CLEAN, FRIENDLY SERVICES, NEAR BEACH, AND COMFY BEDS😂We enjoyed our stay here for the two nights we spent Front desk, housekeepers, and kitchen staff were all nice and accommodating with what we needed😇I used the app to check in and checkout,, made things run smoother while leaving our rooms There was a particular employee (night audit or evening shift) who worked on the 30th, she was very kind

I wish I remembered her name But thanks to you, the housekeepers who handed us trash bags & towels, the front desk who gave us information, and the kitchen lady who made us feel welcomed with a conversation!

We stayed at Home2 Suits by Hilton in La Porte for three days with my family and the experience we had was amazing From the front desk, housekeeping, to everything The rooms are spacious and clean with fridge, microwave, and sink

We love this place and have resolved from now on always look for Home2 Suits by Hilton anytime we’re planning our vacation

Ryan Archibald

Location was easy to get to, clean and organized as I’ve come to expect

Had an issue with my Hilton card during check-in and the gals were patient work me while i figured it outGym is great, there’s a mini laundry mat in the gym area that seems handy

The rooms are surprisingly great size Breakfast was fresh with so many healthy options The staff are genuinely so caring and helpful

(Shout out to Kitty for all the help Give this girl a raise!) everything was wonderful It’s so difficult to tell by photos and reviews how a place will actually be This hotel exceeded my expectations Just don’t go through bookingcom unless you want a headache

Martha Robinson

This was by far one of the worst hotels I have stayed in It smelled like mold and mildew There was hair all over the bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen area

We booked this place for four nights but we could only endure the smell for two days When we checked in we ask to speak to the manager because we were unsatisfied with our room We were told that she was off duty It’s been over two and a half days and we still haven’t talk to the manager Please don’t waste your money on this place

Run, don’t walk, away from this place The rooms are being “fixed” In 317, the 2 phones didn’t work, you have to slam the door 3 or 4 times then play with it to get it to lock, and the charging block for phones and laptops is broken When I finally asked to be moved, the answer was no

Not that they were busy, rightly so, but just no

Mold in the bathroom, toilet handle was broken and I had to plunge it because it clogged easily twice Stains on the bed sheets, requested 3 different pairs and 2 of those had substantial stains as well Finally after seeing what we thought might be bed bugs we asked for a different room

Given a different room only to find a big very easily noticeable stain there as well Went 15 minutes away to a different La Quinta and was very pleased at the huge difference in cleanliness Won’t be staying here again Easily worst hotel I’ve stayed at

Perry Charbarneau

The toilet is broken, the elevator is broken, the internet doesn’t work, the hot breakfast happens only if the front desk person feels like making it(hit or miss), coffee is cold Second worst motel I have ever stayed in I travel for business, so I stay in a lot of motels and hotels

So being the second worst is saying a lot I would have given 0 stars if it were an option Don’t stay here!

Jason Huffman

The staff was friendly and cooperative The breakfast was adequate; however, I would recommend extending the serving time until 0900 on Saturday and Sunday The bathroom (room 123) needs a new shower curtain and repair or replacement on the bathtub faucet

Also, it appears that the walls were not completely painted and there is a 5-6 inch burned/melted spot on the carpet in front of the fridge The outside flower beds are in a state of repair

Several members of our family stayed at Hampton Inn so we could be near our cousin who was nearing the end of her battle with cancer When we were in La Porte about a month ago, we stayed at the Holiday Inn The contrast between the two hotels was remarkable and review-worthy, with Hampton Inn being the clear winner

Even before the staff knew why we were there, they were genuinely warm and welcoming The facilities were wonderfully clean and fresh-smelling, as were the rooms There was a sign in the bathroom explaining that housekeeping services were available by request; however, getting the room serviced did not require any action on my part Housekeeping staff arrived daily to keep the room spotless (There was no such sign at the Holiday Inn During my three-day stay, the wastebaskets were never emptied, towels were not replaced, etc)Eventually, the staff became aware of our reason for being there Their compassion and empathy were incredible, as all the while they respected our privacy They went above and beyond to ensure we had what we needed, even extending those courtesies to extended family that lives in the area and came to see us at the hotel The morning my cousin passed, Ms Connie (“the breakfast room lady”) gave us hugs as we were leavingWhen I mentioned in passing to one of the desk clerks that we’d be back in a couple of weeks for my cousin’s funeral, she immediately offered -without prompting- to make sure our rooms, which had been booked separately, would be as close together as possibleMy career has given me the opportunity to stay in some pretty swanky hotels around the globe None of them have been as memorable or special as this humble little hotel with the world’s best staff

James Beck

Staff is friendly and attentive – especially the breakfast folks Breakfast was yummy each day and plentiful A/C in room was strong, cool, and robust; Shower was excellent – w/ sliding glass door versus a shower curtain

They didn’t provide room service (prob Covid protocol) but we preferred this – and easily did a towel swap w/ house-keeping Only issue was the tiny bathroom sink w/ faucet at the corner – that caused sink top flooding when we used it Stupid location for the faucet – and the sink should be bigger give this is a Hilton (not Motel-6) Pool was disgustingly green when we were there – hope we don’t get a fungus due to entering it

Paige Garcia

Everything I was looking for a hotel!1) Polite Staff- from checking in/out and during breakfast2) Speaking of which, an awesome, hot, breakfast!3) Clean- lobby to your room No bad , moldy smell when entering the room4) Convenient locationIt was a wonderful experience!

Stayed here for a weekend getaway The staff was very friendly & the room was great for the price However, when we arrived the computers were down so checking in took a while longer than normal

We understand technology isn’t perfect & the manager was as quick as could be despite their dilemma Our main disappointment was that we chose this place for being “pet friendly” but had to leave a graduation dinner early after receiving a call about a noise complaint about our dog barking We were given a room right by the elevator so anyone, including our little Yorkie, can hear anyone coming in & out of it Lesson learned & next place we stay, we will ask for a far corner room

The room that we were first checked in to was not cleaned from the last person that stayed there (I feel they are short staffed) We told the front dest person and he kindly switched our room to a clean room The rooms are nice

A/C only really went down to 68°, so if you like a colder room I’d consider looking elsewhere Water in the shower was only lukewarm (still good water pressure), despite it being cranked all the way to hot But other than that, the hotel was nice and the cleaned-up room was clean Staff was very kind

Did not mention anything about pets while booking online nor in the signing of room policy until the end where it states “an additional charge of $100 will be added if a pet is found” The night booking agent didn’t know what to do when I asked him to go ahead and charge me because my service dog would be staying with me He called his manager three times and then only offered to cancel my room with no charge

The room was nice but the people were not I do not recommend this place They now have signs posted in the lobby that say “no pets allowed”

Had to evacuate Louisiana last month due to Hurricane Laura When I got to Baytown I pulled off I-10 and settled on this location There were many other motels to select from but the very clean outside appearance of this one caught my eye

Motel is very well kept up Pricing is very reasonable Rooms are extremely clean (Direct TVmany channels fridge microwave onsite washer and dryer for guests, etc) The staff is very efficient and thoroughkeeping towels and linens changed out every day Did see the manager, Lisa, outside in the parking lot sweeping up as well as helping with the rest of the staff This is one of the best run motels I have ever stayed in If I am ever forced out of Lake Charles againI will be taking up temporary residence at the Americas Best Value Inn – Baytown, Texas

Rooms were spacious and clean When I arrived For check in The girl at the front desk let me know that my check in date was actually the next day (booking com error) but she got me checked in right away The only thing I was upset about was since the girl was new she didn’t tell me that there was a rate increase for checking me in On A Saturday instead of a Sunday

However After reaching out to the property manager she fixed the problem right away Will definitely be staying again

So far what I liked about the room is that it was really big the restroom was clean I like the fact that you had the shelf set up with all the towels The sink by the restroom had a coffee maker I thought that was really nice Also in the closet there was a blow dryer a iron and the iron table to iron clothes some hangers and the little luggage holder very impressive

Now my concern that I didn’t like was that there was a door in the middle of the room had a childproof plastic knob holder on the door which I don’t know what that was used for kind of suspicious The AC didn’t work it was hot in the room it never cooled down and the shower the cold water didn’t work so you had no cold water I like the fact that you had a table in the middle that was really cute and everything else was fine

Trish Wishy

This place was perfect for the price! I always check reviews thoroughly before I book anywhere, and I have no complaints! We had friendly service, clean rooms, comfy beds, the A/C worked properly, and the floors were nice to walk on and seemed new Last but not least, I was thrilled to find out they serve breakfast unlike so many other hotels nowadays “due to Covid” and they have Texas-Shaped waffles, which I love!!

Jax O’Riley

Recently stayed here a few times & it was absolutely awful, horrible rude service No actual manager or supervisors on property Cleaners and front desk staff are the worst

No one to talk to about actual issues & don’t expect the owner or any manager to contact guests about any concerns Better to spend $25-$50 more a night for a nicer higher quality hotel than this run down horrible hotel Constant police activity, low lives and crackheads at this location It’s very loud, only time its quiet is if no other guest is staying on the same floor or building Disgusting swampy smell overall in most rooms Water is never consistent Pressure low then high Cold barely any hot water Workers always lurking around invading your privacy opening doors without permission etc other people We spoke to also had similar experiences yet there is no one here that cares about the guests They don’t have actual breakfast or any nice pool like they show in the photos The guest laundromat is out of order This place is false advertising They need to update the photos and details online Do not stay here better to go elsewhere- save yourself money & a headache One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at in south Texas Others have experienced infestation of roaches & staff trying to charge guests for towels etc This place needs to be put on reset It needs New owners, new staff, new upgraded rooms or just needs to be shut down that’s how bad it is especially if you stay longer than one daygood luck! I’ll never stay here again

Alot better than the Hilton down the street, there the hallway and rooms look older-not worth the price Here at the Hampton, everything looks more new or modern, the beds are firm, quiet hallways, See if my pic shows up Good breakfast 6 to 10am

Everyone on staff is nice and helpful If i had to be picky about any negative things, it would be the pool (3ft- 5ft deep) is open until 10pm but no lights underwater like at other hotel pools, they Only have lights by the outdoor tables There’s Seafood restaurant across the street from hotel but try to go in a vehicle, the street has 6 lanes

Nursenanz N

This is one of our favorite places to stay The reason I am giving it 4 stars is because on one of our stays the shower didn’t work, which we did not realize until the morning of checkout and nothing could be done The second reason is I really don’t care for the egg omelets

There are plenty of secondary options, fruit, waffles, cereal and oatmeal along with pastries sometimes I prefer a hot breakfast and the scrambled eggs were better than the omelets Staff has always been friendly and helpful I stay here probably 4-5 nights a month

LaTosha L.

I arrived to have a relaxing weekend before I am admitted for another procedure The service representative (Emily) decided to question my health condition as to confirm my ADA status for my service dog Understandably inquiring to a degree but asking “what is your condition?” THATS NOT Legally acceptable

Mind you, not only do I have a certified ID for the dog but it’s illegal for her to inquire about medical conditions I did disclose and even was willing to call my doctor to speak with her I informed her that she cannot legally inquire about my status and she said she could I’m offended and annoyed I will never visit this location again They have no respect for anyone with a disability so I hope they have respect for my veteran husband because he’s calling the manager to get this addressed I only told the representative about one of my conditionsJust an update: I decided to go and inquire about the questions they generally ask This morning representative asked THE APPROPRIATE questions but she had to step about 2 to 3 feet away to find them This leads me to believe that the team here is trained appropriately but Emily may have made just a common mistake that many do when trying to recall questions I’m not done with ordeal but I’m more empathetic that she may have made a mistake Regardless, mistakes or not, I did tell her that is illegal to ask me and I will be moving forward with ensuring corporate steps in and the local ADA is advised of this matter”When traveling with a service animal, according to the ADA, the hotel staff only has the right to ask you two questions;• Is your dog a service dog?• What task(s) does your service dog provide?”Please note that the facility was lovely and all staff, even imposing and disrespectful Emily, appeared to be helpful I would not recommend anyone coming here due to my experience but if that never occurred then this truly would have been lovely

The good: Front desk lady was very nice, room was clean and room look newly renovated For the price it’s a good dealThe bad: Pool was green on arrival, they had to shock it due to rain, and it was down most the weekend

They still advertise breakfast but still aren’t serving it due to covid even if their competitors are It’s possible that we just got unlucky The water temperature varies, and the pressure isn’t very goodTLDR: The place looks great and is good for the price point These guys are doing the big stuff right, but fall short on the little stuff, and sometimes it just adds up

Ivan Zuniga

Do not stay here Pool was closed they would not allow to cancel the expedia booking Arrive there and they have no breakfast

The front desk lady was talking over the phone while taking a long time to do the check in When she finally finishes We walk all the way to our room just to find out that the keys or the lock did not work Went all the way back to the front desk and they want to move us to another room When I ask if the ac works Because I don’t want to walk all the way back to another room just to find it is not working And the front desk Karen starts recording me and walks close to me hitting my phone and starts telling us that we could not stay there When we record her she starts threatening about calling the cops Stay away of these place

J Wilson

Booked two rooms over a weekend, and traveled a couple hundred miles to stay 2 hours before check in I get an email that they’ve canceled the reservations When I called to ask about the email, they state they tried to call and when I didn’t answer, they cancel the room

They don’t send an email to confirm, simply an email to say it’s canceled They insult your intelligence and state that times have changed, and if you don’t answer the phone for confirmation they give your room to someone else In 40 years and thousands of nights in hotel rooms, I have never experienced such I had no missed phone calls And then they try to say “you must have put in a wrong phone number That’s your mistake” Room was reserved and held with a credit cardWith a cancelation policy that if you don’t show up, they charge your card What is the point of having that policy if you don’t adhere to it? So needless to say, we are now stuck a long way from home with no room bevmcause their written check in policy is worthless I should have read all the other negative reviews and skipped on past this hotel I guess if you take the risk, be warned that they will say they call when they really don’t and you’ll be stuck with nowhere to stay Oh, and I might add, after being told on the phone that they had no rooms available, I checked online and there were rooms available So they obviously don’t want or need anyone’s business

This place is a bit worn and dated There is obvious wear and tear in the room and my hairdryer died after being on for 5 secondsIf you are going to the Houston Space Center, it is only an 8 minute driveAlso, there is a souvenir shop next door to the hotel with space stuff at 1/3 the cost of the HSC gift shopThe pool is under construction and looks like it is a ways out from being done The neighborhood is a little roughThe towels are classic for a small inexpensive hotel (think and small)Beds were comfy and the AC worked well even if it was a bit noisyThis is a good spot for inexpensive solo travel

Deven, the GM, was a great help!He offered us the cards to the two rooms we were considering so we could make a educated decision Our room was great and even included a towel animal! After we left Deven called me an said I had left a pillow! Above and beyond service! I will stay here again!

Melissa Palomino

I chose this hotel solely based on the reviews and I did not call the hotel to ask additional questions Everyone was right, Deven definitely provides excellent service and that is a big plus He goes above and beyond for his guests

The location was perfect for us as it was close to Galveston, Kemah and downtown Houston The rooms were clean, spacious and cleaned daily The only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast It was not a true continental breakfast like previous comments mentioned All we had to choose from was Nature Made breakfast bars, Rice Krispy treats, fruits, juice, and coffee For the price we paid per night, I feel that it could have had more options like comparable hotels nearby I would still recommend it and consider staying there again in the future

Excellent facility Very clean Staff was overly friendly

Grounds were near perfection Room was very nice Fare exceeds Choice branded hotels where we have stayed in Galveston Definitively worth the minimal extra drive into Galveston And, to top it off, Moses was professional, witty and accommodating Stay here with confidence of an excellent visit

The staff is friendly and helpful This hotel has all of the basics that you will need Microwave, mini-fridge, safe, decent cable and an A/C that will really crank it down! The room was very clean and well furnished and quiet

Loved it I did think it was odd having the reception desk on the opposite side of the elevator but it is only a 2 floor building so no big deal

Don’t you just hate it when the guest before you leaves the alarm on and wakes you unexpectedly!?!? Ha Anyway, the room was clean, breakfast during the week is slim Pickens Breakfast on the weekend is better

The main hall carpet needs to be replacedOverall,we were satisfied with our stay

The best part of my stay was when the staff member Aremecia(I believe that’s her name) went out of her way to accommodate me She was a sweet older lady with curly hair I originally booked one night and decided to stay a second night after arriving

I was originally told I had to check out and then check in to get another room and that I could not keep the same room I was told I had to do this book because I booked with a 3rd party I asked for early check in and I was told it was not possible I knew it was last minute so I understood The next day when checking out, this sweet lady found a way to check me in early, offered me to stay in the same room and accommodated all my needs She made it seem like it was no problem at all She was definitely inconvenienced to make these arrangements for me and I could tell she had to move things around for us, but it really made our day go so much smoother Because of her, my stay went from good to EXCELLENT It is service like this you don’t see too much nowadays and that is why it was so extra special She is the only reason why I decided to write this review

Pros: First off don’t listen to the bad reviews on the breakfast Very good full breakfast A+ Crispy bacon, fresh eggs, and cubed potatoes, decent French toast

Location and rooms were good But, breakfast is not included in the room price, unless you pay a higher room price If you have breakfast, you must pay $14

99 + tax There is also an additional 17% charge during the month of June and July Ironically, I was not informed of these when I booked my reservation Other than that, the hotel stay was good
