The location here is the best, you’re right in the middle of the strip You’re able to walk to many restaurants and entertainment The beach is also stunning here, very clean and beautiful clear water

I understand that many of the rooms had already been renovated but the one that we were in had not The televisions were from 2007 so you cannot stream anything – huge bummer! Our bathroom caulk was moldy and unset, the shower curtain did not contain the water so we were sopping up water after every shower The door handles in the main bathroom and guest bedroom were broken so they did not latch/lock properly These were minor inconveniences The biggest issues we had were noise and cleanliness The doors slamming, balcony and front doors woke us up at all hours of the night, it was tough to get a good sleep here The hallway floors, every window, balconies/railings and doors were all filthy, it looked like a dump! A power washer could make a world of difference The pool deck was very dirty, the hot tub was gross, the pier to walk down to the beach is in definite need of some maintenance We stayed with friends who had booked this through the Wyndham timeshare they really struggled dealing with getting answers to questions and solutions to problems We enjoyed our stay because of the company we were with, the location of the resort, and the beautiful beach but this place needs better management

I am so sad that I have to write this review about the Emerald Beach resort because we have visited this place for years and it has always been – – longer than wished for elevator waits but understandable for the number of people that can stay here However; our last trip in June of 2022 left us not only upset but very tired as we departed there are 8 elevators at this facility but only 4 are in operation and the day we were leaving only 2 was running

we stood at the elevator for 2 hours before I finally gave up and toted all of our luggage and other gear down 15 flights of stairs which took several trips to make this was not isolated everyone at the resort was complaining and the frustration was causing all of the guests to take it out on each other meaning everyone acting in a rude manner The employees were trying to do all that they could were as accommodating as much as possible so this apparently is an issue of upper management aside from the elevators there were other items that needed repairs, beach walkway lighting beach entrance doors towel racks in the room and behind the bunk beds was extremely nasty with a lot of old food and other items that you could tell had been there and had been collecting for a very long time I will say all of the employees there were extremely nice but you could tell that their hands are tied with a lot of maintenance decisions We received a call the day before checkout suggesting that we load our vehicles on the prior night to avoid elevator congestion but we nor anyone else do this because everywhere you turn there are signs stating that you are responsible for your personal property that is stolen and advises not to leave anything in your vehicles with that being said, there is not increased security so no one is going to take a chance on their valuables being hauled off well i guess since i have talked about all of the wrong we ran into on the good side is that the employees are really nice, great views and access to the beach awesome pools but a bit overcrowded, they do have a rooftop pool that has been closed for over 10 years but if opened would help We stay at a lot of Whyndam resorts but sadly we will not be back to this facility until the elevator issue is resolved

Funny gall

We had a great room,I mean there was sum bugs in the room to start out with but we were on the 1st floor so I’m not surprised The service was also really good they have really hard working people at that condo that give out great service Like at Starbucks, sunstations, and Hershey’s

And they also give out great service whenever it comes to delivering something to your door Like tissues,or towels The location was Amazing, this is because you have an amazing view of the ocean, and also most of the stores are right there at the condo so you could just walk to them For Example, “Alvin’s island” Overall this is a great place to stay if visiting

We travel a lot so my expectations may be different from others We stayed for two nights and on the first floor Pros are Hotel is in a great location

Staff was friendly Breakfast was continental with hot eggs, sausage, and waffles Rooms are spacious with a sleep sofa and had a refrigerator and microwave ConsHotel and rooms needs updating and I am guessing they are doing renovations because there was a sign in the lobby Looks like cleaning of room was rushed Tub, toilet and sink was clean except there was hair on the floor in the bathroom and doorway of room There was some strands of hair on top of the bed, curtains had some stains on them and was falling off rod, and the floor had a few stains Room smelled musty, not of mold or mildew though Walls had patches and needs painting I had to wipe down the side of the nightstand it was nasty and looks like something wasted and it was never cleaned Glad I always bring my disinfectant wipes and spray to sanitize myself! Once I sprayed Lysol it smelled a little better in the room Beds are comfortable and TV was a nice size Overall our stay was ok, but I wouldn’t stay again unless it is fully renovated

Weston Little

The place did seem to be nice and clean Our air conditioner in our room was one of the worst I’ve ever had, it MIGHT keep the room from heating up to 90 degrees but it’s definitely not going to keep the room cool like it should That was a huge problem for me and we did not have a single solid charging port in our room

There was two that we found that would at least connect power, but they constantly disconnected and reconnected which will destroy your phones battery

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here The rooms were a little dated, but very clean and the view from our room 1024 was fantastic! Bobby at the front desk was just wonderful to work with and was so nice to us as it was our anniversary He is a great asset to the hotel staff! The concert on Saturday night with Deana Carter was most enjoyable! Food prices were a bit high at the resort but I guess that is to be expected – you have to pay to see the water! Not many walkable food choices around so the hotel got much of our business

All the staff were very friendly and helpful Cheyenne online answered many questions cheerfully Gary the shuttle driver to the parking lot was a really fun and friendly guy to have around – we appreciated him too All in all a great stay at this resort

Rebecca Poor

Perfect family beach resort! Rooms were comfortable Have an acean front balcony was wonderful The gigantic palm tree was a slight bummer but we could see the ocean to the left of it

The pool area may be the best I have seen with a large heated pool, children’s splash area and lazy river They work hard to keep this place clean and they do a fantastic job of it Our kids absolutely loved this hotel! Added bonus – Live entertainment throughout the day all week Pizzas are amazing and the best deal on property Otherwise, food is unbelievably overpricedSadly, Bar staff is terribleI mean absolutely terrible but I won’t let that ruin my experience for the hotel If I were reviewing the bar, it would be a 1 at best Bring your own drinks and let them enjoy talking to one another and ignoring the customers Enjoy!

Kelley Menjibar

I can’t begin to tell you how privileged we were to win a beach trip here by listening to 957 The Mix It was worth every second

My 2 year old did not stop smiling and laughing The staff go way above and beyond The food was delicious The entertainment was the BEST! There is always something for the kiddos to do The best beach access The attentiveness of the employees was the best I’ve ever seen ❤️ My brother in law is visiting from Guatemala and was able to communicate with all of the staff who are bilingual We could not have asked for a better vacation This is kind of resort where you get your money’s worth and you can easily stay all week and never go out There is always something going on

Melissa was great I believe she is one of the Managers She made things quick and was friendly with great customer service

The hotel is in great walking distance The down side was the stuffy rooms, gloomy dark hallways and the lack of cleaning to the pool The room was decent and better than most hotel beaches but can stand for improving on cleaniness and updates

Julius Burton

Me and my family had a fair time there Cool room, stylish and comfortable Excellent hot breakfast and not to mention right in the heart of all the entertainment and only minutes away from the beach

However, the only reason I’m giving 3 stars is customer service Upon checking in, a few of the customer service staff seemed very rude and I noticed one was silently saying ugly things about my wife but thought I wasn’t noticing which was very unprofessional and childish And just didn’t feel accepted Just wanted to relax and enjoy our stay, but all is well So, our experience anyway sure everyone else’s are differentbut not sure if in town again probably won’t be our first choice is all

Jasmine Jones

Such a disappointing experience My fiancé and I added 2 extra days to our trip last minute so we stayed here our last two days, while there I was verbally and almost physically attacked by a front desk employee while trying to fix a problem they created by charging me twice for the same stay She even went as far as to call me “stupid”, which is completely ludicrous for that to leave a customer service rep’s mouth in the presence of customers no less

When I reached out to the front desk manager, who witnessed the altercation, nothing was done even after the front desk manager agreed that her employees behavior was out of line I then reached out the the hotel manager which was useless seeing as he never even bothered to get back to me If you’re looking for a pleasant vacation this is not the place to go The beginning days of our trip we’re wonderful and stress free because we did NOT stay at this location If I could give negative stars to this location it would be well deserved

This place was absolutely beautiful!! We had one of the condos for one week, they made our stay amazing! The condo was beautiful, beachfront 23rd floor the view was breathe taking, they called us twice while we were there to ask how everything was and to make sure we were having a good time! The grill did not work but we didn’t care! I definitely give it 5 stars and recommend it to anyone!

I would not stay here again we stayed in room 1407 When you receive the info and code to apartment door it specifically says code won’t work until 4:00 We arrived at around 1:30 went and did some grocery shopping waiting for 4:00pm

Once it was 4 we headed to the apartment, to our surprise it was not cleaned blankets and towels all over the floor Housekeeping had gotten in maybe 5 minutes before we did and they were telling us if we could go hang out at the beach until they finished cleaning We waited outside in the balcony and it took them 30 min to clean When they left lady told me towels were drying to get them out when they were done, had to run dryer like 2 more times to get towels dry After they had cleaned it smelled like they used an old mop, dirty water They didn’t even clean the toilets they were very nasty Someone said management would get in touch with me and never did

Holly Saunders

Great place to bring your family The pool area felt a bit crowded at times but it still had a clean, family atmosphere There is an open snack bar at the pool and a drink vending machine as well

The elevator took forever though We waited for over 10 minutes before I decided to take the stairs to the 14th floor But those 10 minutes weren’t wasted! I got to hear the local lore of elevatorthey say that the contractors forgot to put the other ones in Said they didn’t realize until it was too late and just said “oh well!” Lol But overall the place is wonderful!

Reception and housekeeping employees are very nice They are refreshing the building, which is a good thing – new flooring and painting, etcA little bit older hotel that fits the bill

Rooms and beds are nice Clean and comfortable Bathroom is still dated and a bit roughPool with deck overlooking the beachNoise easily travels directly through the windows and door Soundproofing insulation or new multi-pane windows might helpGreat location, right on the beach and near plenty of dining, drinking and entertainment options within walking distanceMost parking is directly across the street But there are a few spots along the front with some registration/unloading slotsJust wish they had an ice machine for guests They do have bagged ice for sale, if you want that much ice

lisa marie

I have been going to PCB for years, and stayed at numerous hotels of the years I was thoroughly impressed with the Flamingo Our room was clean, and had everything we needed

The room was very quaint, and very clean, great view of the gulf and the beach Bed very comfortable, plenty of towels, and the staff, from front desk, to housekeeping super friendly, and accomodating You can tell they were working hard on upgrades, and sprucing the place up during the off season getting ready for summer We will never stay any where else You will not be sorry if you stay here

Ashley Schaefer

We loved our stay here during spring break! We finally found a hotel that is clean, honest and friendly We were so appreciative and grateful we were able to bring our dogs here too We had a beautiful, clean room with a view! The complimentary breakfast was very nice as well

Everyone was so friendly We loved being so close to the beach and the pool was also a plus We will be back at this hotel and would recommend staying here!

Leigh Ann Dewey

I really wanted to love it here while I was in town for work Travis at the front desk was GREAT, breakfast is good and changes daily, and The Lobby has excellent food and drinks The bad: My mini fridge froze up daily

There wasn’t a dial inside to turn the temp down I lost almost a weeks worth of perishable food I had for lunches at work, because it was all warm when I returned after work Maintenance came in and pulled the fridge out and turned a dial in the back It started working again but barely I ended up filling the bathroom sink with ice to keep my drinks cool for the rest of the trip I went down to the freezer to get something to eat because the Lobby was closed, and it was empty! One elevator was out of service my whole stay, so mornings were faster to take the stairs The room smelled faintly like mildew and the carpet was just moist, all the time I ended up purchasing some dryer sheets from downstairs to just leave open to mask the smell I’ve never stayed at a hotel on the beach with carport before The walkway to the parking garage also had no AC and was 100° during the day Having to eat out here twice daily is expensive during the summer season, and very busy, but I didn’t have a choice after having to throw away my groceries

John Emerson

My wife and I are here celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary! The staff could not be any nicer and cordial to make our stay memorable The view from our room 525 was spectacular The rooms are really nice and the king size bed was comfortable

Breakfast was great! Something different every morningCheryl is an absolute gem! So much positivity and energy ! A blessing to meet her We will definitelybe back!

Absolutely fantastic resort experience Forget about cookie cutter condos stacked to the sky with no outside amenities other than a balcony and crowded pool Horizon South offers a village type layout similar to apartment complexes with a private patios on many of the units, 4 pools, a hot tub, workout facility, mini-golf course, shuffleboard decks, a basketball court, 2 tennis courts, and even a pool table

They have community rooms for parties and plenty of open area for walking pets or just walking/running or bicycling without having to leave the resortThe beach is literally right across Front Beach Road at the scenic entrance with a restraint next door and the Sandpiper Resorts famous Tiki Bar also across the street on the beachside There is also an exit to Highway 98 or “Backbeach Road” for a convenient, more accessible route to other parts of the city’s attractions like Pier Park which is literally 5 mins away It’s location convenience yields a stress free vacation away from the noise and bustle, but only minutes from anything and everything the beaches and area have to offer You can’t go wrong here I have been enjoying this spot for over 20 years as a visitor and resident of the resort and have never had a negative experience

#609‐ Most comfortable beds EVER!!! We are frequent travelers and the beds in both rooms were super (I stripped the bed just to find out what brand they were)The kitchen in the condo was well appointed and the over all style/decor was higher end and comfortable The large shaded balcony was cool with plenty of seating options and tables for cocktails

The parking garage provided protection from the sun and weather with a covered walkway to the main building The grounds were impeccable and all staff was welcoming and friendly Michael provided excellent umbrella service for our 10 day stay! This was booked as a last minute trip with friends to escape Ohio’s cold weather None of us had been to Panama City in the past, itis a bit more public than were are usually accustom to With it being the first week in May we were surprised at the volume of people on the beach which certainly did not hinder us enjoying the beach or having a good time Great place to visit if you don’t mind all the people

Brooke Samford

We booked last minute for a weekend trip from 4/15-4/17 and we weren’t let down! The condo we had was beautiful and the view was break taking The pools were amazing and clean! Security is also very tight and keeps things in order by checking guests wristbands and making sure dogs are properly registered (we brought ours so that’s how we know lol) If I have one complaint it would be the parking Guests pay a pretty penny for the condo and then once there, pay another $30 for a parking pass and the space is limited so if you’re out late, you may or may not get a spot

Talen Blackford

The rooms being cramped were both irrelevant, because we spent about 10% of our week in said room, and our fault for having 7 people in our family But other than that the pool, beach, and location were great! I’ve been to only one other location like this, but I feel like I can say that this was a great place to stay, but finding a good parking space in the garage in tower two is a pain, but if you are playing to stay in Panama City Beach, then I highly recommend you choose Grand Panama!

This is a tough review because I cant say there was really anything wrong with the place, but let’s just say my expectations were not quite met

To be clear, this place is a beach-themed MOTEL The rooms are small, the beds are small, and the appliances are super old However, we could walk out of our room door and go right down to the beach from the back patio The beach is beautiful with lots of space and soft sandIf you don’t care much about your room, then this is a perfect spot We were a 5 minute drive from one of the big piers with a great shopping center Had three fantastic dinners within 15 mins drive, and we all had a great timeWe brought two sound machines thank God because it was loud until ~11p and our 5 year old wouldn’t have gone to sleep otherwiseWould I stay there again? Nope, unless I was really stretched on cash, but we still had a great time for 4 days

Laura Shaddix

This is our 3rd stay! Just as we are getting comfortable with this being “our go to place” it has went to mediocre quickly! When we first started coming it was very welcoming and pleasant experienceWe could take advantage of the amenities while we wait on our room, which is amazing! This time we couldn’t do that until 10 o’clockAM The lady that told us this was so dry and said “it’s policy”I get it

That’s fine10AM came so went to check in The lady (different lady) just seemed so miserable! I wonder if she knew that if they didn’t have customers she wouldn’t have a job! She tended to whatever else she had going on with “you have to fill this out to”“I’m almost done and I will finish with you” Used to it was guaranteed a room at 3PM This time it is by 5PM That’s fine 🤷‍♀️ We usually get a room way before the promised time anyway At 1:30PM we casually check to see if they have a room available yet This lady had the nerve to say “did you get a phone call” no “then it’s not ready yet”Sorry sandpiper due to your lack of customer service we will spend $300 a night somewhere that appreciates us and our hard earned money!

mike schellenberger

I only give them 4 stars due to the great price else it would have been a 2 or 3 Our room was very small but not a big deal for me and the wife as all we did was sleep in it The facility is a bit dated but mostly well kept with a ton of things for the family

I can’t believe they did NO room service at all during our 5 night stay I think this may become the norm for many hotels now after the Covid calamity We had a $33 breakfast for 2 at their restaurant across the street, they did have good friendly service and food but out of our price range Again the price made the stay worth it to us at almost half the cost of the big tall beach front conglomerates, we would stay again

Almost everything about our trip was perfect The condo was amazingly clean and updated – just as pictured and described when we booked It had everything we needed for our stay

Everyone was nice and helpful The view was breathtaking We stayed for 4 nights and we were looking forward to using the hot tub Unfortunately, it was always packed with children Their parents didn’t seem to care that others were waiting to enjoy it Sadly, we never had the opportunity to use it

Garrett Hudder

Great place for families between the very nice and spacious rooms and the young children’s water park The gym being only allowed for those 18 and older is somewhat strict as many workout as early as 12-13 The coffee shop was decent in taste but abysmal in price

The grounds themselves are very 90’s-Nickelodeon in terms of decor, and you can tell that it’s starting to wear out it’s stay Still a fantastic resort ON the beach with only aesthetic and amenities related issues

Brandon Johnson

It was good

just not great The room was clean and spacious Broken leg on a nightstand and the Shower Head rigged up in the master shower The building definitely needs some updating, broken tiles and rust are in plain sightnot terrible but noticeable for sure Short walk to the beach is a plus, and the kids loved the pools The pools are mostly shaded which is a good and bad thing I guess The elevator wait times can be annoying during the busier parts of the day Very close to plenty of things to do for the kids and adults Alvin’s Island right across the street is great to stock up on beach supplies The room did come with beach service chairs which was a great plus

We stayed here after fleeing from a disgusting, unsafe VRBO This hotel is EXCELLENT!!! Clean, safe, well run, and prime location The pool was beautiful and enjoyed by my entire family

Beach access is just steps away and was clean You can rent chairs down by the water and relax The free breakfast was delicious Staff was friendly and helpful Parking was very convenient and elevators were quick We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will elect to stay here for any future PCB trips

Everyone was was super friendly! The place is clean and the rooms are comfortable! We upgraded to and ocean view room which was totally worth the cost We were able to watch sunsets and ocean waves! There is a keurig, microwave and small refrigerator in the room One disappointment- Our refrigerator was sporadic, sometimes not cooling well and other times froze our drinks

Breakfast from 6:30-9:300 was excellent Eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt and fruit etc!

Not enough elevators so long waiting to get to lobby, parking, pool, you room which are all on different floor Also there is a contracting company that places chairs and umbrellas in front of the hotel beach area for renting which block all spaces in a row and no room for you to place your own chair or towel The guy is also rude and asks you not to sit in the space in between his chairs

If you sit behind his row of chairs you don’t see the seaI give 2 stars for nice room and breakfast Not much room service Also we had construction painting on the exterior of our room windows and they covered the windows with plastic which blocks entire view we had at floor 12 It was gorgeous view before they block it the second day we were hereOverall for the high price this hotel does not worse it You can get better places with this price that gives you a good luxurious experience you want out of your vacationExcuse typos

This is our 1st and last time staying at Casa Loma I chose Casa Loma because it advertised each room has a balcony view of the oceanThe PROS are:*Good Location

*Beautiful ocean view, our room was on the 3rd floor*The beach wasn’t crowded during our time here (Father’s Day)*The front desk staff and cleaning associates are very nice and helpful* It is a good hotel, if you are budget consciousThe CONS are:*The room is dated*The bathroom shower is discolored and it looks moldy*The air conditioning works but it is extremely loud and blows hot air onto the balcony*The WiFi connection is poor and not reliable*The mattresses are hard*The plumbing hisses when the neighbors take a shower*One of the two drawers for clothing in our room was sealed shut, so I had to keep most of my clothes in my suitcaseOverall, I didn’t hate my stay here but I’ll make a better choice next time

I could not go on about how great this place is! No, it is not as high brow as other places but our room was amazing! Right off the beach Literally As well as the fact I was treated so nicely by the front desk staff

They went above and beyond to make my stay great I would absolutely go back in a heartbeat I wouldn’t bother spending all that extra money and having to deal with extra fees We had a fabulous time

Rooms were kind of dirty/needed updating We had mold in our room Overall it was fine though

it’s a cheap room and you get what you pay for A body did wash up on the beach right across from our room and a guy got hit and died in front of the hotel on our last night They need better lighting obviously out front so drivers and other people can see where they’re going and stay safe
