Clean, beautiful units, pleasant garden area and common area similar to an English Bed & Breakfast Safe & easy to access parking lot that’s secured Cafe next door for any quick bites or coffee/tea, and community gardens next to cafe

Kind staff Also there are random events like Jurassic Park movie night in Greenhouse with free snacks and drinks – very cute!

Benson May

Lovely experience overall Exactly as pictured, our room was exceptionally clean and well stocked with numerous cute welcome snacks/tea/coffee All-stone shower was a highlight

We stayed in the room with bunk beds and an in-suite bathroom, the space was perfect for two and felt spacious with the separate dining table under the bay windows! Each staff member we met was friendly and excited to share restaurant recommendations and advice about Detroit, and helped make our experience five-star!

Sharla Hunter

Stayed at the El Moore Lodge for New Years Eve 2021 and this hotel is very nice The secure parking was definitely a plus as well as how to access everything upon arrival I stayed in the Moonbeam Cabin and it was exactly like the pictures online

For anyone who stays here in the future they do offer Netflix and Youtube TV The views are spectacular and I would definitely stay here againThe only downside I would say is not being able to access other streaming apps such as Hulu when doing so it asked for a pin, also no phone to be able to call downstairs if needed

This will be my go-to lodging for Little Caesar’s Arena events! Beautiful inn – main floor, hallways, and guest rooms The rooms are spacious and well-appointed The entire mansion has the feel of luxury lodging

The staff is friendly and helpful The location cannot be beat Just one block from LCA Parking (paid) is right out the back door There was no water glass in the room, but this was probably an oversight Communication could have been better, but the overall experience made up for this

Jonathan Fuhrman

Stayed here because it was the closest hotel to Little Caesars Arena for the Dua Lipa concert Not only was it convenient but as somebody who loves antiques and vintage homes, it was over the top fabulous to stay in In addition to the spacious room and bathroom, there are three seating areas on the main floor that guests can use

Just a very lovely place with great staff Highly recommend!

Thais Ziroldo

I had the worst experience with this place and unfortunately the staff was also not accepting of our complaints as other reviews mentioned The room was disgustingly dirty Dirt everywhere, stains on the sheets, ripped towels and comforter, the blinds of the main window which faces the street wouldn’t shut and there was nothing we could do about it, room temperature cannot be adjusted and it was insanely hot in the rooms, etc

the list goes on and on… there was so much dirt everywhere, pills from previous guests on the couch, rose petals on the floor, etc I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I had such a horrible experience that I literally checked out early after not even 24hrs there and checked in somewhere else I have no idea how this place has good reviews or is considered 4 star hotel Literally the worst hotel I’ve ever been in my life

The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was awesome! Lots to choose from! However the shower curtain rod was bent and needs to be fixed The front desk foreign lady came on a little strong about being in pool area before it was open She could have handled it a little nicer

“Like I am sorry the pool area is closed and we just put chemicals in the pool that maybe strong, so could you please come back at 10 when it is open?”

Peachy Ski

Very nice, comfortable and i love their breakfast, they have morning specials that include a type of meat and eggs Staff was nice once they saw me/us for a few days My room was clean and besides making one noise complaint for the upstairs neighbors over the weekend, i would stay here again

Pool and gym seemed clean though i never went Was cozy, but still modern in a way that made me satisfiedAlso can i just say the amenities were quite fancy in comparison to previous hotels and i loved the way i could control the air conditioner from the wall Simple and sleek Oh! And i cannot stress how much i loved the little pond with lil fish in it, they looked well taken care of too Also i quite enjoyed how open the vending corner was, you put money on the counter, and take what you pay for!I’ve stayed in this area before, so location was convenient with Walmart and McDonald’s close by

Kati Hopkinson

The hotel was fine as far as structure and the rooms were great We stayed in a room right next to another couple of “white” people As I am white as well

And we had 6 people stay in our room woke up in the morning of check out to a couple of workers yelling at an African American that she had to many children and they all couldn’t go in the pool at one time had to be split up and couldn’t get in without a wrist band! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? My family was allowed to go into the pool without wrist bands which we had 6 the other white couple had a party of 2 This lady had 6 six! 6 of her OWN kids and they aren’t allowed in the pool at one timeThis world needs to change and people most definitely need to change Be better Best Western!

So after reading the reviews I was very leery on getting a room for 2 nights here I am glad I did Staying in the king room executive suite

Very nice The only problem is the dim light in the shower room Front desk was awesomeOk day 2 No housekeeping Went to get clean towels, you could definitely smell pot in the hall way!!!!! Kids running lots of slamming doors and yelling Unfortunately I will not be staying here again I believe that they do have families staying here for very long stays

Pheng Lee

I would recommend staying away from here Booked two rooms, both double beds One of the room had lip stick on the pillow and smelled like cigarettes ( booked a non smoking room), and the second was unsanitary

The bathroom was so beat up and dark, didn’t even bothering showering There were stains on the sheets, the refrigerator looked like it haven’t been cleaned in ages No elevator either, and the hallways gives off a sketchy feel Spend the extra bucks and stay elsewhere 👎👎👎👎👎

Robert Allen

No breakfast Beware and look deep- at first site it looks clean until you peel back and look it’s a mess Used packs of coffee and shampoo

The shampoo left a blue stain on the bath mat Stains on the comforter and sheets Hairs in the bed, on the sink and in the shower Shower could use a major paint again since It is showing dirt and pits all over Ya it was cheap and I guess I got what I paid for Look elsewhere and spend 10 more dollars and be happy you slept elsewhere

Nice place It’s really cheap if you get the dorm style room The bunk bed rooms are the same cost and quality as a Motel 6 or Days Inn but smaller

Not sure about the single bed rooms Feels very home-like but also feels like a place for travelers It’s about a half hour walk or 5-7 minute drive to downtown It was kind of cold last time I went though, I woke up a bit cold and the hot water in the first floor bathroom didn’t seem to work right

I stayed at Hostel Detroit for three nights in October 2021 Any time I texted or emailed with staff it was always a helpful experience and I felt supported with my questions Being still in coronavirus times, the place was fairly empty so I didn’t see but one other guest while I was there

Someone was playing loud music to make up for the lack of other guests my first night, but I was exhausted and didn’t ask if they’d mind turning it down after quiet hours started I had rented a private room to have a “home base” for my stuff, which was a good decision regardless, though I ended up not needing it for privacy 🙂 shoutouts to Stevie the bike, I put it through miles of Detroit roads I tried eating at several of the places recommended by the hostel and all were great I love hostels and I loved that HD had private rooms for those of us who want the social aspect without necessarily needing a luggage lock when we leave I appreciated this strange time for what it was, but look forward to when I can hear people from around the world talking about their lives again

Max is absolutely awesome! I checked in today, the first room was stained with hair dye, but max made sure to give us another room I was skeptical but this place is well worth the price! The customer service here is unbeatable, there was a fresh hot pot of coffee when I arrived, the rooms are decently clean, I honestly have no complaints other than I wish I had a door knob on the bathroom door other than that I have so far had an amazing experience and will be spending more time here! The comments about bugs

I’ve not seen any and I have checked under the mattress and everything If you want a decent room at a decent rate with awesome customer service id advise you to come here and ask for max! He will put you in a room and make sure your satisfied with it! Thanks Max you made our day today my guy!

Absolutely disgusting!! Sheets were not changed, bath tub was dirty, floors were so dirty they made my feet black! I kept feeling like something was crawling on me it was BED BUGS, I have bites on my chest and arms! This place needs to be burnt down absolutely disgusting I’ve seen some crazy hotels but this one was the worst I’ve seen my room didn’t have a dead bolt is was broken off! I switched rooms and the dead bolt in that room the screws holding it in the wall were stripped so there was no point of it being there, the windows were plastic! The heater/ a/c unit was disgustingly dirty and it smelt horrible when it was on, the toilet was so dirty! the bathroom door had a hole in it! The bed literally had a spot that was so sunk in from someone sitting on it, the bed was so uncomfortable! SAVE YOUR SELF!!! DO NOT DO NOT go here!!!!! I don’t understand how this place is still open!!

Timothy Freund

Didn’t like the lady that checked me in Had issues with my ID and told me if it didn’t go through I might not be able to stay there I was thinking all right by me cause I was already over her attitude the way she presented herself

Somehow it went through then she gives me my room key and doesn’t tell me which building I’m in or where room is I had to physically ask Not familiar with the property The checkout was much better experience with two different ppl checking me out of the hotel(training I believe) Rooms were OK No batteries in the TV remote I wasn’t going back down to ask night clerk enough dealt with her from earlier

I stayed in this hotel many times before Usually when the manager is working, everything seems to be alright as she is much more accommodatingThis time my experience was not so great

I came for a business stay The moment I entered the room, there was an odd smell I thought positive and said it’s probably air freshenerThe shower had just barely any pressure, I’m not sure if they’re trying to save on bills but this is not what I expectedThe sink in the room needs attention, the handle slowly turns off the waterSome guests were having a ball right outside the hotel and you can hear them playing music, talking, and laughing pass midnight (12am) The hotel staff did not do anything about itFinally I wanted to leave a day early and asked if I could have a late checkout, the front desk lady said no because the rooms are booked She asked me to check out at 11:00am and not even a minute later

I rarely leave reviews at businesses, but this one, everyone and everything across the board was excellent! Very clean establishment, good ac/heat units, nice beds, hot breakfast (self prepare), gym, shower is good and hot, Buddy’s Pizza is NEXT DOOR plus other eateries are very close by, I could go on and on Best hotel for my needs, I will highly recommend!

Zaneta McCatty

Customer service was great from beginning to end The rooms were dated and just didn’t display the cleanliness we’d hope for The ottoman definitely looks like someone had a happy ending, this was here when we entered

The material coming from the bottom of the couch may seem small to se but to me it’s avoiding a charge for something you didn’t do The heat didn’t work properly unless it was blasting The only noise you could hear was a family having a good time to what sounded like spades (you could only hear them when walking past their room)all I know is they had a good time and he made his books 😂 We had a bit of a snafu and forgot something and again customer service was spot on We were called back about a coat they found in one of the rooms, so like a good mom oi retrieved it only to find out it was not one of the kiddos that joined us but that they found that coat already in the room 😳🤔 How if the rooms are to be cleaned thoroughly after a guests checks out? Aha! It wasn’t cleaned properly which is how a coat was still in there unless it was the workers who had a “happy ending” 🤷🏽‍♀️

Best buffet ever! Mashed potatoes with gravy and prime rib and awesome service I love this place At first when you walk in, you are I timidity by the line; don’t be

It moved FAST and they are very organized at getting you to the lay center where you can pay with credit or debit and even cash Then you are seated quickly and they bring you drinks You leave full and happy Huge dining area And the area around is gorgeous to look at and enjoy

Nate Smith

The customer service was great, the valet treated the car great, the bellhops were polite and informative, and the food/bar service workers got stuff quickly I like ordering drinks from the machines, it’s really convenient! I had a fun time gambling, and even won a little bit of money This is also the best place ever for people watching, I love interacting with all different kinds of folks here

Hoping to come back when I can spend more time in the casino

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and I wish I could have given this hotel a better rating but the room was disgusting After a long 7 hour drive from Chicago, we just needed to rest The mold in the shower was clearly present

A drawer was missing from the dresser Parts of the walls in the room and bathroom had fallen off This room should have never been rented to a customer The only things that were clean were the sheets/pillowcases and even those were questionable because there was hair on them and I’m bald This place needs a lot of help and I don’t see myself ever staying here again

Ticara Cook-Hill

First my husband and I was excited about the prices and what the room offered until we checked in the room There was no microwave or refrigerator, the maintenance man was contacted to locate one for the room The key works when it wants to

There was stains on the comforter and the sheets has holes in them The lamps in the room has a lot of rust on them It was a hot mess, I do not recommend that anyone stays in this hotel unless you are prepared Also there was no phone in the room to contact the front deskNEVER EVER EVAAAA EVA STAY HEREI RATHER SLEEP IN MY VEHICLE

Kimberly Gillespie

The rooms aren’t bad, but the customer service experience was horrible In order to rent a room you must make a cash deposit Apparently in order to get your deposit back you need to bring back a copy of your check in receipt (I was not verbally told this by the person who checked me in and it isn’t written anywhere on the premises)

When I went to check out the rep informed me I couldn’t have my deposit until I found the paper I brought up the fact it wasn’t written on the paperwork detailing the deposit process; he said it didn’t matter because no one reads it (he also told me “thank you for me telling him how to do his job”) When I came back with the paperwork his response was “that wasn’t that hard was it” I took back my deposit and told him he was horrible at his job He stated he was going to ban me from the hotel, good thing I plan on never coming back Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had

We stayed here in late June, 2022 The staff is friendly and helpful The TV didn’t work when we first arrived and after checking the commonsense possibilities for it not to work, I called the front desk for help

The night manager, Michael, asked a few questions to determine if it was a quick or simple fix and when those options did not work, he was up at our room within minutes Turns out it was a loose cord on the back of the tv that we failed to check, but he was still very friendly about itThe breakfast meals were good, hot and had a variety of food choices I was surprised when I asked about butter for a biscuit, I didn’t see any and the employee, Belle, found some a short time later and even brought some to my table for meThe front desk workers were always friendly, as well, including Michelle, who was eager to answer a couple of questions I hadOverall, great staff; easy to find everything I needed or wanted there The room was clean and when we decided to add a roll away to the room towards the end of our stay, it was brought up promptlyGreat place to stay, close to the interstate, restaurants and activities When visiting family in the area in the future, I will go back there
