Got the 1 bedroom suite Kitchen had a stove, oven, microwave and full fridge The room, and entire resort was super clean

Beds were super soft, lots of pillows Very nice, enjoyed everythingMy only gripe is the staff could be a little more knowledgeable I found out from another guest that resort guest could enter the park an hour early, no staff ever mentioned this to me This is a huge deal when considering that the best rides can have over a 2 hour wait Our last day we got in the park 30 minutes early and we’re able to get in line for master blaster before the park actually opened We ended up riding all 4 of the extreme slides in the first hour and a half This knowledge would’ve made our first couple days much betterThere was also much confusion with the tram system They told me the resort tram ran every 15 minutes but it’s more like every 40 minutes I have this same complaint about the park itself, the employees only seem to know their job and their job only

Paid for this trip a couple months in advance to spend with my family We rented a condo that was 2 bedroom, 15 baths that slept up to 8 people

It also included a full kitchen and washer/dryer We were very excited to get there but immediately disappointed upon entering the room This condo looked like a wreck There was a hole in the half bath door, patches of holes that had been covered up on the walls but not painted Furniture was very old, scratched up, and dirty The dressers upstairs had missing knobs that were broken off The half bath toilet was clogged and we couldn’t use it and the upstairs sink was clogged so it was disgusting after we brushed our teeth The dishware and “pots/pans” that were available were useless and cheap The fridge had dents covering the outside and the inside shelves on the door were broken or severely bent to where it wouldn’t hold any condiments The fridge was set to cold and froze our juice and milk but the knob was missing so we couldn’t adjust it We had 2 vehicles that we were able to park in front of our room on the first night but when we left to go get ice, someone parked there and we had to park on the other side near other condos The issue with that was the vehicles parked in front of our room did not have resort guest tags but when we called the office, no one was available to answer the phone and assist They office is only available from 9-5pm We purchased season passes and the ONLY advantage to being at the resort was walking over to the park We didn’t have early access before general admission We had access after hours but only to 2 pools that were 3-4 feet each at the swim up bars but the bar was not open, there were no attendants, and no music Save your money, stay at a nice hotel and just drive to the park daily I would not stay at this “resort” ever again So not worth the money we paid for this condo

We stayed for our little man’s 9th birthday recently, and we had a great time! The only change we did not like was the one hr early entrance, and the one hr later park play has not been put back in place since new ownership I know they’re working a lot though in the park, and appreciate all the hands that are helping keep this beautiful park open! Service is always great!! Highly recommend season pass 😎

Horrible place to stay had kids running through the place all night didn’t get one ounce of relaxation The staff are incredibly rude and not trustworthy we’re told we could check in early and get to the hotel and we’re told have to wait until 3 even after we called ahead of time in advance No parking at night

Pool was full of kids the entire time and then on the last day they put a pool closed sign up after 2 days of it full of people Said online 2500 per pet excluded the part where it was per day Needless to say won’t stay here again

Ryan Cooley

No overly impressed with my stay here at the Holiday Inn I’ve had a few different instances of waiting for folks to come up to the front desk, consumables in the room not being replenished, and the coffee machine in my room was a little shoddy Far from unliveable, but not especially great

One nice pro is that they have had complimentary muffins and pastries in the lobby

Raul Huerta

I was wondering if it is against the law to use someone’s name because I’m not going to be able to give this hotel a good review Because my name is being used at this hotel and I told the person at the front desk that I want my name off But I do not want any one to use my name

There in room 411 and some one let them stay I can’t believe that they allowed someone to use my name in this place I want to let you know I’m not happy I’m sure that some one is there using my name you approved I room to be signed into my name I’m going have to ask you guys be ready I’m going to see if I have beetle directions to Seal improving and using my name without my consent and picture ID

Friendly and personable staff Booked room for a week, my daughters and i stayed The room was nice and clean and loved that I had a small kitchen so not to have to eat out all the time

One big disappointment was the pool being closed With it being spring break I picked this hotel specifically because of the pool and other amenities Over all it was a good experience

Matthew Parish (Mattrix)

I had a HORRIBLE experience with this “Hotel” mostly due to the parent companie’s reservation “service” Granted, my day was already on par to be one of the worst traveling for business days of my lifeDue to multiple events in town, it seemed to be near impossible to book ANY room, be it a 1 Star dive/crime scene(motel,) or what was supposed to be a 4-5 Star “Hotel

” I spent every moment from 4PM when my event was over for the day, until 11PM when I called the Hilton “Customer Service” number, trying to get into any room I could lay my head down for a few precious hours, until 8AM when I had to start the second/last day of one of the most important events financially that I’ve had so far this yearSo, I drove past one of Hilton’s Hotels, and decided to call the lobby, knowing that particular Hotel usually starts around the $250-300 range(on weekdays when they aren’t busy) So, I was prepared to hear that I was going to have to pay $3-400 minimum to stay there Well, no such luck They didn’t have any rooms and the person on the other end of the line(Hilton apparently outsources their phone rooms to somewhere in the Middle East,) proceeds to tell me that they have a room that is only 10 miles away I agree and book the room for just over $300, after agreeing that it is past time for their cancellation policy and that if I cancel, the room would still be charged to my card I asked him several times if I could hold the room with my card, but pay in cash when I arrived He insisted that would not be a problemWell, the room ended up being 45 minutes away, and when I got there, of course I couldn’t pay in cash I didn’t have $300+ on a card, and being 11PM, I couldn’t go to the drugstore and put the money on one The lady was very rude, and threatened to call the police on me when I asked to speak to the manager Unbelievable! Worst experience with a Hotel chain that I thought would never treat their members like thatI ended up staying at a Motel(not Hotel,) by the freeway that was sure to be frequented by the police on a nightly basis, for $100 Never again Hilton

Chorizo Assassin

Had multiple issues with hotel first anytime I tried to talk to someone at the front desk I had to chase someone down or wait 10 minutes for someone to come help me Also had problems trying to extend my stay at the hotel The general manager had assured me he would take care of it and call me if any issues arise

He never contacted me back after several attempts to figure out why they couldn’t extend it Just seems like customer service is not one of there main priorities and it shows in certain situations like that Definitely not gonna stay here ever again

First time coming here and came with the family…husband and I and our two twenty year old kids Stayed in dream catcher and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Great amenities such as gas grill, green egg, huge fire pit for s’mores with large comfy stargazing chairs and golf cart was icing on the cake! Fireflies were everywhere and met Buster the raccoon also saw about 10 dear every night The river was beautiful!!! Thank you Wahwahtaysee for allowing my family to reconnect

Already planning another visit Great hospitality by the owners! You just obtained a customer for life!

We went with a group of 4 families All with little kids Each family stayed in a different tent

They were all AMAZING So clean, lovely decor & plenty of room The grounds was all groomed and kept up so well You get a golf cart for your entire stay which made it so convenient getting around The patios are huge with a gate around them so your little kids and dogs stay confined on the deck with you We even had room to put an inflatable pool on the deck for them to play in (Brought our own water hose There’s a water spicket just not a hose) We want to come back here for years to come!!

hollenbeck to nowhere

This was an incredible experience! We stayed in the “Big Dipper” yurt here Your private yurt comes with its own off-road golf cart It has two small bedrooms and a bathtub (which is amazing ) and shower

It also has an outdoor shower (which I prefer more) The yurt comes with a TV, small fridge, French press coffee maker, dishes and Yeti cup wareThere is a grill with an attached big green egg smoker There is a fire pit which was essential during our stayThe owners and staff were quite friendly and helpfulYou can take your golf cart out and explore around the property which sits on the San Marcos river There is a volleyball court and a corn hole game The sunsets were amazing at our yurt This place made all my worries disappear It felt like I was in a remote part of the Africa I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did

We absolutely loved our stay at Creekhaven Inn! From the beginning, the staff was so welcoming and caring, and they really thought of every little thing The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were spotless and adorableThey even left a handwritten note on our breakfast tray the first morning welcoming us – who does that anymore? Such a nice touch! You can tell they really take pride in what they do and are happy to have you stay there

We also loved the amenities: kayaks, creek access, bikes, hot tub – we did it all! Definitely coming back Thank you for making our stay a memorable one!

The staff goes above and beyond and all around they show personal touches which make you feel welcomed They are quick and polished and know their jobs well The customer service is the best of any stay I have had in last couple years

I travel at least twice a month By far the top of my list The hotel is well known and has a reputation for being a good value for the money I was a little surprised by the wear and tear of the pool furniture and had to search to find one that was not ripped so badly I was in fear of its safety or comfort Our Premium room had a distinct unpleasant animal urine smell that was hard to ignore Other than needing some updating the room had everything we needed for our stay The black out curtains did a great job of keeping the morning sun out and the bed was comfortable I highly recommend a stay here but am hoping that some updating of the rooms to get rid of the smell-not sure if it was just our or not, and better pool deck furniture-is in the future Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars The staff are deserving of five stars

Terri Hayley

Great facility Especially for an Embassy Suites which is now a Hilton Enormous lobby, restaurant/bar has good food and drinks

Daily Happy Hour from 5:30 – 7 PM Bar closes at 10 PM The hotel is shaped like theater in the round The rooms are around the perimeter of the property, maybe 15 stories high, and the lobby is in the center Kind of like the Gaylord if you’ve been Nice check-in They have waters, sundries and a few snacks as well for purchase behind check-in desk Meeting rooms are nice, could be better lit and microphones would help Our daily breakfasts and lunches at the conference were nice My suite was huge compared to typical hotel rooms Had a separate room for sofa, desk, TV, few chairs in the living area A bar, wet sink, fridge, closet and bathroom with tub/shower combo in between the 2 rooms Bedroom had 2 queen beds, thermostat (behind bedroom door), TV, nightstand, lamps and a nice bright window to outside with blackout curtains There’s a spa at this resort, too, but didn’t get to enjoy while working

Valerie Lotito

Excellent service! Respectful staff! Beautiful hotel; the room was very nice Parking felt secure and employees were very accommodating; they made it a point to check in to see how our stay was going and asked if we needed anything They were very responsive to all requests! Overall, great stay and great experience

We will definitely be staying here again in the future

Very clean and convenient location behind the San Marcos outlets Fantastic for out of town shoppers You could walk to the outlets if you really wanted

The day we visited it was like a 103 🥵 so that was a no go! 😂Pet friendly but heads up this is private owned Location so they charge a $20 pet fee while most locations are free if you are a member Along with the pet fee they ask you sign a waiver or two, it was kinda annoying Staff was friendly and helpful It was a perfect stay for those no frills trips close to shopping We had a late check-in and the area was safe with nearby food

Steve Cowden

Modern hotel that’s situated pretty close to everything It’s less than 5 minutes from the Outlet Mall and only 5 miles from a myriad of restaurants and Cafe’s That’s a huge plus because there’s nothing but Fast Food spots by the hotel

Also, considering we stayed at the start of Spring Break, our rate was very affordableOur room was very clean and the beds weren’t too soft There was a small fridge and a microwave in the room, which comes in handy, especially if you have your kids with you The extra TV in the lounge area definitely came in handy as well My only complaint would be about the Shower Door It jams so you actually had to lift it to be able to slide it My wife actually got stuck in the shower because of it That’s why I’m giving 4☆’s instead of 5Breakfast was good and lots of choices, both cold and hot food were available This was actually the only Breakfast Bar I’ve seen that had Refried Beans as an option and also a mini pancake maker Everything was kept clean, and food was well stockedAs for the Staff, everyone was friendly and helpful We’d stay here again w/o question

david ricalde

Really really surprised that a 2 star hotel would be this impressive Clean, people are polite and helpful, breakfast was great which I’ve never seen in a 2 star hotel We decided to stay here because daughter was touring Texas State and wife wanted to shop at the outlet malls which is right next to it

Location is perfect for both Really surprised by the area too, everyone was friendly and at least this part of the city is great Very impressed with San Marcos and would recommend it to anyone

Perfect stay for what we needed! The room was clean and the bed was comfy The staff was beyond friendly The star of the hotel was definitely the breakfast and kitchen staff

The waffles and spinach quiche were actually some of the best I’ve ever had I even saw the lady checking the internal temperature of the food sitting out to make sure it was fresh! One morning they had a coffee truck parked out front as well Overall very impressed with this hotel and would be back

Jody B.

I stayed here for 6 nights (5/14 to 5/20) Everything was great The room was clean, I had plenty of towels, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked great

I could have requested my room to be cleaned throughout my stay but I was fine If I needed towels or any other amenities I just requested them and they would either bring them up or I can pick them up at the desk Check-in was easy and staff that I met throughout my stay was very courteous and extremely nice I ate breakfast there four days out of the six I follow a keto diet and was able to eat the bell pepper frittata, boiled eggs, yogurt with nut topping and there was also a spinach egg bites A few times I got the sausage biscuit and just ate the sausage They also had sugar waffles, toast, danishes, Cereals and oatmeal too Overall, I have no idea why there are poor reviews My room was 303 which was perfect and I was at the very back I could hear some of the freeway traffic but once you turn on your air condition or any other type of noise in the room that outside noise was nothing to be bothered by If I ever return to the area, I will definitely stay here again There was ample parking outside, very lit for safety, the elevators work well, and I love having the refrigerator and microwave in the room I am a solo female traveler and felt extremely safe being there

Mary Ames

Nice hotel The staff was friendly but was always promising and never delivering

we needed a bandaid and they said they said they would bring it right upnever happened Asked for a few extra towels and that never happened But, everyone is understaffed these days so we didn’t get upset The room was great, very spacious and comfortable The bed was super comfy Would definitely stay again, but we will remember to bring bandaids🤣

Kathrine Lopez

The hotel is clean and spacious The staff is courteous and friendly The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is they typically offer free continental breakfast

It was not free The charge was $875 but the menu looked good Only coffee was offered for free anytime Also the restaurant had a very limited menu and was pricey so I opted to eat out Otherwise a great place to stay!

Emma

Great location to where we were in New Braunfels The room was a little dark and nothing fancy, but I did not mind because everything was clean! And yes, I did check the sheets! We had a ladies weekend and all of us stayed here No complaints from any of us

I would return if the occasion arose Breakfast was fresh and served hot, along side a great selection of breads and other breakfast items

The rooms are clean The environment is peace and quiet after a hard days work Christian and Miles at the front desk will smile and welcome you to this beautiful home-away-from-home I highly recommend it

Very nice property, located close to nearly everything you need in San Marcos The rooms are small efficiency apartments, with full sized refrigerator/freezer, range top, dishwasher Didn’t spend much time in the room, but it was a relaxing space to come back to after being out and about all day

Good breakfast provided by the hotel Would definitely return the next time I’m in San Marcos

When we got there there was a horrible stench They told us they sprayed something We tried the pool but too cold and no jacuzzi

Wouldn’t have minded softer and warmer blankets The trash cans are sooo tiny Love the big fridge Shower nothing special like Marriott It’s pretty expensive for moderate accommodations Breakfast is free and had keto options

Great hotel This was a personal trip, which I don’t do often at all I travel regularly for work and have come to expect great service and a super clean room

I got that and beyond here They even had a deodorant stick for me when I realized I forgot one The gentleman at the desk didn’t have any on him, but went far out of his way to call around to find some Great folks – I expect to be back and will absolutely stay here!!

This is a really nice hotel Yes, they are short-staffed, but it doesn’t reflect the cleanliness of the hotel or courteousness of the staff I’ve had positive interactions each time I came and left and have had no issues with our hotel room

I love being at the end of the hall because the stairs are right in front of the room The only thing I don’t like are the light buttons, especially in the bathroom I’m sure they are conserving energy but they are so difficult to turn on and off normally Aside from that, we are having a great time here

This hotel is a pretty standard Marriott similar to the others However, it is very WARM and the rooms don’t seem to have much control over the a/c, nor do they have safesHowever, the staff is super friendly and really great, so they make up for the warmth (and let us borrow a fan)!

The hotel and room was clean The room was VERY warm The man at the front desk told us the A/c was broken and would not be fixed until next week

He said it was only working on the first floor Hr also told me there is nothing that could be done about it We couldnt change rooms or have our rate adjusted they couldnt let us knowabout this so we could bring a fan?now looking at the reviews it looks like this issue goes back 2 months I will not be staying here again

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend it was our first time to stay at the lodge, we got to stay in one of the newly remodeled rooms I just want to say the sheets and bedding were awesome and bed was comfortable The room is done really cute

The only thing we would we complain about for the price is the tv selection was not good and there was no clock in the room, the outdoor terrain is not good, could be cleaned up outside better for guest The office staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome

Stayed with my fiancé last weekend It was a great experience We stayed in one of the remodeled rooms, which was incredible

Really cool modern take on a motel vibe Comfortable bed, nice shower, clean sheets The staff were friendly and the pool was great with a beautiful view of hill country It’s also a very short drive away from downtown Wimberley The lady at the front desk gave us some recommendations for where to eat and grab a drink which we took her up on Very relaxing weekend We look forward to coming back again this summer

Edit: we were offered a discounted rate to go back We had a truly fantastic experience this time The renovated rooms are beautiful, beds super comfy, pool super clean with an amazing view

The location is fantastic and staff was very responsive all the time We look forward to going back for another weekend getaway!Previous review: I wish I could say our stay was good I really do; the facilities are very charming and clean What could have been a great experience was met with disappointing communication and lack thereofWe were never told repairs were going to be made on the deck of our room during our stay We were woken up with room-trembling drilling, hammer knocks and workers talking (not the workers fault) My husband opens up our balcony curtains and we find ourselves face to face with the repairmen So much for privacyEven more, the power was cut off for say repairs, so no coffee making, TV, hair drying, phone charging at this timeEven though weren’t going to use the pool, we might have wanted to go use the lounging chairs to stargaze The pool was closed for repairs Again, that wasn’t ever communicatedWe tried to find a movie to rent in the TV It seemed like it was possible but we got an error message We contacted front desk but they didn’t know what to do, or if watching movies in the room was even possibleAnd this might not be the lodge’s fault, but there was loud partying with music, banging and screaming at 2am I wish there was someone on site to make sure this doesn’t happenThe facilities are clean and cute And it is a good location I wish our stay would have been a relaxing one We barely slept
