Great place to stay I learned the hard way that you should never book a room in a place for less than $100 a night in big cities We had just left the worst hotel and came here for our last night and it was MILES higher quality for their cheapest rooms

It was safe, they have a garage (though it cost 10 bucks, but after our previous experience elsewhere, it was worth it), the continental breakfast was good, the room was spotless and updated The bed was comfortable, the sound proofing was greatMy only complaint was the hallway smelled like BO for some reason, but the room was fresh and smelled good Will definitely visit again if I’m in the area

Nice and close to the airport Staff was friendly and I thought they were the bright spot

Fast type food nearby Panda Express , El Pollo Loco, 7 elevenThe hotel was fairly clean in the hallway and rooms Caulking and things in the bathroom were dirty and rough looking Elevator was pretty rough lookiAll hotels in this price range of $150 per night in the LA area seem to be quite run down and far from what mid range hotels used to be

Shalynn Morgan

Complained of noise 5 times until 2 am Manager compensated with $70

until I wrote a poor review on a survey Best Western sent me days after leaving about the noise,, filth, and dismissive staff He then posted a charge to credit card for the $70 I thought it was compensation, not hush money A bad hotel that doesn’t even want to hear about their issues, let alone fix them

This hotel was beautiful!! The decor was high end, the rooms were very nice Even the restaurant in the lobby had high end options The front desk staff and valet staff were helpful as well

The only problem was the shuttle They said it runs every 25-30 minutes, with multiple shuttles running at the same time We waited 40 minutes for our shuttle Just keep this in mind if you’re scheduling a trip to the airport and have to arrive at a certain time! Plan extra time!

the Figaro Effect

Overall great experienceRooms were clean (except carpets were very stained though)The beds were comfortable however, the pillows were far too soft

There was the thinnest comforter I have EVER seen on the bedNeedless to say, I had to put the heat on to stay warmThe food at the Hotel restaurant, (I think it was called 12 Lounge or something to that effect) was deliciousWould definitely venture for another stay

Asmita Sharma

My room was super clean and very neat Whenever I ordered room service, the guys came up as soon as they could, in minutes When I ordered food, the food always arrived in less than 10 minutes – it was always fresh cooked and tasted amazing

They had a great swimming pool and a nice fitness centre The lobby was so nice – I could literally just sit there for hours One of the reasons I want to come back to LA, is so I could get to stay in this hotel again!

I would recommend this hotel as a bed only It’s not in the best part of town It’s on a major street so be aware to request to be on the backside of the hotel

We stayed on the street side and it does get noise with car noises and sirens through the nightIt bothered me but not the spouse or kidsOur room was huge! Free parking We didn’t attend breakfastYou get what you pay for Would I stay here again yes Would it be on the top of my list noRoom was clean It had everything you needed Great shower No issues with pressure of the water or temperatureStay with confidence

Riya Neele

I would not recommend this hotel for tourists The hotel is not located in a safe neighbourhood We would hear police constantly in the area and in the parking lot of the hotel

We did not feel safe We had many issues with the hotel We first got there and the room smelled like smoke We switched rooms and the phone was not working in the second room We were unable to contact the front desk and no one came and fixed it Bathroom had ants on the counter, walls, and floor Overall, not worth it

DeWitt Senter

Pros: Very plush towels, good shower head, comfortable bed, spacious room Cons: lots of traffic noise especially motorcycles all night long, could clearly hear the TV or media through the single door separating us from the room next door Stuffed a towel at the bottom of the door but the sound continued to leak around the rest of the door

Won’t stay here again

I only stayed for 10 hours (Omaha->LA->Omaha business quicky), but I enjoyed every minute of my stay My room was clean, modern, spacious, and comfortable Thai delivery was nearby and available at 1:30 AM, as were breakfast pastries

You get a breakfast “swag bag” in the morning which has a decent burrito with a few sides thrown in I didn’t have time to swim, but the pool looked great Will definitely return, hopefully for a longer stay

Player Panda

The lady at the front desk was not nice when we checked out But when we were checking in the guy there was very nice The lady who was cleaning was also nice

It is a non smoking hotel, but we woke up to a strong smell of weed I like the parking garage, it was weird but it made me feel safe It was ok, probably the safest hotel It was also the cheapest in the area If you don’t mind maybe smelling some weed I recommend

My stay was great I haven’t been to the Sheraton Gateway since 2008 and I love all the upgrades they did I was in town to give my father a proper burial, he passed away a few weeks ago

The bed was very comfy, no complaints at all Hot water was available no matter what time I showered I requested housekeeping service daily and they came, cleaned my room and delivered fresh towels daily This hotel is very convenient to the airport whether you drive or not, shuttle to and from the airport, valet parking or self parking available as well I will be coming back to LA next year and will be staying here again:)

শরিফ রাজ

Overall, this was a comfortable place to stay I would avoid taking the shuttle provided as you are packed like sardines on a small bus There is a sign that says no standing as you enter the bus but the driver crammed as many people and luggage in as he could so some people stood the entire ride to the hotel (see picture)

This was a last minute stay due to a flight cancellation so that could be the reason Once I got off the shuttle, the woman at the front desk was very accommodating I had an issue with the room key not working but she was able to quickly resolve The room was spacious and it had a coffee maker which was great! There was also complimentary water provided There was an issue with the shower head that was not able to be fixed so I ended up just taking a bath instead Besides the shuttle, everything else was pretty good and the staff was accommodating

MiMi Nicole

My husband stayed here for two nights and truly enjoyed our accommodations The facility looked newly renovated, the rooms were extremely spacious, and even though we were very close to the airport, the room was very well insulated from sound There wasn’t much to walk to around the area, especially at night, but it was very central to a high-traffic area of hotels, and delivery services were always very speedy

Also, I left some very important items in the safe in the room, so I wanted to take a moment to thank Ashlyn O from housekeeping for being honest and turning them in It is nice to know that there are honest people still out there

My Husband and I enjoyed our stay tremendously!! We had a rough travel day and when we arrived we were greeted by Brandon and he immediately made us smile He was so courteous and helpful😊Lafaye greeted us in the mornings and she was also very kind, professional and helpful

Emma, checked us out and she was also very professional, kind and sweet The house keeping was great and the room was peaceful and quiet every night We will definitely be staying here again Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

This is kind of unfair, we’re visiting from Las Vegas/Nevada and the only thing I can really compare to is world class hotelsPros:Nice looks, setup close to the airport (we were in town on business AT the airport, that was awesome), food in the morning with, interior design looks nice There was a painting class in the lobby “sip n paint” people ordered drinks at their bar

The atmosphere was pleasant Hotel staff were friendly All in all, I really only had 2 issues with the place, and 1 desire missedCons:1 Price point(s), if you book the same price for 200$ in Vegas; you can either expect a mini penthouse or comps for shows/foods, 200 for just the room/no pool, that’s excessive Price point also means 26$ to park my own car is a little crazy Valet services are free where I come from, they make great tips Parking on the street side is literally free, 26$ is excessive Price point also means not charging 10$ for a beer in the lobby “convenience” store, that’s excessive2 Paper thin walls; listening to every guest entering and exiting, ambulances, fire trucks; definitely woke us more then once It wasn’t usually doors slamming, it was the locking mechanisms and handles At 2am nobody wants to hear shotguns rack, you know? (“Clack-clack”) metal on metalDesire missed; we’re here as a family not much to do as a family No pool, exercise room isn’t exactly fun for a kid, paint n sip class (kids shouldn’t be surrounded by alcohol in the lobby/bar lobby… I wouldn’t call that kid friendly but not a con for an adult), try and make them feel welcome go to the 99Cent store, grab some coloring books and cheap washable markers/offer it to them There just really wasn’t anything available to entertain a kid

Steve

First time at this property, second time staying at the AC brand of hotels If you have an early flight out of LAX, this place is perfect as it’s only one mile from the airportThe hotel feels really new and is in very good shape

The rooftop bar was perfect for a late night drink and bite to eat Super friendly and helpful staff Room was clean and comfortable

It was just OK The rooms were clean and I had a good night sleep It is just those little things that could have been just a little better

Friendlier greeting Nice staff, but I personally like a warm smileI was on a floor where the “insides” of the ice machine were exposed and buzzing very loud Not a good presentation as one is headed to the room Did not give me a good first impressionThey have a coffee bar and a restaurant, but they do not offer free coffee in the lobby Not a deal breaker I am just used to getting coffee in the morning from the lobbyWould I stay here again Yes Would it be my first choice, maybe notAgain, this is not a bad review Just a You could do things a little better note

E C

Hotel is very nice great location close to freeways, despite being close to freeways no outside noise, was put in a room close to the elevator, when ac was off we could here the elevator bell when landing on our floor, and we could here the toilet flush from the next room room has a beautiful layout where no space is waisted and it doesn’t feel cramped for a family of 4 Booked a room with a sofa bed but, no sofa bed in a room just a very comfortable small couch Pool area is seems not maintained, plants over growing no towels, chips on chairs

Ice machine wasn’t working on our floor but every other floor seem functional over all great stay and nice view out the window 👌

Hotel is absolutely stunning both inside and out The coffee shop definitely had to be my favorite of everything, and everyone was so friendly and helpful Wendy at front desk helped me a ton with my stay, from reserving my room to making sure i received everything I needed

She was an absolute charm to speak and work with, and the hotel is very lucky to have her Thank you for making my stay here a memorable one, Wendy!!

Lilli .Adams

Great place for an overnight layover at LAX! Shuttle was convenient, hotel was very nice and service was AMAZING the bell hop and shuttle drivers were so helpful! No microwaves in room, but there is one on the sixth floor in the ice and vending area Food at the restaurant Cafe is pretty expensive, but what do you expect in LA right? Shuttle bus gets pretty full so plan ahead to be early it might take two trips before you can fit

Anneke Johnson

This place had a lot of pros and cons On the pro side it still had the airport shuttle and many of the other hotels did not Also when my flight was suddenly changed as I was getting ready to walk out the door to go to the airport, the hotel gave me a late check-out time allowing me to stay until it was time for me to leave

On the negative side the advertisement indicated that there would be free breakfast which I take into account when booking in the overall cost This hotel no longer has free breakfast and the breakfast is fairly expensive around $20 Also the bed was not very comfortable and there was absolutely no hot water in the morning The top two things I take into account when looking for a hotel are a comfortable bed and a hot shower I gave this hotel 4 stars because of the fact that they extended my time and the staff were very friendly and helpful and I greatly appreciated that It really outweighed all of the other negatives

Overall great place to stay The room was clean The room had a fridge and microwave

Coffee and tea was available in the main office It looked like the place was remodeled not too long ago Floors are tile instead of carpet which works well for a motel One downside was that the street noise can be loud if you’re a light sleeper One of my better motel stays

Sheena T. S.

Stayed here this past weekend for a concert, it’s a no nonsense place to stay, you can tell that it used to be an old motel, but it’s newly renovated The room is clean, we had no problem with the ac, hot shower, using their microwave and mini fridgeIt’s very close to the 105, you can easily hop on from the same street

Mcdonalds, starbucks and el pollo are closeby It’s pretty convenient and close to the stadiums tooThe staff are so so friendly, especially Nick We left our iPhone charger when we checked out and they immediately called us that we did I will definitely come back and stay at this place when I’m in the area

Abby Bass

Terrible experience, they can not take online payments They also require a physical card that matches the one you put online (I know, you put a card in online, and it still doesn’t charge it online) but if you don’t have that same card you can’t stay here Even if you have another card to pay they won’t take it or allow you to change out the reservation

Service was awful the customer service person behind the desk treated my partner and I like we were stupid Offered no solutions and had the worst attitude I have seen in a while

I just stayed there for a week and it was a really great hotel I know it’s not fashionable to stay by the airport, but I was working in different parts of LA and it was relatively convenient, even in traffic The building seems brand new and the room was in great shape

The value for the money was amazing I chose this place over others because the reviews of the other comparably priced hotels all mentioned noise, which there was none of at the Cambria I’ll definitely stay there again The mattress in my room could have used an update, but otherwise I have nothing bad to say

Ian Milatz

I started staying here in October, of 2021 and stay here every time I am in town It’s quiet, the food is good, and the staff is excellentFor work it’s hard to find good parking at most hotels around LA , but 20$ for your stay with a large open lot with good privacy

No problem parking large work trucks even when the hotel was packed I couldn’t beat this pricing at any other nearby hotelI stayed here on many separate occasions and have waiting to post a review The quality is consistent

Valentina Oprea

This is definitely the best pet friendly hotel in LAX ❤I was greeted by warm and friendly staff, and was able to check-in quickly and without incident The room was modern and clean which is really appreciated by us and by our little dog Our Stay was nice and I felt well-rested

No complaints Can not wait to come back with my baby girl 😍

The stay at this hotel was excellent Staff were friendly and the amenities were very enjoyable My wife and I played basketball, worked out at the gym, went in the pool and hot tub, enjoyed watching some football in the lounge, and enjoyed a peaceful outside sitting area near a fireplace at night

We also have to thank our front desk check in associate extra as we let her know we were on our honeymoon and she provided us with complimentary free breakfast for our stay to celebrate! Along with all this, the room was clean and modern, with a TV and desk and even a mini-refrigerator Being on the top floor came with an excellent view of Hawthorne as well!

Yousef A. Almubarak

Clean and good hotel near the airportSpacious lobby and friendly staffClean spacious room with good amenities

The gym is good as wellThe place is well located near the airport but with no noise at all There is plenty of stores nearbyThey have also a bar where you can order drinks/sandwiches but no buffetThe only downside was the smoking smell in the room despite being smoking free facility

Larissa

Parking, lobby environment, and bed is great!!!! We just stayed for one night However, the bathroom shower floor was dirty Like actual dirty foot prints inside the shower and dirt accumulating on the side

Not sure why half of the door of shower was missing Super Weird design Water gets on the floor Also some of the lights were not working for a bit, had to call front desk In my opinion Not worth the price for my room A deposit is required!! Ask for receipt before you leave!!! I did enjoy the environment though Didn’t hear any noises on the fifth floor

Rooms are pretty ordinary but well appointed and incredibly quiet A small fridge and coffee making facilities are provided Inner rooms look into the pool area, which is surrounded by tall leafy trees that give rooms a nice degree of privacy

The hotel has a fairly large, well appointed gym on the ground floor The smell of weed coming from some rooms was a little unpleasant

Azul Galvez

Arrived at 9am and was able to check in The room was very clean, staff was friendly, overall great service Sonesta is becoming one of my favorite hotel chains to stay at

They’re very consistent across multiple locationsThey even had a cool setup for working from the room which I found extremely useful

Matthew Sargent

Nice rooms and clean stay- we booked the hotel because they indicated having an airport shuttle, and when checking in there was a sign in the lobby indicating the shuttle was available starting at 4:30 AM However, they don’t actually start shuttles until 6 AM, which isn’t very helpful to make a 6:30 AM flightWhen I asked about the sign, the clerk said that it was left from when the place was a Marriott Courtyard

Might be time to update the sign, or better yet offer shuttle service with times convenient for people staying at a hotel close to the airport

I would say this is definitely one of the better and more fairly priced hotels in Los Angeles The rooms are nice and big, especially if you ended up getting the suite like my friends and I did when we visited Los Angeles The continental breakfast is tasty and plentiful

The views are absolutely fantastic and the neighborhood around this place was surprisingly decent despite all you hear about Downtown LA I would keep in mind that traveling at night by yourself isn’t ideal since this is near the heart of Downtown LA so fruit for thought just in case Other than that, this is a very solid hotel It has a Starbucks, pizza place, and a Jersey Mike’s within the hotel so it’s definitely convenient for anyone who likes those places It has a somewhat fairly priced little goodie shop near the front desk with a good amount of snack, drink, and even medicine options to choose from so that’s also convenient Overall, just be mindful of your surroundings and make the best out of this hotel! It really is a solid hotel to book and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a premium experience at a fair price!

Broken alarm clock (can’t set the time) soap container falling off the shower wall $50 to park!! Every hand sanitizer in lobby is empty

Safe in the room was taken out before we arrived No orange juice at 8a breakfast on Sunday Rooms are spacious Expect nothing and you’ll be fine The robot room service delivery was awesome (even though he’s stealing a humans job)

Awesome hotel with free shuttle to LAX We stayed in the accessible room and it was excellent Our flight was very late and the shuttle got us to the hotel quickly

Staff was friendly and allowed us to park out front fora couple hours after we rented a vehicle and still needed to pack up the room Finding the shuttle was very difficult with the construction at LAX, so ask before you start walking if you aren’t sure where to go

Absolutely darling, wonderful housekeepers, super helpful and even gave us water bottles every morning Awesome ladies However, that’s kind of where the good ends

The third floor doors were permanently closed, so you have to go all the way down to ground floor from the parking garage, across the lobby, then wait for an elevator to the room floors Funny how all of the surrounding properties– even the 2 and 3 star properties– haven’t had this problem Then you deal with the parking passes for the THIRTY DOLLARS A DAY parking Once again, way more expensive than competing hotels, and my pass kept getting invalidated overnight even though it was -supposed- to be active for my full stay, so even more hassle The rooms themselves arefine? Like seriously, the only thing that set it apart from a Motel 6 was that the shower had decent pressure and a shower wand attachment Otherwise I could have spent half the money for the same room, maybe even a nicer one But worst of all, their downstairs cafe claims it was Starbucks, but they don’t have the right brands, they don’t have the right machines, and none of their pastries are Starbucks, either The lattes tasted worse than what I could have gotten down the road at the gas station, and their pastries were somehow even worse Vending machine danishes are tastier– and fresher

The lobby and room was clean, the front desk was just OK, not very excited to help but not negative Self parking was easy just behind the hotel They have a rental car service in the lobby which is convenient and the bar and grill was just what we needed after a long trip

Oh and the Lady at the small gift shop were we picked up a few late night sodas was awesome to talk with she was such a super positive person the kind that just brightens your day

Upscale hotel on Century Blvd about 2 miles from LAX Sound insulated rooms keep airport noise outside A free shuttle runs every 15 minutes to LAX, though it can easily take 30 minutes to get to Terminal 1 in the morning, so don’t be deceived by the relatively short distance

Remember, it’s LA traffic and you’re near LAX, which makes it even worseIf you are driving, parking is $30 self park or $50 valet Valet will only let you park in the circle for about 20 minutes to check in unless there’s a line at check in and you grouse about the short grace period FYI, there’s a ton of street parking behind the hotel It’s light industrial, and looks sort of deserted on weekends, but there are definitely cars parked back there YMMVBellhop service is good if you need a luggage cart Ours provided a quick rundown of the amenities available on our way to the room and was friendly and helpfulThere’s a pool and spa on the third floor, and the rooms are decent, though I expect that the rooms have varying degrees of luxuriousness Regardless, you should expect a clean room, a comfortable bed, hot showers with rain heads (pretty sure there aren’t water restrictors installed) Towels are a not bath sheet size, but at least there are 4 provided Shampoo is good for one head of long hair or two with short
