We stayed at this hotel on our way back from Michigan to Philly to break up our trip and we couldn’t have picked a better place! We booked through the website, Hotel Tonight, so we got a discounted price for a lovely two bed room The check in experience was smooth with a very friendly staff member named Jonathan We enjoyed the pool and had a delicious complimentary breakfast

Would definitely recommend staying here!

Good clean hotel to stay in Oregon, staffs were friendly and welcoming Breakfast ladies were kind and did an amazing job, plenty of hot food start and end times and they have fruits ( bananas and oranges) and oatmeal for a healthier alternative The only thing was the carpet smelled bad, I only could smell it while sitting on the ground because I had my baby crawling on it with extra sheets laid down of course but we didn’t want the hassle of switching rooms

In all a good hotel to stay, great service

Kevin Mahoney

This is a great hotel Very clean, up-2-date, quiet Additionally, I had 2 unexpected requests and John was able to accommodate

I had to leave to early to get breakfast but it was smelling fantasticIf your heading through the area and need a place to stay I highly recommend this hotel!!!

Very nice hotel Prices are out the roof Staff very friendly

Prices for the bistro not worth it The room was clean However there’s two toilet paper holders, one was completely empty laying on the sink and the other roll was at its end I didn’t need the shampoo, conditioner or body wash and it’s a good thing They were all empty Employees hooking up with guests, unprofessional

Sneaky Surgeon

Needed to travel for work Don’t get me wrong it’s comfy and looks nice BUT Let me tell you, nothing was clean I don’t even think anybody cleaned anything! Sink had hair in it, toilet was half flushed, room had a bad odor and so did the elevator and hallways, mirrors looked like someone sneezed on them SUPER DIRTY, shower was not cleaned either

I will not recommend to anyone and I will NEVER book here EVER again Wish I could’ve checked out early, better yet booked another hotel…

Mimi Shinada

They were nice enough to provide me the vacuum for me when I checked in as my child has bad allergies to anything that comes from animals Marriott has stated they have not allowed pets in since COVID

which is great but they didn’t guarantee me that they shampoo and cleaned all room carpetsWhen my son opened the door, the room smelled like pee 🙁 walked further in and the smell went awayAfter doing a quick wipe down and spray sanitizer on fabric and shower area, the pee smell still is there I asked to see if they had something to spray to get rid of the smell, they brought up a fragrance bottle, which I rejected because it’s too strong I tried my lavender spray for spot treatment, it worked for one day I quickly wiped down the AC unit and sure enough there was black mold See pics for details The AC filter was clean, but the unit itself was dirtyStill trying to find the smell in the shower room, I noticed a weird splash of something on the wall near the AC controller boxThe smell came from the bathroom, and I noticed the shower area and toilet area had new caulking over the old caulk and some areas in the shower have black spots underneath the new caulking The shower curtain smells mildew Near the time of checkout, I finally figured out where the pee smell came fromthe grout on the bathroom floors The cleaners do not mop this floor but use a large lint roller to clean the floors in the bathroom I saw this while I exchanged for some clean towels a day before checking outYou would think the exhaust fan would take out the smell, but it’s so dirty, like it hasn’t been cleaned in months (see pics)My room phone didn’t work even hooked up, then the refrigerator didn’t work Scott told me to unplug and replug the outlet, then press the frost button The refrigerator is not cold enough to keep food in it

We had a large group of 23 so we had three loft rooms (one north loft, two east loft) Overall, the whole experience was great We had an unfortunate housekeeping incident which is why I knocked off a star

However, the lodge handled the whole incident well and apologized profusely Had they not handled the situation well, I’m not sure we would go backThe “things I wish I knew” listthis place is VERY spread out, so if you are traveling with an older guest (we had an 80 year old with us), this info is key Our north loft room was very far from the main area and even farther from the east loft rooms, where the rest of our family was The north loft had a lakeview, however, so in my opinion it was worth it for that reason The rooms also did not have much space to sita loft sleeps 8, so obviously there are up to 8 people with food in the room and it was very cramped with not being able to sit and snack on food – most of us sat and ate on our beds The grounds are beautiful, just very spread out as I mentioned We didn’t even get to see everything partly because of the distance away from our room On this same note, we really wished there were more elevators or SOMETHING to make it easier on older guests Something else I wished I knewdo NOT call the 800 number on the website, call the 419 number The 800 number does not go to people at Maumee Bay, so the customer service through them is not as specializedThe great pointsthe Ice Breaker Lounge was phenomenal We went for happy hour on Friday and loved it so much, we decided to reserve tables for our whole group on Saturday Great pizza, great service The breakfast buffet at the Water’s Edge was amazing also Gift shop is amazing Pools were well maintained The showers in the rooms were awesome! There are fire pits you can rent for $75/night which we almost did, but decided against itOverall, great experience but we will do it differently next time by getting conjoined rooms closer to the main area or we may try the reunion cabin that is coming soon – that looks awesome

Relies heavily on the location, which is beautiful don’t get me wrong This resort would be best suited for either families with very young kids or seniors Breakfast needs work: at the START of breakfast, food should not be cold

Eggs were oddly soggy, pancakes were cold and crunchy, potatoes were cold Pancakes should not require a knife to saw through, why are they hard? Gift shop was cool, pools are nice, having a balcony was nice Don’t expect any good mixed drinks from the bar, and it’s not the bartenders fault! Supply them with better options If beer is your thing, you should be safe Everything seems clean but the rooms are underwhelming, showers are cool

gwen2814

The overhaul on the rooms was nice The staff at check in desk was wonderful and accommodating The restaurant and the restaurant service was terrible

The breakfast buffet is extremely overpriced We paid $13 a person for frozen pancakes and powdered eggs Complimentary breakfasts at hotels are way better than this The fruit and eggs on the buffet were empty from the time we sat down to the time we left Who knows how old the rest of the food on the buffet was Halfway through our meal we finally got orange juice We asked for more immediately considering the glasses were tiny and who knows when we would get more The waitress walked by us 3 more times before we had to get her attention for the orange juice we had requested 20 minutes before Will not be spending any more money down here Too bad because the view is beautiful Do better

Clean rooms on day we stayed, however, booking was done online and if you’re not paying attention to the page, you can easily book on the wrong date and trying to get your money put back on credit card after explaining to the manager and him promising to take it—let’s just say good luck They do not keep their word for reimbursement! I will not stay there ever again and have recommended my family not to stay at this establishment EVER!

Gabe Everett

DO NOT STAY HERE I was told that as of a couple years ago, this was one of the nicer hotels in the area No longer the case

The carpets were disgusting Our feet were black after walking on it The couch had booger stains and who knows what other kind of stains were on it The water in the shower refused to go cold, only scalding hot Same with the sink water My wife and I had to go back and forth multiple times a day, because the front desk people kept messing up our rooms keys, but blamed it on us for having our room keys to close to our phones or wallet? As if we didn’t think of that Lastly, there was food in a little fridge at the “bistro” in the hotel lobby, but the hardboiled eggs had mold starting to grow and at least half the other stuff was expired Safe to say neither of us wanted them making us food, so we didn’t even bother eating there Neither should you

Amina Csora

LOCK YOUR DOORS Thanks goodness I had the deadbolt locked because 45 minutes before check out housekeeping did not announce themselves, did not knock, just unlocked my door, but got caught on the inside lock and moved on to the next room (doing the same thing, no knock, no announcement, just unlocked the door) Maybe this is how they do it here, but it made me very uncomfortable

Hotel appears to be recently remodeled Friendly staff Nice breakfast

Difficult to find parking This is the LOUDEST hotel I’ve ever stayed in We were put by a group of kids and there was lots of slamming doors and yelling down the hall between rooms late at night The problem was, it sounded like they were in the room with me The people above us sounded like elephants walking around and you could hear their doors slamming too There must be no insulation between rooms and floors

medekin

Okay hotel to stay, not worth $100+ a night, needs renovations, hallway carpet area has dipsPros: clean beds, breakfast lady was welcoming and nice Liked the desk and storage space in our room, how bright the room was, and the light fixture on the headboard

Breakfast has oatmeal same flavor in a cup cinnamon apple no variety though Fruits orange and apples Pancake machine, sausage/Turkey patty etcStaff encounter all were kind and nice :)Cons: pool and gym has super strong smells (so we didn’t swim), our room non smoking smelled like cigarettes upon entering even stronger in the bathroom (we booked smoke free and I specifically chose it for that reason, and the building says it’s smoke free), my husband didn’t want the hassle and time of switching rooms, room could’ve been cleaner( not vacuumed good), fridge was sticky I had to wipe it down myself then found hair, carpet sticky areas which I laid down sheets on, one of the lights in the bathroom closest to shower wasn’t working, could’ve been cleaner as well black smudges on wall and shower curtain, tub is not leveled or is it supposed to be like that?, breakfast says it ends at 9:30am went down one of the mornings at 8:40am and there was no hot food except for the grab and go bars etc so be sure to go early if you want hot breakfast, coffee didn’t taste good, old? (also didn’t have a good selection like the Hampton and Marriott in Oregon) we ended up buying Starbucks every morningDefinitely would improve better if it was cleaned better, and the cigarette smell was taken care of in the room and they also stick to their breakfast times written on their wall

I’ve stayed in many many hotels and I’d say this is higher on my list for cleanliness and overall being a great hotel Zero issues with the staff, they we’re very friendly The rooms were overall very clean in my opinion of past stays at other hotels except the office chair provided in the room did have some minor staining on the seat

I loved the extra amenities in the room like the microwave, fridge, and kurig Breakfast was served promptly on time and is your typical hotel breakfast so nothing special about it Parking in front is very limited and it seems like hotel workers and a few guests take up what limited spots are available up front The rest of the parking is limited to one side or the back unfortunately If I have to stay in Toledo again, I’d definitely keep this hotel in mind

Rakan Dogum

Very good stay, just don’t like how I have to go to the front desk to request house keeping or fresh towels Saw a housekeeper upstairs on my floor who refused to give me towels until I explained my situation… Just didn’t appreciate that as I’m staying 5 nights

I will return though when I visit Toledo for business again most likely, Lewis was very nice and helpful

noah kamden

Amazing hotel, the staff were all very helpful and nice King room was amazing, giant room with a super comfy bed and pillows closet/storage space is great and my favorite was the bathroom

great shower! This hotel is in a part of toledo near tons of restaurants, stores, etc overall loved my stay here my only complaint is that the website says heated indoor pool, but it was very cold to the point i just left not sure if that’s everyday/ everyone’s experience but wasn’t a big deal Highly recommend!

Stayed for a night on the way back from Cedar Point The hotel is about what you would expect from a Hampton — clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet, reasonably price The TV in the room is nice, and I appreciate the fridge and the work space

Free hot breakfast in the morning is a huge plus Where this place really shines, however, is the service The staff was so gracious and accommodating at every turn — everyone was exceptionally polite and very pleasant Best of all, though, I was silly enough to leave my laptop at the front desk after checking out and did not realize until I got home hours later I called the front desk and they had it secured for me and shipped out to me within a couple days Best staff I have interacted with in ages Thank you again!

Andrew

If you are looking for a clean hotel with great staff than look no further Was traveling from DC to Illinois and stopped here after reading reviews I didn’t make reservations but they were still able to accommodate me with a room

Room was clean, shower had great pressure and beds were very comfortable Staff was very friendly and gave me a list of local restaurants Free hot continental breakfast is available in the morning Hotel is pet friendly but not sure if they limit pets to certain rooms or floors because my room had no signs of pets

Ty Reed

Stayed here with a group Myself and a couple others in the group said the same thing, the rooms smelled musty Cleanliness was mediocre

Staff were definitely very friendly Pool towels were hard to find Pretty small gym with a treadmill, a few dumbbells, and another machine or two Breakfast is a standard hotel buffet that isn’t great but good enough to fill you up If I was in the area again, I would probably look for another place first, but wouldn’t be opposed to staying here

My Husband and I stayed here during Our trip to see Corey Holcomb at the Funny Bone and it was a very pleasant Stay! The Staff was very friendly Even when I called to make the Reservations they were very helpful and informative When We arrived the Hotel was very nice and clean

Our Room was very nice and clean as well Breakfast was good also I would definitely recommend them for Your future Stay!

Aimee Turcotte

It was a nice well groomed/manicured hotel, but overpriced for the room Comfy bed But, no free breakfast for $235? Even some free cereal or muffins? Then maybe extra if you want a hot breakfast?Hotel was hard to find at 1am

There were signs, but they were not lighted signs The hotel is tucked back in a corner in shopping area, so it was difficult to see street signs & I was the passenger helping to navigate (it’s like a parking lot, not streets), even with GPS

Donna Cuffy

Did a digital check in, only to go to our room that hadn’t been cleaned and smelled badWent to take a shower, and the shower pull handle came off in my hand Turned on the hot water in the sink, and it came off in my hand

I’ve never stayed in a Hilton with this experience Rooms not cleaned unless you’re staying five days, is ridiculous Charge less and I’d expect less I can’t recommend this hotel The best part of this hotel, was not being in it

We booked two rooms that were adjoining so we could easily help our kids with our grandkids But, the doors that made the rooms adjoining were extremely heavy and slammed shut automatically, and could not be held open This was extremely hazardous for toddlers and their tiny hands and fingers

Furthermore, if the door could be propped open all the way, the front door was blocked and could not be opened, which would be a fire hazard As a result, the convenience that we had hoped for from the adjoining rooms was eliminated and actually made the stay more stressful for fear of injury The property is definitely showing its age It was reasonably clean, but the policy is for housekeeping to service the room only every 4 days, so don’t expect housekeeping The hot tub and pool were marginal in cleanliness, there were dirty towels and items lying around the pool, and the pool was very cold The staff was friendly enough Finally, it was definitely not worth the over $200/night/room we paid We have been Hilton Honors members for 30 years and have stayed in Hilton properties around the world, and for that price, we expected a far nicer experience This was probably the worst Hilton property we have ever stayed in, and needless to say, we will never be staying there again There are nicer, newer, hotels in the same area for less money

Jane Anderson

We were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get to the hotel The staff was friendly and check-in was super easy We called ahead for early check-in and as promised our room was ready

The fitness center was excellent Free weights in good sizes, treadmills and stationary bikes in perfect working condition The breakfast was the best of any we’ve had for awhile The only things to improve on: they didn’t tell me how to login to wifi or the password and there were no towels or cleaning wipes in the fitness center

Tonya Causley-Ingram

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE Dirty non-operating hot tub/pool Continental breakfast was not available as promised

We came down at 9:30am to nothing (supposed to be available at 10am) HUGE party altercation happening in room next door with hours going by before it was addressed after calling the front desk in fear for our safety to only get a busy single for an hour, after finally reaching them the eviction from the room next door finally happened THIS took another hour WE WERE KEPT AWAKE UNTIL 4:55AM This was a dangerous situation for the entire hotel, guests and our family with a room on 2nd floor were disturbed as it was that loud and out of control We left messages, emails, and a complaint to the front desk with NO Communication on any of our complaints 4 days later NEVER AGAIN AND WE DESERVED communication Really disappointing

This hotel is in serious need of a remodel Ripped lampshades and carpet, peeling stained and dirty wallpaper, small TVs, and scuzzy showers I scheduled my checkin online for 3pm and our room wasn’t ready until after 4

Staff very friendly, but I feel that they are either short staffed or under prepared for busy weekends This hotel is not exactly in a booming area, located north of Toledo, just south of the state line Doubt I would stay again unless they renovate

Jamie Wyss

This hotel is very poorly mismanaged I rented a conference room for a work meeting, the facilities were lacking and didn’t receive an invoice that day as I was told they couldn’t bill the room that day Not a huge deal, called a few weeks later and got the invoice

Then the next month I see I have two charges for the room, after countless calls, being told I booked two rooms when I did not, and being told only one person could help me I didn’t have the issue resolved Finally after a week of calls I finally get the manager Scott on the phone and he hung up on me Totally unprofessional and honesty the worst experience I have ever had with at any hotel I recommend finding somewhere else to make sure you don’t have to deal with a similar issue

This hotel was perfect for our one night getaway The hotel itself and the rooms are very nice and we had a nice view of the river from our room While the lobby bar was closed, they offered complimentary sangria and coffee in the lobby which was a lovely touch

I was happy to see that the bathroom in our room had a magnified lighted mirror (since I am very nearsighted and use one at home) but I was surprised that the bathroom lacked certain amenities such as makeup remover or shower capsSince the parking situation is only valet (and $22 per night) and it was very cold, we decided to eat at The Heights in the hotel With everything else in the hotel being closed, it was crowded, but the food was very good

Leah Reinwald

Very nice, updated, clean hotel in an awesome location The girls at the front desk were welcoming, on top of things, and good at communicating The hotel staff were very accommodating- late at night we wanted to heat up food so I called the desk to see if they had a microwave I could go use, but within 2 minutes they brought an actual microwave TO our room!We wanted to stay in and eat dinner at the hotel but the heights was closed due to a bridal shower, and the main floor restaurant was temporarily closed which was a bummer

On a busy weekend around checkout time, expect to wait a while to get your car from valet We waited over 30 minutes so call ahead or plan accordingly The valet staff were very considerate and hard working, thoughKind of a downside that Marriott does not include wifi or parking into the cost of your room Still would gladly return to this hotel, would be great in the summer along the river 😁

Tonya Strazdins

The hotel offers valet parking which was convenient when checking in Quick & easy check-inOur room was clean, cozy & spacious

It had a nice view of the riverWe had some appetizers and drinks at “The Heights” which is one of the few places to grab a bite conveniently located within the hotel Drinks, food & service were fabulous! It was a great experience and highly recommended

First and foremost, the staff were incredibly helpful and courteous My stay was a last minute thing and I had nothing with me They gave me directions to local food and stores

Thank you ladies, you were pleasant and a great helpThe room was comfortable and modern There was a microwave and mini-fridge as well Bed was clean and comfortableI don’t have any real complaints except their breakfast sandwiches were $9 and $10 I guess I’m cheap, but that seems a little expensive for me I just got coffee to goThey also allowed me to use their safe to store items Thanks again

Alyssa Cole

My Family and I were visiting Toledo for the first time and stayed at the Courtyard-we loved it! We really enjoyed the amenities especially the outdoor patio space and the Starbucks coffee bar The room was clean, up to date, and when we needed extra towels they came right away The hotel is also right near a ton of stores, restaurants, and is right off the highway so the location is very central to everything you would need

We definitely would stay here againOnly thing that prevented me from saying 5 stars is there is no free breakfast and with the price you would expect that-most hotels offer it

Out of the other two hotels we stayed in Oregon( Hampton and Holiday Inn) this was the best of all No issues We will definitely be staying here again and wished we picked this for our longer stays in Oregon, we stayed only for two nights

Great welcoming friendly staffs Clean building, checked in late parking lot was bright good lights, Lobby and hallways clean, hot breakfast, breakfast ladies and front desk lady were kind and friendly, and the coffee was good and lots of variety for creamers to syrups Our room was clean, bathroom clean, clean freezer and fridge, comfortable clean bed, clean carpet, there’s extra pillow and comforter in closet, bowl and utensil we used was clean as well in our room I wish I took pics before getting settled in but I got a few before our check out Highly recommend when staying in Oregon Ohio Oh and I loved the smell of the scent of the body soap etc 🙂

Recently had a house fire and the insurance company put us at this location It was convenient because it was near our home and for general access to food and other needed items, you’ll find it all from this location The breakfast is good and they have a waffle maker, which I used every day

We were here damn near a month Head housekeeper was very accommodating and nice Manager / owner? was also cool

I was really impressed with this hotel overall We stayed two nights with our 4 year old daughter and dog The rooms are really thoughtfully designed to maximize the use of space and provide tons of function

We stayed in a room with a king bed, pull out bed sofa, and full kitchen (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, sink) The tv is wall mounted and can be angled to the bed or sofa There was a very large closet with motion sensor lights and a closet organizational system that was amazing There are books by the door for coats and purses There was tons of counter space, shelving, and cabinets for storage The bathroom was large with a huge shower with glass doors The bed was comfortable but I’m not a fan of feather pillows and that was all that was provided They just go so flat There front desk has a small selection of drinks, snacks, and travel items for sale The free breakfast was good both mornings with adequate options The dining area is really comfortable and enjoyable The indoor pool was clean with large, comfortable loungers, towels, and a bathroom attached The water could have been warmer but it was tolerable My only real criticism was that the art in the rooms and hallways was strange and looked like an intern with photoshop designed it all One was photos of succulents pasted on top of newspapers and highly pixelated from being blown up I don’t get it

We loved Linda! She was very sweet and helpful I was very disappointed that the daytime lady was only helpful after she realized I was hurt No interest in room service or simply giving us fresh linens until then

Only was able to use the jacuzzi the first night because I was physically incapable of cleaning it out myself or able to purchase any cleaning supplies? They were to busy to do those things The room was quite comfortable but we found another hotel nearby where I didn’t feel like a burden to ask for the room service or tidying Probably a great place for a 1 or 2 night stay I don’t recommend for traveling workers though

The guy that checked us in was nice but gave us no information about breakfast, check in/out times or directions to the room Yes, we’re adults and can figure it out but it was just an odd start The jacuzzi in the room was the reason we chose that particular hotel and it was the only nice part of the stay

It even had a sprayer to rinse off and rinse out the tub when done The design of the room was unique and small but adequate However the toilet sounded like it was running continuously They said they would have someone look into it but we never heard anything Sometime early afternoon the smell of some kind of air freshener became so overwhelming we decided to go purchase a fan for the smell and the noise of the toilet When the key card to get in the hotel didn’t work we asked about it and their excuse was that it was necessary to keep the fire alarm from going off because of all the people that used to smoke in the hotel The smell of mold/mildew was obvious in the stairwell and probably due to a fire alarm system going off which would explain the paper they made us sign at check in that we won’t smoke or even use a candle or vape in the room Check out time was 11:00 and at 10:20 housekeeping knocked on the door to check and see who was still there since checkout was at 11 This is not a place I would recommend, especially if you have a sensitivity to strong odors and lack of quality customer service

Great location but the bathroom had not been cleaned properly The tub was clogged, so by the end of our showers it was full of water The bottom of the toilet seat had a significant amount of debris on it that seemed to have not been cleaned for weeks

We told the front desk in the morning, but they didn’t seem to care so we didn’t press the issue As I was checking out, another customer also told them about a dead light in his room that had been broken when he had arrived Most reviews for this place are great Maybe there has been a change in staff?
