My stay was a little under three weeks This place is a tale of two cities I realized after some time that this location is definitely in a transitional phase

I saw another comment that perhaps it was a different motel before and was taken over by Comfort InnSo let me start with the Positive: The bed is a dream Very comfortable The wifi was perfect Good place to do online work actually as there is a nice desk and comfy work chair Washer/dryer/gym/business center (in lobby) on site Very clean and sanitized The gym had the most essential equipment needed I really don’t think the gym is getting much use anyway so don’t think anyone has to worry about germs The cleaning lady told me they come in and sanitize at 830am every morning Washer and dryer clean and dry perfectly There is a pool, but did not use it Also there is continental breakfast with some basic choices The next day after checking in the parking lot was fully repaved The ladies who do housekeeping are the golden queens of this places Some clean better than others of course, but they are there early keeping up the whole facility and cleaning service is everyday I am always sure to show them respect The price is pretty good but I guess it would be since there is a lot of transitioning going on The room as a whole has luxury style upgrades but over patchwork plaster where there still needs to be some painting done There is an old mixed with new feel But generally the room had a homely feel Microwave and larger fridge was very niceOkay so the disadvantages Like I said the price is good for all that is offered on site, and if you are going to stay now just know that changes are being made The crowd is a mixed bag Sometimes it is very quiet and then at night it can get a little noisy It seems to me that a Code of Conduct needs to be strictly enforced There were a lot of people not respecting rules adults and kids alike I was gone for one night visiting my sister and came back the next night to find that my room had flood and the tub was filled with black water It was also the room below me that was damaged as well Thankfully the worker that night did the right thing by moving me to another room that was very close No issues with the second room Also one night was discounted for the mishap and all was fine at checkout Customer service needs a lot of help Water pressure in shower could be more

Four stars because the rooms, lobby and breakfast room are very clean and modern The hotel has clearly been updated It’s an older place

The amenities in the room are very good I was particularly pleased with the larger refrigerator with a good sized freezer Free hot breakfast is available until 10 am Plentiful hot breakfast sausage, scrambled eggs (probably powdered eggs), boiled eggs, waffles, bagels, bread and a toaster, oranges and bananas The breakfast room requires key entry and is small, so consider taking breakfast back to your room if there are no tables availableStaff is friendly and very helpful

This hotel was good for us because the room was clean The bed was very comfortable The air conditioning worked like a charm at 38 degrees Celsius

There was lots of food stores in very close proximity and even a Walgreens The pool was small and had some bugs in it but when it’s that hot you love it anyways The staff were friendly The breakfast was lacking, super small room with only a couple tables, scrambled eggs, tiny sausage patties, cold cereal, tiny muffins, fruit, and waffle iron There is a denny’s down the street

Very typical Embassy Suites experience, albeit the room I had during my stay could have been better maintained One of the towel hooks was loose and the bathtub drain could neither be stopped so as to fill the tub nor easily kept fully open so that water wouldn’t pool while taking a showerAlso the breakfast lacked an omelette bar, which was mildly disappointing

The free drinks during the “happy hour” were limited to two from a very small selection The only beer was bud lightOtherwise, service was great and the hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and shops and easy to access for transportation

Benicio Navaira

The rooms are spacious, big beds There is a small safe, and refrigerator The rooms have a better build, you don’t hear other people in the next room as loudly

As other hotels The staff was very friendly, and helpful they knew when to talk to you And when you don’t expect to be bothered It’s a good location close to stores and places to restaurants It’s also well guarded, people that have no business being here, stay off the property If you’re worried about safety, it’s very safe

Rick Sch

Hotel was nice, and clean AC really struggled to keep room cool, didn’t seem to be pushing much air And not sure why they only have 3 luggage cards in such a large hotel as almost everyone was commenting on why this was an issue for the outing guests

Other than that food Good Pool good, would come back if those 2 areas improve as wasn’t bad otherwise

I’m only giving one star because I can’t give zero My entire stay at this hotel was terrible from start to end When we first arrived we were given a room that was not cleaned

We walked in and the room was turned upside down The new room we were given was across from a gas station so it was loud all night We were told we have to request 24hrs prior for our room to be cleaned or towels I scheduled for fresh towels and never received them When I called to inquire I was told we were never added to the list The rooms were poorly light The air conditioner also broke in the middle of the night All of these combined made the hotel stay bad However the icing on the cake was when someone came into my room without permission Our suitcases were ransacked Personal items pulled out Jewelry gone through and $100 stolen I immediately reported this to the front desk A “report” was taken and I was told to expect a follow up call Saturday When I called to follow up the manager on duty had no idea of my complaint and I now I have to wait until Monday for the general manager to investigate The hotel employees are thieves and the management is awful A trip ruined by their lack of service Never go here unless you want to be robbed!

Highly recommend this location Then only reason for loosing a star is no real blankets and the hours for cafe etc are not the best Great staff , nice facility and great location

Some things are really dated but understand that with the way things are resources are limited We have stayed multiple times and will definitely be back especially because we get to bring our fur baby with us and the great restaurants, bars and shops walking distance away Highly recommend

Stephanie S

1st room we were given has wet red spots all over the carpet Looked like they tried cleaning it but it was really wet still The ac was horrible and the room was just dirty looking

We asked for a different room and that room was great Not sure why they still book people in a dirty room with no ac when they have others available Also had to get the bill adjusted because they charged for parking when the site we booked on said free parking Pool is not as amazing as pictures make it out to be BUT great location within walking distance to lots of restaurants

Very comfortable rooms with excellent service overall The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is because when we checked in the room had not been cleaned properly There was spilled rice on the carpet and a light bulb missing in a lamp

This was promptly fixed but it makes one wonder about attention to detail as this is not a cheap hotel For the rest of our stay the housekeeping was excellent We found the valet service quite fast and enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast

Aron Hughes

If you are visiting the LA area and are looking for a safe and comfortable stay than this is a solid optionYou are going to get the amenities that you need (unless you need dry cleaning on Memorial Day weekend)The rooms were standard with a mostly clean facilities

The bed and pillows were not the most comfortableStaying here requires you to Valet park your car every time which can get annoying if you are in and out like we wereThe restaurant serves basics for high prices and it would be beneficial to go out for breakfast or dinnerAlthough they state the coffee cart is open at 6, we were unable to get coffee in the morning before heading to DisneylandMy suggestion would be stay here if you need a comfortable and affordable option

Lauree martin

This Hilton might be the worst Hilton you can stay at The hotel is loud, dirty, and has homeless people hanging out inside The staff is some of the rudest people I have ever experienced at any hotel

The rooms are old, dirty, and small; you can hear everything outside your room all night The breakfast that was once free now is not, the valet is expensive, and it takes about 45min to get your car I’ve had better experiences at a Motel 6 Save your time and money and stay anyplace but here

I was having trouble finding a hotel that would accommodate an early morning meeting I would be having via Zoom I was traveling with my family and didn’t want to wake them up by taking it in my room After looking into multiple hotels in the area, this was the first one that told me I could use a conference room without any issues even though it would be just myself using the room

The staff was super helpful (dealt with multiple staff members) and friendly the entire stayThe beds are comfortable and the rooms are “roomy” 😁 The only semi-issue I had was that the room wasn’t completely clean, but it was clean enough

Brandon Ford

The rooms were small, but super clean and well kept The location is PERFECT and there are very many good restaurants, bars, freeways, coffee shops, places to shop, etc

in the area The staff was super accommodating and said “hello” or “good morning” whenever you went bye They had drinks, snacks, and beer available for you downstairs Had a good breakfast and coffee in the morning Nice lounge area to chill if you needed to be out of your room or a place to eat your own food TV’s were accessible as well I wish they would return to regular room service Scheduling I’m advance can be a pain, but it’s easy to work with them on that

Eydie C.H

This was my second visit booked a room for 5 days as I was a guest here In August 2021 for about 4 days Things changed a bit and mostly had to do with my allergies to dogs I felt like perhaps they should have a separate area are floor for dogs Management showed some understanding but besides the dogs I felt that the hotel could use some sprucing my carpet was stained and the Aggie of the property was beginning to show

The bed was comfy and staff was friendly Location was good because you could walk to Metro!

The internet was very slow, but everything else was great Easy parking, nice rooms, easy access to the city, good hot breakfastSolis (spelling?) was amazing! We ate breakfast all 3 mornings and she was just so friendly and welcoming to me and my family

We couldn’t help but be in a good mood during and after breakfast She asked about our trip and gave us some tips for the beach and things to do Sometimes hotel staff can be cranky and she was the furthest thing from that I had a great stay and she made it even better!

David Barrio

Reasonable and standard rooms Has two closets for the 2 queen bed Towels are small, and thin

Toilet is powerful but loud AC works well, but make sure to move the curtains behind it so that the cold reaches the room Beds comfortable, but if you have people getting up a lot at night it will make noise Never heard neighbors, so I assume that the walls are fairly soundproof Never heard the freewayBreakfast was pretty good, standard continental stuff Eggs a little too salty Very nice breakfast attendant Not many locations to walk to Has a pool, but I never used itOverall an above average hotel, and I would recommend it

Leslie Spencer

If you’ve been in Southern California this last week of June, you know how horrifically hot it’s been Unfortunately, the power had gone out two days in a row in Altadena, and I couldn’t take the heat/lack of electricity anymore Especially since the outage repair had no definite end in sight

Rather than remain cranky, I opted for some self care and booked a last-minute room at the Best Western Pasadena Royale Inn & Suites Check-in was smooth and my room was clean and comfortable I swam in the sparkling clean pool for the remaining hour it was open Beyond grateful for cold, effective air conditioning, I slept peacefully the entire nightBreakfast service was what made my experience at the Best Western stellar Elise was on duty, and she is extraordinary Her enthusiasm, attentiveness, positivity and friendliness is absolutely genuine You can tell she enjoys interacting with the guests In fact, all the staff I encountered went out of their way to ensure I had a good experienceThank you, Best Western, for helping me cool off, relax, sleep well and smile the next day

We had a good stay here The rooms were clean and aside from road noise the place was fairly quiet We arrived after midnight and the parking lot was full but the lady at the front desk (forgot her name) offered a reasonable solution to park somewhere where if needed I’d have to move my car which was no problem with me

Also the front desk lady was very friendly and welcoming The rooms were nice and included a fridge, microwave, hair dryer and coffee There was plenty of room for clothing storage There were plenty of outlets and charging ports which sometimes can be hard to find at older places but not here I’ll be looking forward to my next stay here when I’m in the area Thank you

krampus

Quite literally the rudest staff I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with Found myself in a situation where I needed lodging for the night This place had good reviews (which I’m convinced are shills) and decent rates- that’s all I needed for the time

Online we saw there were a few rooms available Decided to go take a look because we were only 15 minutes awayCalled the front desk from inside the hotel parking lot to book for the night, was told “do it online, we don’t do it over the phone or walk-ins”…okay why?Went online to book (still in the parking lot) and now it was listed as zero room availabilityCalled front desk again, asked why she didn’t express that they were booked before telling me to book onlineWas told this time that they were at full capacity WRONG Went to another booking site and found vacancy, which I immediately bookedWent inside to get the key and was told that my roommate couldn’t park in the lot, only one car allowed, despite the rooms all meant for 2 The place wasn’t even fullThe Hindu couple at the check in desk were straight up RUDE and aggressive Locked me out of the lobby, now I’m in the parking lot WITH a reservation and im locked out without a keySo business partner called the desk (still in the parking lot) Was given excuse after excuse, my favorite being that they had 10 other check ins for the night scheduled to arrive (mind you this was 11:00pm at this point)I explained that nowhere on the booking sites does it stipulate only one car is permitted, she pointed to a sign at the desk and says “it’s right here”…etf good is that? Y’all only take online reservations, it doesn’t take a genius to see the inherent flaw of that logicTold partner that there was no management to speak with (even tho the lady had told me that she was the mgr)Spent another hour trying to get a refund so I could get going and find a place to stay before midnight at leastThe attitude was mind boggling, I’m no Karen but wow! Never experienced such poor and downright rude customer service anywhere in my travelsAdditionally, the place looked like garbage, the lobby was nice but that’s clearly a facade Was willing to settle because it was late but after they pulled all the bs, I left and stayed at the Ramada- same rate, mucho better accommodationsI’m convinced the majority of these reviews are shills, there is NO WAY a legit business could have such positive reviews with Habeeb and Anita at the helm…like no chance If I was the owner, I would be furious to learn my guests were being treated in such a unprofessional mannerDon’t believe the reviews, this place is sketch Glad they didn’t get a single rupee from meAvoid like the plague

Had a wonderful stay here My room (executive king with daybed) was up to date, clean, and comfortable There was a great view, and a useful shade system to filter or block the sun

Room layout was spacious and convenient for work, and the bathroom had plenty of counter space There’s a lovely courtyard where you can sit outside with a fire pit at night There are also nice indoor common areas 10-15 min walk from great restaurants and Old Pasadena Will definitely stay again

Kirk Robinson

Stayed for a weekend, it was a decent experienceHad a couple rooms booked, so the connecting room was great Beds comfortable, mini fridge was useful for storing stuff

Rooftop pool was alright not very deep and felt surrounded by concrete so not really much ambiance That said, the kids had a great time cooling off and if you can snag one of the cabana style areas all the better Gym was pretty nice here too a couple Peloton bikes too 🚲I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here, but it was a decent stay

David Adams

We really enjoyed our stay However, there were a couple of issues The restroom has no exhaust fan, and the AC won’t cool below 76 degrees

Even when the thermostat is set lower it clicks off well above the set temperature The windows are also thin and you can hear people talking on the street even 8 floors upThat said, the staff was very friendly, the location beautiful, and the pool and gym were excellent

Location was quite and safe Room was spacious , bed and sofa were comfy Tv channels were really good

Coffee was a plus We needed laundry , reception helped us to use the laundry of neighbor hotel with which they had agreement Reception helped us by check-in and Ac replacement It was very good to be able to open windows in the room to get fresh airAir condition was very noisy, 1st night hardly slept but the mechman has replaced a new Ac in 20 min Breakfast could be maybe better Breakfast area hardly enough

Zakwan Nasser

Priced well and located near the mall and other major stores Only half an hour away from the heart of LA Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is they don’t provide housekeeping services on weekends

Although not the biggest issue, staying for 4 days (3 nights), housekeeping is sometimes desired on at least one of those days However, they do provide extra towels or toiletries, but you have to go to the front desk to request them, which was fortunately easy and convenient They also offer a slightly later checkout at noon which was a major plus

We had a great stay at this hotel, however there was a few things that made us not want to give It a full 5 stars The service was great and the rooms were clean However, the card access for the stairs did not work, several times, and since we had to park in the back due to lack

of parkin gout front this was the most convenient access door Not a huge inconvenience but I figured I would note it in the review Our room also had one small issue that was easily overlooked but may cause the hotel somewhat of an issue is that the shower head was shooting water at the ceiling from a bad connection I’m sure this has just been overlooked due to the fact that they don’t use the shower while cleaning it Other than that Great stay amazing hotel with a great location

Calvin Taylor

The hotel is about what you’d expect–no frills They clean every two weeks, you have to empty your own trash, and fetch your own TP The rooms are clean

The bath is too cramped to use as a bath tub, but it works fine as a shower The beds are hard and you need to supply your own blankets The staff is friendly enough There are some ants and spiders, but no more substantial fauna Were that all, it wouldn’t be a bad placeBut the place is a disaster in other respects The phone doesn’t work (that’s okay in this era of cell phones) The key cards keep loosing their charge What’s killing me this morning is the refrigerator works so poorly that my milk curdled after 3 days I was really looking forward to some milk in my cereal :(I wish I’d payed a little extra

Rowland Richard Schroeder

RUN RUN RUN away from this place We had reservations Checked in

NO ONE up front Had to stand and wait Got our keys Hallways smell like POT Room is DISGUSTING Dirty OLD Fridge, No CUPS NO ICE BUCKET – NOTHING TO USE IN KITCHENETTE Ugly walls – stains and peeling Bathroom BIG red STAIN looks like someone was killed in there Room SMELLS AWFUL – combination of pot and must and NBO We ended up checking out immediately EMPLOYEE did not care NO SORRY NO APOLOGY NOTHING It was like we inconvenienced her We ended up driving down the street and went to stay a NEWLY RENOVATED PROPERTY around corner that was cheaper and like a 5 star resort for MUCH CHEAPER and included breakfast Will NEVER Recommend this hotel or its chain or stay at another one again

Very overpriced low-end dive Demanded and extra $10000 for us to pay with a debit card

They claimed they would mail the $10000 back some time in the future The continental breakfast was a joke A guy in a room behind a window, you have to ask, “do you have any sweetrolls?” He brings one Then you have to ask for coffee Then you have to ask for cream or sugar What a joke!!!!!

Fil M

Tl;dr: the charm is a facade, the area is next to a loud, busy street, and the bed is ancientThe “charm” stops in the lobby where you book a room I called ahead to ask for vacancies and gave me a quote

Once I head in, the woman who gave me the quote pretends she didn’t talk to me over the phone and gives me a more expensive quote My boyfriend steps in to ask her to honor the original quote and she plays dumb gives us a “discount” We end up regretting staying here bc this place is just a bunch of dusty junk in the rooms and and old beds with no consideration for comfort Continental breakfast was mentioned until 10am, but by 9:30am, it was all being packed up Never returning

Customer service and safety! I felt very safe in this hotel compared to other hotels in Pasadena Also, the room was clean and spacious, and the amenities were excellent The bigger reason for my rating is the customer service

Everyone was very pleasant and helpful The staff at Charlie’s Bar including Randy, Ashley, Rosie, Carlos, Adam, and Raul were very, very, very accommodating and friendly The registration desk employees were so nice! I felt comfortable and they were all so pleasant Thank you!

The beds are very comfortable It was so easy to get in and out of this hotel Its practically in the Pasadena Civic Center and right across the street from the Paseo Shoppes and restaurants on Colorado Blvd

I was also pleased with staff member Brady Brady was extremely accommodating and he goes the extra mile to ensure top professional service We enjoyed the pool area although there is no jacuzzi 🙁 The pool is slight heated and towels are provided We will definitely return later for another stay

Stayed in this hotel about two weeks ago and it was a great hotel Its proximity to the Convention Center made it an ideal option, and the quality of the room was solid As an ex-maintenance worker, the room checked out well

Only complaint would be a subpar exhaust fan in the bathroom Moving on to service, Ivan was wonderful He was extremely patient and helpful with my aging father in answering questions and accommodating our needs Would definitely come back to this hotel if I’m in the area needing a place to stay

This place is freaking NICE I stayed here on New Years Eve and there was a DJ in the lobby The music was fun and the atmosphere was fun

They only have valet parking so you’re going to have to tip the valet but you don’t have to pay for parking so that’s nice This is by far the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at The room was spotless and really nice inside

What a beautiful hotel I got a great price on the room (maybe because they haven’t been open for very long) The racetrack is directly across the street, but I drove there because the walk was too far for me because you have to walk across the parking lot

Hotel is close to everything! We had a great time and will return to try out the restaurant on-site The room was spacious and the mountain views were spectacular I want to try the city view side next time Highly recommend this location!

Wesley

Very nice, new hotel with a wonderful view of the mountains and the race track Service was top notch and the food was exquisite You gotta try the kale pasta

They also comped the $27 valet charge because I spent money on dinner and they gave me a $36 credit on breakfast because I’m lifetime Titanium elite! A must stop in Arcadia during racing season! I’ll be back

We had a concert at the Rose Bowl, and a friend recommended this hotel for us to stay atAt 1sr we were concerned about the distance, but was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get there from hereThe hotel staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful

The rooms were large and cleanOur room on the top floor, had a small fridge and microwaveThe bed was comfortable and everything look clean, even after checking closelyOur room was quiet from road and other guest even though we faced the streetOur room even had a small balcony, while no chairs to sit on, it was nice in May to open, turn off the A/C and let the fresh cool afternoon/evening air inThey did have free personal items downstairs if need at the front desk (Razors and such)The pool was clean and cold, not heated, but that didn’t bother usThe breakfast is the normal items you’d see at any motel nowadaysOverall al great place to stay

I stayed here for a few nights near the end of July and it was one of the more reasonably priced hotels close to Glendale My stay was enjoyable somewhat and the building is pretty quiet as whole which was nice The tall gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and he helped me during my entire stay

The only 2 complaints I have are the loud beeping sounds that came off from what I believe is the smoke alarm in the room I had a 1 bedroom suite and the room with the bed had a loud beep that goes off every half hour or so That was annoying but it didn’t bother me much but for other people it may be a problem Another issue we had was the mattress for the sofa bed had brown mystery stains, which I had noticed were on the curtains in the same room as well I’m not sure what the stains could be but I would leave it up to the imagination With the stains being there I just ended up folding the sofa bed back into place I didn’t want to make a big fuss out of it nor did I want to have to change rooms, getting the top floor is a rarity for me these days so I just ignored it during my stay Aside from those issues the rooms are pretty clean, much cleaner than other Marriott branded hotels I’ve stayed in The hotel itself is dated but you can tell they are trying to update it with a newer looking bathroom Overall I enjoyed my stay but the issues I had within my room made me lower my star rating for the hotel

The Courtyard by Marriott is a lovely hotel, who provided a wonderful banquet for our event The room was lovely, buffet food was delicious, and the service superb in the replenishment of the food at the buffet, water and tea at the tables, and clearing of plates after we’d eaten I’m sure that the bar outside the banquet room was well-manned, as well, as it was last year

I just didn’t happen to visit the bar for a drink this year, as I did last year The only reason that I gave it a 4-star, rather than a 5, was because at the end of the night, when I was saying, “Good night” to my friend and her son who were staying there, I said, “Have a peaceful night” Her reply was, “Well, that might be difficult, because this hotel is noisy as hell” They were staying there both Friday and Saturday night, because they live down in Manhattan Beach I didn’t stay there, because I don’t have to drive as far I’m sorry to hear that’s it’s not as peaceful there as it should be
