Amazing location, especially if you’re taking the L There are a lot of nearby restaurants and bars – with that comes some late night noise from other patrons on the street The rooms are small but were adequate

This is an old building and has exposed old-fashioned radiators in both the bathroom and room, something to be aware of for kids Friendly desk staff We had a room at the front of the building on the 2nd floor, and there was a lot of street noise from cars and people

Rosa Morales

It’s ok No parking available, so we had to drive about 3 miles down the road and park at a parking garage that is owned by a separate company

Hotel was clean, but very out dated, and it looked like the only thing they had done to update it was add more paint and a few modern paintings and art pieces on the walls The bed was soft but the pillows were pretty firm for down pillows Lots of mirror space in the bathroom but the toilet was in the center of the mirror so made it a little awkward when two people tried to get ready at once The corner room we stayed in was very loud, and we could constantly hear the elevator going up and downOverall, the hotel itself wasn’t terrible, but paying over almost $200 for a single night left us disappointed

Crystal Norrell

We liked the great location where we could walk to most places The bed was fairly comfortable as well It was pretty loud and creaky probably due to the age of the hotel

We were kept up a little late and woken up pretty early by the people above us Really, the worst part for me was the smell As soon as you walk in the door it smells really weird and the room smell was even worse Almost make me gag every time we walked in Luckily I adjusted to it in the room each time we came back in to sleep

Overall it’s wasn’t bad Rooms and bathroom were clean and beds well made Want to give 5 stars but except for Kevin, front desk staff can be more on top of things and better trained

I also appreciated Kevin’s knowledge of getting around Midway Airport Had to pickup my family at airport at 1:00am and preferred not to get lost like in O’Hare

F F

Alyssa checked us in she was super sweet and helpful made us feel welcomed The room was clean and housekeeping even gave us extra towels Maria checked us out she was super busy but she took the time to make us feel important and made sure we had everything we needed before we left to the airport

With customers service like these two ladies gave us we would always choose doubletree

James Milks

This was a last minute choice due to flight delays, but it was enjoyable and conveniently located near Midway airportThe free shuttle was also convenient and appreciated, as it is less than a 10 minute driveRooms were clean and quiet, hotel restaurant was ok but not spectacular

Lots of airline crews checking in, which I considered a good sign

Nice hotel in the cluster of hotels near Chicago Midway Airport The room was nice and was a good rate for the areaThe cafe / Starbucks downstairs is nice

However I had an issue where a member of the staff came into my room in the evening after I checked it They did not knock and used the manual key to enter without my consent I reported this to the staff at the front desk and they said they will investigate However this is still unacceptable behavior for a hotel staff member, so even though I expect this to be an outlier I want to warn anyone else considering this hotel

Nova Talukder

This hotel is good for a one night stay but nothing more The day we checked in, the hotel maintenance had done a deep cleaning of all the carpets in the rooms but we didn’t know that and walked into soaking wet carpet and obviously it’s not a good feeling to be walking on that We told the front desk and later a guy came with a fan to dry it but of course that was no help at all

Breakfast was good at the bistro If you need the airport shuttle, make sure you stand outside or else they’ll leave without even stopping and you’ll end up waiting longer than 20 minutes as it comes every 20 minutes The first time the shuttle completely passed the hotel without stopping so we waited an extra 20 minutes (40 minutes total) so be prepared for that So like I said, it’s only good for a one night stay

Chauncey Williamson

My stay was wonderful because most of the time was spent with family but because of sleeping arrangements I had to sleep on the couch and I tossed and turned all night so I didn’t get to sleep well like I normally do In spite of that the Hotel was great! The nice flavored water in the lobby quenched my thirst every time although I didn’t get a chance to go swimming I bet the pool was super awesome as well and I’d definitely stay there again but next time I get the bed 🤣☺️

It all honesty a 25 stars is needed The hotel’s location is great and the general size of the room was fine

I appreciate them taking care to remove the feathered pillows and covers The staff for breakfast were pleasant However, the cleanliness was a little less than in our room and the furniture/tub are definitely dated entities And the temperature control was horrible There is no reason it should still be uncomfortably hot and the thermostat was set on 60 It was so hard to sleep or to stay in the room

Dr. Lisa

The location of this hotel is great! Very clean and modern Customer service is fantastic Solid breakfast, but no alternative food options such as soy/almond milk or gluten-free bread

Elevators can be a bit slow They really need 4 of them for the size of this hotel We choice valet parking with the hotel There are other options You can do the same and walk everywhere you need to go unless you are venturing out to the suburbs Even then, you can ride the train Dinner is not served at this location You are in the heart of downtown Chicago; close to Michigan Avenue, it is not needed Enjoy!

Eric Steck

Our stay was most pleasant I refuse to stay in any other hotel besides a Hilton Hotel I was in an Embassy Suites in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and ever since then, have been an avid proponent of Hilton brand hotels

The room was clean (had a bleach smell when I walked in, which I truly love), spacious bedroom and living room (I thought the bed was a California King), and I would be remiss to forget that it had a kitchen! This was totally unexpected to me, and so nice to have Even had a dishwasher…needless to say, this hotel room, in combination of the view, is one I will be *sure* to return to if the need arises The staff was awesome as well, in a world where a good staff is hard to find THANK YOU for our wonderful stay!

Boyfriend and I had come here back in October and we just visited again last night We will be back! It’s quiet, comfortable and peaceful I feel at home but that bed and linens?? Ugh! It’s like sleeping on a cloud! The different masterpieces on the back walls of each room take it up a notch on individuality for sure

Full sized fridge is great and the bathroom is just right Blackout curtains are a great touch as well even though we didn’t need them Can’t wait for our next visit!

Jason Wentz

Not a bad hotel for the price, compared to other downtown hotels in the city The location is perfect if you are going to events at United Center, because it is within walking distance We stayed here the night of the Rage Against The Machine concert and was very pleased with the location

Only problems we had was that we reserved a double room and got stuck with a single Fortunately, we always plan ahead and had brought air mattresses just in case, but still had to run to Costco and purchase a pump and some extra sheets The employees are great though They sort of push the valet parking on you, even if you’ve already paid for parking prior, but it’s worth it The valet attendant is very helpful and does not hesitate to retrieve your car when you need it, even if he just finished parking it And he acts as a doorman as well, which is helpful when your hands are full and trying to find a room key to get in to the building Not to mention the fact that your vehicle will be safer in the lot where the hotel staff are closely monitoring it

Lilly c:

The staff was friendly but when we walked into our room it was not clean As a housekeeper myself I notice everything and the first thing I saw was cheese on the counter at first no big deal but then there was shredded cheese on the floor by the fridge, door, bed It had looked like it was stepped on a few times

It makes me wonder if all the did was skim the room and made the bed It was absolutely disgusting and when bringing it up to staff they asked us if we would like them to come back in We said yes because we were going to a concert and no one wants to sleep in the thought of a dirty room We came back 2 and half hours later and nothing was done Cheese was still on the floor and in the same spot We also paid 260$ for this room to have it look the way it did Not to sound like a big “Karen” but we also paid to have a clean/nice experience I took pictures as well of the room and cheese because this is an experience no one wants to have

Would give 0 stars if possible Made a reservation 2 weeks before reservation date Called and spoke to manager here to make sure they had a pool and open availability for use of said pool

Was told pool only closed on Mondays for cleaning which is understandable Our reservation was for Wednesday at 3pm Tried checking in at 330 and spoke to Jennifer at front desk Not only was she rude, but a bit snobby Told us as we were checking in ” oh we have a private event so pool is closed, will only be open from 830 to 10 pm” We reserved at this location which is over an hour away specifically for the pool as it was for my three year old son’s birthday, and all he wanted for his Birthday was to go swimming So obviously My wife and I were upset, we even asked why this was the case as we called two weeks beforehand and confirmed pool usage and times and Jennifer rudely said well we changed our policy No apologies, no commitment to service Thank goodness we reserved through Bookingcom and William the supervisor we spoke to was kind enough to help us cancel the reservation as well as find us a replacement reservation on short notice Would never recommend this location to anyone, and do not be fooled by false and obviously fake reviews for this location This is NOT a 4 star hotel and if you are staying here good luck and hope you are not expecting the amenities promised at the time of your booking

Lynn “Sunshine” Carter

It’s part of a group of hotels near the airport It would be great if the free shuttle was a scheduled ride for really early morning flights Overall I would stay again because the room was good for what I needed overnight

Front desk staff was really great and helpful Checked in online so not too much hassle to get keys to room When you get on elevator, hold key over sensor while pushing floor button

Customer Service, our first impression was the parking attendant Very helpful and friendly Asked for good deep dish pizza and he nailed it! We told him after he ruined us for regular pizza

Second, front desk attendant the next day would not stop trying until he got me through to the Cubs to fix an issue with my tickers Rooms are clean and big Yes they are dated, but one of the biggest pluses was the shower head was high!!! Too many hotels have shower heads at a 5 foot height which is difficult for taller people Location of hotel was great for exploring downtown Chicago! Would definitely come back and stay there again!!!!!!

Mary Ramirez

I really like this hotel All the staff was super friendly, parking guy, room service and receptionist Rooms are very spacious, the bathroom was ok, the view was beautiful

The elevator was kind a confusing at first but we get it Everything was clean We really enjoy the pool and that sun deck was awesome The only thing was the parking fee it was ridiculous and nobody told us until we got there, on top of that for the amount that they charge it was really small and disorganized Other than that we love it the location is perfect I really recommend

Evan Wonderlich

We arrived a little early and were able to check in right away This location is great! You can walk to all the great food places and Michigan Ave! So many attractions that are so close The parking rate and hotel rate are cheaper for the area

Hotel room was okay nothing amazing and pretty small, but it was nice inside I ran into a small issue and the front desk manager was quick to fix my issue and was very responsive I would stay here again!

Service was great but it is an older hotel The rooms had a weird smell and the towel I used had a slight cigarette smell The bed was clean

There is a shuttle that goes to Midway which is why we stayed here The shuttle is convenient but keep in mind the front desk needs you present in order to call it The shuttle can be available every 20 minutes It’s a pretty large shuttle that is shared with other hotels so there’s plenty of space but there could be many people as well We were flying with 10 pieces of luggage and everything fit

tristan brown

The location is great and overall the hotel was clean and in good order The beds are a little small but for 2 people (1 per bed) it is not that bad Was here for 2 nights

I was very disappointed when it comes to having the rooms refreshed I don’t think they even came into the room They didn’t make the beds or put new towels, water cups, or take out the trash I think it’s time to start changing rooms every night or checking out and checking back into a different room They can do a 20 min clean or a full clean every day Had asked for new towels and asked for 2 more bed pillows I was able to get the towels The staff was supposed to come and give me the pillows but never showed up or even called to let me know anythingBreakfast was very disappointing we had peanut butter and jam but no bread or Bagels There were no waffles It was simply cereal and a sausage biscuit

Debra Westbrook

Nice hotel for a weekend visit and the location was excellent Typical hotel issues not enough towels and our fridge was not cold would not stay cold even after it was repaired

Shout out to Suzette doing breakfast she was amazing and very helpful in telling us about different things around the city Shout out to the manager that allowed us an early check-in and a late check out which worked excellent with our travel plans overall service was amazing

Checked in on the second due to flight cancellations, needless to say I felt right at home Came down to the smell of bacon, ordered the French toast and let me tell you it was delicious I had it the next morning! Brice did a great job everything on the menu looked great Server was nice very attentive which was awesome I believe Vanessa is her name

Rooms where clean and comfy front desk where pleasant Definitely recommend

Jonea Charles

I read a review that said parking was $17, when I got to the hotel parking was actually $18 + tax which ended up being $24/nightThe room was big, clean and comfortable, no complaints thereBreakfast and lunch cost, there is no complimentary breakfast, even the things you’d think were complementary was like $6, for a bagel it was $6

But I paid for a freshly cooked breakfast and it was not good The bacon was way too salty, the cheddar cheese for the eggs was nasty, potatoes were a little over cookedIf you think parking for the hotel is ridiculous just don’t go to Chicago, EVERYWHERE WE WENT WE HAD TO PAY FOR PARKING, I’ll never go to Chicago again

Bill Johnson

Check in process was great and I was recognized as a Diamond member No mention of a room upgradeRoom was nice and clean

Very modern with plenty of plugs and USB ports Room had a Keurig coffee maker Bathroom had regulal size towels Shower water pressure was weak Used shuttle to the airport Plan for 30 minutes as they stop at all of the hotels in the plaza Overall experience was excellent

Lovely hostel experience! Check in was simple and accommodating Clean and tidy room Great outdoor sitting space out back

If you get there early enough, they have parking available- which I definitely recommend splurging to get if you bring a car To park on the street, I noticed you needed to have a permit The breakfast in the morning was simple yet good too

E C

Absolutely fantastic place We traveled from Tampa, FL to Chicago and needed a late check-in since our flight got in at 11:55pm They were more than accommodating and friendly about the situation

No issues at check-in, super easy process We stayed in a private quad room It had a large shower and bathroom included in our room There was a sink, desk with lamp, and closet There were plenty of outlets to charge our phones We always travel with travel pillows and extra blankets The pillows were nice but I would suggest bringing your own blanket if you can Our room was cold, which I prefer, but it was cold (mid-May) I felt safe and it was actually very quiet I would suggest bringing $1 bills and quarters for the vending machines We don’t typically eat breakfast but there were bananas that we snagged Would definitely stay here again It was perfect for what we needed as we were out and about in Chicago all day

Alana Aly

Check in was super easy!! shout out to Scott at the front desk- thank you homie! The shared kitchen/entertainment space is pretty dope, met a couple of really cool people! Each room is a private room, super clean and weirdly smells good! The shared bathrooms were clean, plenty of space, and not overly used so you mostly get privacy! The location is awesome!!!!!! A few minute walk to several bus stops, and in a nice area too! They even have luggage storage so you can roam around the city after check out! The front desk is open 24/7 and their super helpful!! 100% will come here again and already recommending it to my fellow travelers!

Great hotel, clean, friendly, and helpful staff Excellent location for several sightseeing activities Close to a water taxi to go to the Navy Pier

Excellent breakfast buffet, but don’t wait until 30 minutes before it closes Mass amount of folks come down at that time We came an hour in and it was easier to find a seat Lines weren’t as long We had several hours before our train departed and they secured our bags until we were ready Overall, great place to stay at a reasonable cost that’s close to several tourist destinations Definitely would stay here again

Alberto López

On our first day, a little mouse greeted us in the breakfast room!! But believe me, that wasn’t the worst part Since windows can’t be opened in the building, apparently they are requested by law to keep vents pumping air into the rooms, and they can’t be turned off, not even during the night This made us absolutely miserable: the vent in our room is noisy, and it pumps VERY cold air and creates an current at the height of the head and upper chest in the beds (which can’t be moved, by the way)

We had to request blankets and sleep covering our heads with them Since we had to compensate increasing the thermostat setting, we were roasting inside the blankets, but if we exposed our heads we would freeze Two of us ended up with a cold (always a funny experience during a pandemic) I have slept in cheap motels and youth hostels with shared rooms and never had an experience as awful as this one Other highlights from this “wonderful” place: breakfast was really bad (the patties were hard, almost inedible) Also, they are stingy with the bath gels and lotions, they left one small tube of each for 3 people in the room and looked bad at us when we requested more This hotel is a shame, ridiculously expensive and seedy for what they give

Bonniejean Alford (The Identity Guru)

Everything was great except in the rooms the toilet has a lip around it which digs into the back and there’s a distinguishable separation between the carpeting and the linoleum which, if you’re not paying attention and step on it, hurts your foot The staff was absolutely amazing and accommodated any needs we had, even bringing a different seat into the meeting room so I could be comfortableHowever, breakfast was not great nor was the woman serving the eggs who any eggs who barely gave any food and didn’t want to assist somebody who clearly had mobility issues and couldn’t just wait in line again

Another staffer made up for it by getting me some additional juice do I didn’t have to walk across the room again

Truck driver friendly We were able to Bob tail here and park Breakfast is delicious

Hot foods include sausage patties, fried eggs, potatoes, hot and cold cereals, bagels, donuts, yogurt and make your own waffles For 6 floors it’s very quiet You get 3 king size bath towels along with hand towels and wash cloths Kevin at the front desk is full of information and very helpful! You’re surrounded by restaurants (Texas rd House) I highly recommend it!

Samir Atiya

The room was fairly large and the bed/bedding was comfortable but the fourniture was dated Everything from the entrance to the room was clean (surprisingly more and more of a rarity in hotels nowadays) The staff was friendly and they do offer breakfast (didn’t try it)

My main concern is regarding the price which I think it’s a bit high for the quality of hotel I’d give it 35 if I could

Jay Michelle

Front desk ‘Andrew’ was super nice and understanding! Great hot breakfast and comfy beds with no bed bugs Had to change rooms soon after due to ants all over the table near air conditioner

A few of them accompanied us to Navy Pier Ewwww Once we switched rooms all was fine and dandy until we turned on the AC which sounded like an old broken-down air compressorI chose to stay cool with no sleep rather than sweat Believe it or not I would stay again Manager ‘Josh’ is supposed to chat with me especially since I spent almost $400 We’ll see 🤔

I really liked the room environment quiet and peaceful with clean sheets but old towels were in the closet place just laying dirty Also, while completing my assignment for school Staff member cut the WI-FI off while submitting my work could not believe it Thanks for having good Professor at my University I did not get 10 % deduction for failing to submit my work on time

I am not picky and usually very easy to please, all I need is clean sheets and a quiet night I wouldn’t even complain about the whiff of marijuana I caught around the premisesBut when the neighbors next door wake me and my entire family up at 2am, (including 14yo daughter), by banging (on) the bed against the wall, this is where I draw the line for acceptable accomodations

Clean hotel, good breakfast We ended up needing a room overnight for an unexpected flight delay so we didn’t really check out any other amenities The shower had the best water pressure I’ve had in a hotel in a while

When we checked in the lady didn’t seem super enthused to be there, but it was late The guy at checkout was super friendly Overall it was a nice hotel

My family was stranded by a cancelled flight out of midway around 1am the morning of august 11th with 2 little kids the moment I called the front desk clerk(wish I could remember her name) she was more than accommodating, friendly, and helpful When we got there she had already had new sheets on a pack and play for our son

She offered toothbrushes and necessities since we didn’t have our bags with us She made our bad night much better The front desk lady in the morning was just as great and helpful with everything as well along with very friendly The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was decent as well with that lady being very helpful and friendly as well Would recommend this hotel simply due to the customer service received

Do yourself a favor by saving yourself a headache and night of sleep Don’t stay here The traffic is so loud (even on a Sunday night at midnight)

The beds are not queen beds Our shower drain didn’t drain well so the tub filled up as you were showering The door to the bathroom was so heavy, good luck closing it or opening it The attached restaurant has excellent food but was so slow And prepare to pay $20 a night for parking…yes this is just a standard holiday inn with a normal parking lot

Lucy, from the front desk is fabulous I cannot say enough about her kindness, her attention to detail and her genuine concern for creating a pleasant experience for guests She truly went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of after a canceled flight and a long day of travel

I spend about half the year in hotels and Lucy truly stood out by providing next level customer service Thank you!

Pretty nice place to stay, clean rooms, friendly staff, showers with water pressure, comfortable beds, I really have no complaints about this placeSome reviews have mentioned problems with sounds from the trainyard but they didn’t bother me at all in my room It was also really nice going walks on the sidewalk paths as opposed to the usual hotel experience of pure parking lot and nothing else

The hotel was nice, clean and has a well lit parking area As a female traveling alone, that is very important There were restaurants nearby that were open late

The staff were friendly and I love the digital check in and out The bed was comfortable The room was really nice and modernized If I had to pick one “bad” thing, this location does not give out free water to Hilton Honors members like several of the other Hampton hotels But overall, a very nice stay Would recommend and I plan to come back

Accept for few miniature things, we had an amazing stay The majority of staff was so welcoming, paying attention to our needs

our room was in excellent condition Breakfast was absolutely amazing and showed they really cared Hotel was in great condition overall and it was quite place and secluded for a perfect privacy They did not have a jacuzzi in the pool area which was a bummer but we still really enjoyed it

I’m really not sure how to rate this hotel The room was very small and the beds were not easily accessible to the top bunk The TV was hard to see bc of the bed poles

The one night worker, Joe was not very helpful at first, but got better, I guess Sherry however, was AMAZING There were ants all over our room when we got back Saturday afternoon They had no spray When we used a wash cloth to try to wipe up the ants the wash cloth was filthy dirty like it hadn’t been mopped before we were there We had no garbage bags in the garbages Finally after telling them the ants were in the beds and one bit my mom Sherry went and bought ant spray and found an out of order room for us to use for the night It was even smaller than the other one And obviously didn’t have everything since it was out of order, but I’m thankful she tried She took off half of each nights stay for the issues we experienced The pool is an bad accident waiting to happen The water doesn’t drain around the pool and there are puddles Kids were falling and getting hurt I reported it and they said they knew that it drains slowly and they have someone that will be working on it or is working on it The food was okay, but things were not refilled for the morning I was there right when it opened and I had to ask for them to refill the sugars For a Hilton I expected better
