Rooms were quiet Was there for 8 days for funeral Maid service was terrible

You had to put something on your door requesting room to be cleaned up with fresh towels and miscellaneous items One day I did request maid service no one came in to do room Had toCall front desk to get towels and toilet paper and other miscellaneous item Wish they had a book in room that showed what tv channels and what there hotel offered Stayed in Ada room No fan in restroom Not a lot of water pressure in showerOur daughter had another roomUpstairs She said freeway was loud Fan was loud and room was mixture of outdated furniture and wallpaper coming off wallsDon’t know if it was worth the price for the roomMay stay somewhere next time I came But this place was only one convenient for the funeral

Staff is professional and helpful In room coffee is quite good, plus they give you more if you ask! Bed was super comfy – pillows a bit flat but I had the best nights’ rest here Huge in room TV! Since my family is expecting many family member headed into town for our wedding I am confident this Team will provide a positive experience

Having stayed regularly over the past 13 years, this was our go-to spot for a little luxury getaway stay for a room with a jacuzzi tub to relax Since moving to the area, I’ve routinely recommended the INN at Gig Harbor to family and friends However the most recent visit left us disappointed

The exterior of the building remains charming, but the rooms, furnishings and linens are in dire need of attention and updating

Our stay was very pleasant! The staff were kind and attentive! Our room was comfortable, clean, and accommodating I am not sure if every room has this, the headboard displayed some of the local town in a painting style A unique touch! The continental hot breakfast was well put together! With all the amenities this hotel provides this surely made a great deal!

Overall a very good hotel The only reason I rated a little lower is that the neighborhood around the hotel is starting to get pretty run down There is a tent city directly on the other side of the fence for the hotel parking lot and a lot of activity there

I do want to note however, that we have not had any issues at all related to that, and the hotel staff is awesome and very accommodating They have a very secure parking lot and key requirements to even get in the building as well as night security guards as well That being said, I don’t like feeling like I’m in prison when I go to a hotel Hopefully the city will get the area cleaned up

Ambria Affriseo

Surprised with the size of the rooms & I loved the lighted mirror & window covers They allow as much natural light as you want or completely darken the room I through some sound motion lights around the head board of the bed & gave the room some color therapy

The kids loved it Also, the storages made it easy to keep the room looking clean while still having all your personal items at your fingertips & organized Overall I give this hotel ☆☆☆☆☆

While the hotel itself is usually OK are the changes due to Covid challenging for the guests Room service is reduced to once per week, while that is OK due to the current situation should have rooms though been equipped with more necessities such as toilet paper, towels, laundry baskets etc Also, would it be nice if each room would have some sanitizing wipes so guests can clean their rooms since Room service only happens once a week

When you have kids and/or dogs you can imagine the mess that could happen, especially with the carpet floors that the rooms are equipped with so be prepared to bring a bunch of wipes and maybe some carpet cleaner so you don’t walk on stickiness until Room service comes While it is completely understandable that during these uncertain times change had to happen, could have other things like equipping rooms with more necessities been implementedAlso,During our stay were there dog poop stains in the hallway for almost 4 days While no fault to the hotel or it’s employees and only the fault and laziness of the Dog’s owner is it still disgusting to see it and it’s a germ pool It simply should have been cleaned right awayFurthermore,The situation with the laundry room is not any better While the washing machines are fast and get the laundry clean, are the dryers the opposite Small loads of laundry took 3 hours to dry and sometimes even after 3 hours it was still damp Either replace the dryers or make sure that they get cleaned out properly (vent, lint trap etc)

Great military hotel to stay in The breakfast was GREAT! The staff were super friendly from check-in, housekeeping, and the kitchen There are also free laundry facilities on-site, just bring your own detergent

My only two gripes were the internet and cable TV The internet is very slow, so if you plan on streaming shows or movies (and you will want to with the second gripe)…be patient! The second gripe is the cable TV is standard definition It is 2021 and you have HDTVs in every room…yet every cable channel is Standard Definition With the size of the TV, it looks TERRIBLE The selection of channels and movie channels were great, it was just the picture qualityOtherwise, I highly recommend this hotel!

Overall quite decent and I enjoyed my stay The reduced and discounted rate that was offered for the month of April was a good idea but was just a beginning The rates are still way out of line with what is charged at other Army lodging facilities

These other Army lodging facilities provide substantially the same level and quality of services They do so and offer substantially better rates

This place is nice After check in we discovered that our toilet leaked at the base when flushed, so they gave us another room within an hour Breakfast is on the go and simple

Rooms are clean, beds very comfortable and towels are soft Nice atmosphere and the office personal are helpful and respectful Our six day stay was very pleasant

Miss Lindz

Pros: Nice quiet location, there was an issue with the original room and they switched us right away and the front desk girl was super niceCons: I see other reviews talking about soft beds but mine was so firm that I could barely sleep and woke up with a massive headache For whatever reason, the toilet would not actually flush and would fill with water and maybe 10mins later, it finally drained

Only really taking one star off cause of a horrible night’s sleep from a too firm bed

Doug Brown

Room wasn’t the cleanest was dirty under and around bed, dust and dirt between end tables and wall but bed itself was clean and comfy, bathroom was clean, has refrigerator and coffee maker, wish it had a safe though, has a pool I didn’t swim in it but looked very clean Service was great and continental breakfast was good Overall was a good experience and would stay here again

We loved spending part of our honeymoon here! First off, the location can’t be beat Situated in the lovely North Slope Historic District, it is a stone’s throw from the bay and downtown shops Picture Little Free Libraries, porch cats, Victorian and Craftsman houses with massive front gardens wreathed in hydrangeas, foxgloves, and cherries

We even saw mountains on our morning stroll We got to see Stadium High School, which the owners’ daughter attended, and checked other cool oddities off our list, like the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and Bob’s Java Jive The proprietors, Jane and Skip, were solicitous and sweet Their son even made us a bouquet for our room! So thoughtful! Jane helped us secure parking, chatted us up, made us comfy, and cooked the most delicious sour cream ricotta berry crepes We loved the cookies, the quiet, the museum-like interior, and the charming Alice room with the yellow floral wallpaper and ensuite bathroom I wish we could’ve stayed forever

Paula Meadows

Absolutely incredible I spent 1 night here and wish I could have spent more! The shower had broken in the room I had booked so they put me in the suite and oh my goodness I’ve never stayed in a room, or place, more beautiful You can see how much work and time the owners put into the B&B, Victorian influence everywhere! The owners are so nice and spent time with us at breakfast

I forgot a ring in the bathroom after my stay and they took the time to mail it back to me I have recommended it to all of my friends and this stay is the main reason I will visit Tacoma again!

I was Surprised and Pleased with my La Quinta Hotel decisionI have lived in the Tacoma area for about 25 years and two years ago moved to Arizona I travel back-and-forth for business

The city has gone through so much since the Covid situation it’s hard to determine these days where to stay The location was central, they kept the facility locked and safe 24 hours a day The staff is what made it a five-star visit everybody was friendly and very accommodating I enjoyed that they had a continental breakfast in the morning and then they serve dinner from 5 to 9 in the lounge I felt it was affordable and the food was good Again mainly the service was five star thank you very much to the staff I’ll see you again soon!

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any stay This web site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the best in the area

It’s your typical La Quinta Inn Staff was very friendly and helpful! The first room we stayed in was a bit messy but they had no issues making in right at the counter They were very apologetic and quick to give us another room

Breakfast was great, nothing like waffles and some orange juice Absolutely enjoyed the little restaurant on the first floor There was barely anyone dining in when I went and you could change the tunes through the tune app on your phone I ordered a BBQ burger and they didn’t disappoint at all! I’d recommend staying here if you’re in town or don’t want to spend too much on Airbnbs There’s also plenty of places nearby that you could walk to

We had a nice time at this B&B which is several bedrooms in a house with a hosts sleeping in the basement We were pleasantly surprised to a delicious homemade dinner Safe and free on street parking, no pets allowed

Beautiful garden Bathrooms are shared, but we were the only guests for our bathroom which was nice Kitchen has everything you might need and the house overall has the “visiting grandma’s house” vibe down to a T Breakfast at 8am sharp but none of it was hot (not an issue) so we probably wouldn’t have gotten up quite so early if we had realized that Our double bed was rock hard, also not an issue for us but something to note if you have any back problems The hostess is such a sweet lady and great cook which is why I rate 4 stars and not 3, and also because I don’t rate small business low But I would rate 3 because the host began a prolonged discussion about politics over breakfast – and by discussion, I mean we listened to him talk about his opinion on vaccine mandates and lying politicians We were asked repeatedly don’t we agree – we didn’t, but our hesitancy to answer and vague “not really”s did nothing to quell the speech It was thoroughly awkward for us, especially as a nurse This occurance is still bothering me five days later But overall a solid and homey place to stay

The history of B&Bs in the US began when people would let rooms in the homes to travelers passing through This helped families through challenging times, such as the Great Depression Often travelers would stay only one or two days, have breakfast with the family hosting the travelers, and then the travelers would fix or buy their other meals on their own

Patty and Jerry have captured the essence of a true B&B experience, but enhanced it with wonderful breakfasts catering to special diets, warm personalities, and a charming ambience My travels kept me there way longer than the average, and they were very kind about my staying They even stepped up and have given this mom a huge peace of mind leaving my college freshman 2100 miles from homeThese two are kind Accommodations comfortable and homeyHighly recommend and will be backOnly negatives like hotter shower and one twin bed is harder than I am used too But they still get a rarely used 5 stars because everything else, including them as people, deserve this and a bonus star if allowedOther bonuses: super close to UPS, Gig Harbor, shopping, restaurants, hiking trails, and other attractions If you need anything, just ask either one and they will do what they can
