No wow effect It’s an Inn, not a five star hotel, but we were surprisingly very comfortable Spent four nights there

Inside and outside were very clean Staff was especially friendly and accommodating Exercise room was sufficient to get in a good workout Laundry facilities on premises Breakfast was grab and go continental and much appreciated Room was very large About a five minute car ride to downtown Used the money saved on the room to treat ourselves to two really good shows at the Blue Note Highly recommend MANY food choices, from major chains to independents, and a Target across the street Overall positive experience and great value Glad we didn’t spend twice as much or more to be elsewhere

MeExpressing MusicExploration (Me-Me Music)

Very suitable for a quaint, low-key Nappa California work or visit Across the street from a large full range shopping center Facility and rooms have a fresh remodel

Staff are great Good amenities for not being a large facility Nice little workout room, jacuzzi, pool and serve a light breakfast Sliding hanging bathroom door and shower door 👏🏼👍🏼👌🏼

San Chin

The curtains in my room were too narrow to cover the whole window so people can see into the room at night They were about 15 foot too narrow

There is only one small mirror and it is in the bathroom We went for a wedding event, had to time share the bathroom to get dress and makeupThey call this place a PLUS, but it is worse than regular BW

My husband and I had a perfect stay at MacArthur Place in October 2021 We reserved a room with an outdoor shower and it was very romantic The grounds are immaculate and they offer multiple fire pit areas that we enjoyed with our morning coffee and before going to bed at night

Service was always top notch I had a wonder massage at their spa and we had a delicious breakfast at their restaurant, Layla The entire experience was 5 star We have recommended this place to multiple friends and we’ll stay here again the next time we come to wine country Highly recommend!

Amanda Ruth

Found the hotel by happenstance – stopped for a lunch at Layla and fell in love with the property We were staying at another hotel but promptly checked out and checked in at MacArthur Place instead! The property was incredibly beautiful with plenty of winding garden paths between buildings, lots of places to sit and enjoy the scenery with swings and fire pits The room was similarly beautiful and well decorated

Everything in the hotel feels very deliberate and thoughtful, with a perfect mix of luxury and comfort Service was exceptional Hands down one of our favorite parts about the visit here, will definitely come back!

Tricia Tebbutt (AU)

Definitely a 5 star stay Fantastic aesthetics, with a very friendly atmosphere Would highly recommend for a luxury stay in Sonoma

Pros:- Lovely, well kept rooms We stayed in Jasmine Cottage which was spacious and beautiful- Restaurant and bar was excellent- Service throughout the hotel was friendly and efficient (Miranda at Layla was fantastic)We were particularly impressed by the Hotel Manager He is ever present, focused on all the small details of the place, isn’t afraid to help out (we saw him collecting room service plates & cleaning a stain off the floor) and seems to be warmly respected by all the staff The hotel is very well run and that is no surprise, given this type of visible leadershipCons:- Gym is a little small- Drinks service at pool is limited

The Cinnamon Bear Creekside Inn is a fantastic place to stay! We stayed two nights and had a wonderful time The hosts, Karen and Larry are phenomenal Breakfast was delicious and the spread they put on for happy hour was delightful

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Karen and Larry as well as other guests throughout our stay The Inn is very homey and our room was clean and comfortable We hope to be back again soon

Christine Mehew

The Managers, Karen and Larry, are what makes this place so special They truly care about their guests and want to make sure they have a wonderful experience Karen makes a full homemade breakfast and happy hour is full of more incredible dishes that she creates as well as delicious Sonoma wine

They go out of their way to do whatever is needed to make your stay excellent The grounds are quaint and situated close to the river and there is a nice outdoor atrium with tables and chairs and pretty flowers Don’t bother to look any further this place is the best!

Ashley DeWeerdt

Our stay at Cinnamon Bear Inn was wonderful! The hosts, Karen & Larry, were amazing We’re both a little shy so weren’t sure how we’d feel about the social hour & community breakfast, but they were so comfortable and so fun! We loved meeting the other guests and sharing stories Karen explained the wine passport and we were able to Uber to a few wineries to take advantage of it

The walk to the square doesn’t take too long and there’s so much to see and enjoy there too! Thanks for a wonderful stay!! And the breakfast was amazing! We had to stay somewhere else our last night because they were full and Karen still invited us to breakfast our final morning 🙂

It was nice and comfy and not too expensive, the clerk at the front was nice and explained everythingI overall enjoyed my stay, I’d compare it to the holiday inn express next door, oh and yes free parking and free wifi, nice size flat screen, clean bathroom, comfy pillows and convenient highway access, close enough to nearby stores etc and jelly belly factory

Duana was WONDERFUL! She booked our room for us, and every interaction we had with her and other staff members was easy and enjoyable The room was very affordable, big, clean and well laid out, and the view and the landscape around the hotel was absolutely beautiful We didn’t have any problems whatsoever, we will definitely stay there again if needed, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a room while in this area

Thank you, Duana!

Edit to answer the laughable response from some Hampton social media intern:I have contacted you Several times I’ve spent a dozen hours trying to get my money back

The $400 hold fell off and $400 was refunded because staff should have realized I never checked in the first night, but they’re refusing to refund another $400 I’ve provided my call log showing I called Screenshots of messages with my husband and friend about cancelling I remember specifics of the conversation with the representative I’ve offered a doctor’s note proving I was bedridden Hampton insists on retaining $400 they stole, $400 I can’t afford because my little brother killed himself and I paid for his service My card was declined buying food for my 2-year-old because of this theft Don’t performatively pretend to care while stealing from a grieving mother It’s horrifying the face Hampton puts on to lure in more customers while blatantly robbing me I hope my $400 is going to a good cause – oh wait, it will just go to the $55 million salary of the CEO Gotta make sure this year’s bonus tops last year’s, $1,072,500 wasn’t nearly enoughOriginal review:Horrifying customer service I called and cancelled my reservation five weeks before my anticipated stay, since a necessary medical procedure was scheduled for the same time They still pulled $1200 out of my account after the cancellation The first employee I spoke with was kind and reassured me that she could see it was a mistake and they would refund The manager the next day was a different story, you would think she was Mrs Hampton herself She refused to listen to my proof of the cancellation and was unbearably rude She had the audacity to try to scold me because if they gave me the money back, Hampton would be out money because I “didn’t show up” I was understanding that mistakes happen when it seemed like we could work it out, but not after her way out of hand response I explained I am neither capable of, nor responsible for financing the ineptitude of the Hampton employee who confirmed cancellation of my reservation She pretended to transfer me and just hung up Hampton corporate was slightly better, and it looks like the employee that was supposed to cancel accidentally just cancelled one (instead of three) nights I will never give this hotel my information ever again If that was an example of the kind of service the site manager thinks is acceptable or professional, I advise everyone to stay away from this place as well

Interesting and neat place to stay The room we had in the Annex building was very spacious and comfortable The bed was supportive and comfortable to sleep on

Everything was clean It was handy to have the little kitchen area with sink and a microwave Would have been nice to have paper towels for the dining tableThe building itself was quiet Train and shouting from an upset individual in the early hours not uncommon in this area Overall, if you find yourself in this area needing a place to stay, this is a pretty good choice

Alison P. Hunter

This place was so good the one tiny bad thing stood out:An insufficient number of shower curtain magnets to hold the bottom seam tight against the tub wall resulted in the clingy wet ghost phenomenon that nobody likes, especially in a public placeThe hotel is so good that you and I just shared moment about a super-mild inconvenienceCheck in was seamless, room exceeded expectations

It was quiet and clean and comfy and I would absolutely recommend it

I was looking for a place to celebrate my wife’s birthday and came across this hotel This place is much nicer in person We got carriage house 103

it was really clean and had a little kitchen, a really nice bathroom with huge glass doors We also had a private patioI do I agree it’s a little tricky finding the parking lot and hotel since everything is in contact less, but the lady from the hotel was very helpful, texting me all the instructions The railway across can be a bit loud at night Other than that, it’s a great place to stay close to restaurants and freeways Prices are very reasonable, being that it’s in san Francisco We definitely would return and stay longer

This hotel is solid I’m staying here for almost 4 weeks (for work) and I think that in itself makes it a tad difficult to enjoy With that being said the staff have all been great

The cleaning crew has been nice and have only missed my room once when I wanted it to be cleaned It sucks that there isn’t a free breakfast, but the 24hr snack zone stash by the front that has been very useful

My family and I have have been coming here since 2021 & we enjoy our stay every visit The daytime staff are always welcoming & hospitable Rooms are nice & we love that pretty much every time we come to stay we get the view we request of Discovery Kingdom

Also, with the cost of prices pretty much everywhere going up, we love that we can just walk to the park & enjoy Our kiddos also enjoyed the pool this time & loved how comfortable the water temperature was We love coming here On a small little note the night staff (weekdays) may want to work on their hospitality We will be back again & soon Thank you Courtyard by Marriott in Vallejo Oh and finally, the hotel manager (Kaitlin) is really nice, hospitality, & cares about the hotels guests Thank you Kaitlin & your wonderful staff

Booked weeks in advanced, but rooms oversold Checked into only room they had left It was not clean, bed unmade and garbage in the room

Smelled strong of marijuana They said they registered a room at a nearby hotel from reserves, but when we got to other hotel we found out Courtyard never called They made no other reservations for us We had to figure out our own lodging, and now I’m still trying to get my money back Do NOT recommend

Corduroy Truey

It was an alright stay and it was comfortable but when you fail to provide the basics such as drinking water, it fails expectations I woke up with a incredibly dry and sore throat but was greeted by the fact that the rooms do not provide cold water and I have to either pay for water upstairs (325$ per bottle) or you’re forced to go downstairs and use the bathroom sink

Not everyone is looking to spend 30$ on literally water

Very clean and exceptional service The towels were brand new and if good quality The room has everything you need

It’s a simple place and it’s an excellent choice for those who want to be close to attractions and don’t want to deal with parking problems and inflated rates in the downtown area of San FranciscoI highly recommend this place!I feel sorry that I left without leaving a tip When I noticed I was already too far to return there I will do it in the next time

REV

Rooms were clean, beds comfy, the young man working the desk was very friendly and kind but the older gentleman was rude, threatened to tow our cars because we had more than one, we traveled hours from Nevada to stay here I paid for 2 adults we met up at the lodge in our own cars just to be met with a rude guy threatening to tow our cars because we had more than one Worst part there were open spaces all night so our second car wouldn’t have inconvenience anyone instead we had to park our car at a nearby hotel our friend was staying at This older man really shouldn’t be working in a customer service environment

It’s a mixed bag at Muir Lodge The room was nice, with good lighting options depending on the time of day I got use out of the fridge and especially the nice sized freezer which could comfortably fit a pint of ice cream

The shower was hot The complimentary water was a nice touch On the negative side, the bed is creeky, the pillows were difficult for me to sleep on, there is significant road noise and temperature regulation is challenging I’d still stay here again if in the area though

Jason Perkins

They are doing a great job with the remodel Reasonably priced and clean I travel with equipment, so being on the ground floor with an easily accessed door is always a plus

The details added like water and breakfast danishes were nice And the street isn’t loud to me but the earplugs are right there if needed

Juan Lopez

Room was clean but the fridge had old food in it from who ever stayed there previously and it looked old so who knows how long it was in there for Not alot of parking space I had to park really close to the side walk hoping I wouldn’t get towed or a ticket luckily I didn’t Also bathroom was clean except the tube looked a little dirty

over all not bad for a one night stay I would just recommend for house keeping to look in the fridge and clean it before someone else gets there

My family and I stayed for one night Our room was very spacious There was one main room, the bathroom, which was bigger than most hotel bathrooms, and a smaller room with the second bed

4 night stands in total The rooms were very nice The lady at the front desk was very knowledgeable on things to do in the area The breakfast was only okay There wasn’t a huge selection of food, but I still ate a lot The only thing that was less than good was the breakfast, everything else was good

BogartOf Santee

Located a walk away to a commercial complex, though in a residential side, the facility is excellent We stayed for just one night for place to sleep in The outside might look a little old with those adobe bricks, but the inside is a different story

The bed were comfortable, pillows were top notch hotel kinds and they have a flat screen TV Room were typical size for a 2-star hotel with plenty of space for your luggage and other things to store It has its own convenient mini fridge and a microwave by the hidden cover cabinet below the TV The bathroom is clean with updated sink and stand up shower stall is very convenient Water runs hot in about 5 seconds after turning it on the first time I can see that this hotel pays very important to the convenience of their guest because they do make sure that the rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable I highly recommend this place I suggest a coffee maker though in the room, instead of the guest going to the food area to get it and only available in the morning

We were expecting more The room we had booked was “not available” when we arrived, but we heard someone watching a film inside… we were supposed to get a sms with the instructions of the check in because we arrived after 6pm but we didn’t and waited one hour outside Rooms and atmosphere were fine

Hot water came after many several minutes and breakfast was short (fruit and yogurt ok but no bread or solid apart from cereals :S) And no real plates or forks, just plastic and paper ones!!!

Trinity Ostberg

I stayed for two nights and overall I loved it The room I stayed in didn’t have a bathroom, but there were two bathrooms outside of the rooms with showers There were sitting areas with little coffee pots and tea bags, it was adorable

The rooms are slightly small, I didn’t mind it, and the balconies give you a darling view It’s a quaint, cozy hotel

Dravis Lutherin

Let me put it like this; it was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had For paying over $140 a night the continental breakfast was a coffee jug placed out in the restaurant bar No, like literally that was the continental breakfast

Terrible service as well The room was infested with ants! I had ants still crawling out my MacBook on the way back home Workers also weren’t helpful and often left you with judgemental looks as you walk past them Don’t come here unless you’re looking for a bad experience overpriced for a definitely overdue “4-star” hotel inspection Not worth the price nor the stresses of the poor hotel and restaurant management here

My wife and I ate a rather enjoyable lunch here over the weekend, basking in the beautiful weather outside in their little bistro area The food was very good, with appropriate portion sizes – filling without being enormous – and generally excellent quality The wine selection was solid, and even the coffee was tasty

The interior is also beautiful – looks like a fantastic bar and indoor seating area We’ll definitely be back again sometime soon!

Delicious food, incredible ambiance, must visit this cool little historic hotel, restaurant and bar when coming to SonomaWe had the pleasure of hosting a reception here recently The staff was incredible, especially Ayla who went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome! She was non stop hustling and obviously very hard working

Kristin is amazing, genuine, and easy to work with She helped our family put this emotionally tough event together The end result was a beautiful celebration in the hidden Garden PatioThank you Swiss Hotel!

If it wasn’t for the grumpy older hostess at the front I would’ve given this place 5 stars My fiancé and I walked in with our 2 year old who was starting become antsy for some lunch today It wasn’t particularly busy and we stood at the front for a while before we were finally acknowledged

Immediately she gave off the impression that we were an inconvenience since we had a child with us I get it, kids aren’t always fun to dine with but we were still very far from a full on meltdown and hadn’t had an outburst or caused a scene She left to go seat another couple and told us she’s be back10 mins go by and nothing, she then brings another couple to the front and starts helping them while ignoring us entirely The couple she was helping actually had suggested that’s she seat us first because we had been waiting a while Instead, she roped in a waiter to seat us who was kind and friendly while she glared at us over her glasses Our waitress was AWESOME, and all waitstaff was attentive and kind, even interacting with our toddler and striking up friendly conversation Food was delicious and served quickly which I was very impressed with When I had mentioned that our interaction with our hostess was less than pleasant, our waitress had acknowledged that this seems to be an ongoing issue and implied that her behavior was also common between the hostess and the other waitstaff I sincerely hope that this review could lead to a training opportunity because good staff is difficult to find, but harder to keep if the environment is toxic as a result of negative behavior I would love to return again but could do without the subpar hostess experience
