Wonderful The people are genuinely nice and fun but professional Christine is amazing! The rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed

The beds and pillows are very comfortable for a hotel The public areas are open and inviting with comfortable seating options, room for kids to run, wide halls and a general feeling of comfort There are two separate outdoor areas to enjoy The pool is clean, having the exercise room and laundry was great for our extended stay One of my best experiences ever

What an absolutely amazing 1 night stay Quick trip to the capital city of Raleigh for a birthday celebration Our front desk associate made my wife feel super special because it was her birthday celebration and she was super nice to the both of us

The rooms are super spacious and squeaky clean! Felt like a small apartment with all of the amenities, great hotel Most definitely coming back!

J Sawyer

Very clean room, as well as lobby, patio areas, pool, elevator, etc

We felt safe and secure with the extra measures of room key access required for elevator operation and entry into the hotel after 9pm Quiet and orderly fellow guests Comfy bed, sofa pullout for the little one, plenty of spaceespecially the kitchenette It’s as if they did an AirBnB market analysis to pinpoint what guests want and reimaged the typical hotel room Each inch of the room is intentional, user friendly, and did I mention clean??!! We also enjoyed the clean HEATED poolThe surrounding area was not important for us on this trip, but from what the eye can see it’s a ghost town from what it use to be The mall is less than desirable, however the Barnes & Noble with a Starbucks inside it was great! We ordered food delivery for supper and enjoyed it on the hotel patio

A decent hotel but we the room we reserved didn’t match the photos on Expedia Was expecting a walk in shower for mobility issues but we had a bathtub instead But that was our only complaint about the room

The digital key worked about 40% of the time I think something in the hallway was blocking the signal We would have to stand in one specific spot in the hallway to get the door to unlockParking was good, well-lit Would’ve been nice if they offered EV charging stationsThe hotel is close to Crabtree, which is nice We walked around for a while and got most of our meals from the food courtThe stay was nice, but I might choose elsewhere next time I’m in the area

Been an HHonors member for years This is my first ever review We paid the members’ rate for a room for one night with the Breakfast for the next morning

Our experience began when after checking in the day before and selecting a room, we arrive at the hotel and our room is changed I was told I changed it before arrival The room was clean, but not what was expected at a Doubletree, especially for the price I mentioned we purchased the room with the breakfast option We get our coupons after check-in and the next morning we show up for breakfast only to be told the coupons are good for $15 per person Anything over that amount will have to be paid for The coupon states plainly, ” good for a complete breakfast or up to $15 ” I attempted to point this out only to be told the coupons were only good for $15 I really think we were ripped off I strongly recommend you find somewhere else to stay I will probably go back to using Marriott from this point forward

Klstyles

Very disappointed and I’m still here

No microwave in the room, No water in the pool and no cleaning service you are on your own Towels are hard to get short staff! Ice machine was also down The highlights are the cookies and charming decor and close to stores and restaurants No free breakfast and be ready for the holds for incidentals which wasn’t mentioned at booking! Also had a extra roommate I had to kill! Was woke up to loud repairs by my door Then after being there for days with no cleaning service boom a early morning room service knock the day of checkout why?

The hotel is dirty and needs a thorough cleaning The only thing I like was the bed Garbage was laying around in the hallway, garbage can by elevator was overflowing with trash, it smelled like cigars in my room

Not to mention it was 10pm and it sound like track and field was going on above my head I was very shocked to see that in a Wake Forest hotel I left a day early because I couldn’t do another stay in those conditions And those pics are very deceiving The rooms are so small!!!!!

Maria Nieves

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a mouse! The property is run down and looks nothing like the online photos The bathroom shampoo dispenser was dirty The carpet was stained

The paint job was shoddy The side entrance to the building is unsecured There are old mattresses just lying around in the stairwell There is gross rubbish piled up in the parking lot And then there’s the mouse that we spotted in our room the last night at the hotel GROSS!

Bree Normandin

Is there a negative rating? POOL WAS NASTY Avoid this hotel at all costs Advertise a hot tub and pool, nasty dirty, hot tub hasn’t worked much in the last two years

Doesn’t look like they clean the pool Wifi doesn’t work People making loud noises all night long I will never stay at this place again They promised another member of our party a refund for multiple roaches in her room but have not delivered They make promises for refunds and don’t deliver I should have checked the google reviews

AMAZING! We had a family stay to visit relatives 2 day stay Incredible staff

The amenities in the room and within the hotel are great Pool, Breakfast, Cable TV, Coffee Maker, Refrigerator etcThe hotel and the rooms are kept very clean The staff is consistently making sure the COVID protocols are met If in and around the Wake Forest, NC we recommend Hampton Inn

Lyerly Dawg

Great service at breakfast from Ms Reece She juned around making sure everyone had what they need

Love the waffles both plain and blueberry The front desk was very efficient and gave me extra bottles of water and snacks Will book here again when in Wake Forest Just needs a renovation in the rooms No closet except behind a curtain Old style room

Lost My FlipFlops

Breakfast is great The rooms are small Staff is amazing

But the housekeeping is poor I have been staying here for 3 days now and no cleaning of the rooms, spoke with the front desk, were not sure if they can take care of the room due to 3 call outs Not happy with that Calling corporate to discussI went to the next step which was Email there complaint line This is what I stated:We were coming to Raleigh NC not for pleasure, we lost a family member suddenly The Hampton Inn was recommended to us and we booked a room for 3/16 to 3/22The reason for my complaint is, we had no housekeeping for the whole time we stayedAfter spending hours with your family, under these stressful conditions, which would be the viewing then the memorial service you look forward to just relaxing in a clean fresh room to gather your thought together and come to the realization that you will no longer will see this person againBUT no my requests have gone unheard I requested many times to have my room tided up but my request went upon deaf ears I would never ever spend my heard earned money in a dump such as the Hampton Inn and this is an embarrassment to the Hilton nameFunny thing is throughout the premises the door mat states “If you are not happy, We are not happy” what a lie Nothing was done I was even told by one of the desk women when I made my request, and she cringed her face saying well we do have 3 people who have called outAs a paying customer, 1-do not cringe your face when a customer has a request 2-we do not care how many people called out That should have Never been told to your Guest So this Hampton Inn has no Southern Hospitality that I hear North Carolina supposed to haveI will be letting everyone know my experience with the Wake Forest Hampton Inn in North CarolinaPlus I want someone to contact me in regard to my complaint

I don’t usually give five stars but in this case it is well deserved The hotel is very clean and the staff is extremely accommodating Breakfast offers perhaps the healthiest options that you will find along with your usual eggs, sausage, pancakes and biscuits fare

The rooms are very clean They don’t give you worn out pillows I have stayed in hotels where the pillows were thin enough to read a newspaper through These were nice and thick and they were happy enough to give us extras I forgot to bring shaving cream and a razor and they were kind enough to provide that free of charge The front desk also who is very patient in working out the discounts associated with our conference status Highly recommended!

Cory Walker

I’ll start by saying that my stay was pretty much excellentHowever, everyone said that service here was the selling point That was not my experience

Called the front desk in the morning and was left ringing for several minutes Decided to walk down to get some assistance, but there was no staff at the front desk while breakfast service was in full swing After asking around, I finally discovered Victoria hiding behind the partition saying “ I didn’t see anyone here” all while continuing to ignore other phone calls being made to the front She did, of course, assist me once another staff member got her attentionI left and came back around lunch time to process my late check out, only to find my room key no longer worked No worries, I just headed to the front desk to…again find nobody there She had “stepped out” and so I patiently waited ~10 minutes for her to mosey her way back Not to say that she shouldn’t be allowed to go to the bathroom, just that I didn’t sense much urgency to assist the customerThe experience otherwise was fantastic Good food, excellent cleanliness and room standards, etc 10/10 Victoria was consistently polite in all my encounters; I don’t seek to malign her But the service wasn’t exactly as stellar as other reviews state; got a real “just chillin at my summer job” vibe from the receptionist that wasn’t exactly concordant with the aforementioned reviews In the grand scheme it’s not the most dire complaint, perhaps one not worth even making But seeing as the GM is reportedly running a tight ship, I thought it prudent that she know my experience

Crystal Blocker

Nice rooms! Very Dog Friendly which we LOVED! The breakfast was Very Nice, and they also rotate days serving turkey sausage and pork sausage/bacon The pancake maker is Amazing and they come out so fluffy and perfect The pool and hot tub was relaxing, but the hot tub jets were not working that well or only one at a time

I wouldve given 5 stars but for such a pet friendly place they should have a small fenced area to walk the dogs They just have sidewalks and small skinny strips of grass/landscape I LOVED that they use DOVE products in the bathroom because my daughter and I have sensitive skin so that is great that they care and not resort to cheap products Overall I would stay again!

The photos of this hotel’s rooms are better than the actual rooms There was a less than desirable odor in the room (we bought air freshener) and some of the towels had mascara stains on them So they could be washed better

Good thing I brought my own towels The restaurant and bar was great The customer service was pretty great Over all we had a great stay

Jushanna Goree

This hotel is wonderful It is located across from one of the Duke Medical Center locations The lobby is spacious and up to date

Check-in was quick and the staff were very helpful and efficient No complementary breakfast, but you could purchase breakfast in the lobby for $15 Snacks available for purchase at front desk (no vending machines) Bar with kitchen located in lobby as well Rooms had iron/ironing board/ hair dryer/ fridge/ microwave/ coffee maker Very comfortable beds We had a suite with a parlor room The park room had not been cleaned when we arrived, but was cleaned quickly after the front desk was alerted The parlor room had it’s own entrance with double doors The double doors had a 1/4-1/2 opening that we learned allowed hallway light to filter in and you can see through it Since it was after 11pm and just an overnight stay, we just draped a sheet over the door and did not alert the front desk

Lisa Williams

You have to PAY TO PARK!!! I’ve NEVER stayed anywhere that charges guests to park The hot tub is STILL closed Breakfast costs $16 a person

There’s no microwave in the room For a Hilton I am VERY disappointed I’d been better off keeping my La Quinta reservation I thought this would be a better place to stay Boy was I wrongThe ONLY good things were the bed is comfy and I could take my dog Which I could have done at other hotels Will NEVER stay here again, especially not for their current rates

Clean and pretty cool common areas Realized I needed a handicap room, as I had surgery and wasn’t aware what my needs were going to be The extremely sweet lady at the front desk was quick to change our room with nothing but kindness and understanding

No bed bugs ( I check EVERYWHERE I stay), thank you!! Awesome courtyard area with a gazebo Each room has a private patio ( or balcony) Very quiet here, and their checkout is noon I’d definitely stay here again!! I’m pleasantly surprised

Fantastic hotel right next to the NC state veterinary hospitalThe staff are very friendly and helpful A full kitchen supplies the food for the included breakfast

It’s remarkable that they offer this level of service for such a cheap priceAside from the hotel being a bit older, the rooms are very well maintained and clean Obviously the management really cares about this place and the customer experienceThis is my first google review… I’m just so moved by this place… because it’s that exceptionalThank you all again You all made a stressful time for me and my dog in the hospital much easier

Josie Ragains

We booked this hotel after our AIRBNB canceled on us So glad that we did It’s affordable, clean, and the entire staff was really friendly

Best of all their complimentary breakfast was actually good I normally skip out on that amenity at other hotels Also, the airport is only a 15 minute drive, which worked perfect for us I read some of the negative comments and honestly if you want more out of your hotel… then pay more at a newer hotel But this exceeded our expectations and we’ll definitely be back

I had surgery on June 1st so we decided to come down the night before and stay and leave the day after The room was clean and well maintained The beds were very comfortable

Close to restaurants Checking in and out was a breeze Very polite employees The day of departure, we went out and our vehicle wouldn’t start It’s a brand new vehicle so we knew it was the battery My husband went in and asked if anyone could give us a jump and the manager came out with a jump box and it started right up Will definitely stay here again!

I stayed at this hotel 3-4 nights a week for almost a year traveling for work The staff is the absolute best and treated me like family The rooms and bed are very comfortable

4/8/2022 Booked my stay online through bookingcom and was pleasantly surprised when I made it to the property I want to begin with the price ($134) was AMAZING to be right there on Glenwood Ave

The front desk attendant was very bubbly and made me feel immediately welcomedThe room was so much better than I expected it to be don’t wait just trust me and book No bugs, no outdated furniture or fixtures The bed was comfy and the shower was HOT just the way I like it and did not run out ( I like to think I’m in concert while in the shower so they tend to be a little lengthy lol) The room came equipped with a stove, dishwasher, and dishes I think I even remember seeing a laundry basket in the closet for your dirty itemsAs perfect as this hotel was there was 1 tiny thing that could potentially be an issue for some guests I did see next door where they were doing construction I personally didn’t have any issues but I was there during the weekend, so they weren’t out

Best Hotel Staff and Room I’ve been in during my stay in Raleigh Especially that area of Raleigh Close to downtown

Only problem was the powered eggs; they were so bad but the service and cleanliness was top notchEven lost my wallet and had Dashawn ( day time hotel staff) walking the parking lot to find itIt was in my room the whole time but came down and gave him a thank you gift for helping easy my mind🙌🏾🤗 Great stay great beds and clean room Fresh AC

There were several things that stacked up that make me give this hotel as low a review as possible When we got to our suite, the key cards didn’t work so we had to go back down and have them re-scanned When we were able to enter the room we immediately noticed a foul smell

After we did some investigating, we found a large bag of days-old takeout food that had been left under the sink in the kitchen along with several other items of garbage The front desk staff immediately came up and cleaned and sprayed and were super apologetic about it which I appreciate Our room was on the 4th floor and the windows were left open And the morning after we got there, we quickly realized there was no shower curtain We checked out two weeks ago and I was told a manager would call me back I’ve called back to the hotel and I still have not had anyone reach out to me Despite the gorgeous room our stay was severely affected by the smell, cleanliness, not being able to shower and lack of communication from management despite all of my requests

Kristin Latorella

By far the worst experience at a hotel We had confirmation for 2 rooms but they only had one available We had four adults and had booked 2 rooms with king beds

We had to get two roll away beds which were extremely uncomfortable Mattress covers were stained Back doors were propped open for anyone to come and go freely The elevator was broken

Really nice hotel, reason why I typically choose a Hilton when I have to stay somewhere Place was very clean and all the staff were friendly I was a little sad we could only stay the one night

We even got some cookies after we checked in, which is a nice touchThe breakfast was good for $10/person, a much better deal than trying to find a place to eat in Raleigh I have to give a shout out to the lovely lady at the breakfast buffet this morning, she had a unique name and I can’t remember it One of the guests was in a wheelchair and came down for breakfast She set up a little table, and made his plate and some coffee, that was soo sweet of her to go out of her way to do that I thought I felt bad since most people don’t tip after paying for breakfast, but she definitely deserves it!Great place to stay for a good deal, you won’t be disappointed!

Prince Lofton

The customer service was excellent Very professional and they were wearing facial mask However when I checked in the room, there were Doritos chips ALL over the floor

Under the furniture and even near the restroom I called the front desk and notified them, and they said okay Also, the coffee cup lids had sticky orange substance UNDER the lid as if it had already been on top of a cup Not sure I will be staying at this property again I was informed through the check in staff member that this property was under renovation, and by the end of this year (2 more months) this property will be a Hilton owned property I actually look forward to the Hilton experience as the property is convenient for me for work commuting

We had a blast ! My husband, both daughters , their husbands, 4 grandsons, oldest ones girlfriend & my great nephew were there We ate nachos, popcorn, pretzels, burgersThe barrel racing was fun, bull riding was seat clinching! We’ve been coming to the Rodeo for years & we will be coming back! Thanks for a great time!

Wake Lady

Wow! anyone giving this campground a good review has quite obviously never camped in a “Nice Campground” We had planned on staying 7-10 days while visiting family in the area, but left after just three daysFirstly, the place is nothing more than a large parking lot with hookups

No amenities such as picnic tables, fire rings, or bath houseThe Wi-Fi is almost unusable, tested at an unstable speed of 15-2mbps Something as simple as checking emails was slower than dial-up, so we used our phones for such tasksAfter the first day, our equipment was filthy; due to the dust raised by the disrespectful residents speeding through on the dirt/gravel roads There are signs posted telling folks to drive at speeds as to not raise dust, but are ignored And there are no security patrols to enforce any such rules!Foremost was the fact that we did not feel safe We noticed a lot of semi-permanent campers/construction workers?, even though we were told that the maximum stay was two weeks And with that, we noticed a lot of outsider vehicle traffic throughout the campground at all hoursEven though Jordan Lake State Park is much farther from our family, we have moved here and what a difference! We will NEVER stay at the fairgrounds again! Oh, and keep in mind that most of the good reviews here are for the State Fair, not the campground

We stayed at this very nice hotel but after 10pm everything shutdown including Any kind of hotel store that sold snack I am diabetic and they told me the closest place to get food was walking distance about a half mile away and hung up There should be some kind of food available for people in need

They don’t have any working vending machines It’s weird

Local Runner

This is a very nice, comfortable hotel with all the up-to-date unique amenities! As you walk into the large beautiful hotel lobby you are greeted by staff there to assist with your luggage or whatever you need The front desk staff were very nice and pleasant and once you are checked in, they provide you with an brief overview of the hotel and the location of things I stayed on the 12th floor and my room was very uniquely modern with a comfy king sized bed, a large glassed walk-in shower, a huge television and a nice chase lounge in front of the floor to ceiling windows providing a beautiful view of the city

A very well equipped fitness center and large indoor pool on the 4th floor also with floor to ceiling windows providing a great view as you are working out Hotel rates are very good to be in the center city and adjoining the convention center however be aware that you must pay for parking at the rate of $1200 a day

My Son and I were very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and the excellent customer service I would love it if there was a pool there and if the customer’s had the option of smoking rooms available It’s inconvenient especially when you’re a Senior Age and have to go outside to smoke and there’s not even a chair or table to sit down

However, I would recommend this one and it’s priced reasonable 🥰❤

Clean, comfortable room Nothing fancy The room had a few damaged spots on the wall but they were small

The room was probably over-priced but that’s more a result of the market No complaints about the room or the staff Wasn’t crazy about the $100 damage deposit I had to pay upon checking in – that was unexpected and not disclosed beforehand But if you’re just passing through and need a clean room for a night or two, this is a good option

Booked through Bookingcom 5 days in advance Had a confirmation email and number, but hotel did not have the information for our stay

Thankfully, they had room and they treated it as a “walk in” When I pulled the comforter bad, there was a hair on the sheets Old fashioned rubber bath mat grossed me out A/C unit did not cool effectively Overall price was good, but I would have rather paid more for a much cleaner, renovated, and comfy-feeling place

We were there to attend a concert at the Amphitheater and found this hotel nearby Very, very pleased with the hotel It was exceptional clean, fresh/modern and really like the layout and design of the King room

Someone gave a lot of thought into the design for it was spacious and very practical with design and elements Best Mini fridge I’ve encountered on my travels with great depth and overall capacity The bathroom was spacious, and the full wall length vanity was a plus for unloading both our toiletry bags Used their shampoo/conditioner and was very impressed with the brand (RAIO) – kept touching my hair throughout the day for it was soooo soft Ended up ordering the product from Amazon The bed was very, very comfortable The front desk and hotel personnel were super friendly, astute, and go out of their way to help you The hotel is conveniently located to various restaurants and shopping areas yet secluded from noise and traffic I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area and highly recommend this hotel!!

Very friendly and helpful staff Appreciated the water bottles at check-in Really comfortable room

You know how some rooms can get too cold or the bed is too close to the A/C? Not the case here It cooled effectively and I stayed comfortable all night and also warmed up when I wanted it to be warmer during the day I had a top notch experience here

Nice hotel that has a small indoor pool Lots of seating in lobby and looked clean I’m giving 3 stars due to the sheets and blankets for pullout couch didn’t seem clean

The blanket had a set of eyelashes stuck to it and a dead ladybug When my husband went down to get a new blanket they gave him a duvet cover I thought it was a window curtain at first

We stayed back in July 2021 The lady working the breakfast was phenomenal She was all by herself but she could multi task so well

Truly professional The gentleman working the front desk was polite and courteous I would recommend this hotel to anyone! But the fact that its on New Bern Avenue and I grew up in the city of New Bern doesn’t hurt either Ha ha

Parking lot was very small for us to park Clerk was very nice and welcoming Our room smells like someone had been smoking pot in it, the exhaust fan didn’t qork in the bathroom so it made the room feel like a sauna, in addition to the fact that the ac wouldn’t keep the temp in the room regulated and so obnoxiously loud it kept us up most of the night

I was in town to take my state boards and needed a good night’s sleepthat definitely DID NOT HAPPEN! We are high level IHG rewards members, so we used our points to cover the room, it showed This must be where the guests that use their rewards get stuck and the “paying” guests get put in the nicer rooms
