The front desk was very nice and the beds were comfortable I have stayed here before but since then this hotel has gone down The hotel is very expensive for the area and service

The walls are extremely dirty and the elevator doors are nasty I could barely eat my food for looking at the walls I have never seen dirty walls like this even at cheaper hotels From the time you get off the elevator it’s nothing but nasty stains on the walls You can tell they do not wipe anything off I was shocked since we are living with Covid and Monkey Pox Before your stay I would advise buying some wipes and cleaning before you touch anything Breakfast was from 6am to 8am How ridiculous!! I went down there at 8:15am looking for coffee and was told I would have to use the pot in the room because the kitchen was closed I asked for sugar because you only get 2 tiny packs She told me I couldn’t get any sugar ask the front desk I’m a travel agent and I will never stay here again nor will I ever have any of my clients stay here Advice for management Take some of the money people are paying for those expensive rooms and invest in some cleaning products

Front desk staff was very nice and personable Room was clean but the carpet or AC smells of mold and dampness it’s over powering The reason we booked this hotel was for the pool which was very similar to the swamps we toured earlier in the day

The water was green and cloudy with green algae covering the walls, steps and ladder There were dozens of large water bugs swimming in the pool and in the corners of the pool there were super cute water bug nurseries with 100’s of little babies I only give 2 stars because the front desk attendant was so nice Otherwise it would be a 1 star Stay else where

Although the hotel seems to be the most updated place, the little dirty town of Abbeville has, don’t let that fool you Housekeeping isn’t even doing the most basic things, such as wiping the spilled and sprayed stuff on the walls right behind the headboards and walls in the most noticeable places The faucet in the bathroom is crusted and spotty, mold buildup around the floor in front of the tub, and what I’m sure is a huge gross booger on the light socket in the bathroom

If cleanliness isn’t your focus and you need to stay in Abbeville, it’s your best option The staff was friendly, and they do offer free breakfast, which was a plus for the three teenage boys playing a baseball tournament Food on these trips gets expensive

What a welcome oasis! Easy check in with welcoming staff, clean and serene room, ample towels and comfortable bed The blackout curtains worked so well I blew right past my usual wake up time! I presumed breakfast would be the usual coffee, danish and dash affair — I was delighted to be wrong! Hot fresh brewed coffee, sausages, eggs and waffles, as well as cereal, yoghurt and fruit optionsSuch friendly staff kept me past my estimated time of departure and I didn’t mind a bit! A~

AVOID

Absolutely bad experience Manager Dean Ambetal refused to cancel my room that was accidentally booked with the choice app Even though I am a Diamond member and stay around 150 nights at Choice hotels every year The app can be tricky and group the hotels next to each other and clicked the wrong one I notified them within the hour and they would not change it I am now switching to Hilton as they are more customer friendly

I stayed at this hotel for a few nights while recovering from a surgery It was super comfortable with a ceiling fan in our room, a microwave and a fridge Renovations were going on outside but it didn’t interfere with our stay whatsoever

The staff were all super kind too! Highly recommend!I had to edit to add there was complimentary breakfast every morning and complimentary supper Mon-Thurs I believe It’s a REALLY great hotel!

To the man who comment about the bedbug people spread those things as they travel The Hampton Inn is not a place that would not take care of a problem like this I read your comment and I thought to myself I’m going to try it anyway because it is the Hampton my room is great

Housekeeping was very polite and my room was bed bug free and amazing As you can see they are replacing carpet and a lot of other things I’m sure because of this issue A lot of places wouldn’t care but Hampton has a reputation to keep their standards high I’m very pleased with breakfast being a different selection everyday and how clean the whole hotel was I will be back and I suggest new customers to come stay It’s the best in town and I have stayed at three different ones

Probably the best hotel experience that we’ve had in quite some time Everyone working at the hotel were courteous and helpful The rooms were really nice and comfy

The dining area was nice and clean My wife especially loved the fruit toppings for her yogurt All of the food that I ate was tasted good One thing I liked was the pet run was right out back Splendid stay

Worth the drive off the interstate to be in a nice safe area We were thrilled to find a higher end area! Everything about the hotel was great but the room (404) had an awful, moist smell The AC pumps out the smell and it reminded us of when you steam clean a room but don’t air it out and it has that wet bacteria smell

The rooms were clean, staff was very nice and overall a great choice especially if you ever accidentally stayed on the north side like we have

Overall great hotel for the price Room and hotel was clean, free basic breakfast, ac worked well, front desk employees were helpfulTook off one star because the cleaning lady entered my room despite the do not disturb sign

They do not know English, said a front desk employee After leaving a written note on my door plate in Spanish this didn’t happen again during my stay I’d suggest the same to anyone who plans to stay here unless you enjoy someone barging into your room

Jannelle Jamison

The staff was professional and very clean lobby My room was not the best A drawer was broken( it kept sliding out) and tub wasn’t cleaned

Housekeeping came and wiped it out, with no gloves on and I heard no water ran to rinse out the product Clean towels had hair attached The bed was comfy but I will pay extra somewhere before I go back there

My first time staying here and we have been to New Iberia several times to visit family I decided to stay here since it was newly remodeled because the other hotels in New Iberia are old and needs remodeling as well The new look is nice and beds are comfortable

They were only doing remodeling on the first floor rooms, so it didn’t impact our stay Our stay was pleasant and the staff members was so friendly Our room was by the elevator and I don’t like to be by the elevator due to noise, but I was surprised it was not noisy The breakfast and coffee was nice as well I definitely will stay again our next time visiting

Michelle Masters

Called to see if we could check in early since we made good timing getting to our destination, I was told no early check in available at that time Checked out the local sites and tried to check in at 3:30pm and was told our room was not ready 2 hours later we finally got into our room

Housekeeping did a rush job on the room as they are short staffed and were behind Upon arrival the lady at the front desk was snippy, rude, and provided the worst customer service I have ever witnessed It seems it wasn’t just a bad day either as her poor attitude continued throughout our whole stayThe hotel is under construction, so you have to walk through demo areas just to get to your room Breakfast is very basic selection and not kept warm properly, and served in a poorly lit room Not a kid friendly hotel as the staff make up rules on just about everything and with the Pool closed there’s nothing for them to do If you are traveling with friends or a group, like we were there is no spots available to sit and visit And don’t even think about asking the lady at the front unless you want a snide, rude comment Apparently you have to be 21 or older to use the weight room according to the rude lady, but no where is that posted and due to her lack of customer service and being informative, this was never shared with us until she decided to yell at my daughter I am so upset I spent my money here Hopefully others will read this review and spend their money elsewhere I know not all Holiday Inn hotels are like this, but this one needs some serious attention

We used to love coming here, but we have a small dog less than 4lbsshe is fully trained and a service animal

Since the new company took over, this company is charging $15000 for a non-refundable fee per pet, Per room That is entirely too much most hotels in Lafayette are 2000 to 5000 refundable at end of stayHowever, if you don’t have a pet,the staff here are super friendly, very professional, they treat everyone like fmlyThe house keepers all love their job, They really clean the rooms extremely good The beds are super comfy The breakfast is really really good The pool is always cleanThe maintenance man is always available and on top of his jobhe is very niceand works greatThis hotel is following all guidelines for covid

Robbie Mason

Very disappointed that this hotel has roaches The ceiling has water damage and spots and the carpet isn’t vacuumed daily The ice buckets were dirty

The couch has stains The appliances were not wiped down, things were sticky My room had one rag and dry towel Breakfast was fine despite the rude attendant who laughed at the people and made jokes about wanting to put the food up early and was standing in the back on her phone She was staring as I was getting breakfast as if she was tired of waiting Sad because when I moved to Louisiana I came here and loved my stay Seems the hotel is going down hill Now I worry about waking up to bugs when I have my daughter with me Can’t spleen in peace with these things going on

wanda

After a bad experience w Hilton (advertised pool) & they were actually redoing pool area for more business space As fast as we got there w a 4 yr old expecting a pool

We left and got out $$ back We found your hotel w a pool and hot tub! Our experience and stay was AMAZING! Even had a very nice breakfast before heading home! Thank you from my family to yours

This is one of the best La Quinta properties that I have stayed in the last 10 years since I have been using the hotel chain The property seems new or recently refurbished Every corner of the property is shining

The staff and manager are extremely hands on and responsive to any issues or concerns Totally worth the tariff And the cherry on top is the excellent breakfast that they offer It is not just a coffee/ juice / cereal breakfast but many more options I hope the staff keeps up their attention to detail and the management supports them

The young lady who helped me on Saturday (2/26/22 around 4pm) afternoon was excellent She was under staff had a lot of check ins The hotel was over book

she had to go n clean room Front desk was busy I feel the morning people didn’t make sure that rooms was ready for afternoon Was given a room and it look like the people decided to stay another night for free Morning workers drop the ball for the afternoon shift N left her alone to deal with the mishaps

KRP

My husband and I traveled from Texas to the La Quinta Inn Broussard We got in around 9:30 pm

When we got to our room, the light was on, the bed was unmade, and there were towels on the bathroom floor When we went back downstairs, the nice lady at the front desk was apologetic and told us she’d call her general manager and have everything rectified as soon as possible They found us a room shortly and up we went While the bed was made and we had fresh towels, the room hadn’t been cleaned It hadn’t been vacuumed, the sink and shower were dirty, and that toilet! There were feces remnants in the bowl and urine down the front of the toilet and under the seat We were tired and didn’t want to do another room change which would likely mean a hotel change because this was the last “clean” room I called the front desk The nice lady who helped us earlier was very apologetic I told her it was unacceptable, and she told me she’d leave a note for her GM When we checked out the next morning, I asked to speak to the GM While she was apologetic and explained they’re short staffed, it was clear she had bigger fish to fry I thought this whole experience deserved a rate reduction Get it together, La Quinta! I’m guessing we aren’t the only people who’ve experienced this issue No paying customer wants to clean the feces and urine of someone they don’t know It was disgusting!PS Thank you to the accommodating lady at the front desk I’m sorry I don’t know your name
