smoking pot in the parking pot right outside the entrance Although we are Hilton Gold, we were not offered any better room or even higher floor We were charged for the breakfast, even though it was supposed to be credit with Gold The breakfast itself consisted of a couple sad pastries, some eggs, no fruitThe photos on the Hilton site make the rooms look fresh and updated but don’t be fooled; the rooms, hallways and exterior are straight out of the 90’s There was nothing “Doubletree” about this place No chocolate chip cookies Saggy sofa and really dated bathroom Location is great, just off the highway and close to food, etc, but next time we’ll pick another hotel in that area

I don’t normally write reviews, but this one is necessary If I could give this place negative stars, I would The room vents had black dust all over them from not being cleaned-My son and I developed a cough while we were staying here

The paint is peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom The tub has stains all over it The bathroom fan doesn’t work The toilet does not flush right The chairs and booths in the downstairs eating area are so disgusting, my six year old would not even sit down, and honestly, I didn’t want to either We only had the breakfast here once because everything is so dirty The mattress pad on the pull out couch has pee stains on it The elevator door sounds like it’s going to trap you in there because it hasn’t been greased And the evening janitor has an attitude problem The only thing nice I can say is the front desk staff were kind Other than that, I cannot say enough that my family was disgusted by this Hilton and we won’t be back I hope this review saves your family from an gross experience And Hilton, if you read this-get your people there to clean this place up

Matthew Schutte

This place was pretty nice to stay at with only a couple inconveniences that we came across If our room,531, had working A/C like what you felt when you walked in the building that would have been great We slept in a 75 degree room all night

Not comforting Also the gym doesn’t actually have free weights like the website described Other than that it was a good experience

Adam&Eve

The rooms are fine, but the people at the front desk (day-shift) were disrespectful to me Be aware (especially if you are black or with kids) that they will give you a flashy smile just to make you feel happy, it is all fake I was surprised to see one of the senior staff (who seems to have a managerial role) reprimanding a younger associate in front of me because the younger associate gave me some information about my room bill

The gist of the story is that this senior staff didn’t want me to know how much the third party charged me for the roomthe familiar dishonest corporate system

Big Daddy Uh Uh Lady

We stayed for 4 days The staff was EXTREMELY professional, kind, and easy to work with The lobby, the rooms, and the grounds were clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable

They offered a very nice breakfast in the morning as opposed to other hotels blaming Covid-19 as being closed or the grab-and-go banana and muffin breakfast Our room was very clean This is a pet-friendly hotel apparently and they had small family reunions there We heard nothing on the second floor The GM was training a newer lady from the looks of it upon check-in We were accommodated VERY WELL against conditions from a previous hotel and made things work I wish I remembered their name but I suck as a human being They were VERY helpful and beautiful human beings The staff on cleaning, desk, and grounds looked like they actually enjoy the job and their work definitely showed that Thank you all for a PHENOMENAL stay

David Hagler

Nice property convenient to dinning and fuel Not too too far from the airport, but not close enough for them to provide a shuttle Not sure why Diamond members are not treated more special

Two bottles of water (less than a $100 value/cost to Hilton) and a first floor room, when my preference is the top floor I stay at some properties and water bottles are standard for all paying members Property was nice Employees were nice Nice gym, but every paying customer gets that Makes me question my loyalty to a brand that does not help Diamond members – me – feel special

Ryan Matthews

Without a doubt best service experience I have had at any Hotel ever My girlfriend and I travel a lot for business and personal, and we needed this hotel on short notice We got in at 1am and the gentleman working was extremely kind and respectful, which is not a common experience anywhere at 1am

The following morning we encountered probably another 10 of the staff, from cleaning service to management, all said hello, asked about our stay, and even allowed us to take the single elevator in front of them When we come back to Ohio this hotel is top on the list

The room was great Air conditioning worked well, the room was quiet, clean and spacious The continental breakfast was great and there was plenty of seating

My only gripe was with the fitness room Getting a half hour or so in on a treadmill is a part of my morning and this location had one treadmill that worked great, one that really needed maintenance and one that wasn’t working at all If there was more than one person using the fitness room, someone would be out of luck Otherwise, a great location Recommended!

Ashton Smith

Very clean and inviting as soon as you walk in Rooms were clean and a very good size! Pool was on the smaller side & no spa But kids still had fun

The main reason for the 5 stars is for THE STAFF! They were all so pleasant and helpful I’m never been to a hotel where every single person working acknowledges you and makes sure you have what you need and that your stay is going well

Our room had a bed with big sag in it Bathroom door would not shut completely Looks to have settled or had water damage

Tile floor was also broken Public bathroom smelled horrible and had not been clean in the morning Pool was niceOther family said their room was great Breakfast was good

We booked our room a month in advance and paid for it We arrived late but called to be sure our room would be available and the desk assured us our room would be available because we had paid for it Well, they had already resold our room when we arrived and told us no refunds

They gave us another room with smaller beds and charged us again at a higher rate (our kids had to sleep on the floor) Sheila, the manager avoided our attempts to contact her for two weeks I had to call the corporate office to file a complaint and then she still avoided our calls (She was at the hotel when we called but conveniently unavailable) Finally I had corporate call her and put me on the phone with her She refunded partially the additional room cost but failed to make the situation right I informed her I had read the hotel policy on ethics I felt this was a violation She was rude and sarcastic, “I am surprised you can even read” was her reply There are many other choices for hotels in the area and I recommend you look past this hotel for one that treats their customers with more respect and offers solutions when they make a mistake instead of insults

Serious remodeling needed Carpet wearing Curtains are older

A/C, heating system is loud Pluses are, beds are very comfortable Good breakfast, dining area was clean and well stocked The kitchen staff though one woman, did an excellentjob The gym had no sanitizer and equipment needed cleaning ie the only working treadmill Very pricey for the quality of the hotel

I will start off with some good notes The staff was very friendly and so were the patrons Their breakfast was big, with a lot of selection

That being said, this Hampton Inn is in shambles Every amount of furniture, in the rooms, halls and breakfast area is ripped, torn, warped, scuffed etc It feels very run down Not well kept AT ALL There is no Wi-Fi The air didn’t work in the room and was definitely not on in the halls/elevators Although it was not the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, I would not recommend this hotel for anyone Pretty disappointed with the hotel and their price You don’t get what you pay for

We stayed three nights from Minnesota to visit family and celebrate Kings Islands 50th birthday Very convenient to a myriad of restaurant choices The staff at this hotel was very good and room rate more than reasonable

Room was very clean and the beds comfy The hot breakfast was one of the best with choices of two meats- bacon and sausage The pancake machine was a clean way to make pancakes and the cinnamon rolls were very good The breakfast staff (two were working) were excellent staying on top of everything Mike at the front desk greeted us with great customer service we don’t seem to get much lately at other hotels He checked to make sure our room needs were met We will stay here again

Stayed for two nights visiting family in the area Prices were comparable to other hotels and the staff were friendly helpful The hotel, like most businesses in the service/hospitality industry was short staffed, but for the most part that didn’t impact the stay

Room was clean and comfy, and the location was nearby several other restaurants and had easy access to the highway

The service was excellent! While inspecting my room I was personally texted and asked if anything was needed Which I ended up texting back and asking for a roll away bed Which was delivered quite quickly! Great service! After a rough waking because the ROTC was there as well

My breakfast was comped I will definitely stay here again soon

The rooms were large and super clean The staff was also super nice The breakfast was probably one of the best continental breakfasts I’ve ever had at a hotel

Also, my mother in law left her purse behind in our room with $700 in cash and some personal items They were all found and shipped back to us promptly Derek, the housekeeping manager contacted us to let us know that they had found a bag in our room Thank you for a great experience!

While traveling for a funeral My fiancé, mother in law, daughter and myself stayed here for two nights The last hotel we stayed in was not up to par

The breakfast there was not acceptable for me to even feed my dog The rooms in this hotel exceeded everything! Our housekeeping was so understanding My daughter had an accident and they were so accommodating to get us new bedding! The front desk, exceptionally friendly! The hotel smells fantastic for as weird as that sounds, but the front desk employees were constantly spraying and cleaning! Then the breakfast staff, super friendly and made you laugh! I don’t think that could’ve been a better way to start your day! Thank you again!

This place is bizarre Whoever built this place did not care because the wiring in the rooms does not make sense to what turns on and doesn’t The beds are so high off the ground for some reason

The entire construction of the hotel does not make any bit of senseWe also did not like breakfast starting at 7:30 That’s a personal preference, but I feel like most hotels start at 6:30Definitely a 2 star hotel for a reason

Wonderful hotel adjacent to the Rose music venue This property was spotlessly clean, bright, modern, easy to get to, and right next door to the Rose music venueThe staff was friendly and helpful

They seemed to actually love their job The room was quite, cool, and clean The entire property had a clean scent The included hot breakfast was a welcome surprise and allowed us to hit the road home fasterIf you are attending an event at the Rose music venue, then this is the perfect place to stay No driving or parking Just walk over to the venue and avoid the long exit lines

New hotel Some rooms might feel on the small side but the higher ceilings and modern finishes and furnishings make it work just fine I thought the breakfast was good and everyone like watching the automatic pancake maker

They are not bad pancakes either I suggest starting breakfast at 6am for us early risers I like the open, community setup of the lobby with games and areas for semi privacy without feeling isolated I think that the finishes in the room I had will not hold up long and I hope Hilton keeps on top of the maintenance or replacement that will be needed

JR Edwards

Great location for concert goers It was great having a good time at the concert and no worrying about driving or catching an Uber However, for the price the room was too small, the bathroom was not clean very well, and the bed felt like sleep on a rock

If you planning on partying hard at the Music Center then this hotel is for you My wife and I, will try a different hotel

Robin W. (Rogue 300)

Other than a minor issue with the kitchen sink leaking under the cabinet (easily addressed with a mixing bowl for the duration of our stay) everything was perfect The 1 bedroom suite was more than enough space for 2 adults and our cat (she gives it 5 paws) for our 2 night stay Next time we’re in the Dayton area, we will definitely be staying here again

The staff was wonderful and the hotel is in a terrific location

David Hewitt

It’s simple and cleanBut, two appliances (one in the kitchen and bathroom) were not working properly There is also no recognition of status

Breakfast is basic and parking is “free”Missed the complimentary happy our, but it is a nice touchThe Staybridge is fine, but there are better choices in the area Key appliances not working in the room was disappointing

Baxter Exum

Overall, we had a great 4-night stay Mary at the front desk was outstanding As others have noted, though, the room had a weird layout

The TV was perpendicular to the bed, making it hard to watch And the bathroom is on the other side of the bed, laid out in a way where there’s no privacy and you nearly have to step into the shower to be able to close the door No hot tub, only a pool (I must have just missed this in the list of amenities) Everything else was great
