BEWARE!!! Reservations don’t mean much here We made a reservation here over 45 days in advance for a guaranteed full hook up spot 3 days prior to our arrival we received a phone call that our spot had been given away (by Mike) to another party that were going to stay longer

Their resolution to put us in their overflow location without the full hookup service we required and reserved Thankfully were were able to find another place to stay When we called back to tell them that we would not be staying in their overflow, Mike said “oh good, you figured something else out” I’d like to hope that this is not usual for them, but I wouldn’t be willing to try it out again

Wonderful service, great view and awesome food! I was very pleasantly surprised with the entire experience my husband and I had right from the start When making reservations the host, Dylan, was extremely polite and welcoming Once seated our server, Laura, was very prompt (no time waiting after being seated) friendly and helpful in our menu choices which included a bottle of wine, pan fried oysters and cioppino

Everything was fantastic, we’ll be back

Melissa Stivason

A restaurant where you are paying for the view and the ambiance That definately can’t be beat The food is good

But overpricedIt was a slow night, only 2 other tables occupied Really surprised at how long everything took to come out Drinks, appetizers, food Errors on the bill Bread and butter ordered but never brought to table but still on bill The waitress was very nice and friendly, but food not brought out and not noticing that 3 steak dinners were on bill when only 2 ordered? We ordered a wine that the waitress didn’t know was sold out because “delivery order didn’t come in” she had to return to have us choose something different That’s a lack of Restaurant management skills in my opinion Also, the steaks that were ordered at different rare levels were placed in front of wrong people We both took a bite before we noticed and had to swap dinners A self proclaimed fine dining restaurant that charges these prices shouldn’t have amateur mistakes of this type It detracted from the special event evening

It was a wonderful meal Sherry F Is why it was so wonderful

Her personality was amazing I have been in many restaurants around the world, I would have to say Sherry was one of the best servers I have ever had It was my wife’s Birthday and Sherry added that extra special touch She was so intentive I am a water drinker and hate to have to ask for more My glass was never empty Thank you Sherry for all you did!

This is the most delightful place to stay The rooms are gorgeous and clean with very thoughtful touches like makeup remover towels The staff was very accommodating of my grandma who required a wheelchair access room

They remembered her and followed up at breakfast to make sure she was taken care of Everyone there is extremely kind and caring and the breakfast was next level good The morning I was there I was able to try a fresh frittata and blueberry French toast in addition to fresh baked muffins and fresh fruit The lobby and common areas are so cute and well decorated I can’t wait to return The vibe is so comfortable and sweet It feels like coming home

I did NOT stay And I’ve never left a bad review for a circumstance like this! Although I have stayed there before a few x years ago and liked it ,Today I went in to inquire about a room I appealed to the woman informing her that I’d had a very hard ( loss) today and would it please be ok if I looked at a room prior to booking as I “really need the privacy and to be comfortable tonight ” she was so horribly rude saying it’s “against the rules”I said “Human to human, woman to woman, could I just peek in with you from the hallway? She snapped back NOI asked if she was the manager

She said It’s “MY business and NO due to Covid”?? (She wasn’t wearing a mask)Then she added there’s no room here anywayI told her she was incredible rude and callous and I’d never book here againWhat’s become of regular manners and empathy? I’m a senior and was clearly calm with a calm voice but visible tears

If what you expect from a hotel is a bed and four walls then this place has you covered, barely though Cheap hotel doesn’t even begin to describe the sub par accomodations Most of the people working here were friendly when I spoke with them

However, not much was done in terms of making it a nice place to stay Linens in the room seemed mostly clean The carpets were another story Stains and smell prevail At least a place like this has a free breakfast buffet We all know what to expect but when I come down at 7:30 to find no plates and most of the fresh food gone then I start to question everything else A chain hotel should at least offer a clean and adequate experience This hotel couldn’t get any of that right

K H

This BW is easy to find in a quiet business park location with plenty of parking We stay here often The staff has always been friendly and professional

The building is older with large spacious rooms Beds are comfortable and our sheets, pillows and towels are always clean and freshThe hotel offers their complimentary breakfast in a secure room just off the spacious lobby Hand sanitizer is prominently placed as you enter the room Hot and cold meal choices are offered with fresh fruit and standard cereal choicesThere is a nice Mexican restaurant a few steps from the hotel

Katelyn Collins

The room wasn’t very clean, if it were up to me I would have left The linens had long thick black hairs on them in places and the carpet had stains The building is extremely outdated and not in a great area

Shower had hair, too, but got very hot and stayed hot so that is goodWe went down for breakfast in the morning and opened the door to the breakfast room and were met with an extremely musty, unappetizing smell Not only that, but they had allowed someone to take their dog in there Keep in mind, counters and tables aren’t super high So we just turned around and left, the smell + the dog was too much Didn’t look like it had a service vest on or anything like thatWouldn’t stay again, I would suggest crossing the river and staying somewhere in the more populated area for $10 more Staff was nice and room had plenty of space, other than that not a great experience

Awesome hotel stay! We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and the person who checked us in (I don’t remember their name) was very nice and was able to answer any questions we had The rooms were nice and clean The breakfast was not the best, but what can you expect – it a complementary hotel breakfast

We only stayed one night, but it was a good one and I would happily return if I’m ever in town again

It was everything we expected from a family run B&B, and more Joan and John are phenomenal hosts There was a wholesome genuine vibe from the time they welcomed us to the time we left

We felt very comfortable in their home The beds were comfy, each of our rooms (and we took the entire upstairs between our 5 family members) had its own bathroom and full access to the balcony We had a chance to enjoy an evening around their fire pit and were pleasantly welcomed by a candlelit outdoors Their breakfasts were easily some of the best food we enjoyed throughout our trip, thank you chef Joan!

Gail Engebretson

Our stay at Katy’s Inn was delightful We couldn’t have asked for a better experience The Inn itself is beautiful – a well preserved old historic house just a couple blocks from the heart of downtown La Conner

Our hosts, John and Joan were so welcoming They constantly went above and beyond to make us feel at home, comfortable and well informed We really enjoyed chit chatting with them And they are both excellent cooks as we found out at breakfast each morning The breakfasts were plentiful, delicious, well balanced in flavors, colors and textures, and locally sourced as much as possible My husband said that the best meal of each day while we were in La Conner was our breakfasts The whole place was meticulously clean We stayed in the garden room and it was lovely, light and airy We were supplied with super soft sheets, towels and bathrobes plus everything else a quality inn or hotel would provide And the bed was very comfortable – and I’m picky about beds! There was a beautiful wrap-around porch with rocking chairs, an upstairs deck, a gazebo and gardens that we look forward to enjoying when we come back in warmer weather It’s obvious that John and Joan have put their hearts and souls into this place and created a little piece of nirvana

Jaime Billingsley

Our stay at Katy’s Inn was wonderful! Quaint, comfortable, and charming Loved the old house and the outdoor space is beautiful We really enjoyed the communal breakfast with the other guests, it was absolutely delicious too! They also have an outdoor seating area with a fire pit that was pretty awesome

It is walking distance to town, it really couldn’t have been better We would recommend it to everyone and will be happy to visit again in the future!!

Great location on the Swinomish channel in La Conner with views of the passing boats and occasionally eagles The queen bed rooms are reasonably spacious with small decks overlooking the waterfront The bed was very comfortable

The furniture and accessories are upscale We found the staff to be engaging, capable, and informative Breakfast was included, and very good Highly recommend

Gene McAndrew

Disappointed Paid a high price for the weekend and when I got to my room I was let down I have a view of the parking lot

$650 view of the parking lotThe room has oversized chairs that dominate the room and make it next to impossible to enjoy the fire place in the room The bathroom is small and very hotI thought I was going to enjoy my stay but now every time I return to this room I feel as if I was tricked into paying full price for a half price room

Had the King room Was clean and comfortable Larger room than typical room

Also had a couch Assume it is a pullout, but we didn’t need another bed so never checked It was nice to sit up rather than having to sit or lay on the bed Only thing is a loud bathroom fan, however not a big deal Breakfast was what I would expect from a hotel Staff was pleasant Never used the pool so I don’t have a comment for it

The room was clean and the location was good as it was off the freeway However, the customer service treatment was extremely poor and the noise was horrible I made the reservation a month ago for multiple rooms

When I realized I need a connecting room, I immediately called the hotel I was told they was put my request on my reservation At 4:00 PM of the day of my arrival, I realized I will not arrive at the establishment until 7ish, I called the establishment and was informed I will not get a reconnecting room And, the room will not be next to each other The room will be several hundred yard apart I was already disappointed I didn’t get a connecting room However, I was extremely upset when I check-in, I discovered that the two rooms are indeed several hundred yards apart and it will be separate by the elevator My room was next to the elevator and the other room was on top of their the dinning room Throughout the night, the elevator kept waking me up I previously stay at this establishment and had an exceptional experience Now I am regretting my decision If I am in Burlington, WA, I will seek other establishments Or I will drive a little further north or south of Burlington and staying at other establishments I understand a connecting room may not feasible but I find it hard to believe that the hotel cannot put the two rooms next to each other or across from each other Throughout this ordeal, the hotel didn’t apologize except we may not able to accommodate your request With the amount I paid for this establishment, I could have stay at four or five star hotel

J.D. Prowse

Sadly, the Hot tub was out of order during my stay It is quickly becoming a joke with peers, like how the ice cream machine is down whenever you go to that fast food burger joint, all three of my stays this year at every Holiday Inn have had at least one day, if not all three where I could not use pool or hot tub facilities At least this one had proper posting and signage

The pool facility is very nice looking and well kept Additionally, I had the print out from the big name corporate booking, but since I was not entrusted with the corporate credit card, the desk agent didn’t move past the reservation number At least it was explained the need for their internal CCA form, so I can avoid this problem of having to go back and get the stay expensed out None of the other coworkers encountered this issue in their front desk experience The breakfast was good, coffee is in a separate area, along with the kurig in the room I liked the lighting and furniture in the room, effective use of the space for spreading out Got a fair amount of work done in the room

This is about as basic as can be, fine as long as you are aware of what you’re getting The rooms are adequate but they are extremely stingy with the towels and bedding We were given only one bath towel to use between the two of us

The single pillow we each had was thin and flatThe location is good for access to the North Cascades, just don’t expect a comfortable sleeping experience

Mike B

Check in was interesting to say the least The desk clerk wasn’t too friendly might have been a language barrier there since I do not think she could speak English which made it pretty awkward

Not a bad price considering rates elsewhere in the same area The room was basic could use upgrading and smelled like smoke badly but at least was clean I wouldn’t recommend

Tiffany Auberg

We live in Idaho 7+ hours away and had a last minute family emergency and needed a place to stay first I called koa in Burlington and they were absolutely super super rude and wouldn’t let us come in late I called three rivers and talked to Maria and she was awesome she said I will hold the room and talk to my manager Very very nice, helpful and actually wanting our business

Usually when you book in advance like 2 weeks out, you would think that you would get a better rate… I booked at $17910 before tax almost 2 weeks before my arrival date, but when I checked their rates on my check-in date, the same room was listed at $13000

What a joke Also, this place is extremely noisy Paper thin walls so you can hear everything the weird next door people are saying and doing at 2am None of the doors have the door closer calibrated so all the doors are constantly slamming shut when you are trying to sleep The water heater broke and so there was no hot water on one of the nights and one of the guest told me they were still selling their rooms without mentioning there is no hot water When we called the front desk to ask what was happening with the hot water, they didn’t bother answering the phone They were pretty rude in general The gym never had any towels available, so you have to get them from the pool At least have some decent coffee but no that’s asking too much I would never recommend or come back to this place

Vladislav Vancák

We only stayed in the hotel for one night, and overall the experience was quite positive – the room was (by my standards) very large The beds were OK, a bit squeaky in places The shower was nice, but the door handle was very loose and will definitely come off in the upcoming days

Unfortunately, we found some hair in the room lobby and in the bathroom After we complained, the front desk lady gave us a vacuum and we had to clean the floor ourselves However, given the price tag for this place I’d still recommend this hotel – yes, it’s not the most modern or fancy, but it’s still a decent place for a fair price

Jack Otto

Booked a room here for my mother in law who was getting treatment at the hospital Super clean hotel and it’s relatively new Hot breakfast every morning

Fitness room and indoor pool as well I wished I was staying here Super friendly staff too If you are looking for a hotel in the Mount Vernon area be sure to check this hotel out!

My husband and I love The Heron Inn and Day Spa! Alvin and Lola(his cute dog) are the very best every time we visit The rooms are always spotless and you can tell staff here take it seriously and work really hard to provide the best for everyoneWe love hanging out at the fireplace and enjoying coffee and tea before we go to bed

Breakfast is healthy, and fresh and I’m not sure if we book it for the wonderful rooms and people or for the breakfast Thank you so much everyone at The Heron!

The room was clean and the inn itself is accommodating and quiet The bed was pretty uncomfortable but I feel like the beds at hotels and inns are rarely idealI’m putting 3 stars mostly due to mine and my spouses spa experience

We paid for 2 different packages and were not impressed by what we received I got a mini facial and a 60 minute massage and he received the head to toe package My facial was probably the saddest facial experience I’ve ever had She cleansed my face and put a sheet mask on it and called it a day The facial was supposed to be 30 minutes but most of that I sat there with a sheet mask on My spouse got the head to toe which is supposed to include a scalp massage and the massage therapist spent maybe 3 minutes on his scalpThe inn is cute and we love the town but will forgo the spa experience

Sasha Wallace

We went here for our honeymoon in July From the first moment, Alvin was solicitous, kind, and knowledgeable He moved us to a bigger bed – without us even asking – and even printed out restaurant menus for us when we were searching for seafood (his two recommendations, Nell Thorn & La Conner Seafood & Prime Rib, were delicious!) The room (21) was spacious, comfortable, had a fridge, had adjustable window unit for AC and a rotating fan, and was clean

It wasn’t too noisy despite being on the second floor Breakfast was tasty – scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, coffee, and English muffins, with fruit and yogurt Parking was easy and free Everything was within walking distance and there was even a cherry tree outside our window I highly recommend this slow-paced, friendly slice of tranquility Thank you Alvin and Kam for your hospitality!
