Stayed this past weekend and I really enjoyed it Room was very comfortable and property was clean Literally 3 minutes from the terminal at the airport which was so convenient

They don’t have their full breakfast at the moment since they’re still under Covid procedure but they had a lot of options There’s also a Starbucks a few minutes away which was niceI’m a manager at a Choice Hotel myself and it was nice to see that they follow the standards and keep the hotel up very wellGreat hotel for a quick stay near the airport Thanks so much!

Nicole Czmer

They had decent rooms and they also have a breakfast area (plus a bar + restaurant area during the day) We were able to grab some basic breakfast items for our super early flight which was very nice! You have the option to actually park on-site instead of having to shuttle to a separate lot which was convenient They also have shuttles to and from the airport

Would definitely use this park sleep fly option again in the future We booked through parksleepflycom

Lynn Rogers

Free shuttle from/to the airport East/fast check in/out Comfortable bed; even more comfortable than my own

Every staff member I encountered were very friendly and willing to assist Due to COVID regulations still going on, the breakfast was not a full breakfast but more so a smaller version of a continental breakfast I normally don’t eat burgers, so decided to give one a try for dinner on day 1 It was cooked perfectly to the point, I ordered and ate another one for dinner on day 2 There was no charge to print out my boarding pass in the computer room

When we arrived tired at 3:00am the woman working at the hotel was rude She raised her voice at me telling me the card I provided did not go through I informed her I did not know I had to pay in advance and thought I had to pay when I arrived at the hotel

She continued talking to me in a patronizing tone while I stayed calm and collected I asked her for a later check out time and I was even willing to pay a couple hours extra and she refused to give it to us with no explanation It was a stressful experience arriving there tired The lady in the morning was much nicer and very apologetic about the later check out time This is why they get a two star review instead of one star

Absolutely beautiful hotel! Walked in and got blown away Was shocked to find pictures online axtually match the hotel and it wasn’t all staged We met the GM and was greater by amazing hospitality

The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable especially if you enjoy extra firm mattresses The pool and sauna was amazing too! Pool was at a constant warm temperature too We had no issues, no noise complaints, no issues at all Everything was really nice and definitely will be back!

April & Robert

This is a very nice and clean hotel We enjoyed using the pool except when 3 kids were left alone in the pool and the mother was laying in the sauna until I said something to her Other than that we had a pleasant stay

The rooms were nice and clean We loved the jacuzzi tubs The lady at the front was nice and helpful The breakfast was a little bit of a let down though, not too much to choose from

Ben Schnose

We were looking for the perfect hotel to celebrate after our wedding, and after looking at 4 star hotels in the area we were discouraged Then we happened to find the Leo Collection and immediately knew this was the one we wantedThe outside, lobby, and room were all clean and beautiful

You could tell it was recently constructed, though, because of some stickers on the shelving hardware We weren’t a fan of the rainfall shower, partly because of the style but also because it somehow leaked all over the bathroom floorThe in-room jacuzzi definitely made up for it; it was definitely the highlight of the room The TV swiveled out so we could watch from the living room space or the bed The little zen garden was a nice touch tooThe nightstand drawer started to fall apart when we opened it, but we didn’t use it anyway So there were a few small kinks they still need to smooth out, but overall we were extremely satisfied and would love to come again some day

Nice place It’s really cheap if you get the dorm style room The bunk bed rooms are the same cost and quality as a Motel 6 or Days Inn but smaller

Not sure about the single bed rooms Feels very home-like but also feels like a place for travelers It’s about a half hour walk or 5-7 minute drive to downtown It was kind of cold last time I went though, I woke up a bit cold and the hot water in the first floor bathroom didn’t seem to work right

I stayed at Hostel Detroit for three nights in October 2021 Any time I texted or emailed with staff it was always a helpful experience and I felt supported with my questions Being still in coronavirus times, the place was fairly empty so I didn’t see but one other guest while I was there

Someone was playing loud music to make up for the lack of other guests my first night, but I was exhausted and didn’t ask if they’d mind turning it down after quiet hours started I had rented a private room to have a “home base” for my stuff, which was a good decision regardless, though I ended up not needing it for privacy 🙂 shoutouts to Stevie the bike, I put it through miles of Detroit roads I tried eating at several of the places recommended by the hostel and all were great I love hostels and I loved that HD had private rooms for those of us who want the social aspect without necessarily needing a luggage lock when we leave I appreciated this strange time for what it was, but look forward to when I can hear people from around the world talking about their lives again

I would NOT recommend this hotel I am not one to leave reviews unless something is exceptional, good or bad In this case, it definitely wasn’t good

The good: Staff was friendly enough and we were able to cancel our second night stay without any difficultyThe bad: the overall appearance of the place was a general state of disrepair The lobby felt cramped and closed in The drawer handles in our room were all loose and would fall off when pulling the drawers open The toilet seat was loose and the toilet continued to run after an initial flush The toilet cover had to be removed and the water bulb adjusted for it to fill completely after each toilet flush Bath towels were fairly small, but they got the job done The TV wouldn’t work initially but the staff was able to fix this fairly readily There was a sizable sticky spot on the carpeted floor The privacy curtains would not close all the way The room next to us continued to have loud conversations until 1:00 AM; we did mention this to the front desk around 12:15 AM and they assured us they would look into it A random women knocked on our door 8:00 the next morning mistaking our room for hers (I realize this wasn’t the hotels fault, but it did not help our experience at all)Some Country Inn locations may be ok, but I would steer clear of this one, especially for the price they are charging

vlora R. Z.

This hotel isn’t too bad, but there are things I would definitely fix if I was the owner, such as, the shower pressure Being a woman with long hair, it took a very long time to shower Another thing is that the radiator in the room that I was staying at sounded like a car alarm when it kicked on

The TV barely worked (not that I went there for the TV, but it’s a nice amenity when you can’t sleep at night) Other than that, it was fine

Molly Danielle

DO NOT STAY HERE I would give zero stars if I could People were running through the halls after midnight

People were also throwing stuff and screaming and hotel staff does nothing about it The people next to us were so rowdy that it was shaking our walls and floor When we called the front desk they didn’t do anything about it They said sorry about that, and the noise continuedIt also took us calling from the hotel room phone and both of our cell phones to get someone to even answer They kept picking up and putting us on hold indefinitely The fact that the rooms are dingy with broken and scratched up furniture makes so much sense after spending a night staying next to the animals that stay at this hotel Additionally, one of my family members is disabled and when we arrived, they informed us that for our week long planned stay that the elevator would be out of order for the entire length of our stay and that they had nothing on the first floor I feel like in this scenario a courtesy call or email is needed so that you can make other arrangements if you need an elevator On top of all this the rooms are dirty with sticky spills from previous guests on the night stands and desks

Excellent stay Our flight was cancelled by Delta so they comped us this room There was a choice of about 5 hotels to stay from, and I’m so glad we chose this one

Close to the airport, clean, and friendly staff No bells and whistles, but just what you’re looking for in a comfortable nights stay It was a blessing to us after a stressful day of travel Free continental breakfast and shuttle to airport Would highly recommend

Miranda Lumley

We checked in and walked into our room after a long day of travelling and it reeked of weed and cigarettes We went back down to the lobby and asked for a different room and were told that we couldn’t be moved because there were no other rooms available, but that they could come and spray the room with air freshener Though I appreciated the “effort”, this was really gross

When a guest books a non-smoking room, that’s what they expect The carpets and counter tops in the rooms were also very dirty I stay near DTW frequently and I definitely will not stay here again

Elyse Stands

Great location and close to the airport The lobby and breakfast area of the hotel have obviously been updated and are nice but the rooms have NOT Huge water stain on the ceiling, dirty curtains, old and dirty A/C unit, bathroom shower might be clean but it’s hard to tell because the grout is either stained or dirty and same with the floor

On the plus side, the bed is comfortable!

Words could almost not describe the experience that I had while staying at The Cochrane House Luxury Historic Inn Everything was first class, from the time that I walked in the door The house was immaculate, the layout of the house was well thought out and must I mention the art…

thats being showcased? The art gives you a Motown vibe and it lets you know for certain that you are chilling not only in luxury, but in the Motor City The 2 owners (sisters) took the time to give us a complete history of the Inn, which left our entire group motivated and proud to see young women embrace the spirit of what makes our city so GREAT! We will definitely be back

Jessica Moore

Clean, beautiful units, pleasant garden area and common area similar to an English Bed & Breakfast Safe & easy to access parking lot that’s secured Cafe next door for any quick bites or coffee/tea, and community gardens next to cafe

Kind staff Also there are random events like Jurassic Park movie night in Greenhouse with free snacks and drinks – very cute!

Benson May

Lovely experience overall Exactly as pictured, our room was exceptionally clean and well stocked with numerous cute welcome snacks/tea/coffee All-stone shower was a highlight

We stayed in the room with bunk beds and an in-suite bathroom, the space was perfect for two and felt spacious with the separate dining table under the bay windows! Each staff member we met was friendly and excited to share restaurant recommendations and advice about Detroit, and helped make our experience five-star!

Sharla Hunter

Stayed at the El Moore Lodge for New Years Eve 2021 and this hotel is very nice The secure parking was definitely a plus as well as how to access everything upon arrival I stayed in the Moonbeam Cabin and it was exactly like the pictures online

For anyone who stays here in the future they do offer Netflix and Youtube TV The views are spectacular and I would definitely stay here againThe only downside I would say is not being able to access other streaming apps such as Hulu when doing so it asked for a pin, also no phone to be able to call downstairs if needed

This is a nicely updated comfort inn The staff is very friendly and professional I observed the staff doing a great job cleaning common areas

I requested linens for the pull out bed and the staff actually brought them to my room (a rarity at a comfort inn) I’d stay here again happilyA couple of areas of improvement: the exercise equipment was in various states of disrepair Neither treadmill functioned at all The breakfast was very sparse compared to what I have come to expect from comfort inns (I am a platinum member) There was a very strange sign (pictured here) that seemed to indicate that guests were responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the lobby bathroom

Fishlovme Peterson

Carpet very worn out Place is in need of updates! Pool is one of the smallest pools I’ve ever seen in a hotel and the room it’s in gets VERY loud when there’s 20 kids yelling and screaming! Fitness room has two treadmills, an exercise bike, elliptical and a weight set One good thing about the weight room was I could view my kids in the pool through the glass windows

The bed was comfortable, so I got a good night’s sleep Bathroom was nice, though the shower had minimal water pressure The floor we stayed on smelled like marijuauna in the hallway, which was not pleasant Breakfast was very minimal – cereal, oatmeal, overcooked eggs, sausage, coffee and juices Overall it was just OK staying here A place to spend the night on our way to our final destination

This will be my go-to lodging for Little Caesar’s Arena events! Beautiful inn – main floor, hallways, and guest rooms The rooms are spacious and well-appointed The entire mansion has the feel of luxury lodging

The staff is friendly and helpful The location cannot be beat Just one block from LCA Parking (paid) is right out the back door There was no water glass in the room, but this was probably an oversight Communication could have been better, but the overall experience made up for this

Jonathan Fuhrman

Stayed here because it was the closest hotel to Little Caesars Arena for the Dua Lipa concert Not only was it convenient but as somebody who loves antiques and vintage homes, it was over the top fabulous to stay in In addition to the spacious room and bathroom, there are three seating areas on the main floor that guests can use

Just a very lovely place with great staff Highly recommend!

Thais Ziroldo

I had the worst experience with this place and unfortunately the staff was also not accepting of our complaints as other reviews mentioned The room was disgustingly dirty Dirt everywhere, stains on the sheets, ripped towels and comforter, the blinds of the main window which faces the street wouldn’t shut and there was nothing we could do about it, room temperature cannot be adjusted and it was insanely hot in the rooms, etc

the list goes on and on… there was so much dirt everywhere, pills from previous guests on the couch, rose petals on the floor, etc I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I had such a horrible experience that I literally checked out early after not even 24hrs there and checked in somewhere else I have no idea how this place has good reviews or is considered 4 star hotel Literally the worst hotel I’ve ever been in my life

The morning and after noon staff were amazing Polite, professional and very nice! The major problem was the common area’s we’re filthy! It looks like the carpet throughout is the original Even if it gets vacuumed you won’t see a difference

It’s just unkempt I never saw a cleaning crew and I was there except for appointment most of the time I’m comparing this to Comfort Inn’s I’ve stayed at in other states Time to UPDATE

Janice Brown

We stayed here March 5-7 2022 It was very busy Lots of children running around throughout the halls being loud and unsupervised

It see to definitely be a Family oriented hotel It very large similar to a convention centerThe hotel was not very clean inside or outside It was well lit in the parking areas Not a place I’d want to return to

C L

We recently stayed several nights at the hotel and did not have a good experience The toilet in the room didn’t work the second night We had noticed it was sluggish the first evening but thought it was a conservative water toilet

We reported it to the gal at the desk who was rude even though we were not She didn’t provide a plunger or contact a manager Also refused to give us a different room After three conversations my husband and father ran to get a plunger after 9:00 in the evening and fix it themselves When we did check out the following day, we also had to report a tub that would no longer drain after taking a shower Upon leaving, we could tell the room had not been cleaned for some time, evidenced by heavy dust and debris on the floor I actually dusted the dresser as I assume they are still struggling with staffing They did reimburse us for the plunger but nothing more The gal that checked us out was much nicer than the check in girl I would not recommend staying here at all
