I booked through hopper This was the worst place I have ever stayed in The flood has not been cleaned and it was dirty, needed to be swept

There was mold in the fridge and dirt in the shower on the wallThankfully the sheets were clean and the bathroom counter looked clean I was so grossed out It says smoke free but it smelled of smoke I kept my stuff shut away in my suitcase and disinfected myself after I left

Stephanie Lohman

Worse place ever Rats, bed bugs, & roaches everywhere Manager is completely incompetent

She begs all the guests to complete fave 5-star reviews The ice machine is full of black mold Maintenance man( a homeless alcoholic felon) is a thief and has a master key to all the rooms Save yourself time and money and stay away All the employees that were nice to work with have been gone for months now The only thing that’s left is trash

What a horrible experience! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I literally got robbed by the Indian manager woman for $11979 She refused to issue a refund without giving me a valid reason

I’m in absolute shock and disbelief! I made a reservation online for a 2 day stay I checked in around 2pm The reservation was for 2 people We were given room 308 Immediately upon entry we noticed that the door looked like someone kicked it in 15 minutes later I received a call from front desk Manager lady informed me we have to move to another room cause room 308 is under maintenance We were moved to room 222 Upon entering the room we noticed that the floor wasn’t properly swept, hair and dust everywhere, room smelled like cigarettes bad, towels weren’t clean, TV didn’t work at all, toilet had weird stains on it, blankets on both beds had holes and stains, paint chipping off on the door When my friend brought it to the manager lady’s attention, she simply told him to leave the premises and that she does not want him staying here because he left a negative review online about his previous stay When I asked for a refund, she simply said no I was shocked I couldn’t believe what was happening Please avoid this place You will not like this establishment It’s ran very poorly The entire building needs repairs, especially stairs and elevator The ice machine has visible mold Avoid this place You won’t get treated fairly You will not be treated like a customer or even a human being Trust me Avoid!

Thumbs up to “General Manager” Rakesh Patel He made sure I had the best service I could ever ask for staying at that hotel He helped make my stay very good while I was there

Plus everything was clean when I checked into my room Patel recommended places to eat, transportation to take, and helped me when I decided to extend my stay His knowledge of the area is impressive An besides my room being clean I had a microwave & mini refrigerator for my use The only problem I had there was the plumbing When I was just taking a whiz it was all good, however when I had to drop more than that the toilet was responding very slow after that You definitely have to wait for the water to settle before you can use it again An it took time, there maintenance needs to increase the water pressure Other than that I liked my stay there

aginggenxer

If you need a room in the area, it is the best option overall for location + priceIt is clean, staff polite and courteous, comfortable and the #1 suggestion I give guests who visit, but require their own spaceIt is not hit or miss They are consistent

Happy Camper

I am not going back to this place I have been here 3 times They don’t change their beddings , they just make beds

First night, I slept on top of the covers, they had yellow stains on the between the sheets On my second visit, the room seemed clean On the third visit, the duvet cover had blood stains or something like itBed sheets were wrinkled indicating they were slept in and there was napkin behind the nightstand Hire a house Keeping manager with 20/20 vision to walk through the rooms Extremely disgusting!

Thank you for an amazing experience! It’s a gorgeous location, makes you feel that you’re in Italy! I wish I lived closer The sangria white and red and peach drinks are amazing, delicious! We will be back many times in the future and my friend is thinking of hosting a fundraising event there in the future Thank you for also donating an amazing tour and experience for my friend’s fundraising event

My husband and I spent a weekend at the bed and breakfast for our anniversary Everything about the stay was amazing We don’t live far from the winery and frequent it often, but we have 3 young children that we’ve never left overnight

This was the perfect “destination” The room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated We stayed in the American Suite The staff was so friendly and accommodating They made us feel like we were vacationing (rather than staying 20 minutes from home!) Prior to checking in our room, we did a Founder’s Room experience Celeste made sure we got the most from our tasting, and helped us choose wine we’d truly enjoy I cannot recommend Lynfred enough We had the best weekend and anniversary thanks to Lynfred

John Lambert

Good wine and cool historic building, but no longer allow kids on premises at all or at any events Used to be a good place for families to visit, but now totally unwelcoming We have tasted at numerous wineries around the country, but that’s the first time we have ever encountered that

Really disappointing We were planning on joining the wine club but didn’t since we wouldn’t be allowed at any events or tastings

This is one of the worst hotel experiences that I have ever had The staff was pretty friendly upon check-in, but it went downhill from there We needed a place to sleep for my son’s wedding

Nothing extravagant because we were so busy Every time we returned to our room it smelled like smoke, very distinct smell that resembled drug use The response from the front desk was, “That’s weird” On the second night, our car was broken into Nothing was stolen, but that was the final straw We decided not to stay the last night of our reservation Since we prepaid, they refused to refund the final night’s stay I would not recommend at all There are much better places to stay that are very helpful, friendly, and sympathetic

Priyal Mangla

10/10 *claps*The lady at the front desk, provided the best customer serviceWe were a family of 4, and we reached the hotel well before the checkin timings as out flight landed at 7The lady guided us to lodge the luggage and wait for sometime

And to our surprise, as soon as the room was ready, she checked us in! We also received a room upgradeThis woman was an angel in disguise I can’t recall her name, but I remember she wore specs had black hair and was youngTheir breakfast menu included everything essential Omelettes, waffles, and breads were super good and deliciousThe place is at a very optimum location- bus service is nearby There is a supermarket and Dunkin at walking distance too

Such a gem! from the old world structure to the beautiful interior

The English Room experience was terrific and the food superb! We sat near the garden and loved looking at the courtyardWe peeked in at the White Hart Pub which will be our next more casual venturereminiscent of an old Irish pub, very dark and cozyWill definitely be back for the brunch experience that so many have raved about

Mathew Jenkins

I live close to the Deer Path Inn so I have no need to use their Hotel, though it is regarded as the nicest place in town which is no secret amongst locals However, their food, drinks, and service are on a completely different level I have eaten there a dozen or so times (in person and take out) and have yet to have anything less than a stellar meal/service

Their basement bar is my favorite place in town since the original Lovell’s closed (which had a similar basement-bar vibe) though the White Hart Pub is nice as well The Hot-A$$ Chicken Sliders and the Burger never disappoint! Also, the ENTIRE staff makes everyone feel important You’ll be greeted with a smile by everyone you interact with The building and grounds are beautiful, clean, and inspiring The only problem can be getting a table but that’s to be expected when you deliver like the DPI does!

Julius Foust

This hidden gem is amazing The ambiance, the service, the great food and drinks, it has easily become one of my new favorites Artemio, a veteran employee, is amazing person, he explained the history of the Deerpath, the menu, the food options and much more, his service was splendid and highly professional

I recommend this place to anyone, regardless if you eat in the English Room or the White Hart Pub, you cannot go wrong Thank you guys, I have a reservation for tomorrow and I am so looking forward to it

Stayed here a few days while visiting the area on business First, let me commend the front desk staff Everyone I spoke to on the phone was so helpful

Then when I arrived, they were very attentive Second, my room was ready, very clean and comfortable Third, the rate was reasonable Fourth, great location in relation to O’Hare airport Hope to stay here the next time I’m in the area

Nicole Perkins

This was one of the worst experience ever I can’t believe how they lied this is not a 4 nothing hotel It’s ants all over the rooms they are not cleaning the rooms like they are supposed to

No microwave in the room The bathroom was still dirty Someone used it didn’t flush the toilet My key didn’t work to my room we tried 3 times before she gave me another key When I told her about the ants she said well it’s ants everywhere I’m sure the purpose of saying that

Great for 1 night maybe 2 nights max If you’re a light sleeper, just bring ear plugs and you’ll be fine (this should just be a standard practice when staying anywhere over night) There is some utility noise (water/plumbing)

Bed was very comfortable and clean Breakfast included cereal, fruits and make your own waffles There was no microwave in our room, just a fridge/freezer combo

Rob Preston

Sleep Inn is known for being basic It has a stand-up shower only, no comfy chair, no microwave, no extra end tables However, it appears to be recently renovated, and everything is clean and up-to-date

Bed was VERY comfortable We stayed for three days, so we really started wishing for a room with furniture besides a swivel chairBreakfast is two waffle makers, cold cereal, yogurt, granola bars, fruit, and packaged muffins No eggs or breakfast meats McDonald’s and Dunkin’ are adjacent to the propertyGo to the Silo for pizza! Our trip was connected to the Naval training base, so for that it was absolutely a perfect location We would recommend the hotel and would likely stay againFYI, the Navy base has a parking garage right beside the graduation hall The Navy discourages parking on base, but it was surprisingly easy to do Just present your tickets, IDs, and vehicle info Just leave a little extra time in case you are chosen for a random vehicle search

Ed Owen

BEWARE OF BED BUGS! I would not recommend staying in this hotel under any circumstances Before my stay, I looked at the hotel’s overall rating of 42 out of 5 stars and decided that would be acceptable

I did not read the individual reviews at that time After my stay, I discovered this hotel has a history of recurring complaints regarding bed bugs The night I spent in Room 222 was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I was bitten by bed bugs throughout the sleepless night I found bed bug eggs in my hair With the history of complaints regarding bed bugs in this hotel, it appears the hotel is doing nothing to eradicate this ongoing problem or doing an extremely poor job of trying to do so

The hotel stay was average The pros were it was very affordable, the bed was comfy, and the room did come with a mini fridge and a microwave There are a few more cons than there are pros

For example, we had to switch rooms three different times because our bathtub was not draining The third room the tub was draining slowly but water did drain There is no housekeeping, we chose extended stay so for four nights, we could not request housekeeping to change our sheets You can request sheets from front desk and change it yourself though The hotel is next to a major highway so you will hear cars coming and going especially at night The female manager is rude, based on others reviews, I can confirm it’s true she is very hostile I only had to see her when we checked out of the hotel We had a decent stay though and for the price I think you get what you paid for Would I come back? Absolutely not

Jon Klesko

Air conditioning was turned off in the hallways Hallway smelt like urine Shower head in the room was broken

Beds are like sleeping on the floor The bowling alley they say they have has not been open in 2 years and in disarray Coffe/tea maker has been broken for a year When confronting the desk about switching rooms because of the smells and broken shower head I was told they didn’t have enough staff to clean the empty rooms so they would not move me Would never recommend this place

Jake Spencer

Honestly was nervous before coming here reading the reviews Nearly every single review mentioned how terrible this place was so I almost cancelled my entire booking because of it Thankfully I didn’t

The hotel is nothing special but my room was cleaned, bed was comfortable, and the hotel bar was a cool place to catch a drink No this is not the Ritz, but if you are looking for a place to sleep shower and recharge this is perfect

Eryk Fairchild

Overall a really great experience! Loved the temp of the room, it was clean, VERY comfy bed, great shower, and the staff was super nice Our son accidentally soaked the whole bathroom and all the towels, they gave us replacements promptly, no fuss Breakfast was fine, they had this really cool pancake machine making minis they my kids loved! My only complaint is a common one for celiacs like me, need more gluten-free options! Will stay here again for sure

good morning, Good hotel, excellent location, very clean and comfortable and very good breakfast

Only the employee Wilma A was not friendly at all, she questioned my arrival time when there was already an arrival note, instead to receive the guest with a smile that is only what is asked of a worker because he not only refuted and I felt like a scolded child I hope that in my next stay there because I am going to return I will not run into that employee because it could be the last time that she uses that hotel but otherwise very good hotel and service

Twila McDonough

Many pot holes in road surface, of hotel property Poor lighting, so that walking from car to front door you have the risk of tripping Towel replacement requested everyday but took 3 days to get towels

Each day multiple people responded that towels would be replaceTub surface was dangerous to stand on Bathroom tub area had well positioned hand rails and a pull down set Tub looked safe However, dry tub surface was very slippery I wondered if they polished it to look good Once tub had been used and it dried overnight I checked by placing a dry foot onto dry tub surface and promptly had foot slid on tub surface Tub unsafe to use, despite railsIce machine did not function on 2 out of 3 floors and yes reporting ice machine problem did not get problems solved Desk clerk said each machine has a note “BROKEN” Neither had a notice that machine did not functionTV remote quit working on day 3 of 6 never fixed despite reporting problem Once I was told that someone would be right up My next call I was told someone HAD been immediately sent to make repairAll of my requests were made after a large group of musicians had checked outThe musicians were the best part of my stay The music they played in the lobby was beautiful and relaxingI will never stay at this hotel again

Debbie Guzman

Big bedroom, with a desk and a couch in it You have a microwave, small fridge, and a coffee maker (but there is a coffee station in the lobby with everything you could need)Everything clean

The shower didn’t drain the water at a similar or faster pace than the one coming from the shower, so you get a little puddle in the bathtubthis is my only complain, but I have to say I didn’t ask for help from the helpdesk or other staff members, since my stay was very shortIncluded breakfast during my stay: 3 different cereals, oatmeal, protein bars, 3 type of muffins (chocolate, vanilla, blueberry), boiled eggs, waffles (you can make big ones or smaller ones), yogurts, fruit cocktail, 2 types of juice (apple and orange), different types of bread, and grape jam The coffee and tea station was availableThe staff is super nice Howard in the front desk was amazing and funny ❤️

She’s been consistently pleasant, and goes the extra mile Everyone has been great Darryl always checks up on us, as does Marco, and Keith is a fantastic general managerThis stay has been a very pleasant surprise because of the very efficient way that it’s runRecommend

The price is affordable for short and long term stays The staff there are very friendly and super helpful Monica is one of the best staff at the hotel

She’s made me and my husband feel more than welcome and comfortable during our 3 week stay The housekeeping doesn’t always keep up with exchanging towels, supplying toilet paper and giving fresh bed sheets but every time Monica was on shift she always checked and made sure that everything was satisfactory and our needs and wants were met Thank you for the wonderful stay

I Also am wondering why this Hotel isn’t rated higher I have been to many, many Motel6 and this is the best one I ran across by far I really think they are rated too low

Fairly nice hotel My wife is a housekeeper, so it was definitely “DIRTY” according to her, but when hotel staff are only given 15 minutes to flip a room, what can you expect Sheets were clean

down to the mattress pad (yes, she checked)There were a LOT of kids at the hotel the weekend we stayed so the pool was overflowing It was quiet at night thoughBreakfast is hot as others have said and plenty to choose from, but the floors are in need of a sweep as others have saidOur floors had been replaced with laminate, so less concern of bugsFor $100 on a Saturday night on St Patrick’s Day WeekendI suppose it was pretty good

Barb Price

Fantastic service, excellent rate A bed so comfortable I don’t want to get out of it Absolutely spotless room

So glad to find this place after dealing with another Choice Hotel that I would NOT recommend–the Comfort Inn on Barrington at Hoffman EstatesEdit: Just had their wonderful breakfast that is included in room rate Waffle station, cold cereal, scrambled eggs, link sausage, fruit, toast, coffee, juice, and more–all done rightAnd the bathtub is fantastic for soaking They have a pool and hot tub here, but I won’t have time to try those

Michelle Howe

Avoid at all costs Yes, it’s in a convenient location, but it is dirty I’m also sensitive to humidity, and it was VERY humid in the lobby and the room

We ran the air for three hours and the room was still too warm The maintenance guy was less than helpful We ended up spending just $25 more per night to stay at a much nicer place 10 minutes away

Looking forward to my future stays here, thank you

Staff was very nice, and space was clean However, upon arrival the toilet wouldn’t flush/ was broken, the air conditioning was malfunctioning (making it hard to sleep at times), several of the outlets didn’t work, and the beds creaked like a haunted house anytime we even barely moved You should know the location is right on the highway (volume was probably a 5 on a 10 pt scale), and the door in your room actually tells you to make sure you engage the deadlock when in the room for you own security (which can come across as a nice reminder, or very creepy)

Not the worst place we’ve ever stayed, but won’t be coming back again #gotwhatwepaidfor

Was greeted politely by reception Room was clean, although the fridge was unplugged when I got there and was producing a foul stench (the socket was loose) The shower was also fluctuating drastically in temperature

One bedskirt was ripped in my room Location is tucked away from the main street and nearby many stores and restaurants Overall a pleasant experience for the value
