An awesome experience Totally automatic check in The room was beautiful, roomy and most of all comfortable and clean

The front desk service is first rate Very professional and even followed up with our concerns concerning breakfast when we got homeIf you need an extended visit, you can’t do better for the value than this motel

Ro Lo

I had an excellent experience, Brooke greeted us and was so sweet and helpful, the kitchen staff were also incredible helpful and kind The room was very big and clean, I traveled with my 3 kids and husband and we were very comfortable the only thing I wish they had was another dresser, and more hangers in the closet, and a broom or vacuum but that’s me being picky because I had so much stuff! But it was so great! Thank you for making our trip so great!

This hotel was excellent! I will be checking out this morning after staying for a rough 10 day stay while my mom was at Atrium Health Pineville getting open heart surgery The staff at Homewood Suites made my stay infinitely easier than it would have been as they were so nice, made sure I had everything I needed, and even asked about my mom every day The food was excellent and the hotel was great! I would like to particularly give thanks to Celeste, Tyler, and Vivian for how great they were to me

They were excellent and I highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the area

We booked a King room and it was a very big room but it smelled musty and felt wet We cranked the AC to help and after a while it did but we had to the same thing each day when returning to the room after being out all dayThe shower didn’t drain so we were in standing in water while showering

And we had zero room service We had to go get fresh towels and tpIt was disappointing because we booked the hotel based on the reviews and ratings of othersNow, the location was great and I thought the breakfast offered enough to give you a good start and the attendants kept it stocked And the front staff were nice So, some positives but still the stay fell below our expectations

If I could give a zero rating I would We booked a reservation at this hotel as it was listed as pet friendly at bookingcom

After driving for over 13 hours, we arrived at the hotel exhausted and looking forward to our room Earlier in the day, I received an email that my credit card had been declined Not true as I called right away and the hotel put the room charge through before we arrived When we did arrive, the front desk manager asked me if we had any pets When I said, a cat he gave me a cold stare and said I’m not giving you the reservation because we don’t take cats I thought he was joking at first I told him that I had already paid and had booked the hotel as it was pet friendly He said, “you’re not staying here” quite rudely And we only take dogs” I then asked for a refund and he waved me off, that I would receive it in 3-5 days This is the rudest person I have ever encountered working for a hotel He could have cared less about our situation and that we had to now scramble for another room at a different hotel on a Friday night No suggestion about where I could look When my husband came in and asked to see the manager, he said he was the manager A verbal altercation took place as he continued to be very offensive and he commented that we should not be travelling with a cat Fortunately the service rep at bookingcom found us a room at the Hampton Inn at a higher rate We will never stay at a La Quinta again I still can’t believe how awful the front desk person was

BUYER BEWARE Terrible customer service Stayed there over the weekend for a volleyball tournament in the area

First off, they only had one pack-and-play for parents with small children (which is odd for a hotel) and when I asked for it, they flatly said “it’s broken” Ok…so I made my own accommodations and my baby just had to sleep in the bed with me Then I asked for a late checkout (early in the morning in case the game went over by an hour or so), typical request obviously, and the front desk again flatly said “No” No reason was offered and when I asked why not, they still did not provide a reason Just glares I was being very pleasant so I don’t understand why the staff was being so rude They get paid to be there, especially in a service-type occupation in which you deal with people on a continual basis so if they hate it so bad why not just look for another job I will avoid this hotel and blacklist it from our volleyball tournaments as ‘available hotels in the area to stay at’ in the future Hope this helps

Updated to add – holiday inn keeps apologizing for my comfort being affected This isn’t just comfort, it’s safety I have no idea what the fumes were coming from, only a blurry video my husband took while I was outside with the kids that shows maybe a can of paint thinner? It was something like paint thinner or a stain or varnish

It was certainly something that should have been done without guests in the hotel and with better ventilation I am not exaggerating when I say the smell in the lobby was overwhelming and I could already begin to smell it in our room shortly after they opened whatever caused the fumes I told the staff member at the front desk that I did not think it was safe for anyone including her and she did open the doors to the lobby The fact that HI keeps focusing on “comfort” and not safety is concerning The primary reason we left was for my family’s healthThis is horrible My family (including 2 young kids) was awoken by the sound of a sander Yes, you read that correctly I then toldMy husband that my throat felt funny and my daughter was coughing He said he felt fine so I thought I was being paranoid… until I smelled fumes Sure enough, they are staining or varnishing in the lobby right outside our room The smell is so overwhelming This is dangerous in general but could be life threatening for a baby! This is absolutely absurd

David Waszmer

This hotel is very accommodating and convenient to many stores and restaurants in the area The staff were very accommodating and kind The young lady that checked me in went above and beyond

The renovations to the rooms are great I look forward to returning and seeing the renovations to the first floor The breakfast was set up in the conference, but that did not affect the excellent quality and the service from the friendly attendant

My wife and I stayed here on June 20-21 after a long day at Carowinds & Carolina Harbor We checked in late (10pm) and the front desk staff was very friendly and professional We have stayed here many times before and love the location, staff, accommodations and complimentary hot breakfast

This stay was a little different – however things were handled very well by the staff My wife noticed the tub was not draining fast when taking a shower I went downstairs to the front desk and let the lady know about the problem She originally stated it’ll have to be looked at by maintenance in the morning but also offered to look at it herself (even if it was 10:30 at night!) I agreed to let her look at it and she was very adamant about getting it resolved After some pulling and tugging, she got assistance from another coworker who was able to successfully unclog the drain (LOTS OF HAIR)…and they cleaned the tub out well with disinfectant After they left, the shower drained as it should This was impressive customer service and why we will continue to come to this hotel when visiting Carowinds Great job Comfort Inn At the Park staff!!

The Pink Room

Currently still here but I had to leave a review on Johnathan the receptionist because he was amazing and very informative I hope he is being paid well here He greeted me so nicely and made me feel welcomed which is significant because I’ve visited a few hotels this weekend and none of them were exceptional as he was

Definitely wish I came here to begin with ! Thank you Johnathan keep up the great work

Clean, comfortable hotel overall The configuration of the room with the separate shower and toilet areas was great for multiple people The fan in our room was incredibly loud, even on low, and that made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep

There didn’t seem to be AC in the halls or elevators, making them very uncomfortable The breakfast was decent

I absolutely love this place I stayed two weekends in a row! The first weekend I was extremely upset because I took my children to swim for the weekend and they were unable to do so because some kids bullying my son! Melissa came down personally to make sure my son was okay But MSLILLIE IS OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!!! She comforted my son and make him feel so much better and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed

It was only because of her that we came back for my son’s birthday on 4/16 our stay was way better this time around and we were looking forward to seeing her smile at breakfast! She is absolutely amazing and she definitely saved me as a customer because before her I didn’t want to stay there ever again!!!!! She is definitely and asset to the quality inn brand! We love MsLillie ❤️❤️❤️

Great price for the location to go to Carowinds The pool is alright, not very spacious but it was enough to satisfy the children We got the room with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa, it was the most spacious room we’ve had for that combination in the last few years of taking vacations with the kids

Breakfast has a great variety!

My friend and I rented a log cabin for one night so that we can take our kids to Carowinds for 2 days The resort provided the park tickets along with shuttle service to and from the parks throughout our stay The staff were very helpful and friendly

The shuttle driver was also informative and friendly The cabin was super cute and all 7 of us slept well, 2 adults,1 kid and 4 teenagers We will definitely be returning here next year

Sarah Flatt

Loved our stay! They sell “length of stay” tickets to the park which are perfect! It allowed us to go to go back and forth every day to eat healthier foods and enjoy some down time when it was hot! There is a Tram that takes you from the campground to the entrance of the park and the people that work the desk and drive the Tram are so nice! Especially Mr Steve! He was our family favorite 🙂

Ash C

Love staying here! We are season pass holders but live an hour away Sometimes it’s nice to stay in the rv park because we can break up the day and take more rest breaks The shuttle is very convenient and the drivers are always nice

Sites are big and most are shaded Office staff is always friendly and easy to work with for date or site changes This is one of our favorite campgrounds I wish the laundry and pool stayed open later Haven’t been able to night swim here🥲

We have used this hotel a couple of times for full week large group training We have had to make numerous adjustments during the weeks (aka last minute), and they have been extremely accommodating The catered food options are delicious, and the sales, front desk, and event staff are super attentive and friendly

There is a fabulous balcony next to the meeting rooms (shady but nice and breezy), and the pool deck is also very nice There are tons of places to eat, shopping, and most anything else you might need within walking distance to the hotel, so there’s no need to rent a car for the week We have definitely been pleased

I stayed one night over St Patrick’s Day The hotel is what one would expect for a Hilton Garden Inn They have always been very professionally run in my experience

I enjoy having room on 7th floor as it was nice views The room was very nice It had large shower and large room The bed was very comfortableI liked the bar in the lobby They had good selection of beers including some local brews The prices were very reasonable Parking is convenient to the hotelThe staff was friendly although there was not a ton of interaction as I’ve gotten accustomed to self check in and digital key on the Hilton Honors app I really like just going directly to my room without having to interact with people or wait in any lines

Anthony Lugo

**Beautiful Hotel with Access to Everything **From the lobby to the room this hotel delivered a clean, professional experience I was traveling here for business I was able to check in with access to my room within minutes upon my arrival The front desk staff was very nice understood I was in a hurry for meeting and helped me quickly

Very nice hotel, and I had a good stay The staff was friendly upon checking in and the room was clean Comfortable bed

Peaceful location The only reason I’m rating 4 stars is because the shower drain needs to be unclogged I hate when the water rises up in the tub while taking a shower Drains should be checked periodicallyOverall great hotel, and would stay again

Joshua Williams

The room SMELLED! It was a strong mildew odor I was told that the room would be freshened etc

still after that the room had the same odor The linens did not feel clean Kept feeling like the linens were moist… The pool was out of order The bar/restaurant was never open There are holes in the wall in the hallway on the second floor It sucks because the hotels right across the street were so much better than this one The staff at the front desk are cool, but my stay was horrible and I feel like they just took my money and didn’t care how my stay went Never again!!!

Savage Ltm

Extremely disappointed in our stay, The main reason I booked this hotel over others was due to the indoor pool bar and restaurant on site none of those amenities were open and there was nothing saying otherwise on the website at the time of booking When we arrived the staff seem to not care and offered nothing to make up for the lack of amenities considering that we paid quite the full price for the room The room although appeared clean most surfaces when touching them were sticky

Going forward I would have a hard time booking any Hilton affiliated hotel as this was a most unpleasant stay

Lovely staff, all of them I encountered were professional but still warm and personable Pretty clean Dogs allowed-I could smell dog in the lobby a little but a worthwhile trade to me, but if you’re sensitive to it you will notice

Personally so long as there are no physical remnants I’m happy, and it was nice and clean Sink and shower drains a little slow, happens with older rooms, but the toilets were no problem at all Cozy interiors, AMAZING mattresses Room clean, odor free, thoroughly checked, and the worst I could find was the vacuuming could be a little more careful around corners It’s got to be a top notch resort to get a full 5 from me This was an excellent hotel I will be back, likely often

David Stoller

HiltonI made the mistake of choosing this hotel again after a bad experience before This time of course disappointed yet again I choose that there were 2 adults and a child

Yet all there was in the room was a bed and no pull out or couch even The digital key wouldn’t work and no one would answer the phone just like the previous stay I walk down to the desk and an employee is standing there right beside the phone I get a key and go in the room to find the sleeping issues On top of that the quilt is barely thicker than the sheet with very little warmth to it This was ridiculous I call to ask for a cot, of course they don’t have any He tells me there should be a pull out yet there isn’t He says he will call me back but never does 30 min later I call back to yet again no one answering the phone for 5 minutes I walk down and there he stands I ask about the issues of the cot and he says they haven’t been able to find one yet he is just standing there h another employee just behind the wall He acts like he is trying to find another room for us but isn’t actually doing anything for 15 minutes while I stand there I ask for a bunch of blankets so I can make my daughter a bed on the floor and he hands be 2 cheap rough blankets I ask if there are any comforters or something I can get to lay down and he says that is all he has I am beyond ill and fed up with this hotel and Hilton Honors I need to go to bed and I need rest for tomorrowThen they charge my card again and when I call about it they have a very bad attitude and talk down to me

David Harrington

Asked to leave the restaurant area due to having a service animal

Tried to explain that’s against ADA regs and the clerk asked what the regs say Well if you don’t know maybe you shouldn’t try to enforce an illegal rule Then he said I have an attitude OK even if I do you probably should keep that to yourself since you are in the hospitality businessI attached a photo of some of the regs so maybe the manager and staff will educate themselves Probably not but its worth a shot

This place is OK There is some room for improvement We booked a room for six people

The check in time was 3pm We arrived at around 10pm and the room wasn’t ready I mean two beds for 4 people were ready and pull out sofa wasn’t, there was no extra pillows, clean sheets, blankets available in the closet I called front desk twice to ask for bedding for pull out sofa—no answer I called housekeeping twice- no answer I walked downstairs to the front desk myself and requested missing items They told me that it’s supposed to be in the closet but it wasn’t This place could definitely use better management Breakfast was nice— for that I’m grateful to them The lady that was serving breakfast was friendly and made sure that tables are properly cleaned and entire breakfast area is tidy Even tho it was very busy

and it was for the MOST part There were two roaches that appeared one in the bathroom and one that must have come up through the drain on the little kitchen sink island My room was fairly clean The staff was really niceThe bathroom was REALLY a tight area But other than that everything worked, hallways were clean, and the area where the hotel sits is nice Close to everything I could walk to shopsThis is my honest review

Common areas and room furniture are nice, modern, and clean Staff are really helpful and I appreciated that they were flexible about late checkout Not all amenities were open and the hotel seemed understaffed; beds could be comfier, and the hallways could stand to be updated

The snack area in the lobby was nice, though Overall, not at all a bad place to stay!

When we checked in, we were told the bistro had a complimentary breakfast in the morning Guess that was just a lie? The only options available were $9 breakfast sandwiches that did not look appetizing The hallways of this hotel smell like burnt feet

The shower in the room smelled of mold and was not ventilated at all Overall, the whole place has a musty feeling that is not welcoming The sheets were like construction paper Unlikely that we stay here ever again Beware!

Room was clean and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience We went downstairs for breakfast and had the absolute best time chatting with Ms/Mrs Roshella at the breakfast bar She provided exceptional customer service and made sure we had everything we needed

She definitely deserves a bonus 🤗 I really enjoyed my stay

What a great end to a difficult drive Drove from Florida Got delayed two hours due to a vehicle fire shutting down I-95

Around 1 am I ended up in North Carolina and went to 3 Marriott properties off the exit to try to find a room for the night Two were sold out and one didn’t have anyone working I went on Hilton Com and found the Tru hotel close by I called and David answered He was so nice I asked if there was availability and was happy to hear that there was I immediately went to the hotel and met David in person The hotel was beautiful and clean David was patient, kind and professional It was around 2 am by the time I got to my room The room itself was also beautiful and clean Very modern The next morning there was a great complimentary breakfast with delicious coffee and warm and delicious food Upon checkout, Micah assisted me with my bill and was kind and courteous A great ending to my stay I filled out a survey with Hilton raving about my stay and received an email from the manager (Mae Nelson) thanking me for my kind words So awesome What a great experience I hope I find myself in South Carolina in the near future and hope whoever stays there has the same experience as I did You won’t be disappointed

Cute hotel The decor is fun and vibrant They have a pool table, gym and a few games out back (connect four and checkers or chess not sure which one didn’t see the game pieces

) The breakfast they offer is just enough to fill your belly until your next meal (not too much and not to little options) Love that they have liquid hand soap instead of bar soap for washing your hands They’re close to the highway south/north boundThe only thing we didn’t like was there is no personal microwave in each room, only down in the lobby

Andrea Abel

Love this new Hilton chain!Pros: price, location, friendly staff, breakfast options, toiletry line, simple sleek designsCons: no in-room microwave or coffee machine (both available in lobby), AC has no option to have fan on continuously, housekeepers keep bugging you to clean the room even though check out is listed as 12Would stay again and bring a little desk fan for airflow and white noise

Housekeeping does a very good job In addition the hotel is in an area where there are lots of stores and eateries around Thank you to all staff members for making my stay very enjoyable!

Sleep Inn Matthews-Charlotte customer service was poorMy stay at Matthews, NC Overall Feedback:Highly Disappointed Issues include: 1

Toilet not working Wobbles when seated Runs continuously Requires long hold to clear the bowl 2 Towel ring separated from wall while reaching for a hand towel 3 Window had no locks which compromised room safety 4 TV worked intermittently Froze on a channel remote failed to work 5 Faucet loose during operation 6 AC not adequate for Charlotte humidity 7 Asked to change rooms and was told it was sold out when minutes earlier rooms were available on top floor 8 Room service never came today 7/23 to clear trash or provide fresh towels I took pics I am requesting a partial refund for this terrible experience I could go on and on but you get the point No lounge chairs at the pool so it’s a waste of a trip to the pool Continental breakfast was atrocious Don’t waste your money it’s not worth 5000 a night let alone the 9800 that we paid

Judy Orr

*Room not ready*Entire hallway blocked with shampooing equipment*only a half roll of toilet paper in room&overcharged for pet after indicating the change was for 1 night*Don’t slum here Go to a better neighborhood, newer hotel, better kept location

Dirty parking lot unkempt landscape Poor breakfast options Owners not preferred go to a higher quality corporate owned

Just absolutely blown away with the service I received when checking at here The building was super clean and the staff was over the top friendly He made checking fast and explained all the service they have to offer

My Room was set up and super clean when I got in The indoor pool is clean and the bed is super soft I’m always worried about staying in hotels that are super affordable but hands down this one will always be the one I go to when I’m in town! I legit could not ask for anything more !! Awesome work to the staff and employees that puts the time and effort into making it the way it is!! Wish I could give more stars!!! I look forward to my 4 day stay!!!

Stopped over for a night on our road trip – We arrived a little late at 9pm The check in and check out process was swift and the service rendered by Tazay was amazingThe room & bathroom were super clean

Loved the hot breakfast with sausages, eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, orange juice, yogurt and waffles Lovely staff, very polite Good place for a stop over if driving long distance as it is close to the i85 I would definitely stop over again should I need accommodation in Charlotte!

I absolutely loved the customer service After a 8hr delay missing a flight (missing 🧳) is nice to see someone that smiles and says let’s not stress you anymore, here is a toothbrush and some toothpaste get some rest and let me know what else I can get you The bed was sooo comfortable, the bedroom was very spacious nice size fridge and microwave

Everything was super clean The person at the counter made sure I was aware of the breakfast time and offered to do a wake up call so I wouldn’t miss breakfast (Since I came in at 3 am ) I’m glad I woke up for breakfast they had pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and 🤤 cinnamon rolls Fruits , cereals, bagels and more I’m just sorry I only stayed 1 night The hotel doesn’t offer the airport shuttle but it’s worth extra cost for the taxi (Sorry,I was too tired to take pictures )
