Simply Beautiful

Front desk staff was nice at check in Housekeeping was OK except for one who wanted to make sure we had everything we needed she was great! The others acted as of they hated their jobs and didn’t want to be there We also overheard them complaining about 2 employees not being there for their scheduled shift so they had double work to do

So over all stay was good nice clean rooms continental breakfast was was they had a very good selection of food I would definitely recommend this hotel

Nadia Simmons

The hotel was nice, clean, and accommodating for the most part All the staff members were nice and professional The only reason we didn’t give five stars was because we were staying on the 3rd floor, and even though our rooms were cool and comfortable, the hallway was literally 90° and muggy

I told the front desk, and they said ok We stayed for 3 nights and the hallway temperature never changed during our stay

Carrie Hamill

Absolutely terrible!! After driving 17 hours, we tried to stop to stay here They would not take a walk in customer and made me call some reservation person The woman spoke broken English and was hard to understand her

After giving her my info 5 times over and over again, I got extremely aggravated and left Guess they didn’t want my $200 We went up the road, literally 2 miles, and walked in without issue They were more than happy for my $119

This was our first trip to a home2suites The layout was fantastic with a full refrigerator, dishes, kitchen sink, microwave In the past I have done much business travel, and what I loved about this room was that the fan on the heat was a constant hum and not the on and off that would wake me up with other hotels

We slept like a baby! It was more like white noise than fan noise Big deal for this frequent traveler Check-in staff was extremely helpful I will look for a home to suites next time! My husband and I were on a road trip back home to MN from Florida and our little dog liked the open spaces to walk

Sarah Adams

We won’t ever stay anywhere else on our trips back and forth to visit grandparents anymore! We got there 2 hours before normal check in and they made sure to get a room cleaned as I had two small kids who had been on the road for HOURS and just needed a break! The man was absolutely delightful He thought of everything- 2 beds, a tub for baths and gave my son some free snacks on the way up! Breakfast was delicious! My son spilled his cereal and the attendant was over immediately to help clean it up with a smile on her face Everyone was incredibly welcoming and hospitable! We will certainly be back

Taysha BG

These rooms need to be cleaned better, the staff nice, the location perfect the room dirty spots on the bed cover, hair in shower, sofa dirty I didn’t even sit on it Whew ( sp) child help, I just wanted morning to come seriously! It’s harder because the staff was kind maybe they need more help I don’t know Stay only if you have to

We had an outstanding visit in Auburn staying at the Crenshaw House The staff go out of their way to acommodate even the smallest wants and needs that we had Clean, warm and refreshing, particularly in the midst of Covid

Breakfast was a real highlight and was done with an extra special touch of planning and care Waking up to the smell of bacon rising upstairs to our room was unbeatable We thoroughly enjoyed our first stay over Valentine’s weekend 2021 and we will certainly be back A real gem of all the B&B’s we’ve stayed at

Laura Harden

Beautiful place! Lovely people! We truly felt at home The rooms are comfy The food is delicious

The hosts are gracious and friendly We were there for an Auburn visit The night we arrived we lounged in the yard, took a walk over to campus(stopping for popsicles on the way), visited with the dog, chased fireflies, and had a restful sleep The breakfast was yummy and waiting for us when we got up the next morning We were able to leave our car parked while we walked to campus for our tour I can only hope my daughter chooses Auburn so that I have a reason to return to the Crenshaw Guest House

My husband and I stayed here while we were in the Auburn/Opelika area for the day I started not feeling well at all so we decided to get a room so I could rest From the moment we walked in we knew this was a great choice

The cleanliness of the lobby, the friendly staff to the cleanliness of our room were all very, very impressive!! (This is coming from someone with a compromised immune system so cleanliness is an absolute must have for me! I was so comfortable and had zero concerns!) The location is perfect! We definitely well be looking for Microtel Inn & Suites on our next overnight stay(s)!!

I have to say i was a bit disappointed with this place The room was tiny and felt cramped The a/c wouldn’t turn off, so i had to switch it to heat eventually

I asked for a blanket and the woman said, “you’ll have to come down and get it, because I’m checking someone in” It was about 1:30 in the morning So i had to dress enough to go downstairs, and she was sitting there on her cell phone I don’t doubt that when i called she was, in fact, checking someone in, but one would have thought that she could offer to bring it up when she was done

D. Woods

Stay away from room 308 The pictures will explain why I was moved to room 408, and did not have any problems with roaches

By then I was all grossed out, and had trouble sleeping If you check up under the beds and alone the dresser, a person will find that this hotel do not vacuum well I hope this is helpful for people making decisions on where to live for a day or two

We have been staying at this hotel for the past 6 years when visiting our daughter It used to be a great hotel and has gone extremely downhill We were awakened at 8:00 am on Saturday to incessant banging

The 5th floor is undergoing renovations That’s great, but nothing was mentioned on the app or website We would have chosen a room on a lower floor away from the noise When discussing it with the front desk, she immediately became rude and hostile rather than offering a solution such moving us to a lower level She blamed us, raised her voice was inappropriate and combative Unacceptable! The room was subpar…stained sticky carpet; only sheets on the bed; torn blinds; dingy/smelly pillows that looked old with no pillowcase; broken shower door; and bathroom sink that backed up For the high price, the hotel was completely unacceptable and on the level of a glorified Motel 6 I am disappointed to say we will look for alternate accommodations in LaGrange during our next visit Do better Hilton/Hampton!!!

Sean Evatt

Horrible!! Hopefully after the remodel it will be better Also, watch the staff they have very sharp edge mouths Be ready to argue if u are not happy because they will tell u why you are wrong

I made a reservation online and they forced me to pay up-front I arrived at the property early and waited about 30 minutes for a room to be ready I walked to my room, 70s flashback In the bathroom was a plunger in a plastic bag, the floor was sticky, the door would not close all the way I went down and asked for a different room and basically got told because you prepaid you are stuck Called customer service and after 30 minutes they moved me to a suite I walked in to wore down furniture, stained floors, ceiling fan with dust about a inch thick, paper shreds all over the place, closet door off track Back to the desk and again nothing we can do because you prepaid with some other smart comments Called customer service again, 1:45 later I finally was able to get a refund and move to another hotel

Chrisheena Huguley

Horrible horrible horrible experience! I originally booked for a 2 standard Queen and upon arrival I was advised there was only a single king available (false advertising) Not only that, I was assigned an occupied room (124) I literally walked in and there were two people asleep in the bed I requested for a refund and had to find somewhere else to stay in the middle of the night, which was inconvenient and a hassle

Front desk agent was very unprofessional! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel what so ever to anyone!

Good place to stay! Recommend if looking to stay someplace comfortable, convenient and clean Room included a mini kitchen (2 electric burner, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, sink, utensils and necessities), perfect place to settle in and cook or relax The rooms do offer a lot but do feel rather packed in due to the amount of items within them, but it is all in a comfortable atmosphere of a relax unit

Location is near university and surrounding growing community of restaurants, shops, etc Would recommend a stay and a drive/walk around area

You know when you were younger they played easy listening music in the elevators? Well

now I’m old & there is no elevator music in the elevator They played my type of elevator music in the lobby & at the pool BUT not in the elevators!! I LOVED THE MUSIC BUT it needs to be in the elevator I looked funny just standing in front of an open elevator singing The rooms are really nice just really small LOVE KAYLA!!!!!! We had a five night stay at this location Excellence from start to finish One of the best lodging experiences we’ve ever had

Amazing hospitality Every staff member (valet, desk, dining, housekeeping, etc) was so polite, professional, and engaging The facilities and rooms were clean and comfortable The location is convenient to campus, shopping, and other dining options Definitely a Five-Star experience

Jessica Dial

Best hotel I have ever stayed in! From the staff to the amenities, and beautiful rooms Everything about this hotel was fabulous! There was a medical emergency in the middle of a massive rain storm when we first arrived and the staff handled it wonderfully A water leak the next morning, was handled quickly and perfectly

Need something for a headache, just text downstairs! The shower had actual water pressure, and was just perfect! The beds were comfy, LOTS of plugs, good lighting! The only MINOR issue was the overflow drain in the bathroom sink needs a little bleach, it was moldy But everything else was very clean!

Tenaciously Tina’e

Tonight upon arriving we were greeted with genuine hospitality that I haven’t experienced in a long time The ladies at the front desk provided us with a little background of the area and the school which interest my daughter They made me feel both welcomed and comfortable after a long day

The rooms delicately and tastefully tailored, and the suites exceeded my expectations Great Location, Great Service, Near by Dining, I have definitely found my go to spot when visiting Auburn

(Two (connected) rooms, one night)Rooms were clean and in generally good condition One significant problem: When we got the rooms, the a/c had been off (on a 92°F day) and it was *hot* in them The air handlers were in good condition and clean, and got the rooms cooled down in a couple of hours

Since we checked in at around 9 PM, this was a significant delay in being able to go to sleep

Anthony Dixon

This place needs an upgrade Check in was quick Upon reaching my room, i noticed dead bugs all around the air conditioner

Thank god they weren’t roaches but looked like lady bugs I also saw one crawling on the ceiling The breakfast was barely warm Gravy was cold, sausage was cold I sat down to eat and never once saw a worker come to attend to the food I also called for a late check in and the person who answered was less than happy about me calling

Jake

Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a nice breakfast are important to me and Sleep Inn meets all of these requirementsClose to downtown is a plus

We were in town for my Mom’s memorial June 3 and 4 The hotel it self is a little dated Our room was a little small

The A/C was not working very well We got really warm We asked 3 times for clean towels and never received them The pool was dirty and the chlorine was overwhelming When I checked out Carol was so sweet She so understanding We had our little puppy Gracie with us Everyone loved her there The breakfast was outstanding For a complimentary breakfast they had a lot of verity The staff was so sweet and welcoming Would not stay here again just for the fact that for the price you pay I’d like a little bigger room, clean towels ,clean pool and a room that the A/C worked Carol checked us in and out Carol thank you for being so sweet and caring💞💞💞 I gave 4 stars for the staff😊😊😊

I travel for business and am a Hilton Honors member Hampton Inns are usually my first choice I intended to stay five days and use this hotel as my base

I checked in just before midnight Just walking through the doors, into the lobby, then on the elevators and to the room peaked concerns about cleanliness and maintenance Everything looked worn out and dated I went straight to the bathroom to brush my teeth and go to bed I turned on the light and saw the toilet lids up and urine in the bowl As disgusting as that was, I flushed it and got ready for bed It was so late, and I had driven 500 miles to get there I was exhausted so I stayed through the night and woke up early the next morning to meet witnesses I was preparing for a trial The soap slipped out of my hand while I was in the shower When I bent down to pick it up, I was stunned to see hairs all over the floor It was as if someone had used clippers and dry shaved their body Small clippings of short hair everywhere I actually gagged There was so much hair on the bar of soap that I couldn’t claw it out with my fingernailsI packed my car, canceled my morning appointments, and called Hilton Honors During the 24 minute wait I was supposed to have before a customer service representative came to the phone, I was able to go to the front desk and check out They were not overly concerned that I was canceling my stay less than 12 hours of arriving and with four more nights left to go That’s probably because a manager was not on duty to hear about my issues or complaints The conversation with Hilton Honors customer service was as pathetic as the shower floor was That’s an entirely different story and entirely different review to comeI am provided a debit card for my travel expenses When I went to check into another hotel, I could not because a hold of just under $1000 had been placed on the debit card Neither the Hampton Inn nor Hilton Honors could resolve that problem after hours of tryingToday, I will be checking out of La Quinta where I ended up staying the remainder of my trip The experience at La Quinta was 100% improvement over my experience at the Hampton Inn I was surprised at that since the cost is about 30% less I doubt I will ever stay at a Hampton Inn Again unless it is one that I am very familiar with Even so, I have no confidence that Hiltons Honors customer service can resolve or even cares to resolve complaints and experiences such as mine

Phillip Lowry

The level of incompetence is surreal After over charging my card and being promised a full refund Hilton decides that I am not worthy of an actual full refund bc I did use the room Never mind that I have had to make over 10 phone calls between Hilton honors and the location itself

Always talking to someone else each time Never mind that I was promised a full refund by the GM and Hilton Honors They don’t care about you All they want is your money and they’ll steal to get it

The room smelled of smoke upon entering While the room itself was passingly tidy, the bathroom had visible mold and mildew Mattresses were ok but not very comfortable

Awoke in the morning to find no hot water for a shower So we will be on the road for six hours to hopefully get a shower at our next hotel… Which will not be a Candlewood Suites

Three nights, avoiding COVID in the place I was supposed to be staying They do not service the room Unless requested, supplies (coffee etc) can be picked up from the front desk, sometimes quite a long wait after dialling 0

Lots of weird mechanical noises in my room even with the A/C switched offOtherwise comfortable and spacious enough I didn’t use any other of the hotels facilities

Tonga Newsome

We stayed here overnight while traveling to Florida Upon entering the bathroom I witnessed a roach crawling on the toilet Before we could phone downstairs, Nancy phoned us to make sure everything was okay with our room

We explained what happened and she immediately came with keys for a new room Nancy’s excellent customer saved the day I probably will never stay here again, however it was nice that management was so responsive Nancy gets 5 stars, the hotel only 3

This place is infested with roaches Once we checked in the room the roaches came out of a pillow We went back to the front desk and they refused to give a refund

The front desk clerk closed the blinds and called the police to ask us to leave since we didn’t want a different room The office even had roaches crawling outside the office window

Vae Ferguson

I’m really impressed with the staff and the room The staff very mannerable and the room was nice & clean and affordable If I ever come back to visit Alabama I’ll be coming back to this Quality Inn

I stayed at the Hampton Inn a day before and the service was poor the rooms were dirty and it cost way more So yes I’m pleased with this Quality Inn
