Overall a pretty great ski resort, but a couple of things to keep in mind If you’re renting equipment, get to the resort EARLY, they open an hour before the resort opens, I would say you want to be in line no later than a half hour or so after the resort opens otherwise you will be waiting for hours for rentals Mornings are the best time to ski, people get rude and the place gets crowded in the afternoons

If you’re a beginner and plan to only ski green runs, I would suggest somewhere else There’s really only one green run from the top and only one lift that goes to it, if you ski blues and blacks the backside is a great option You want to be done skiing around 3-4pm, that’s when it starts to get pretty icy Make a reservation for lunch!! I cannot stress this enough When I went it was a really chilly day, and I brought my own lunch, but they did not have anywhere for people to sit inside without a reservation It’s a small resort and they don’t limit occupancy, which they really should given that it’s really not very big The morning skiing is great, so that’s why I gave it 4 stars As long as you keep these tips in mind, you will have a great day of skiing!

Jennifer Lomax

Great local skiing and priced well I haven’t encountered the same ridiculous wait times for rentals as others have mentioned, but perhaps I’ve been lucky My family often takes advantage of the after-3pm lift rates and at that time, the rental lines are tiny

Weekends are very busy so expect longer lines at all the lifts When it is very busy, its nearly impossible to find a seat or table to take a break or eat unless you go around to the front If you want to be near the base of the mountain, it can be difficult to find a spotI highly recommend their lessons In our experience, the instructors have been super friendly, fun, and the kids have a great time! This place is open for most of the season and they do a great job of making and maintaining snow, but like everywhere it gets icy by mid afternoon I highly recommend this place for easy, no hassle day trips

Dayana Borda

I love Liberty Unfortunately, this past Saturday we waited an hour in line just to get the kids’ rental equipment This was our first visit this year

The lines for the lifts weren’t that bad, they did a good job in keep on moving This is a great place for beginners, so if you are just learning or want to learn, this is the perfect place Everyone was nice and helpful specially to beginners I’m giving it 4 starts because they really need to do something about the rental equipment line

Food was a solid 5 star The tavern was nice Staff welcoming

Menu is short and being picky wasn’t easy but ended up trying something new and loved it It is pricey however Figure $50/person at the least We enjoyed the experience, the great food and overall happy They have kids options not listed on the menu Just ask Comes with some really good fries 🙂

Orla Frye

Wow My husband and I had the most wonderful visit at the Inn I can honestly say I’ve not stayed somewhere that the owner has put so much love and care into their business

George was incredibly helpful, friendly and kind from the start We could just have talked with him for hours The Inn is gorgeous and George told us the most interesting facts about the history of the building Our room was just perfect, very clean, comfortable and cozy The breakfast we had in the morning was farm to table, all local produce So much love put into every detail We absolutely will be back Highly recommend You are welcomed like family What a lovely experience

I was the fifth person in a row to check in after driving a long way, waiting for a 1/2 hr + Front desk person was very good under pressure, pleasant from start to finish and kept reassuring me that she had a room We had a great breakfast to begin, but noticed the front desk area seemed to be a hangout

The person who checked us out was not nearly as pleasant as the older woman during check in

Linda Christian

The room was not as clean as I would have expected Infested with tiny black ants Room did not small clean and the carpet felt damp to me

The windows were filthyThe breakfast was not good at all Muffins tasted like perfume Couldnt eat themWe have stayed here in the past and were very pleased Price increased substantially and the quality decreased substantially Will not be making this stop in the future

My husband and I were there on Friday, Sept 10We absolutely do not understand the negative reviews about this place

It is an older hotel but kept up nicelyCheck in staff was extremely friendly, professional and promptOur room was clean, comfortable and the bathroom was spic and span (my personal standard)The reason for a 4 was the breakfast was nice, however could have been refreshed a bit sooner than was Some hot things were quite cool and cold fruit all but gone and tepid Not a huge deal at all Staff members were more than happy to accommodate As nearly everywhere, employees are stretched as they were not fully staffedWe would definitely stay there again and recommend Thanks very much

Brian Wilson

They will cancel your reservation 2 days before because they are overbooked even though I booked a month before GM was rude when I asked why and she said it was an emergency I called Hotels

com and that’s how I found out they overbooked Hotelscom booked me into the Home2 Suites which is way nicer I stayed at the Ramada last year but will never be back especially after staying at this hotel it’s a world of difference

Eva Allen

Outside and lobby looked wonderful Great restaurant nextdoor and all around Pretty nice place other than not any blanket on the bed

Carpet in elevators were dirty and coming apart I expected more from a Ramada Looks like they could spend a little money on elevator carpet So much noise from other guest it was hard to fall asleep

Our house had caught on fire and now we can’t stay there until it is repaired We have none of our stuff Everything is up in the air for us and our family and school starts in less than a week

The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and helpful They were understanding and very caring They even tried to find discounts because of the situation knowing that every dollar helps The girl that checked us in had even gave us names of places that might help with our situation and needs The room was very clean They have Dove soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and things in the shower to use if you don’t have anything to use The breakfast is really good The staff is very friendly She was wonderful and we will go back if we ever need too If you need to stay in the area, this hotel is wonderful I would recommend this to my grandmother if she were still here

Joanne Holmes

If I could give it zero stars I would There were people in the parking lot when I arrived They watched me as I got out of my truck and then when I had checked in I walked out and they were around my truck

I was very uncomfortable and felt threatened I didn’t stay and the manager refused to give me a refund even though I never went inside the hotel I will never stay at another Holiday Inn Express If anyone is planning to stay at this hotel, DON’T!

The pool was over crowded with teenagers and no parents in sight Went in the hot tub for a few minutes but it smelled like a swamp It must have been pool closing time because they turned the hot tub off after we got out and the water was green! It looked fine while the jets were on because all we could see was the bubbles

Would not recommend this place if your planning to use the pool or hot tub

Christan Govich

Hotel was located in a mall parking lot which had stores and restaurants that were walkable Nearby Target was a plus to stock up on necessities The room was large and clean

The bed was comfy and the TV was adequate The room had a mini fridge and microwave which was a nice plus The noise from the nearby highway was loud Rooms facing the back of the hotel were definitely louder, but the sound was noticeable in the front as well They had free breakfast in the AM, but very limited selection Cereal, oatmeal, eggs, some fruit The same every morning

Raymond Wall

Rooms are nice, clean Check in was a little problematic Breakfast was not so good

6-9 but they started cleaning it up at 8:52 Even worse they didn’t stock it so they wouldn’t have as much to clean I’m guessing I got there at 8:20 and there were two yoghurts, only two milks and some low fatThe worst part was the woman ran a cart at me and made me jump out of the way or I would have got run over Never seen such rudeness!Pool and hot tub were out of order a sign said Just saw a review from two months ago that the pool and hot tub were not available and they stated that it’s supposedly been out of order for monthsGo some place else! There’s others right around here!

We stayed here for a weekend trip to see a concert at the Maryland Theatre The hotel is conveniently located to the downtown area and had lots of shops and restaurant options I was impressed by the cleanliness and newness of The lobby, and our rooms

The complimentary breakfast was excellent with options for everyone The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and they were able to quickly add an adjoining room to our suite when we needed more space for our autistic son I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone in town for business or pleasure

Paige Franssen

Stayed for a wedding in the area, rooms were clean and comfortable! Conveniently located with a friendly staff One staff member even gave us some extra cold waters when we returned after a night of dancing After driving 7 hours home I realized I forgot my makeup bag and they had it shipped back to us in just a few days

Only complaint was a bit of a wait for the elevators, I think only one was functioning during our stay

I wish I could put 45 stars To start the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful in the check in process

There was some confusion (on my part, not the hotel) with our reservation The receptionist and another member of the staff helped me right through it and were actually fun to deal with The rooms was clean, comfortable and nicely laid out Pillows were pretty pathetic and the bed comfort was average – maybe a step above The gym looked pretty nice, but I didn’t have the opportunity to use it I also feel the room was a good value in a very convenient location

molly long

This is our go-to hotel My boyfriend drives tractor trailer so we stay at hotels quite frequently Rooms are very clean and comfortable

The complimentary breakfast is wonderful and it’s not just pastries and cereal, they always have eggs and sausage, or bacon in addition to waffles and an array of cereal and pastries Not to mention coffee is available anytime Staff is always eager to help We had a misunderstanding the other day over check in, and the gentleman that came in for second shift went above and beyond to accommodate us I saw a few reviews giving low scores for the smell of marijuana I’ve smelled it faintly in the hallway before, but never in our room FYI: you can’t go anywhere anymore without smelling Marijuana I stayed at the Hyatt last week and I smelled it more there than I ever have here so if you think paying more money will eliminate that, good luck to you, lol

Melissa Johnson

We absolutely love Country Inn & Suites! Every time we’ve stayed in one, we’ve have a good experience They’re friendly and the rooms are always clean Would choose this chain over any other in this price range

Oh and they’re affordable and we always get the size bed that we book (we’ve had a couple where we got 2 queens or a full in two other places when we’ve booked a king, disappointing)

The staff was very welcoming–spoke to a few of the staff members and they were very helpful and made my check-in and check-out very easy for me I stayed in a pet-friendly room that was a little dated but clean and the bed was very comfortable I would give this place 5 stars except for a few minor things- the wallpaper in the room was bubbling or looked like it was coming off in spots, the refrigerator in the room had some grime in it, and this is more of a suggestion–for pet-friendly rooms, maybe don’t have carpeting but like a pergo or something like that (easier to clean and won’t capture odors as much) Either way I very much enjoyed my stay and I will definitely be back!

K Morehead

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in a long time I do understand it was busy, but my room had dirty walls, curtains, and sheets Hair and stain on mattress topper and sheets

Scotch tape used on the wall to hold the seam of the wallpaper downI requested clean sheets, the sheets given were also stained We did not feel comfortable using the bathroom to shower the next dayThe microwave was filthy, the cushions on the seats were soiled It was an unpleasant experience all the way around

Dennis s

When we entered the lobby, we were met by Rachel who greeted us with a big smile She efficiently checked us in literally within a minute Our paperwork was preprinted, she recognized our diamond status and stated that our amenity points were added while we signed our check-in form

Our room was clean, but hasn’t been updated to the latest version, so there was a lack of USB ports and the outlets were worn out We had to play with them to keep our chargers connected Other than that, the breakfast buffet was sparse They only had scrambled eggs and sausage on the hot line No biscuits and gravy, omelets, home fries, etc that other express locations usually serve Overall, it was not a bad place to stay, but not as nice as others we’ve spent the night at

The location was perfect for our purposes getting off and then back on I-81 The entire experience form entering the lobby to smiling, welcoming staff in a clean atmosphere to entering an absolutely immaculate room was enjoyable Check in was a very smooth, quick process

I travel frequently, Hilton Diamond member This property was one of the best I have stayed at in the last 6-8 months Stephanie and Jessica were great at check in and accommodated my very early arrival, plus my late departure

The entire staff was extremely friendly yet professional Exceptionally clean hotel – everywhere – common areas, breakfast, work out room and the room itself Highly recommend this property Thanks for making my stay so enjoyable – why can’t they all be like this ???

Stephen Montgomery

Plenty of parking , nice and quiet for those of us who are breaking up a long road trip (1000+ miles) into multiple days I got in around 11pm , had already checked in on the Hilton app, stopped by the desk for a key and had no issues Still two staff members on duty , very nice

Outside of that , plenty of nearby gas stations and most importantly, a Dunkin Donuts nearby Key to survival on the road
